“Well, with five babies in nine months, you can see that my family planning has gone for a toss,” laughs Tanuj, “These brings happen though when you get too excited. Pun intended. See, I have been working very hard on some of the projects for as good as two years. However because of Covid, things got pushed. Instead of rushing these through, we chose to spend time on post production. That’s what the good shows do and that’s why they stand out from the rest. Lamb of God’s upcoming deluxe edition of their self-titled album will feature a typically punishing bonus track, “Ghost Shaped People.” Frontman Randy Blythe asks, “What will you believe? Who will you betray? What’s the cost of victory?” in the song’s chorus, which is sandwiched between the band’s signature cataclysm of chugging guitars and anvil-smashing drums.
Although it’s not entirely clear who has sparked Blythe’s ire, it’s clear that they’re the sort of weak-spined infidel who probably wouldn’t appreciate Lamb of God anyway,...

In 1991, Sundance took place at the height of the AIDS epidemic, which, unlike the Covid-19 pandemic, was propelled by a disease that is sexually transmitted and was predominantly killing gay men. (By year’s end, the U.S. death toll would reach 29,850, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.) Amid that politically charged public health catastrophe, a 30-year-old filmmaker debuted his first feature, Poison.

1. TeslaIt’s been a funny old year. Scratch that... it’s been a terrible year, but as far as movie posters are concerned it’s been an odd, disruptive one. For one thing there have been far fewer films released this year: after the normalcy of the first 10 weeks things suddenly ground to a halt and many major releases were shelved. Movie theaters were closed for months (and have still not reopened in New York) and so there was no real need for movie posters per se, but as virtual cinema flourished online we still continued to make them, even if far fewer were actually printed. This year movie posters mostly existed as online keyart thumbnails but we designers continued to design them as if they were to be printed at 27" x 40", even sticking to the convention of leaving an inch and a half of safety on all sides so...

Of all the nostalgic performances at the 2020 American Music Awards, none threw it back harder than ’90s trio Bell Biv DeVoe.
Even the AMAs’ youngest viewers, those who may not know Bell Biv DeVoe by name, are likely still familiar with the group’s debut single “Poison,” one of two songs performed on Sunday. The other was the subtly titled “Do Me!”

Nearly 30 years after Bell Biv Devoe first performed at the American Music Awards, the new jack swing legends returned to the AMAs to deliver a medley of their songs.
The trio of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe sang their two most enduring hits, “Do Me!” and “Poison,” at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on Sunday. Bell Biv Devoe performed on a stage that looked straight out of MTV’s Nineties heyday, with school lockers and Lakers jerseys decorating the backdrop as they crooned through their iconic singles.

More often than not, queer children are born to straight parents and raised in a straight world. Traditional coming-out stories, where a queer character must reveal their sexuality to their families, have long held fascination for mainstream audiences. Infinitely more fascinating is the self-actualization journey, the universal queer experience of coming out to oneself, which is where queerness really distinguishes itself from straightness. Queer people must discover identity on our own, often without community, reflections of ourselves, or any record of our history. That’s why the queer canon — of radical queer cinema, literature, and art — is so vital, and it’s something you certainly won’t find in the latest Ryan Murphy confection.
Before it became fashionable for every TV show to have an LGBTQ+ character, queer art was often made with very little money or support. This led to the scrappy, DIY aesthetic of the New Queer Cinema,...

Remember, after “Heat” but before “The Irishman,” how crushingly disappointing it was to have Robert De Niro and Al Pacino re-teamed in the utterly forgettable “Righteous Kill”? “The War With Grandpa,” to be clear, is a much better movie than “Righteous Kill,” but anyone excited about a reunion of the stars of “The Deer Hunter” (De Niro and Christopher Walken) or “Mad Dog and Glory” (De Niro and Uma Thurman) should ratchet their expectations way, way down.
“The War With Grandpa” isn’t going to sully the reputation of any of these screen legends, mainly because it barely registers; it’s the sort of mildly amusing comedy that your brain begins flushing out before you even get to the closing credits.
De Niro stars as Ed, a grandfather to three kids, one of whom — Oakes Fegley (“Pete’s Dragon”) as Peter — has to surrender his room when grandpa comes to...

One day after being named the runner-up of “American Idol” Season 17, Alejandro Aranda has announced the schedule for his nationwide tour. The tour will begin in Washington, DC on July 8 and then continue on to New York, Massachusetts, Illinois and California. Alejandro’s final show will take place — where else? — in his hometown of Pomona, CA on July 17. See the full schedule below. Following his announcement, “American Idol” judge Katy Perry, aka Alejandro’s #1 fan, commented on Instagram, “Let me be a roadie pls.”
SEEEven though he lost ‘American Idol,’ Alejandro Aranda just changed the game. Forever.
Unknown at this point is whether any of Alejandro’s “American Idol” competitors will join him on the tour, including winner Laine Hardy or third-place finisher Madison Vandenburg. However, we have a feeling that Top 10 finalist Walker Burroughs will be in attendance at one of Alejandro’s shows since he commented on Instagram...

The days of “American Idol” being known as a “karaoke show,” as Katy Perry referred to it, are over. And it’s all thanks to Alejandro Aranda.
Even though this 25-year-old musician from Pomona, California didn’t win Season 17 — he came in second place to country singer Laine Hardy — Alejandro’s lasting impression on ABC’s perennial reality TV show will be felt for years to come. Because he stayed true to himself as an artist week after week, we can all expect to see more original songs, more talented musicians and more singer-songwriters in future seasons. And we can’t wait.
SEEYes, Katy Perry really did the worm: Re-watch the ‘most meme-able moment’ from ‘American Idol’ Season 17
“It’s been such a pleasure to live in the same lifetime as you,” Katy told the humble homie during the Sunday’s season finale. “Look, I love being on ‘American Idol.
