Rihanna is in her soccer mom era and she has made it possible for fans to dress just like her!
The 36-year-old singer and entrepreneur attended a press conference to announce her new Fenty x Puma Avanti sneakers on Wednesday (October 23) in Los Angeles.
Rihanna only accepted questions from kids instead of having a crowd of traditional press.
While Rihanna was dressed in a Christopher John Rogers dress that retails for $1,495, her shoes are from her brand and are a lot more affordable at $150.
You can order the Avanti sneakers right now on Puma.com. The sneakers come in red or white.
“I was very selfish with the colors. I wanted to make sneakers in colors that I wanted to wear and I wanted to see my kids wear. A red sneaker is something you can throw on no matter what. Super beat up with any outfit or any colorway,” she said.

Perhaps the biggest change to Vice President Kamala Harris’ wardrobe since she announced her presidential run July 21 is her shoes. Once-omnipresent, her Converse Chuck Taylors have mostly taken a back seat to chic Manolo Blahnik pumps as she strides across an airport tarmac or steps onto a rally stage.
Harris’ Chucks undeniably exude a cool-girl vibe — and the veep’s fans have noticed, as Retail Brew reports that the sneaker brand and style enjoyed a 4,500% increase in online interest between July and early August — but a polished pump is decidedly more presidential. Her devotion to what works for her in a sartorial sense likewise is true of the tailored suits that have long been Harris’ signature, according to L.A.-based designer Sergio Hudson. “As a lawyer and later an attorney general, that was her look,” says Hudson. “It’s crisp, it’s professional, and she’s comfortable in something...

Held for the first time in L.A. and hosted by Robin Thede, the gala raised money for the nonprofit equity organization Fifteen Percent Pledge, founded by Brother Vellies designer Aurora James, which asks retailers to devote 15 percent of shelf space to products from Black-owned brands.
First Lady Jill Biden, wearing designer Sergio Hudson, made a surprise appearance at the event, held on the lot at Paramount Studios. She touted the achievements her husband’s administration has made to help small and minority-owned businesses (including doubling the amount of loans given by the government to small Black-owned companies) and praised James for founding the Fifteen Percent Pledge in the wake...

At Monday night’s Cfda Awards at the American Museum of Natural History, Thom Browne, the current chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, made the case that fashion has a place even amid times of world crisis.
In a powerful speech that kicked off the evening, Browne noted that Cfda members “thought carefully about the appropriateness of a fashion celebration in a time like this. But tonight is about so much more than celebrating individuals,” he said. “We’re coming together as a collective to champion creativity, diversity and inclusion in our American industry.”
Thom Browne attends the 2023 Cfda Fashion Awards on Nov. 6, 2023.
That sentiment was reflected on the pre-event carpet as well, that an industry which exceeds $350 billion in global impact annually could create a moment of solidarity as they honor both established and emerging designers. “This event in particular gives a lot of exposure to young designers,...

One only has to go as far as the trailers to realize the sheer scope of work for Costume Designer Avery Plewes in Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet’s Scream VI. And that’s only for one extended, thrilling sequence.
Bloody Disgusting spoke with Plewes about her work on the film, including designing for legacy characters like Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and the surprising ways she paid tribute to Wes Craven. For starters, Plewes deferred to the expert regarding Gale’s look in this sequel.

Since Hollywood’s inception, film directors as a general rule have had unremarkable style. It’s the stars who have made an impression on the red carpet, while directors by and large seemed content to dress in line with their classification in the Hollywood eco-system: behind-the-camera talent.
That began to go by the wayside as directors such as Spike Lee, Sofia Coppola, Spike Jonze and Wes Anderson became known for their personal style.
In 2020, THR reported on a number of directors who were making waves on the red carpet — including Taika Waititi, Greta Gerwig, Lulu Wang, Barry Jenkins and Bong Joon Ho — with some hiring stylists who normally dress actors.

Chinonye Chukwu is quickly making a name for her mastery of emotional, character-driven narratives. The Clemency director’s latest project is the heart-wrenching biopic Till, an account of the 1955 lynching of 14-year-old Emmett Till. Told from the perspective of his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley (played by Danielle Deadwyler), the film opened Oct. 14.

The eight designers remaining in the competition going into this episode were Coral Castillo, Prajje Oscar Jean-Baptiste, Bones Jones, Kristina Kharlashkina, Shantall Lacayo, Chasity Sereal, Aaron Michael Steach, and Anna Zhou.

If there was any doubt about the excitement about a post-pandemic re-emergence and the return of the Emmys to a live, in-person show, look no further than Sunday’s red carpet and its joyful riot of color. With a limited guest list and a full vaccination mandate in place, attendees stepped out in every shade of the rainbow— and with nary a mask in sight.
From Kenan Thompson’s candy-floss pink suit and matching bow tie to Seth Rogen’s orange blazer, the menswear represented some of the most adventurous choices at the show. Velvet tuxes also had a moment, with Bo Burnham in a navy look, and Jason Sudeikis wearing a teal Tom Ford number. Ditching his signature hat, host Cedric the Entertainer also stood out in a bright turquoise suit designed by stylist Jason Rembert. Chris Sullivan was a scene-stealer in a custom tiger-print suit by Courtney Mays,...

Michaela Coel just destroyed her first Emmy Awards red carpet. The actress and writer did not come to play in a neon green lewk from Christopher John Rogers on Sunday, Sept. 19. Christopher called her "My personal Icon" as he dressed her in a Sulphur bralette and column skirt with a draped silk bow. "He smashed it," Michaela told Karamo on E! Live from the Red Carpet, explaining that she "fell in love" with the sketch. "It's incredible," Michaela gushed of the final look, completed with a bow and train and matching highlighter pumps. The costume design in “Gossip Girl” has pieced together an iconic generation of fashion, with the Manhattan private-school students oozing privilege and extravagance with their signature headbands, tea-length shimmery gowns, piped blazers and plaid, school uniforms. And now, over a decade after the show’s inception, when social media is intertwining more and more with everyday life, costume designer Eric Daman — who worked on both the original show and this year’s reboot — was given the opportunity to create all new looks for HBO Max’s “Gossip Girl” through a Gen Z lens.
“I feel like I have a very fresh point of view about it,” Daman said to TheWrap. “I was just able to leave the past behind, look at this as a whole new beginning and a whole new storyline with all new characters and have a very fresh, open-minded point of view about it. As far as inspiration,...

Audrey’s mom doesn’t pay attention to her; Julien’s ex-boyfriend is crushing on her half-sister; Monet is on the brink of inciting a social media-driven riot to reinstate private school’s hierarchy. And, in classic “Gossip Girl” fashion, the Manhattan socialites are sipping martinis and looking fabulous amidst the chaos.
Aside from the drama, the stars of this week’s episode are the lavish gowns the girls wear to “Black Tie for School Supplies,” a fundraising party that looks more like a Windsor-worthy ball than a PTA-planned event. And as much as the elitist group would like their wardrobes to be exclusively off-limits, three of the best dresses from Thursday’s...

Vice President Kamala Harris won accolades for her fashion at the inauguration on Wednesday — but did “The Simpsons” once again predict her choice of attire?
For her swearing in as the nation’s first female vice president (and first Black and Indian American as well), Harris wore a purple dress and coat by the award-winning young Black designer Christopher John Rogers (along with shoes by Sergio Hudson).
She also wore a custom pearl necklace by Puerto Rican designer Wilfredo Rosado, according to Women’s Wear Daily — a look that recalls the signature pearl necklace worn by elementary-school overachiever Lisa Simpson in Fox’s long-running animated sitcom. The necklace Harris wore was a nod to her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, whose members receive badges adorned with pearls.
In addition, a classic 2000 episode of “The Simpsons” imagined a future in which an all-grown-up Lisa Simpson was elected president of the U.S. and...

The usual red carpet at the 72nd Emmy Awards is very different, but stars are still putting their best fits forward for this year’s virtual event, whether they are dressed up or down.

No Problem,” Jamil wrote in an Instagram post featuring the outfit. “Wearing Pj’s to the 72nd Emmy awards (from my house) is my kind of vibes.” Jamil plays Tahani Al-Jamil on NBC’s “The Good Place,” which is up for seven awards tonight.

Already anointed a style icon by W magazine for “exploring uncharted territory in men’s fashion” and “redefining masculine expression,” Lil Nas X counted year-end best-dressed lists among his 2019 streaming and airplay accolades. Describing his fashion sense as “very experimental,” the rapper runs down a few of his top looks from last year.

“Definitely Prince-inspired — I wanted to bring that into the future and do a remix,” Nas says of the lace shirt he paired with a rhinestone-studded Nudie Suit and matching metallic cowboy boots. “I put it together with [womenswear designer] Christian Cowan and my amazing stylist Hodo Musa, who does 100% of my looks.”
Says Musa: “We’re not snobs. It’s not about the biggest designers — we want to work with up-and-coming talent, the underdogs who aren’t getting the recognition they deserve.”
