The 42-year-old The Devil Wears Prada actress was seen taking a casual stroll on Monday (April 28) in New York City. There, she adorned an oversized metallic gold jacket from the Christopher John Rogers collaboration with J.Crew, and wore wide leg jeans from Stella McCartney.

Kerry Washington is turning into an action star with her new movie Shadow Force!

The 48-year-old actress stepped out for a screening of her new action film during the 2025 Atlanta Film Festival on Sunday night (April 27) at the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, Ga.

Kerry was honored with the 2025 Ossie Davis Award for Innovation in Filmmaking at the event.

In a recent interview, Kerry talked about making an action movie.

“I just threw myself into it with as much commitment and fearlessness as possible,” she told Eur. “It was really fun to dive into this new world of weapons training and action. People don’t realize the amount of hours it takes just to be able to put a weapon together and take it apart without looking, like it’s second nature.”

About the movie, Kerry said, “It’s a big, splashy action adventure. But it’s really a story about family and love.

Taking place amid the crush of parties surrounding the 2024 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala — with its black-tie Black designer dress code — drew one of the most gorgeously turned out crowds of the entire bash-filled weekend.

At Monday night’s Cfda Awards at the American Museum of Natural History, Thom Browne, the current chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, made the case that fashion has a place even amid times of world crisis.

The 2022 Cfda Fashion Awards kicked off on Monday night, Nov. 7, with a star-studded red-carpet in New York at Cipriani South Street.

The annual event, which recognize excellence in American fashion design, were hosted by Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne. Among the special honorees at the awards show were Lenny Kravitz, who received the Fashion Icon award, Chrome Hearts founders Laurie Lynn and Richard Stark (the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award); Stylist award honoree Law Roach; stylist Patti Wilson (the Media Award) and Kim Kardashian and Emma and Jens Grede (the Amazon Innovation Award.) The late designer Virgil Abloh was honored with the Cfda’s Board of Trustee’s Award.

The evening, sponsored by Amazon Fashion, saw competitive awards given in four categories: American Womenswear Designer of the Year, American Menswear Designer of the Year, American Accessory Designer of the Year, and American Emerging Designer of the Year.

Since Hollywood’s inception, film directors as a general rule have had unremarkable style. It’s the stars who have made an impression on the red carpet, while directors by and large seemed content to dress in line with their classification in the Hollywood eco-system: behind-the-camera talent.

Chinonye Chukwu is quickly making a name for her mastery of emotional, character-driven narratives. The Clemency director’s latest project is the heart-wrenching biopic Till, an account of the 1955 lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Told from the perspective of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley (played by Danielle Deadwyler), the film opened Oct. 14.
