Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 11, Episode 13 of “The Masked Singer,” “Finale: One Mask Takes It All,” which aired May 22 on Fox.
“The Masked Singer” winner Vanessa Hudgens admits she didn’t necessarily play the hiding game: At least among her friends and fans, they figured out it was her under the Goldfish costume rather quickly.
“Rita [Ora] guessed it was me straight from the jump,” Hudgens said. “But she’s also my friend. And we saw each other a few days before the first episode!”
Hudgens beat out Scott Porter, who had performed this season as Gumball, to win the “Masked Singer” trophy. Coincidentally, both Hudgens and Porter previously starred together in 2009’s “Bandslam.”
Despite their history, Hudgens said the production kept her completely in the dark as to who her competitors were. “I was so invested every step of the way,” she said. “I was trying really hard to...

For years, it was mere off-hand remarks heard across certain corners of the music and fashion industries — specifically, the hip-hop and sportswear spaces where Sean “Diddy” Combs (née Puff Daddy, née P. Diddy) emerged in the mid-’90s and, for a while, seemed to own. The rumors of his excesses and tactics would bubble to the surface in a tweet or radio show revelation, but what seemed implausible about such a high-profile player has now materialized into headline-making allegations involving sex trafficking of minors, sexual misconduct, forced druggings and compromising footage of celebrities held as blackmail.
Since November, there have been five lawsuits leveled against the rapper-turned-mogul who is now at the center of a federal investigation. One bombshell lawsuit that will, at bare minimum, mangle Diddy’s career, came from a young man who was welcomed into his inner circle and, according to that producer, exited the mogul’s...

T-Pain says he plans to continue to write country music songs as a ghostwriter.
The singer-songwriter-producer recently made headlines when he revealed that he stopped taking credit for the country songs he’s worked on because of the “racism” he dealt with in the genre.
“I wrote a lot of country songs, and the country songs that I get credit on — I wouldn’t say backlash or anything like that — but [there] was a lot of criticism of, ‘Why did they let a Black person be a part of this?’ or things like that. It was just a lot of that stuff. So I kind of just backed off from putting my name on things and just collect the money,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I don’t need to be known for any of that. That’s fine.”
“I’m a ghostwriter [and] it’s just easier,” he continues. “Why not?...

Ozzy Osbourne has revealed that he refused to let Kanye West sample a live version of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” because the rapper is “an antisemite and has caused untold heartache to many.” However, that apparently didn’t stop West from featuring the sample at his album listening party on Thursday night (February 8th).
West held a listening party in Chicago for his joint album Vultures, Volume 1, with Ty Dolla $ign. Apparently, Osbourne caught wind that the rapper went ahead and played a track that sampled his live performance of “Iron Man”” from his concert at the US Festival in 1983.

David later returned for a different Today segment and apologized to Elmo, who quickly accepted the sentiment. But looks like it was not that sincere,...

Google DeepMind is developing AI-driven tools that can make life easier for creators across the globe, but the development of those tools has been wrapped up in controversy. A Billboard report discussed the tense music industry relations that have stemmed from Google’s decision to train its AI on major-label recordings before receiving permission from rights holders.
Last November, YouTube announced Dream Track, its first publicly-available AI feature related to music. Dream Track uses Google DeepMind’s Lyria to pair creators’ video ideas with original soundtracks that use AI-generated replicas of pop star voices. Musicians who participated in the Dream Track test included Demi Lovato, Troye Sivan, and T-Pain.
“One of YouTube’s greatest strengths is our strong relationships with music industry partners,” reads a YouTube blog post published at the time. “We’re committed to collaborating with them as we enter this new era, critically exploring together new opportunities...

The voice is unmistakable. As the video of a woman wading into the ocean during sunset played, a melodic tune was overlaid: “I woke up, woke up, woke up in a sunshine stattte, that’s livin’ up to me.”
The voice was clearly that of T-Pain, including his signature Auto-Tune eccentricities. The catch? The lyrics — and T-Pain’s singing voice itself — were created by generative artificial intelligence tech called “Dream Track” from YouTube. The AI wrote the song and re-created T-Pain’s voice so that a user could include it as a personal soundtrack to a video. YouTube also has signed John Legend, Demi Lovato and Charlie Puth, among others, for its Dream Track tech.
