It's not as bad as some critics want you to believe
4 October 2019 | by emailrandom-68616See all my reviews

Some fans have really been hard on this new iteration because change as a whole is not always taken in a good way. But this version is really praiseworthy, the animation, the comedy, the family bond as a whole, give it life. Some people have compared it to the like to Teen Titans Go, but that show wishes it could be this good, mainly for all the points above I mentioned and I get what some people are complaining about: the turtles and other characters have been fundamentally changed, but for me is not such a big deal. Listen, as big a franchise as TMNT is, radical differences between iterations is NOT A BAD THING, in my opinion it let's you appreciate more the different kind of stories that each version tries to convey. Rise of the TMNT is mainly episodic, BUT there is trace of a major plot unfolding, and it will surely deliver. Give it a chance, you can clearly feel the passion in this whole project, and the people making it are creating a beautiful tribute for this whole franchise.
