In this list, I have gathered all the most amazing, astounding, and entertaining anime of all time. Even though my personal opinion was taken as a huge consideration when I am producing this list, other factors such as popularity, success, critic reviews, entertainment value, plot quality, fans opinion, originality and the animation are also acknowledged.

I have watched hundreds anime and a very heavy reviewer myself. But still, I am not an expert :P Noted that I am an ordinary human, though I may have watched 600+ anime (Including series. movies, ova and etc), I have not watched every anime in the existence. You can drop some suggestions of anime that you may think deserve to be in this list.

I am gonna structure a short precise review of every single anime in this list, feel free to read it if you want.

SCORE TEMPLATE: PLOT- The flow structure and progress of the story ANIMATION- The appeal, unique style, and colour of the animation CHARACTERS- The enriching characters traits and development ORIGINALITY- The creativity and originality of the anime that differentiate the show from others ENJOYMENT- How I personally enjoyed the show

Even though the score partially considered for me to determine the placing of each anime, there are gonna be some anime that have lower score and yet placed higher than those who have higher score. Remember, the placing of the anime is NOT wholly determined by the overall score, it determined by other factors as well In this list, I have gathered all the most amazing, astounding, and entertaining anime of all time. Votes: 3,644

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 10/10 Characters- 8.8/10 Originality- 9/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Outstanding! What a tremendous series that got me hooked from the start.

Shinsekai Yori is one of those series that is so underrated and unpopular for reason unknown. It is a well-constructed mysterious anime tale, that invited the audience to seek for an immediate answer. The show deconstructs the racism and discrimination that pervades society through the implementation of fantasy societal class.

PS: The first 4 Episodes might be uninteresting, but if you watch till around episode 7-9 you will be hooked

2. Steins;Gate (2011–2015)

Votes: 73,536

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 9.7/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

The show started with confusing opening and slow-paced style that not many people are fond with. The show, however, becomes interesting with their sci-fi, time travel, mystery and plot-twists component combined altogether keeping the audience to watch the next episode, wanting for more. Though for some viewers, some of the characters in the show can be a bit dull and unmemorable, the protagonist Rintarou was definitely the opposite of all that.

3. Cowboy Bebop (1998–1999)

TV-14 | 24 min | Animation, Action, Adventure

Votes: 139,067

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 8/10 (90`s era) Characters- 10/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment-10/10

Marvelous characters accompanied by top-notch action, engaging all the audience to their their majestic-ending. Though rather slow and too episodic for some casual anime viewers, the message that each episode sent is definitely worth the waiting. One of the most western anime ever existed, and truly one of the greatests.

4. Baccano! (2007–2008)

A crazy fantasy caper involving alchemists, immortals, gangsters, outlaws and an elixir of immortality, spread over several decades.

Votes: 12,666

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 10/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment-10/10

Baccano has an overwhelmingly cast of characters that will test your level of focus, puzzling the audience to the core of their brain. The show is a puzzle. Every episode of Baccano is a piece of puzzle that the show gradually building on. The more episode you watch, the more piece of puzzle has been cracked. And with that, the clearer you see the main plot of the show.

Another one thing that made Baccano special and confusing is the story's non-chronological order. Even though it is puzzling, your patience will be rewarded at the end of the series. In my personal opinion, this is the anime version of "Breaking Bad", so if you enjoy that show, Baccano might be for you

5. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal (1999)

Plot- 9.7/10 Animation- 8.1/10 Characters- 9.8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

A 4 episode ova series prequel to the original series. A remarkable backstory of our main character Kenshin is masterfully told giving the audience a complete experience. A very humane anime that have touch of realism. If you love Rurouni Kenshin, watch this!

6. Candy Candy (1976–1979)

TV-Y | 30 min | Animation, Drama, Family

The life of Candy, a little orphan girl, and her friends.

Votes: 1,920

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 5/10 (70`s era) Characters- 8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment 10/10

An emotional roller-coaster of Candy`s life was nothing more than distressing. What I personally love about the show is because of how real it is. Although some of the drama are over-exaggerated, I thought the show blissful romance, vast distinct characters and morals lesson making this show earned its spot in my list. The show would always be remember as classic drama story.

7. Kokoro Connect (2012)

TV-14 | Animation, Comedy, Drama

Five school friends experience strange supernatural phenomena that put their relationships to test.

Stars: Takahiro Mizushima, Aki Toyosaki, Miyuki Sawashiro, Hisako Kanemoto

Votes: 2,653

Plot-8.5/10 Animation- 9.3/10 Characters- 9.8/10 Originality- 8.6/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

Another underrated series in this top ten. Many people reviewed this show as "generic school life anime" and I bet many people started to question the credibility of my list when they see this show not only made it into the list, but made it into top 10.

Fun characters, great animation, youth romance and over the top drama with supernatural element compliment the plot nicely. A strong point that this show have is the friendship's drama circling inside the characters that detest their friendship as a whole. I love how the show portrayed the characters`s friendship so vulnerable yet so strong. A well-directed school-drama anime that never get the praises it deserved, recommended for a fans that enjoy friendship drama story.

Recommended for Toradora fans!

8. Serial Experiments Lain (1998)

Votes: 17,230

Plot- 8.3/10 Animation- 7/10 Characters- 7.6/10 Originality- 10/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

Serial Experiment Lain is one of those anime that are confusing right-off the bat. It confuses the audience about what the story is gonna be. Honestly, when I finished this show I still haven't grasp the full picture of the whole plot, though I eventually understand the whole concept of internal mind entering the social network concept. It is debatable whether the series was entertaining or not, but I appreciated the complexity of the whole show and bringing something unique to the medium. Applaud!

9. Now and Then, Here and There (1999–2000)

TV-14 | 25 min | Animation, Action, Adventure

Votes: 1,923

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 6/10 Characters- 7/10 Originality- 9.4/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

I was in awe with this anime, its everything I don`t expect. Many reviewers stated that the anti-war message in this show is just solid and I can`t disagree. In fact, the series have more unheard mature lesson that you usually don't see in anime and find it quite surprising that not many people praised or discuss those other particularly positive aspects on the show. There are so many good things I can't say about the show but without spoiling you much, all I can say It's a tragedy story involving children. Don't drop it because of the animation, this show is legit!

10. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009–2010)

Votes: 197,677

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 10/10 Characters- 8.7/10 Originality- 8.5/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

This show is unquestionably amazing and gained their immense reputation deservingly. Usually I respect when people reviewed popular anime like FMA and rated it poorly, but I just don't get all the hate this show uphold. It has engaging action scene, diverse characters, and triumphant animation. Undoubtedly, the show has flaws, but I don't think they were significant enough to the point the show would considered as "generic".

11. Bunny Drop (2011–2012)

TV-PG | 24 min | Animation, Comedy, Drama

A man adopts his six-year-old aunt and raises her as his own kid.

Stars: Hiroshi Tsuchida, Ayu Matsuura, Atsuko Mine, Noa Sakai

Votes: 3,841

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 8.5/10 Characters- 9/10 Originality- 7.7/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

Slice of Life anime at it's finest. A simple story about a lonely man decided to raises a young girl by himself. And throughout the show, the unmotivated man find himself a new motivation and company with the young girl Usagi Drop has a very sincere feeling, relaxing atmosphere and cute animation. It's debatable that the animation is so unique it won't appeal to majority, but I can guarantee you will be adapted to it very quick. Usagi Drop only have 12 episodes, but it's one of the kind slice of life anime that you don't wanna miss!

12. Mushi-Shi (2005–2014)

Votes: 14,605

Plot- 8.6/10 Animation- 10/10 Characters- 8.9/10 Originality- 8.7/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

An episodic anime of one character travelling to various places with a phenomenon exploration of life, searching for answer and meaning. A beautifully animated series with wonderful scenery exuding relaxing atmosphere per episode. One of those anime that took time for you to appreciate and let the story sink in, a masterful slice of life anime fused with supernatural, mystery and adventure genre creating supreme unique experience for the viewers. One of a very few worth watch from this genre.

13. Monster (2004–2005)

TV-14 | 24 min | Animation, Crime, Drama

Votes: 44,728

Plot- 8.7/10 Animation- 6/10 Characters- 9/10 Originality- 9/10 Enjoyment- 9/10

Let me bluntly put it, Monster is not for everyone. Psychological show was never intended for everyone anyway, but this show is gold for psychological genre-based anime fans overall. Slow-paced style at the beginning of the show is such huge downer for some viewers and it is the show biggest flaw in my opinion. You need at least 20+ episodes to get invested with this show. Despite all the flaws, Monster discusses undeniably interesting lesson regarding human`s moral, mentality, and decisions. If you are psychological fan, watch this show!

14. Maison Ikkoku (1986–1988)

TV-14 | 25 min | Animation, Comedy, Drama

The misadventures of a young student and his landlady's romance.

Stars: Janyse Jaud, Shigeru Chiba, Ellen Kennedy, Ron Halder

Votes: 1,230

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 7/10 Characters- 9/10 Originality- 7.5/10 Enjoyment- 8.8/10

Maison Ikkoku is the greatest anime romance comedy ever made, period. Story structure, character development and romance depth are far greater than most rom/com anime I have ever watched. Many people put this show at the bottom of their watchlist because it has 90+ episode and old animation which kinda sad as they have no idea what experience they are missing on. Also, I noticed that the plot-progression kinda slow especially at the very start , but the the show gradually getting better and better with faster progression. Watch this show if you enjoy rom/com, its one of the best in the medium.

15. Death Note (2006–2007)

Votes: 378,983

Plot- 8.8/10 Animation- 8.7/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 10/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

Death note is an iconic show. Death Note is a series that somehow I feel lot of anime fans refused the show to be acclaimed as the best anime of all time. In my opinion, this show is still one of the best even with all the flaws throughout the show. Why Death Note is great? Because the show is thrilling, mysterious and addictive. Its one of those show pull the audience heart-string making them need to know how the story would unfold and see the ending. Many argue that last arc of the series was a major downhill for the show which I disagree on. But, I still respect those who have justified argument regarding the last arc. If you haven't watch this, kill yourself! Joking, check it out to know why is it so popular!

One of few action gem anime slipped under the radar by lot of anime fans. If you love action, you better put this show at the top of your watchlist. It has a well-directed cool action scenes. A historical anime involving a natural born female fighter that I come to enjoyed. The pacing of this show is slow, yet the connection we as the audience developed with both of the protagonists are so endearing. Do you like Rurouni Kenshin? Watch this anime!

18. Elfen Lied (2004)

Votes: 36,946

Elfen Lied has become widely known in the medium of anime as one of the best. The main ingredient behind the show success is the shock factor and daring scene that not many anime brave enough to do. Votes: 85,412

Plot- 8.4/10 Animation- 7.8/10 Character- 8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 9/10

An anime that broaden the medium into the western world during it's premiere and social media outreach even to this day, an arguably timeless anime series. Neon Genesis Evangelion is surely could not be describe nor comprehend easily, a very interesting ride of journey that many found extremely unique. It is debatable the quality of the show could only be enjoyed by minority. Performance-wise Neon Genesis Evangalion is either overrated or underrated by anime fans, anime that showed a true classic definition of how perspective could change an opinion.

20. Code Geass (2006–2008)

TV-14 | 24 min | Animation, Action, Drama

After being given a mysterious power to control others, an outcast prince becomes the masked leader of the rebellion against an all-powerful empire.

Stars: Jun Fukuyama, Takahiro Sakurai, Johnny Yong Bosch, Yukana

Votes: 80,290

Plot- 8.7/10 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 9/10 Originality- 8.5/10 Enjoyment- 10/10

Code Geass has a rich character development, quality plot with gradual plot-progression; but fast-paced. It has good animation at it's year and fascinating morality with the characters that expand the show from a typical war mecha series into intellectual psychological show. My personal complain would be the pointless mecha element in the show that the creator didn't develop. In other words, Code Geass would still be a good show without the mecha as it didn't add too much substance to series, that is just my personal opinion. However, Code Geass is a worth watch series for action anime fans.

Votes: 21,056

Plot- 8.7/10 Animation- 8.5/10 Character- 8.3/10 Originality- 8.3/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan is a ridiculously absurd anime. Characters-wise, they are crazy, dreaming to achieve something that is unreachable. Action-wise, the show has an explosive over the top fight beyond logic. An epic mecha show giving the audience a full unique experience. More importantly, IT IS SO FUNNY! Its a show that always offer different experience every episode!

TV-MA | 24 min | Animation, Action, Crime

The futuristic adventures of a female cyborg counter intelligence agent and her support team.

Stars: Shirô Saitô, Atsuko Tanaka, Osamu Saka, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn

Votes: 20,958

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 9/10 Enjoyment- 8/10 This series is a deviation of the original movie under the same title back in 1995. Many fans from the movie were unsure if the anime series would able did the original movie justice, oh boy it did. Ghost In The Shell:Stand Alone Complex has a cemented interesting premise that are difficult (or too smart) for audience to digest as it is not your typical everyday anime, it only appeal to minority. As the name said, the complexity of show in story and character presented with intellectual sci-fi, a plausible future dystopia, ethical debates, philosophical arguments solidified the show to be one of the best.

23. The Future Diary (2011–2013)

A young man competes with people around the world for a chance to become the succesor of God, with a diary that is able to tell the future.

Stars: Brina Palencia, Jessie James Grelle, Leah Clark, Emily Neves

Votes: 20,060

Plot- 7.9/10 Animation- 7.8/10 Characters- 7.9/10 Originality- 7.6/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 I don't know how to start with Mirai Nikki, I mean it's a flawed anime series with shaky plot but a strong fierce survival theme. Many viewers fall in love with Yuno which technically making the viewers loving Mirai Nikki eventually. It has decent action, bizzare characters and shaky plot twist. One thing many should applaud for Mirai Nikki other than Yuno's crazy antic is the consistency of the anime. Many anime with the same theme, usually go overboard or off-track from their original objective (which is survival game) and instead presented something that out of theme. Was it a bad show? Hell no Was it a masterpiece work? It is, but it could have been better I placed the show very high due to my personal enjoyment, show's popularity and unforgettable moments in this show.

24. When They Cry (2006)

TV-MA | 24 min | Animation, Drama, Horror

The story of a group of young friends and the mysterious events that occur in the rural village of Hinamizawa.

Stars: Sôichirô Hoshi, Mai Nakahara, Satsuki Yukino, Yukari Tamura

Votes: 6,489

Plot- 8.7/10 Animation- 7/10 Characters- 8.7/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Since the first episode of this show, I thought I can predict what the story is gonna be about. However, as the story progressed, it perplexed me even more than it was before. Higurashi biggest element was the mystery. And of course the horror of the show is why many watch it in the first place too, but the mystery make me wanna watch it until it's done, I need to know all of the unrevealed answers in this show. You will also have to watch the second season to get the full idea of the story, this show has merit and deserve more praises than what it has now. Recommended for suspense/horror/mystery fans!

25. Darker Than Black (2007–2010)

TV-MA | 24 min | Animation, Action, Drama

In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as "Hell's Gate" appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged.

Votes: 12,478

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 7.5/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 7.7/10 Enjoyment- 9.7/10 After a long deliberation, I decided this anime imperfection to be placed here. It's quite high for an anime that has a very vague storyline and unclear elaboration regarding all the confusing parts in this show. One thing I can say for sure, DTB is smart at making us blind about the plot causing the audience to question a lot of stuff (at least in my case) But able to show us a glimpse of hint regarding the show.Even with all the flaws that the show have, it gets very good toward the end. It has suspense, mystery, super powers, action and an anti hero.

26. The Tatami Galaxy (2010)

TV-14 | 253 min | Animation, Comedy, Drama

When a nameless student at Kyoto University encounters a demigod one night, he asks to relive the past three years in order to win the heart of Ms. Akashi, the object of his affection.

Votes: 4,946

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 6.5/10 Characters- 7/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 9.6/10 For a show this bizzare I decided to place it in my Top 25. Tatami Galaxy is unique to say at least. It's one of a few anime that enjoyable for odd reason. The show repeated an events that happened in the previous episode and change it into a meticulous presentation for the audience by adding more characters, different perspective and theme. Another notable aspect that need to be mention is the subs of this show is super fast, even an experienced anime watcher could find it difficult to grasp of what the hell they are saying. As this show is just an unorthodox piece of complex inhuman work, Not many people would enjoy this show. I recommended for an experienced anime viewers.

27. Hellsing Ultimate (2006–2012)

Not Rated | 50 min | Animation, Action, Fantasy

Votes: 26,774

Plot- 8.2/10 Animation- 8.1/10 Characters- 8.3/10 Originality- 7.8/10 Enjoyment- 9.4/10 Many casual anime watcher these day would say that "Vampire Knight" is the best vampire anime series, but in my case, I would answered it Hellsing. Hellsing is not only the best vampire anime of all time, it's also one of the best action anime. Alucard is just a definition of a cruel badass killing machine that fans ultimately loved.

28. Samurai Champloo (2004–2005)

Votes: 55,435

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 8.2/10 Characters- 9/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 9/10 A sheer brilliance of an action-packed anime. This show is a well-directed samurai anime with off the scale sword fighting. It has good animation, great characters and an enjoyable package of fighting scenes. Recommended for action anime fans.

29. Claymore (2007)

TV-MA | 24 min | Animation, Action, Adventure

Votes: 15,182

Plot- 7.9/10 Animation- 7.9/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 7.9/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 It's should't be no surprise that Claymore made it into this list considering I strongly stated I like an action anime with a female fighter. It's essence of action remind me of Fate/Zero, with Fate/Zero going for a bit of darker in compare to Claymore. A well-rounded action/fantasy anime that is just needed to be watch!

A young japanese man finds himself in a strange game to recover from his debts.

Votes: 3,799

Plot- 9/10 Animation- 6/10 Characters- 8.8/10 Originality- 9.8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Unlike many series, Kaiji has a refreshing solid concept for the anime which is gambling. Kaiji is a guy that have a monumental of debts and gamble to compensate all of his debts. Many may complain regarding the art, which is expected as the show have a very unusual artwork that drive people away. However, those who can get that crap over with, you will be rewarded with amazing plot.

Plot- 8.5/10 Animation- 8.5/10 Characters- 8.1/10 Originality- 7/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Before I started I will minimize the comparison between Durarara!! and Baccano. But, I do admit, it is difficult not to compare the two as both of them are extremely similar. In fact, many reviewer referred this anime as Baccano`s rehashed and watered down series. C'mon you know the drill, the show used all key elements in Baccano and changed it into this. One positive things that separate this show from Baccano personally for me it's differences on cast. I enjoyed Durarara`s cast more than Baccano. But, I enjoyed Baccano story more than this. Recommended for genre-based mystery fans

Princess Tutu is a refined wonderfully made anime, that give such a different approach to most classic ballets show. It has such a sophisticated quality, vibrant art style and great soundtrack. What I can say is my personal opinion on how I view this show, its breathtaking. Due to the show being very abstract, many people won't enjoy it and find the show is just full of comedic randomness alienating the audiences. All I can say FLCL is one of the most unique piece of art I have ever watched! Don't hide under the rock and watch this show

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 7.8/10 Characters- 7/10 Originality- 9.7/10 Enjoyment- 9.7/10 Not an anime series for casual watcher. The show concept does sound not interesting as it is about economy and trading. However, the dynamic conversation between the characters are what most viewers fall in love with. I don't really recommend this show for beginners, but for someone who want to try to different type of show in this medium, this show is a starter pack for you!

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor is just like what the title said. Captain Tylor is one lucky idiot that going through life with comedy. It has an old animation and a very goofy childish comedy that apparently not many people would enjoy. Give the show a try, if you laugh just continue the show, if you didn't then it's better to find something else.

Death Parade is without no doubt a great consistent series that reflected on human action, decision, moral, judgement, past and emotion. You will definitely question and judge every character that appear on this show. Recommended for people who enjoy Monster!

Revi is a just a natural badass girl, I personally enjoyed when a girl aiming gun and shoot people than those typical anime type of girl that just can't do anything. Not much to say about the story or the development as the show is episodic. A very short action-packed anime that I come to love.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 was an intense real-life setting earthquake anime show, very unique to say at least as I never watch any anime series involving this concept. Many debated that our girl main character is very unrealistic on facing the earthquake, which I completely disagree on. In fact, I can make a full essay of why it was realistic. Another flaw that some amateur reviewer stated was the bitchy personality the protagonist have. In my opinion, the protagonist bitchy personality was interesting and fun to watch, it's a good traits to have considering how the show end. Watch it for yourself to know if you disagree or agree with me, this show is a quality anime.

Plot- 8.9/10 Animation- 8.6/10 Characters- 8.3/10 Originality- 7.8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Kimi ni Todoke is more than a shoujo romance anime. Kimi ni Todoke has a typical cliche school-life setting, love triangle, a shoujo-cliche popular boy fall in love with an ordinary girl kind of story. But, even with it's very cliche composition this anime has, I would say the show is better than most anime with the same story. It has a very sincere feeling, cute character with good character development, good friendship portrayal and a lovely theme songs. The show also used the misunderstandings effect toward the end (a tactic that not many romance do these days) which I thought they executed it brilliantly. Here a show for a slow-paced romance anime fans.

Many people either bored with the underlying episodic nature the show have or enlightened with all the morals the show offered. Relaxing atmosphere animation, soothing soundtrack and inventive episodes making Natsume Yuuujinchou one of the best. Though, it arguably said that are some other show with the same theme are better than this, I still think Natsume Yuujinchou have a brilliant execution almost equals to those show as well.

Plot- 8.5 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Where shall I begin with this show? A words to describe this show are realistic, growing up and puberty. Aku No Hana has divided anime fans to argue the show quality, was it good? or was it bad? For me it's a masterpiece. It's so laughable that some anime reviewers dissected this show wrongfully, so let me inspect it again. The plot was nothing but a seemingly never ending issues that the protagonist keep creating for the sake of protecting his fake image. Ironically, the more he protect the image, the more broken his image become. Don't even make me started with the characters depth in this show that are just unbelievably strong. Additionally, a complete realistic scenery, atmosphere and voice acting making this show so different. And with that, I still don't get all the anime fans's vendetta against this show.

And if you think you are a guy who don't think that magical girls will suit for you, you would be wrong, try it for yourself!

Great Teacher Onizuka blends comedy and moral messages simultanously. The jokes are very sexual and blunt, and like most anime's comedies, it relies on the power of voice-acting. I love how the show introduces each character in different act, fleshing them out, albeit some are less punctuated than the others. However, I felt as though most of the jokes are very "this show is for straight male audiences".

I found it hilarious that many people criticized largely based upon the plot which is fair enough at least. Even the flaw of the show was overshadowed by the triumphant characterization Bokurano has. The show main focus is the character, so if you are one of those so-called reviewer that giving this show bad score, you are crazy. Bokurano's good point is the characters. I don't want to spoil it a lot, but the character development, regrets, philosophy, idealization and perspective of the world was intriguing to dwelve into. My view of this work is very mix up because Toradora! has a stereotypical setting, cliche character and an expected drama. But somehow I felt the show is very different compare to other shows on this genre. And yet it keep me interested to watch it until the end. Although, I respect for those who might find this show flaws could be a downer, but I have so much unjustified love for this show. This show has merit, but I thought so many things could have been fixed. Recommended for romance/drama/comedy fans

Biggest thing this series have is the cute characters and modern humors . On the other hand, the show biggest downfall is the consistency. I don't know if it's just me, in each episode I found myself bored to certain extent and then I found myself entertained in the next minute. If you enjoy comedy and yet relaxing modern slice of life anime, this could be for you!

OHSHC is a starter pack show for regular watcher to get into anime(especially girl) Many people stated that the show is targeted at girls only, which I completely disagree. I am a boy and I enjoyed this show as much as those girl fanatics do. It has pinky vibe with hilarious comedy with some cute character design. Watch this if you haven`t, but if you haven't then you must be crazy.

Plot- N/A Animation- 7/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Fumoffu is a great comedy show. I decided placed this show in my list because the comedy in the show never fail to make me laugh. The comedy was consistent and keep your comedy appetite satisfied. The protagonist comical outlandish antics every episode just so hilarious to watch. I found it very admirable the fact that they relied on the main character personality repeatedly for the comedy without getting boring in the slightest. Trust me, you won`t get enough of this show bizzare comedy.

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 9/10 Characters- 7.8/10 Originality- 8.7/10 Enjoyment- 9/10 Rainbow certainly has an unusual setting and concept for an anime. The show is very thrilling, gripping and stole the audience heart to feel sympathetic towards the characters. Great visual, great character design and great amount of violence in this show. This anime is bleak, full of action and yet it has uplifting moment. Then why did I placed it quite low? It's lack of character development. It's not entirely lacking, but I thought this show could have give me something extra to the characters, more pain, more dark past, just more something. It could have join the top of the pack and yet find itself dwells on the bottom . If you enjoy friendship anime, this show might be for you!

Votes: 8,871

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 7.4/10 Characters- 8.8/10 Originality- 7.8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Hikigaya Hachiman is one of the most simple yet complex character I have ever seen in real-life setting, school anime. The show is very relatable and obviously targeted at young teenagers. Writing a great plot is easy, design a great animation could be simple for those who practice, but it's difficult to make a show THIS relatable. It's like the author contribute his life-experience at this series and pour his all humanity to it. I really hope people open their eyes to see how amazing this show is.

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 7.6/10 Characters- 8.3/10 Originality- 7.7/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 School-Life anime like you have never experienced it! This series achieved a huge success over course of it's year spans, and one of the most successful series in 2010's decade. Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is the most hilarious and yet BADASS show I have ever seen in the medium. It has a great large cast, consistent plot, morals lesson in each and every episode, badass action scene and a very heartfelt ending to the show, more than I can ask for. You might ask, why couldn't it be higher? I read some of the reviews about this show flaw and sadly I can't disagree with that. Nevertheless, the flaws of the show might be a reason I couldn't place it higher, but this show truly deserved all the recognition it got. If you never watch this, you missing out on some of the most entertaining anime of all time.

Votes: 2,057

Plot- 7.7/10 Animation- 7.7/10 Characters- 7.9/10 Originality- 7/10 Enjoyment- 9.6/10 I am pleasantly surprised that this show is placed higher than it was intended to be. XXXHolic is a supernatural anime series about mystery, responsibility, inevitable fate and life. Many reviewers thought this show is a less-better series than Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi as both have a similar theme. One thing I can say that make XXXHolic standout and different is the characters dynamic. In addition, to their extra humorous joke coasting every now and then in the show, I would be lying that this show is bad. Recommended for Mushishi fans

It's one of the most enjoyable slice of life anime in recent years for sure. What I like about the series is the simplicity of the show. All the cast in this show was very enjoyable to watch too. I couldn't say much about it as the show content was basically all the cast comedic interaction and their weird shenanigans dealing with Haruhi. Typical slice of life, school setting, mystery/comedy/supernatural anime.

Many people including myself would agree that Attack on Titan is a decent series. It has fast-pace animation, intense thriller story, fascinating secrets and badass characters with a fairly decent plot progression. What baffled me the most is that people talking about the show's flaw? Like what? It only has one season and there are no significant flaw that could make this show as one of the worst anime of all time. If you never see it, see it right now! After finished this great show, You will be surprise and confused of why many people hating on this.

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 7.8/10 Originality- 8.5/10 Enjoyment- 9.8/10 It come no surprise for me that many anime fans reviewed this show as bland, boring and monotous due to the underlying episodic nature of the show. From the description is something out of the ordinary if you might ask me, but you will be disappointed. It's unbearable content, that same line at the end of episode and a plot with no goal causing the viewers with no motivation to finish the show. Then you might ask, why the show made it into the list? Because the show has a very interesting morals lesson on each episode. Although the show is episodic, every episode new simplistic moral come to enlighten regarding human decisions. Watch this show for the art, watch this show for the morality the show has.

Plot- 7.7/10 Animation- 7.7/10 Characters- 6/10 Originality- 7.5 Enjoyment- 9.5/10 So many people gonna hate me for putting this show in this list. Zetsuen no Tempest somehow remind me of Darker Than Black, as both shows plot not yet unfold until the halfway through and keeping the audience surrounded with mystery, suspense and uncertainty. It has a very fair psychological aspect to it that I thought was pretty good. Although the show started very slowly, when Zetsuen No Tempest gets good, its super good. Reccommended for Darker Than Black fans!

Plot- N/A Animation- 6.7/10 Characters- 8/10 Originality- 7.8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Saiki= Every cliche elements in comedy anime and turned it into something unique. It s not the most unique comedy anime of all time, but its certainly up there and deserved to be in this list. The heavy conversation between the characters are the true nature of this show comedy. They used Japanaese style comedy of tsukkomi and bokke lot in this show, as well as comedic inner thoughts. See this show yourself comedy lovers!!

Plot- 7/10 Animation- 7.5/10 Characters- 6/10 Originality- 7/10 Enjoyment- 9/10 As unoriginal the show premise was, it did sparked something in me to know how the story would unwrap. This show is one of those show have so many potential to be good and yet it failed badly. I dont know if its because the series itself technically haven't finished, but I would say that this show is great as it is keeping me interested to watch it till the end. I have no idea why people hating on this show so much, its not the best anime of all time, but its most certainly one of the best especially in recent years (which say a lot about the quality of anime these days) I don't want to stated the show flaws as it is would be a spoiler, but I can say that this show has merit, don't let people unjustified opinion drive you away from watching this show, this show has something to look forward!

Votes: 16,103

Plot- 7/10 Animation- 9.5/10 Characters- 7.7/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 10/10 Angel Beats is one those shows that many anime fans either overpraised it or underappreciated it. I am in the middle, Angel Beats its an upbeat comedy combined with tearful drama, however its shockingly lack of character development for a show that all about characters (the same issue aforementioned Rainbow has). Ironically, this show could be considered great largely because of the characters (mind blown!) I don't know if it's necessary for me to informed people about the show pluses as I want people to see it for themselves. Angel Beats is doubtlessly an enjoyable piece of work that deserve all the recognition its uphold, especially for modern anime. Check it out!

Votes: 15,902

Plot- 7/10 Animation- 8/10 Characters- 7.6/10 Originality- 6/10 Enjoyment- 8/10 Ano Hana is a cliche anime drama. It has all the cliche plot for drama you could imagine. I bet some of you probably disagree the placing of the show or maybe disagree the fact that the show included in this list. For me as a person that read/watched numerous drama series, I truly enjoyed Ano Hana, it's also a better example of good drama anime in 2010's decade. The characters are the strongest suit in this show, it has decent animation and melodious soundtrack. And can I just say the opening & ending songs are just easily one the most beautiful OST I ever heard in recent years of anime. You can't deny the popularity that Ano Hana hold in this decade, thus I placed it in this list. Reccommended for those who enjoy Clannad/Toradora!

Votes: 22,351

Plot- 7/10 Animation- 9.2/10 Characters- 7/10 Originality- 8/10 Enjoyment- 9/10 Psycho-Pass started with a really strong objective, character development, plot progression and unique concept. However, the vague explanation of the dystopian setting and causes the audience a difficulty to follow the plot. And I think when the series reached it's peak, the quality of the show was slowly fading which I found quite disappointing due to the show promising start and making the series placed at the bottom of the pack. Nonetheless, its a great police series, its worth checking out!

92. Erased (2016)

The series infamously has a really anti-climactic ending, but the experience when I was watching this show was just unforgettable. Bold animation, daring soundtrack and interesting plot progression proven that Erased is a great story. Do not neglect this show just because of the ending, it still a great story overall.

Everything in Zankyou No Terror could have been better in my opinion from the plot, animation, everything ! The biggest flaw of this show is the portion of plot and character development. This show could have been one of those show that anime reviewer admire if they have more episode. More plot, more character development. In other words, this show only lack at their length of story. But, go ahead and watch it to see if this gonna be a hit or miss to you.

Votes: 3,113

Plot- 8/10 Animation- 7/10 Characters- 7/10 Originality- 9/10 Enjoyment- 5/10 Texhnolyze is a very peculiar series that not many people will be invested. Although, I would say it has very solid tight concept and plot. Honestly, its very hard for me to continue the show. A mixture of depressing story, demented characters and abstract story-telling would drive people away from this show. This show is great in its own way and certainly has merit, I just think this show is not for everyone. If you do plan on watching this show, I suggested that you watch this one episode per night.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and it earned a special place in my heart for being one of the most memorable anime I ever watched. Wacky comedy and eccentric characters are the show biggest achievement. Although many people argued it was just another generic super hero anime, I thought it was refreshing especially at its year.
