Hallmark Channel is taking viewers on a trip to the City of Light. A Paris Proposal stars Alexa PenaVega and Nicholas Bishop star as co-workers on a business trip to France, where they go to extreme lengths to land a prestigious client. Filming for the new movie, which premieres Feb. 11, took place partially in Paris, an experience PenaVega called “amazing.”
What is ‘A Paris Proposal’ about?
Hallmark’s “Loveuary” programming event continues this weekend with A Paris Proposal. PenaVega plays a woman named Anna, who is an account manager at an NYC advertising agency. Her boss gives her the chance to land the biggest client of her career: the Paris-based Durand Diamonds. But there’s a catch. Her colleague Sebastian (Bishop) will be coming with her to make the pitch.
Anna has a by-the-books, stick-to-the-budget working style that doesn’t mesh well with Sebastian’s more loose and ambitious approach.

For Hallmark's A Paris Proposal, Alexa PenaVega returned to the city of lights to film for the first time since she starred in Spy Kids 3.
The movie isn't filmed in its entirety in Paris, but just enough to lend it the authentic flavor necessary to bring it to life.
Alexa stars as Anna, an advertising executive who travels to Paris with her coworker Sebastian (Nicholas Bishop) to land an important account.
When the client, who owns the famed Durant Diamonds, mistakenly believes they are a happy couple, Anna and Sebastian believe they have no choice but to go along with it to make the deal.
Alexa was thrilled to return to Paris. "It's amazing. Paris is such a special place. The last time I was there, I was so much younger, and I didn't really get to appreciate it the way you do when you go back as an adult.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover is a 2022 drama movie directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre starring Emma Corrin and Jack O’Connell. Another adaptation of the novel written by D.H. Lawrence.
The erotic awakening of a dissatisfied woman, in this well-known story that has been adapted with exquisite photographic flair.
Premise
Lady Chatterley, disenchanted in her marriage, despite leading a life of wealth and privilege, gets involved in a torrid affair with a gamekeeper on their English estate. The passion she discovers and level of intimacy is beyond what she ever imagined.
Lady Chatterley’s Lover (2022) Movie Review
The provocative story by D.H. Lawrence that gave so much to talk about and became a revelation in its era. Beyond the literary analysis – and keeping in mind that it is not the first erotic novel in history (to be read the irony), it did have substance and was wonderfully written.

In 1980, the auspiciously named first baseman Willie Mays Aikens made baseball history when he hit two home runs in two World Series games, a feat that wasn’t repeated until 2009. That year, the Kansas City Royals player was second in home runs and RBIs only to teammate, friend and future Hall of Famer, George Brett.
Directed by Marcel Sarmiento, “The Royal” isn’t obsessed with Aikens’ on-the-field triumphs. Instead — with a script by Gregory W. Jordan, based on the 2012 book he co-wrote with Aiken, “Willie Mays Aikens: Safe at Home” — the movie recounts what happened to the major league slugger after he served 14 years for crack cocaine possession and distribution.
In 1994, under the inequitable federal sentencing guidelines, Aikens was sentenced to more than 20 years for possession with intent to sell 50 grams of crack cocaine. (He’d have had to be in possession of five kilos of powdered coke to receive a similar sentence.

Exclusive: Producer and bestselling author DeVon Franklin has found his first major film role in Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company’s Jesus Revolution. He joins an ensemble that also includes Kelsey Grammer, Joel Courtney, Anna Grace Barlow, Jonathan Roumie, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Ally Ioannides, Julia Campbell, Nic Bishop and Jolie Jenkins, as previously announced.
The film set in the 1970s watches as a young Greg Laurie (Courtney) sets out to redefine truth through all means of liberation, and instead, meets Lonnie Frisbee (Roumie), a charismatic hippie street preacher. Laurie and Frisbee, along with Pastor Chuck Smith (Grammer), open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unexpected revival by way of rock and roll, newfound love, and a twist of faith leading to a Jesus Revolution that changed the world. Franklin will play Josiah, a New York news reporter covering a story on the magnitude of the movement unfolding.
Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle (Unconditional) are directing from a script by Erwin and Jon Gunn. Kevin Downes and Jon and Andrew Erwin are producing alongside Josh Walsh (The Jesus Music) and Daryl Lefever (Woodlawn).
“Anyone who knows DeVon knows he is one of the most respected and successful producers in the industry, but they also know his devotion and commitment to inspiring people through entertainment,” said director Jon Erwin. “It is part of his DNA, and we are privileged that someone who is usually behind the scenes has graciously agreed to step in front of the camera for us for this important role and this story.”
“I was excited and nervous when they approached me to act,” added Franklin, “yet once I read the script, I knew I had to be part of bringing this powerful true story to the screen.”
Franklin serves as President and CEO of Franklin Entertainment, a production company boasting first-look deals with Paramount Pictures and CBS TV Studios. He has been the driving force behind some of Hollywood’s most successful inspirational content, including the soon-to-be-released movie Flamin’ Hot for Searchlight and the television series Kingdom Business for BET+. In addition to his work as a producer, Franklin is the author of multiple bestselling books. His Audible Original, It Takes a Woman—a deeply personal look into the tragedy that transformed his family’s life—was released in April.
Franklin serves the Hollywood community at large as Vice President of the Board of Governors for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. The LA-based USC grad is repped by WME and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.

Every episode of Legends of Tomorrow is a crazy and creative ride that often leaves viewers wondering if someone behind the scenes partook in Behrad’s edibles. But for her directorial debut this Sunday (The CW, 8/7c), Jes Macallan was presented with a particularly out-there outing involving a cosmic bowling alley, a romantic camping trip gone wrong and an alien in a wedding dress.
“I got a wackadoo script, and I leaned into it,” Macallan tells TVLine. “I was like, ‘All right, if anybody can do this quirky, weird, what-the-hell-is going-on storyline, I can do it!’ and I feel like I accomplished it,...

Legends of Tomorrow is following up last season’s inspired Friends, Star Trek and Downton Abbey homage episode by spoofing Disney animated classics and singing competition shows.
In a new trailer for Season 6 of the CW superhero series (premiering this Sunday at 8/7c), Astra (Olivia Swann) somehow — don’t think too hard about it; it’s Legends after all — gets transformed into an animated princess. Elsewhere, the Legends visit a singing competition program called Da Throne, which looks like the lovechild of American Idol and The Masked Singer.

On paper, Apple’s twisty crime drama series, “Truth be Told,” reads like a win, given its top-to-bottom stellar cast and creator/showrunner Nichelle Tramble Spellman’s pedigree. Undoubtedly its greatest strength, the performances certainly help elevate otherwise pedestrian material, although not nearly enough to earn the “prestige” label that Apple aims for with its first limited series. The ensemble keeps it afloat, even if it never quite meets the expectations set for itself.

Nic Bishop (Covert Affairs), The Sopranos alumna Annabella Sciorra, Molly Hagan (iZombie) and Tami Roman (When Love Kills: The Falicia Blakely Story) have been cast as recurring opposite Octavia Spencer and Lizzy Caplan in Apple’s thriller drama series Are You Sleeping, from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and the scripted drama venture of Peter Chernin’s Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

Spencer stars as Poppy Parnell, a relentless investigative reporter who looks to uncover the truth behind a decades-old questionable murder verdict through her new podcast. Caplan plays twin sisters Josie and Lanie, whose father’s murder decades ago is examined on the podcast.

As Halloween approaches, Sony will forgo cinematic blood and guts and, instead, bring a children's horror story to theaters this weekend with the release of Goosebumps. Made for a reported $58 million, the adaptation of the classic children's horror stories from author R.L. Stine turns the writer into the leading character, played by Jack Black. The film enters its first frame in a crowded marketplace, but each of this week's new films appear to have their own target demographic. Goosebumps just so happens to serve the widest audience and represents the largest theater count among the four new wide releases. Additional releases include Steven Spielberg's adult-targeted Bridge of Spies; Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak eyes horror fans (more on that in a second); and Woodlawn hopes to find its own faith-based box office success. Overall, the weekend looks strong and I'm predicting a 9.7% uptick compared to last year. Translated...
