A Titan Airways plane once used by King Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, and other VIPs experienced an air emergency. The Airbus had to make a U-turn and return to the airport due to missing and damaged windows.
King Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were not on the airplane when it had mechanical problems. However, other passengers did experience the issue.
The plane was once used by the royal family, the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and James Cleverly, the UK’s Foreign Secretary, on official trips abroad, reports The Telegraph. The incident took place in October 2023.

French film and TV company Gaumont has announced it is developing a six-part drama devoted to French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife Brigitte Macron.
The Paris-based company said the film would consist of six 45-minute episodes and be entitled Brigitte, une femme libre, which translates as “Brigitte, a free woman” but is not confirmed as the international title.
“Written by Bénédicte Charles and Olivier Pouponneau, this series retraces the romantic trajectory of the first lady, Brigitte Macron,” Gaumont said in a succinct press release on Tuesday.
Charles and Pouponneau previously collaborated on the Abu Dhabi-set spy thriller Mirage and serial killer mini-series Spiral of Lies.
Gaumont did not reveal any further information on the storyline, cast or other producing partners.

France’s first lady, Brigitte Macron, will be the subject of a biopic series produced by French mini-major Gaumont.
The six-part show is being penned by Bénédicte Charles and Olivier Pouponneau, who previously teamed on the thriller series “J’ai menti.”
Titled “Brigitte, une femme libre”, the series will chart the life of French President Emmanuel Macron’s wife. Gaumont is keeping the plot of the show under wraps and will be announcing the cast in the next few weeks.
Brigitte Macron’s life story surely provides plenty of material for a TV series. She met Emmanuel Macron while teaching theater at the Catholic high school Providence in Amiens. Macron was then 15 years old, while she was 40 and married with three children. In a recent interview with Paris Match, Brigitte Macron talked about her anxiety over their age gap, saying that her “head was in a mess” after she fell in...

French President Emmanuel Macron Responds For First Time To Rumors That Wife Brigitte Is Transgender
French President Emmanuel Macron shut down claims his wife, Brigitte Macron, was born a man. On International Women’s Day, Macron, 47, addressed the rumors that his wife, 70, is transgender, saying they were misogynistic attacks.
“The worst thing is the false information and fabricated scenarios,” said President Macron. “People eventually believe them and disturb you, even in your intimacy.”
Two French women were fined after spreading these rumors. However, they were able to reduce their fines on appeal, claiming they were intimidated by authorities to cover up a “state secret.” The women have been identified as Amandine Roy and Natacha Rey.
In December 2021, Roy and Rey were featured in a four-hour YouTube video in which they said Brigitte was born as a man named Jean-Michel Trogneux, the name of her brother.
Macron’s step-daughter Tiphanie Auziére briefly mentioned the rumors in an interview with Paris Match.

Brigitte Macron, France’s First Lady, Loses Lawsuit Against YouTubers Who Claimed She Was Born A Man
On December 10, 2021, two women, one identifying as a “medium” and the other as an “independent journalist,” posted a video on YouTube, claiming that France’s First Lady, Brigitte Macron, 69, was born male at birth and transitioned at 18.
On February 15, 2022, Macron issued a complaint against the women, claiming it was an invasion of privacy and image rights. She wanted the video to be taken down and payment of damages the video caused.
In Memoriam 2022: 100 Great Celebrities Who Died In 2022
The complaint was voided by the court on March 7, citing the complaint should have been filed as public defamation instead of an invasion of privacy and image.
The video went viral around the time Macron’s husband, Emmanuel Macron, 45, was running in France’s 2022 presidential election. Despite any negative press that might have arisen, Emmanuel won re-election to a second term.
However, another scandal came to light surrounding Brigitte and Emmanuel’s relationship.

Jennifer Garner is reportedly considering a career move in the political direction — and apparently, big-time filmmaker JJ Abrams and his wife, producer Katie McGrath, are all for it.
The pursuit of politics has been a long time coming for the 13 Going On 30 actress. “Even though Jen came from humble roots, she was filled with potential beyond just acting from a very early age,” they told The U.S. Sun. “With her kids finally older and more independent, she’s exploring stuff she missed out on in her thirties, like being much more politically active than ever, and trying to use her fame and reputation for good. Jen really does have a taste for politics, plus she’s just such an appealing person to all her friends, conservative and liberal.”

It’s been reported that one of the documents recovered in the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago was the source of Donald Trump’s boasting that he had private intelligence regarding the sex life of French President Emmanuel Macron.
An internal FBI list summarizing seized materials begins with item 1a: “info re: President of France,” with little confirmation on what else was within them.
Trump has reportedly told close associates about the information according sources who spoke to Rolling Stone, but it’s unclear if these recovered files have anything to do with potential details on Macron’s sex life.
The source did insist, however, that it’s “hard to tell if he’s bullsh––ting or not.”

The Tokyo Olympic Games got underway on Friday a year late and after much rethinking — not to mention behind the scene drama and protests. Its opening ceremony, without spectators in the stadium, began in both spectacular and ethereal fashion.
With a mixture of pre-recorded and live performances in the stadium, the ceremony opened with fireworks around the top of the roof-less stadium in indigo, blue and white in the shape of a fan, an auspicious symbol in Japan.
As well as interpretative dances enacting traditional practices from Japanese culture such as woodwork, there was also a sequence with athletes, dressed in white, practising alone across the stadium on exercise equipment including treadmills, rowing machines and stationary bikes with some athletes even working out on imaginary equipment, representing the isolation and challenges represented by the last eighteen months.

Update: Roman Polanski’s French attorney, Hervé Témime, has issued a statement saying that the film director “most firmly contests the accusation of rape” that was raised by Valentine Monnier.
On Friday, Monnier told the French publication Le Parisien that the alleged sexual assault by Polanski was “extremely violent” and that it occurred after a ski run. The alleged incident occured at a chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland in 1975. That nation has a 20-year statute of limitations on rape.
In a letter sent to media, Témime said Polanski “will not participate in the media trial, and me neither.” He added that the allegation stems from “facts that are 45 years old. Never has this accusation been brought to Polanski’s knowledge, and neither to a judicial institution, except for a letter sent to the California prosecutor two years ago, according to Le Parisien.”

A French actress has come forward with new accusations that director Roman Polanski raped her at a Switzerland ski chalet in 1975.
Valentine Monnier, speaking to French newspaper Le Parisien, said she was 18 years old when Polanski allegedly attacked her, ripped off her clothes and raped her following a dinner with friends at the ski chalet. The alleged incident, which Le Parisien corroborated with several people, occurred two years before Polanski’s alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Los Angeles in 1977.

When French writer Philippe Besson was introduced to Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron at a dinner five years ago, it was friendship at first sight. Besson recalls that he and the woman who would become France’s first lady chatted about her favourite literary figure, Emma Bovary.
The choice of Gustave Flaubert’s tragic heroine who is passionate and bored with the banality of provincial life but trapped in a mediocre marriage, was not, Besson thinks, an accident. After all, it is no secret that Brigitte was married with three children and working as a teacher in the provincial northern city of Amiens when she began a relationship with Emmanuel Macron, 24 years her junior.

Paris — Far from a dumping ground, the months of January and February have become synonymous in France with the kinds of highly polished crowd-pleasing comedies that dominate the annual box-office.
This year is no exception, only nestled among the likely blockbusters “Serial Bad Weddings 2” and “City Hunter” is Louis-Julien Petit’s socially minded dramedy “Invisibles.” The story of a group of social workers fighting to keep a woman’s homeless shelter from closing, the film has opened to significant box-office numbers in these early weeks of year, and that’s no accident of timing.
Petit took inspiration from author-filmmaker Claire Lajeunie’s documentary and book about France’s invisible women and built a crowd-pleasing comedy around the subject. Produced by French shingle Elemiah and being sold by Charades, the film mixes well-known comedic stars like Audrey Lamy and Noémie Lvovsky with several non-professional actresses, a number of whom also appeared in the original doc.

Tracey Ullman helped Rupert Murdoch launch the Fox network in 1987 with her sketch comedy series “The Tracey Ullman Show” — which went on to spawn “The Simpsons,” one of the most lucrative franchises in TV history. Now, Ullman has been parodying the relationship between Murdoch and Jerry Hall in her current series, “Tracey Ullman’s Show.”
In the BBC series, which returns in the U.S. on Friday night for a third season on HBO, Ullman plays a wide variety of politicians and celebrities — including Hall. The Murdoch sketches feature Ben Miller as the media mogul opposite Ullman, and the two of them play Murdoch and Hall as giddy and sex-crazed — much to the chagrin of grown children James and Lachlan, who’d rather discuss Disney’s acquisition of Fox’s production assets.
“From the feedback I’ve gotten, they like it, the Murdochs, they think it’s fun,” Ullman said.

The Season 3 premiere of “Tracey Ullman’s Show” at Tribeca TV turned into a major lovefest between two legends on Friday evening in New York. Introduced by Tribeca founder Jane Rosenthal as “Tracey Ullman’s very best dearest friend,” Meryl Streep joined Ullman for a post-screening Q&A that covered not just the breadth of Ullman’s career, but the deep bond between the two actors.
“I met you when I was 32,” Streep said, “and I said to my husband, ‘I think I’ve made a new friend.’ It’s hard to make a new friend when you’re old and famous.”
The pair met when Ullman, then 21, and Streep were cast in the 1985 film “Plenty.” They have remained close since — as evidenced by a natural banter that sometimes slipped into the pair singing together on stage. “We had babies at the same time, shared life experiences,” Ullman said. “People ask me,...

HBO has set a September 28 premiere date for Season 3 of Tracey Ullman’s Show, continuing its long relationship with the sketch series’ star/executive producer.
Over the course of the new season, Tracey Ullman uses her signature brand of sharp satire to shape-shift into a range of public figures and offbeat original characters. She reprises her characterizations of Dame Judi Dench, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Jerry Hall and introduces her takes on British Prime Minister Theresa May, French First Lady Brigitte Macron and U.S. First Lady Melania Trump, among others.
The show is up for the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series Emmy for a second consecutive year.
Season 3 will launch on HBO a week after its premiere at the Tribeca TV Festival. After that September 21, Meryl Streep will interview star/Ep Ullman.
Hard to believe it’s been more than 30 years since Ullman arrived on the U.

Who said being First Lady wouldn't be difficult? According to French First Lady Brigitte Macron, Melania Trump's life is full of restrictions — for example, Donald Trump's wife "cannot do anything." "She can’t even open a window at the White House," Brigitte Macron, 65, told French magazine Le Monde (via The Guardian), following her visit to the White House. "She can’t go outside. She’s much more constrained than I am. I go out every day in Paris." (Photo Credit: Getty Images) According to The Washington Post, Melania, 48, has been living a constrained life for quite some time. Even while she was still living back in New York, Melania was in what The Post called "a virtual shut-in." "Two months after her husband's swearing-in, the nation's new first lady approaches her role with a discernible reticence, her paucity of public appearances — each defined by tight smiles and spare verbiage...

Is Melania Trump trapped in the White House? It must be difficult to be the First Lady of the United States, especialy after her husband President Donald Trump was involved in two very public and back cheating scandals with porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal earlier this year. As if that wasn't terrible enough, Melania's day to day life doesn't sound very exciting. According to French First Lady Brigitte Macron, Melania's life is full of restrictions — for example, the 48-year-old "cannot do anything." America let out a collective cringe on April 24 when a video surfaced of Donald Trump trying, and failing, to hold hands with his wife Melania Trump during a visit with French president Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron. While anyone with eyes could tell that the interaction was awkward, we decided to dig a little deeper by talking exclusively with body language expert Patti Wood, who unpacked what it really means beneath the surface. While Trump often "reaches back to hold her hand, which indicated that he was like a father leading a child," this time was different. "In this case, they're standing side-by-side in what is considered an equitable pairing when he makes the attempt," explained Wood. "When he makes his attempt with just his little finger, it's clear to me he's used to getting a response from that [when they hold hands in private]. He doesn't usually have to try very hard. In...

“Nobody knows what I’m going to do on the 12th!” President Donald Trump boasted with cut-to-commercial drama at today’s presser with France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
The two men took to the White House’s East Room to make statements on, and take questions about, their morning discussions about the Iran nuclear deal, which Trump keeps threatening to tear up on May 12, aka deal’s re-certification deadline, and Macron came to town to talk him out of.
Macron has said he wants to made additions to the deal to shore it up but does not want to tear it up.

When news broke that Rihanna was set to meet with France’s President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the country’s funding of international education, we immediately started imagining her outfit. And of course, the fashion risk-taker didn’t disappoint.
While Rihanna’s been on a skin-baring streak as of late, wearing outfits like this jaw-dropping, cleavage-revealing Giambattista Valli Couture ball gown to the Valerian London premiere, the 29-year-old singer opted for a more conservative, professional look for her political meeting with the President and First Lady of France, and she turned to a French label she loves for the occasion.

Translating Donald Trump Without Looking Like An Idiot Is Tough, Professionals Tell ‘The Daily Show’
While in France to celebrate Bastille Day, the President of the United States attempted to charm the French First Lady, assuring Brigitte Macron her body looks “beautiful,” and telling President Emmanuel Macron, approvingly, “She's in such good physical shape!” Translating this boorish caught-on-camera remark for a French audience must have been challenging, thought The Daily Show’s Desi Lydic, in an insightful segment about the peril of translating Donald…...

Donald Trump didn’t get lucky this Bastille Day — he looked decidedly unenthusiastic as he watched a French marching band blaze through a medley of Daft Punk hits. With a beaming French President Emmanuel Macron seated nearby, Trump grimly endured the sight of French musicians doing robot choreography while reinterpreting electro-dance masterpieces like “Get Lucky” and “One More Time.” White-gloved French dignitaries clapped along enthusiastically, in a scene that at times recalled the Val Kilmer Cold War-Elvis movie parody “Top Secret.” Also Read: Trump to French First Lady Brigitte Macron: 'You're in Such Good Shape' (Video) To his credit,...

Donald Trump is reportedly a man of few friends — and he may have one less than he claims.
The president’s trip to Paris this week has raised questions about the existence of “Jim,” a City-of-Light-loving friend whom Trump referenced repeatedly on the campaign trail and who seemed to serve as a cautionary tale that leaders must be tough on terrorism or risk scaring off tourists.
