The tear-stricken faces peering up adoringly at James Bond producer Michael G. Wilson, seated in the royal box at Royal Albert Hall, during a lengthy standing ovation at “The Sound of 007” concert said it all: It’s not just movie music — the music, for this franchise at least, is the movie.
Tuesday’s charity event at London’s grandest venue preceded the Oct. 5 release of feature documentary “The Sound of 007” on Amazon’s Prime Video, and didn’t hesitate to remind both Bond novices and grizzled veterans that the franchise is virtually synonymous with some of cinema’s most iconic tracks.

The Platinum Party at the Palace officially kicked off Saturday evening at Buckingham Palace with an opening sketch featuring Queen Elizabeth II and Paddington Bear sharing a meal.
“Perhaps you would like a marmalade sandwich? I always keep one for emergencies,” Paddington Bear asks Her Majesty, procuring a sticky treat from his red bucket cap.
“So do I,” the Queen replies, showcasing her own sandwich after reaching into her bag. “I keep mine in here.”
The live-action portion of the event then launched with Adam Lambert and Queen taking the stage to perform for the Buckingham Palace audience, with the crowd thumping the familiar boom-boom-clap of “We Will Rock You.” The number concluded with Brian May emerging at the top of the stage, shredding the song’s ending guitar riff while surrounded by smoke.
The show then immediately moved into renditions of “Don’t Stop Me Now” and “We Are the Champions.

The music industry can oftentimes make you feel worthless, especially if you're a woman. That's why Charli Xcx harnessed her self-proclaimed "pussy power" for a new BBC documentary called The F Word, which aired in the U.K. Tuesday night. It's a 40-minute tour diary that features conversations with dozens of women in music — Marina and the Diamonds, Ryn Weaver, Ella Eyre, and even Jack Antonoff all pop up — that speaks to what it's like being a capital-f feminist while navigating the music business. It's a pretty insightful watch, and you can stream it in full above.

It had to be done, didn't it? The X Factor Top 6 Girls flew to Los Angeles to perform for Rita Ora and special guest mentor Meghan Trainor... but they still had some time for a selfie at the Hollywood sign. Let's just hope their minds were firmly on a place in the live shows:

Who? Market trader Chloe performed 'Crying For No Reason' in her first audition, but it was later on in the competition that she really began to come into her own - with her a capalla take on 'Amazing Grace' cementing her place in the Top 6.
She says: "For me, it's so much more than just the voice. It's all I do, it's all I work on. I was in a relationship that I gave up for this, so I know where I want to be."

Coverage of the Six Nations Championship will be staying on free-to-air television for the next six years at least.
BBC and ITV will share broadcast rights of the international rugby union tournament from 2016, it has been announced.
In order to split the amount of matches equally, BBC will air Wales, Scotland and France's home fixtures, while ITV will play host to England, Ireland and Italy's home ties.
That means that the BBC will air eight matches live in 2016, while ITV will air seven. The figures will be reversed in 2017 and the two broadcasters will alternate every year after.
Reacting to the new deal, BBC's Director of Sport Barbara Slater, said: "It's great news for fans of the Six Nations that the championship will be staying on free-to-air television."
ITV's Niall Sloane added: "We're delighted to be strengthening our ties with the game."

So I definitely ticked one of my life boxes this week by spending some time with the legendary Mr Samuel L Jackson. Big Sam was in town promoting a charity that he's an ambassador for called One For The Boys - a men's cancer charity highlighting the importance of checking yourself.
On Friday, my wife Rochelle and I were invited to see Take That on tour. You know what? You have to hand it to Gary, Mark and Howard, they really know how to put on a show - or should I say a spectacle. Also, you know you have had some serious hits when a show that is over two hours long just flies by. Big shout out to Gary for inviting us down, we absolutely loved it, top man!
Sunday it was of course all about the Vodafone Big Top 40. All eyes once again were on the number one spot.

The Celebrity Juice panelists will compete to be Prime Minister on tonight's General Election special.
Rather than working in two teams, Holly Willoughby, Fearne Cotton, Joey Essex, Emma Willis, Ella Eyre and Chris Ramsey will go head-to-head in a series of typically outrageous challenges.
Dressed to impress, they must play games like 'What's in Ella Eyre's Hair?' and 'What You Talkin' 'Bout, Willis?', as well as taking part in a Mass Debate about the key questions facing Britain.
Finally, 'General Election or General Erection?' will task the six stars with working out whether close up photographs are from the election or from pornography.
Essex will serve as the programme's expert political correspondent, given his new-found knowledge of politics.
Speaking about his time with Britain's politicians, he admitted: "I think they are all geeks, it don't matter what they wear and what they eat. It's like, 'Shut up,...

We're getting down to the wire on The Voice UK tonight, with those teams looking mighty full. With just one week left of blind auditions after tonight, it is seriously tense in those coaches' chairs...
Sure, there was time for them to have a little fun - we're looking at you, the sequence of Sir Tom Jones saying "yeah" repeatedly (which we loved, obviously) - but they also had to get serious. So congratulations are in order for the six acts that made it through tonight - here's what we made of them...
1. Sheena McHugh
Song: 'Hold On, We're Going Home' - Drake
Team: Team Will (all four coaches turned)
Sheena's not exactly had an easy time of it - she lost her voice for six months after a dreadful car accident in which she ruptured her spleen, tore her intestine, broke her back... I mean, wow. As if that wasn't emotional enough,...

Some people are not all that keen on 3D, so it'll be interesting to see what they make of "4Dx".
Cineworld has launched the first such cinema in the UK in Milton Keynes, and stars including Ella Eyre, Jameela Jamil and Russell Kane were in attendance last night (January 29) for a screening of Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Audiences are faced with 15 different 'special effects', such as wind, fog, lightening, bubbles, scents and tech-motion seats.
The technology has been added to over 200 films and can be used with both 2D and 3D-projected movies.
The cinema has 140 seats and a curved 5.8m by 10.5m screen, the auditorium taking five months to build.
Developed in South Korea by the Cj conglomerate, the technology is now running in 150 auditoriums worldwide.
What do you think about 4Dx? Vote in our poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.

Amy Childs has made the unfortunate mistake of confusing Ebola with an up-and-coming band.
The Revolution Will Be Televised presenter Jolyon Rubinstein ambushed the former Towie star on the MOBOs red carpet, asking her: 'Have we done enough to curb the spread of Ebola?'
Amy Childs on Ebola: "They're going to be Huge." #Moboawards #Bbcomgwtf #TheRevolutionWillBeTelevised #Trwbt #Comedy #Celeb #Instadaily #PIckoftheday #isthisreallife

Rubinstein continued: 'You know Ebola's going to be huge, don't you?'
Mistaking them for a band playing at the awards ceremony, Childs said: "I might be a big fan after tonight. I think they're going to be absolutely amazing."
The presenter also flummoxed Ella Eyre by asking if she had a message for the pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.
Amy Childs recently escaped injury after rolling her car onto its roof.

Broadchurch's Olivia Colman, Lorraine Kelly, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Laura Mvula, Ella Eyre and beauty vlogger Tanya Burr have also got involved in this year's campaign.
On losing her make-up for charity, Ellis-Bextor said: "I'm delighted to be joining the 2014 BearFaced campaign alongside so many phenomenal women, from Olivia Colman to BBC Children in Need project workers, the people who are out there, making a difference to young lives.
"It is a campaign that brings women together from across the UK, and is something I am very proud to be a part of. So I am asking for women across the UK to pop to Boots,...

Sweat the Small Stuff is back on BBC Three tonight (October 29), as more celebrities reveal the small things that really bother them in life.
Nick Grimshaw returns to host the comedy panel show, along with team captains Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom, who are joined by guests Jack Osbourne, Alex Brooker, Ivo Graham and Ella Eyre.
Grimshaw brings Eyre close to tears in the show, as he brings out a large orange balloon.
"Look I'm shaking," the singer says. "It's not the balloon, it's the fear of it popping."
Meanwhile, Osbourne takes on hosting duties to quiz the teams over the strange things that have happened to his family.
"There was always one of seven or eight people following the dogs around [at home] picking up poo," the 28-year-old reveals. "My parents basically live in a multi-million dollar squat in Beverly Hills."
