Steins Gate. The highest level of achievement in anime history. Why is that? Because it has a mind-blowing plot, an amazing soundtrack, and an even more amazing and genuine Main Character: Okabe Rintarou. The director and writer of this anime did a perfect job in joining action- sci-fi -drama - comedy genres, always using the amazing music in the most appropriate times. And it's not only that. Maybe, for someone who is idealist (like me) and love to think about who our world may work, this anime gives him a lot of things and issues to think about. You may tell me "This is a good plot but it has many same points with other sci- fi series or movies." That's where you are wrong. The execution of the plot, and the connection of the chaos theory and butterfly effect with the story is just flawless. It shows that the past and the future are on a continuous loop, where each of them are affected by each other. Isn't it great? A very small and insignificant change in your past can change your future completely. That's the philosophy behind the world lines. And that's exactly the philosophy behind Steins Gate. After all, "Zero" is the past, "One" is the future, "the present" is nowhere to be found. (stolen by the lyrics of one of the songs of Steins Gate - Sky Clad Observer) How deep meaning has this line? In a world where there are no decimals numbers, the present is between past(Zero) and future(One), which means that present is a temporary situation. Anyway, all the above combined with a little Romance between the main characters, make the perfect recipe for an anime. 10/10. What else could it be? It is the choice of Steins Gate after all.
