Kacey Musgraves has released a studio version of the oft-covered Bob Marley and The Wailers classic “Three Little Birds.” Her rendition is for Reinaldo Marcus Green’s upcoming biopic Bob Marley: One Love.
Musgraves wisely didn’t try to replicate Marley’s roots reggae instrumentation here. Instead, she used his melodies and evergreen lyrics over a gentle acoustic guitar strum, some minimal drums, and a pedal steel. It’s all blanketed in heavy reverb, staying authentic to the comforting quality of the original song while making it her own.
“Three Little Birds” is just one of six Marley covers on an eponymous EP accompanying One Love. That’ll also feature Leon Bridges, Daniel Caesar, Bloody Civilian, Jessie Reyez, Wizkid, and Bob’s grandson Skip Marley. Stream Musgraves’ contribution and then see the full EP tracklist below.

H.E.R. may not be hiding behind her signature sunglasses anymore, but she's still just as private with her personal life. The Emmy-, Grammy-, and Oscar-winning multihyphenate is a whiz when it comes to writing love songs, but she's not so forthcoming in discussing her own dating life.
H.E.R., real name Gabi Wilson, has rarely disclosed her romances. Back in 2016, the "Beauty and the Beast" star - who's also starring in the upcoming musical movie version of "The Color Purple" - offered up a small detail about her love life in an interview with the Los Angeles Times when she recalled how she created her musical persona. According to the outlet, H.E.R. "the concept" was born out of a studio as the singer was recovering from a broken heart due to a toxic relationship, though she never name-dropped her ex. The R&b field at the Grammys is often one of the most competitive. This year we have everything from surprise newcomers to established veterans all in the running for gold. So let’s dive in to figure out who will win and who could potentially upset.
SEELuke James on his Grammy nomination for ‘To Feel Love/d’ and why this album felt like his ’emancipation’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
Best R&b Performance
This is probably an easy win for Beyoncé with “Black Parade.” The song is nominated for three other awards, including Record and Song of the Year, and it’s the only nominee in this category to get into Best R&b Song. However, watch out for an upset, since past artists like Rihanna and H.E.R. have lost here despite nominations in the general field.

Now in it’s 2021 iteration, the RavensCourt/Voxler Let’s Sing franchise is now seemingly the only karaoke game left in a market that used to be completely saturated… Thankfully Let’s Sing 2021 is Still flying the flag for a genre that, only a few years ago was flourishing. So what happened? Well I blame TikTok… I joke of course, but as a super-fan of karaoke games I can’t understand why we can get a myriad of Need for Speed games no one wants, a ton of Assassin’s Creed titles that are – essentially – all the same game yet it’s the karaoke genre that’s dying out; a genre that can be revitalised every year given the right set of songs and the right game mechanics. Though judging by the traffic our reviews of Let’s Sing still get years after debuting, a Lot of other people love these game too!

Major Lazer and Khalid use a gunshot as a breakup metaphor on their reflective new song, “Trigger.”
“It’s obvious that you’re already gone/So unleash your weapon, aim it at my chest,” Khalid sings over the group’s simmering synths and minimal electronics. “If our love is a drug, you’re the one with the trigger/Shoot me down, shoot me down/I don’t wanna remember you.”
The brief track — two verses, two choruses — builds to a wordless hook of trendy, pitch-shifted vocals and a stuttering dance beat.

Skip Marley, grandson of Bob Marley, cruises through Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood in the reggae artist’s low-key video for “That’s Not True,” his collaborative track with his uncle Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.
Director Andrew Sandler follows Skip as he views friends and locals: barbers cutting hair, people playing dice and kids kicking around a soccer ball. “Don’t you fall from grace — brother don’t through it all away,” he sings on the track over a dubby, horn-heavy groove. “A wise man used to say, ‘Money ain’t life,...

Actor Idris Elba makes his directing debut with Yardie, a tale about a young Jamaican, haunted by his DJ brother’s murder, who makes his way to London in the employ of a Kingston-based gang boss.
“Yardie” is slang for Jamaican gang members, a term the pops up on the streets of the London’s Hackney neighborhood, home to large Jamaican immigrant community. It is where D (Ami Ameen) finds himself after his boss King Fox (Sheldon Shepherd) sends him to London to deliver a package of drugs to Rico (Stephen Graham), a fuzzy-haired, white Jamaican under-boss.
But the story really starts years earlier in Jamaica, where 10-year-old Dennis (Antwayne Eccleston), who goes by the nickname D., lives just outside Kingston with his older brother, a street DJ known as...
