The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

The recent negative review episode that transpired with Helldivers 2 is a testament to how things can go down the drain with just one mistake. That’s why developers can’t afford to make them. However, now that it has happened, the team behind the popular game will seemingly do anything in their power to reverse the effect.
Beginning with an apology, the head developer said they’ll keep providing a great game experience to regain the community’s trust. While all are busy making plans to deal with the situation at Arrowhead, it has taken a toll on CEO too. However, he appears to be tackling it well for now.

All hell has broken lose on Super-Earth ever since Sony announced how Helldivers 2 players on PC would need to connect a PlayStation Network Account if they wished to continue enjoying the game. Being implemented from May 6th, every new player that dares to join will be forced to connect the said account to their Steam client, making the game face a huge backlash from the community.
Arrowhead Studios has been under fire ever since the recent Psn move was announced
In times of need, fans of a game tend to look to the developers for help, but it would now be an awkward conversation with Arrowhead Studios, since one of the community managers, Twinbeard, has admitted that the decision was not even theirs to begin with.

Multiple Grammy Award-winning producer/artist Kanye West has already established himself as one of the premier artists in the recording industry, but put away the microphone, bling and neon, and you’ll find a crusader against poverty, hunger and poor education.
In 2005, West and his late mother, Dr. Donda West, co-founded the Dr. Donda West Foundation with the goal of reducing the number of kids who drop out of school. The Foundation’s first initiative, Loop Dreams, challenged at-risk students to learn how to write and produce music while simultaneously improving their academic skills.
“During my high school years, it’s the music that I really felt saved me,” said West, “It kept me out of the streets, it kept me from getting into trouble, it gave me something to do when I got kicked off the basketball team. You just get lost in the music. That’s what I did.

So we saw the 1st project of the Las Vegas Sphere, which is ‘Postcard from Earth’ directed and filmed by Darren Aronofsky on the Big Sky huge format 316MP18K camera. Defining it as an ‘IMAX on steroids’ would be an understatement.
Behind the scenes of Postcard from Earth. The Big Sky camera Sphere=IMAX on steroids
As fans of the huge canvas (=IMAX!), one of the first things we did when staying in Vegas was to go see the Sphere. YMCinema was among the first that write about this very special medium. Before waiting for a movie on it, we defined it as IMAX on steroids. However, after watching Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth, we can conclude that this definition is an understatement of this whole insane experience. The Sphere is not just a giant screen, but much more than that. Proportionally, it’s X20 the size of the largest IMAX.

The Invincible animated series recently wrapped up its second season, which continues to explore the conflict between Mark Gryason and the Viltrum Empire. The second season, similar to the comics, expands upon Omni-Man’s prophecy for his son, which predicts he will outlive most of his friends and family.
Omni-Man fights Mark Grayson in Invincible
However, in the comics, this prophecy is proven wrong by Mark’s love interest, Atom Eve. In the final issue of the comics, Atom Eve finally unlocks her true superpower, which had been hidden until this point. Her new superpower not only proves why she is considered one of the strongest beings in the universe, but also dismisses Omni-Man’s prophecy, and here is how.
How Atom Eve’s Secret Superpower Proves Omni-Man’s Prophecy Wrong

“Somewhere, deep within the deep vastness of outer space, an incredible figure hurtles thru the cosmos, a being whom we shall call the Silver Surfer, for want of a better name!” That typically verbose bit of narration by Stan Lee comes from Fantastic Four #48, in which it accompanied the powerful imagery of Jack Kirby in his prime.
Since that moment, the Silver Surfer has become a major part of the Marvel Universe, appearing not only in countless comics but also in many film and television adaptations. The upcoming Fantastic Four MCU movie promises to continue the tradition, and director Matt Shakman has announced that the character has been cast. However, it’s not comicdom’s original Silver Surfer, Norrin Radd, whom actor Julia Garner (Ozark) will be portraying. Rather it’s Shalla-Bal.

Victoria Monet is done bringing her daughter to red carpet events for now.

Keep reading to find out more…“The last carpet was a disaster, so I think we’re gonna give it a couple years,” Victoria told Entertainment Tonight.

In a twist of fate that can only be described as ‘life imitated art,’ Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko’s Avatar: The Last Airbender nearly met its demise after Season 2. The makers of the show battled against all odds to keep their creation alive, just as Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph faced seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Fans of Nickelodeon’s beloved animated series have grown to love it since the show’s final episode aired more than ten years ago (2008). During the course of its three seasons, the show gained recognition for its intricate plot and weighty themes, all the while maintaining an enjoyable and intriguing viewing experience.
Princess Yue in Avatar: The Last Airbender
Inconceivably, though, the show was briefly canceled between seasons two and three, which would have left the finale of the series on a terrible cliffhanger.

In recent years, Netflix has picked up something of a reputation for cancelling shows in their early stages. In recent years, their live-action Cowboy Bebop, Mike Flanagan spook-fest The Midnight Club, and ghost-busting YA drama Lockwood & Co are among those shows to have been cut down after a single season. But the streamer is keen – possibly keener than ever, in a week that’s seen The Brothers Sun confirmed for the Netflix scrap pile – to stress to Avatar: The Last Airbender fans that their live-action take on the Nickelodeon show isn’t going anywhere. Season 1 has evidently been a hit – and so Season 2 and Season 3 will both be in the works.
As revealed on social media, there’ll be more from Aang and friends down the line – with a poster teasing Earth and Fire emblems for Seasons 2 and 3, respectively. The plan seems to be that Season 3 will mark the final run of the show,...

It’s that time of year again, when Barack Obama annually shares his favorite movies, books and music.
“As I usually do during this time of year, I wanted to share my favorite books, movies, and music of 2023,” the former president wrote on social media, asking his followers to comment with their favorites, as well.
In his typical fashion, Obama shared separate posts for each medium, starting with listing his picks for the year’s best books, including The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store (James McBride), The Maniac (Benjamin Labatut), Poverty, by America (Matthew Desmond), How to Say Babylon (Safiya Sinclair), The Wager (David Grann), Chip War (Chris Miller) and The Vaster Wilds (Lauren Groff).
His other top picks were Humanly Possible (Sarah Bakewell), King: A Life (Jonathan Eig), The Covenant of Water (Abraham Verghese), The Best Minds (Jonathan Rosen), All the Sinners Bleed (S.A. Cosby), The Kingdom, the Power,...

Of course Sza’s Sos was the album I played the most in 2023 — but remember, it came out in December 2022 and I ranked it second on last year’s list of top albums, obviously under Beyoncé’s Renaissance.
Though Sza owned the year, several great albums showed up in 2023. Here are the projects that lived rent free in my home and in my headphones.
1. Victoria Monét, Jaguar II
It’s a beautiful thing when someone working to help others achieve their dreams steps into the limelight. With Jaguar II, that’s Victoria Monét. The songwriter behind hits for Ariana Grande and others has been releasing incredible music for years — check out 2018’s Life After Love, Pt. 2 and 2020’s Jaguar if you’re just arriving at her fan club — but she’s finally at the forefront, and her major label debut album is a masterpiece. She’s bold and bombastic on “On My Mama,...

Mathew Knowles, the prolific music manager and father to artists Beyoncé and Solange, is ready to take his life story to the screen.
Knowles has partnered with production company Say Unkel Entertainment to adapt his 2017 memoir “Racism From the Eyes of a Child” into both a feature film and a limited series, Variety can report exclusively.
The film will cover the first half of his book and recount Knowles’ early years growing up at the epicenter of the race riots in early ‘60’s Alabama. He was one of six black students to attend an all-white school and participated in peaceful protests where he was burned with a cattle-prod and, on one occasion, arrested four times in one day.
His early struggles have been referenced and documented in numerous works by daughter Beyoncé, including the watershed music video “Formation” and in her various documentary films – most recently in the theatrical release “Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce.

“She’s like, kind of panicking because she doesn’t know why we’re all screaming,” Victoria shared. “I know I’ll be able to explain it to her when she gets older, and she’ll definitely appreciate it because she’s already into music and is starting to write songs unknowingly.

Do you see her? The Black mother wiping her son’s inner eye on a Harlem corner? It’s the late ’90s and she’s piecing her life back together after a prison stint. What about the mother positioning an infant for a photo? She works at a studio, tucked in a Bay Area mall, trying to make ends meet before the birth of her third child. Or the Black mother lounging in her living room during a party? Guests, drunk on liquor and a good time, buzz around her as a young girl plays at her feet.
These women are the central figures of three revelatory dramas released this year. In A.V. Rockwell’s A Thousand and One, Savanah Leaf’s Earth Mama and Raven Jackson’s All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt, which opens in limited release Nov. 3, Black mothers assume more complex roles than the ones Hollywood usually affords them.

Osamu Tezuka's "Astro Boy" birthed manga, and in turn, anime, as we know these mediums today. Manga author Naoki Urasawa has said that the "Astro Boy" arc "The Greatest Robot on Earth" was the first comic he ever read. Enter "Pluto," Urasawa's reimagining of that story, now adapted itself into an anime mini-series distributed by Netflix.
I'm only tangentially familiar with Tezuka's original manga, essentially a sci-fi "Pinocchio." In a futuristic world where robots are commonplace, young Tobio Tenma dies in a car crash. So, his scientist father creates a robotic replicant of his son. The result is the android superhero Astro Boy. "Pluto" fills in the basics of this backstory but doesn't dwell on them, for "Atom" is just one player in a larger story.
Across the world, someone is killing both the most advanced robots and the human scientists who built or advocated for them. At the...

When I reviewed the original Marvel: Crisis Protocol back at the start of 2020, I had no idea what would be coming later that year – several lockdowns later and I’d had so much time at home playing Marvel: Crisis Protocol either on my own or with my wife and eldest child that I truly felt I could have taken on anyone in the world at the debut miniatures game from Atomic Mass Games. Now, some three and a half years later, Atomic Mass Games are back to market with a brand new core set – known as Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Earth’s Mightiest Core Set.
With its new sculpts, updated graphic design and new, higher Rrp, this brand new set fits the classic definition of a mid-life reboot, but unlike some of the re-releases, reboots and rehashes that we see around this time in the lifetime of many products, Marvel: Crisis...

These unflinching documentaries, indie thrillers and anime fables can help us to understand the climate emergency, and how to respond
We are rapidly becoming the all-star cast of the biggest disaster movie of all time, and tragically it’s a global success. Towering infernos blaze over Canada, the Canaries and Rhodes, Bangladesh, China and even northern England have had their own devastating Poseidon adventures while the whole world continues to reel in the socioeconomic chaos of the Covid contagion and in fear of an H1N1 outbreak. Only the dramatic effects are no longer computer-generated, they are real, and people are really dying.

Good Omens season two is a story of friendship and love and, to quote Terry Pratchett’s Moving Pictures, “Passione in a Worlde Gone Madde!” Gorgeous-looking, perfectly cast, and full of joy, it’s like a warm hug and a mug of hot chocolate… with a little macabre horror and sketch show comedy bobbing beneath the surface.
Good Omens season one was based on a standalone novel written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, which meant that it was a complete story. That’s why most of its characters and plotlines – Adam and pals, Agnes Nutter, Anathema and the Four Motorcycle Riders of the Apocalypse – don’t appear in season two.
But more than any of those, Good Omens season one was the story of the friendship between the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale. They’re the true protagonists of the book, and indisputably the stars of the TV show,...

Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, has revealed he will be putting out a compilation of music from his FX series Dave that will double as his first new album in eight years. In an interview with Variety, the actor and rapper said he hopes to put the project out by the end of this summer.
Burd said he thinks the body of work is “such a better representation of Lil Dicky” than his first album, and is currently working with producer (and frequent Dave guest star) Benny Blanco to finish “bits and pieces of songs” scattered throughout the first three seasons of the show.
“Sometimes you’ll hear 20 seconds of [a track], but I might have a full three minute version of that song that’s unreleased. I want to get that out to the world,” Burd explained, adding that he plans on including between 15 and 20 tracks on the album. “I was...

One of the smartest things that the producers of the Grant Gustin-led The Flash on The CW did was bring on Og Flash John Wesley Shipp, who played the Scarlet Speedster in the 1990-91 series on CBS. Shipp, a two-time Daytime Emmy-winner for his roles on As the World Turns and Santa Barbara, was tapped to not only play Barry’s dad Henry Allen but later, Jay Garrick (the Flash of Earth-3) and also his Barry Allen (from Earth-90). TV Insider sat down with Shipp to get his thoughts on what it meant to him both professionally and personally to play such integral roles on the revived series, which came to an end last month after nine seasons. What was his favorite Barry/Henry scenes? Read on to get the scoop! What did you think of The Flash series finale? John Wesley Shipp: I really appreciated the...

This post contains light spoilers for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Among the many pleasures of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was its celebration of all things Spider-Man. The 2018 film filled the screen with webheads, letting audiences delight in all of the variations of people and creatures who can do anything a spider can. Into the Spider-Verse made fast fans of Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy aka Ghost Spider and Nicolas Cage‘s tough-talking Spider-Man Noir. Across the Spider-Verse continues this tradition with Oscar Isaac as conflicted antagonist Spider-Man 2099, but the real breakout is the movie’s loudest, rudest character: Spider-Punk.
Voiced by Daniel Kaluuya (in an accent closer to his native English), Spider-Punk is Hobie Brown, the Spider-Man of Earth-138. Draped in the trash aesthetic of 70s UK punk, Hobie battles against oppression with a commitment to anarchy and disruption. Spider-Verse directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers,...

Even if you know going in that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’s story will conclude in a later movie, it’s still frustrating when those end credits roll. When we leave Miles Morales at the end of the film, he has discovered that he was never supposed to be a Spidey. He’s an outlier in the grand Marvel multiverse, having been bitten by a radioactive spider from another universe. As a result, that universe (Earth-42) went on to have no Spider-Man at all, and its own Miles turned into The Prowler, perhaps due to his close relationship with Uncle Aaron.
As Spider-Man 2099 aka Miguel O’Hara and his Spider Society hunt Miles down to make sure he doesn’t disrupt any more canon events, Gwen Stacy puts together a team to back Miles up that includes some of his old pals,...

The two primary features of James Gunn's multiple "Guardians of the Galaxy" projects are their quirkiness and their unabashed sentimentality. To assure the former, Gunn made his title team a group of weirdo outsiders who are all possessed of a playfully semi-ignorant, devil-may-care attitude that communicated a flip irreverence toward the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a series usually bogged down by overtly earnest mythmaking. On the other side of things, the outsider characters were, over the course of their multiple appearances, careful to tell each other about their respective trauma and issues with abusive fathers. The Guardians, then, didn't merely come together as a team, but emerged as a found family, holding each other for mutual warmth.
The Guardians movies, sadly, don't always strike a great balance between their flippant tone and their emotional leanings. The Guardians, as part of their job, kill enemy soldiers by the score and then...

This post contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Who is Adam Warlock? Questions like that are common among MCU fans who haven’t read any comics featuring him! Since the universe launched in 2008 with Iron Man, the MCU has been bringing oddballs like Volstagg the Voluminous and Modok to the big screen, giving long-time comic book readers ample opportunity to dump out their years of accumulated knowledge, and no series has indulged in the oddities of the Marvel Universe like Guardians of the Galaxy, which made household names out of Z-listers Drax the Destroyer and Groot.
With Adam Warlock, things are even more complicated. Not only has the character had different names and very different motivations, and not only does he have a fairly convoluted back story, but his prominent stories have involved Thanos and the Infinity Stones, things that are no longer going concerns in the MCU.

The trailers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have included everything you’d expect from a James Gunn movie, including unlikely but perfectly-chosen rock songs and plenty of antagonistic banter between its heroes. But all of the Guardians 3 trailers have included another, perhaps troubling, aspect: a dour tone. It’s not just that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) is still recovering from the death of his beloved Gamora (Zoe Saldana), who has returned as a younger and decidedly more impatient person. It’s also that this is the final go-around for Gunn and this version of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Now, longtime superhero fans will tell you that death means nothing to superheroes. All of the Guardians have died in the comics at one time or another, and they’ve all come back to life. But things...

The Beatles‘ recreational weed use is well-documented in their interviews, songs, and even on film (Help!). The band began to use marijuana in 1965 regularly. However, the band’s pot use became just another tool in their arsenal that unleashed their creativity. Here are three of The Beatles’ most popular songs which reference marijuana.

The Beatles wrote “She’s A Woman” for the LP Beatles 65. The song’s lines state, “Turns me on when I get lonely.” It refers to a woman introducing the singer to smoking pot.

Deadline’s Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament took a hiatus during the pandemic as movie theaters closed for the majority of 2020-2021 and theatrical day-and-date titles on both the big screen and studios’ respective streaming platforms became more prevalent. Coming back from that brink, the studios have largely returned to their theatrical release models and the downstream monies they can bring. Not to mention their power in launching IPs around the world with big global marketing campaigns. When it comes to evaluating the financial performance of top movies, it isn’t about what a film grosses at the box office. The true tale is told when production budgets, P&a, talent participations and other costs collide with box office grosses, and ancillary revenues from VOD to DVD and TV. To get close to that mysterious end of the equation, Deadline is repeating our Most Valuable Blockbuster tournament for 2022, using data culled by seasoned and trusted sources.

As Netflix continues to lean into the realm of adult animated comedies, the streaming platform is proud to announce the voice cast for Mulligan, an upcoming series from the team behind Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. The order for 20 episodes of Mulligan gained approval from Netflix in March 2020, shortly after the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. The concept is from co-creators Robert Carlock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt writer and executive producer Sam Means.
Per Netflix’s official logline, “After Earth is destroyed by an alien attack, a rag-tag band of survivors has to start society over from scratch. It’s an opportunity to learn from humanity’s past mistakes and get things right this time. Or make the same mistakes all over again. Probably the second one.”
Series regulars include Nat Faxon, Chrissy Teigen, Tina Fey, Sam Richardson, Phil Lamarr, and Dana Carvey. Meanwhile, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ayo Edebiri, Daniel Radcliffe, and...

When the Msg Sphere opens this fall in Las Vegas, content will include an immersive production dubbed Postcard From Earth, which, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal, is set to be directed by The Whale helmer Darren Aronofsky.
Madison Square Garden Entertainment didn’t confirm the participation of Aronofsky, whose film The Whale won an Oscar last month for best actor Brendan Fraser, but has said that it would work with Hollywood directors to create content for its massive sphere-shaped entertainment venue, set to open this fall with a series of concerts from U2.
Plans also call for hour-long programs dubbed Sphere Experiences, such as Postcard From Earth, to run multiple times a day at the venue. "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" is one of the greatest animated films of all time, and one of the best superhero films of all time, with a fantastic story that mixes thrills with heart, introducing several heroes and making sure each felt alive, while also providing some gorgeous animated spectacle. Of course, anticipations for the sequel are nothing if not sky-high.
So far, however, "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" seems to be doing all the right things, and promising to do everything people liked about the first one, while also doing something new. We know there will be six distinct art styles featured in the film, and the animation in the new trailer looks simply stunning, but there is also the introduction of dozens of new Spider-People, including Jessica Drew and Spider-Punk. Plus, the trailer makes it clear we are about to get lots of deep Marvel cuts, and even some actual creator credits.

What happens if Nature is forced upon us? Would we like it? We have to admit that no matter how much we discover about Nature, it always feels like there’s more than what our senses can perceive. There is this conjuring harmony that we can only try to feel and admire in awe; sometimes, we run towards it, and sometimes we run away from it. “In the Earth” takes this premise to a whole new level and, in that endeavor, attempts to maintain a certain bleakness that comes with the cause. What’s striking is how awareness regarding a pandemic (a potential end-of-times event if we see it through the film’s perspective) makes “In the Earth” less bleak as we realize how close to reality it is and can be. Here’s more on it:

Royal author Tom Quinn believes there’s “definitely a parallel” between Princess Anne and Princess Charlotte. “Younger generation” of royals may see Princess Charlotte and Prince George in a “similar” sibling dynamic to King Charles and Princess Anne. Princess Charlotte, like Princess Anne, is expected to be “really good” support for her older brother. Princess Charlotte | Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images
Royal history might repeat itself with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. According to a royal author, Prince William and Kate Middleton’s two oldest children may end up having a bond not unlike their grandfather, King Charles III, and his sister, Princess Anne. So much so that Charlotte is being likened to the Princess Royal.

While deflecting incoming attacks is one of Wo Long‘s marquee features, magic is a pretty important part of the game. From buff effects to direct damage abilities, you’re going to use at least some of the game’s Wizardry Spells regardless of what kind of character you build.
Which magic you end up relying on most will depend on your playstyle and situation, but here are some of the most powerful Wizardry Spells in the game.
Lightning Weapon, Flame Weapon, Stone Weapon, Toxin Weapon, Ice Weapon
Every Wizardry Spell tree in Wo Long offers one ability that grants your weapon some form of elemental damage. You’re going to want to pick up at least one of those abilities. Exactly which one you use will kind of depend on your preferred build and the situation, but they’re some of the most valuable spells in the game for melee players.
