All the Yellowstone drama has turned Kevin Costner into some sort of anti-hero figure among fans. Costner’s issues have caused some serious damage to the reputation of the TV series that saw its biggest overnight launch for the fifth-season premiere in November 2022. The second part of the fifth season will start filming soon, probably without Costner to lead the show. Yellowstone co-stars have revealed his gentler side over the years which tells a different story from the current drama.
Kevin Costner’s exit may have caused some hatred against him among the Yellowstone cast & crew
Costner plays John Dutton, the patriarch of the Dutton family and the owner of the Yellowstone ranch. Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, and Luke Grimes play his three children, while Cole Hauser plays his ranch hand in the Paramount series.

Being a part of a television show as celebrated as Yellowstone is equivalent to winning the lottery for any actor. In light of this, the Yellowstone cast has mostly kept quiet following Kevin Costner’s unexpected departure during the second half of Season 5.
How do the remaining cast members feel about Costner’s exit from Paramount’s show? Did the cast feel abandoned by The Untouchables star because he left some storylines unfinished for his Yellowstone character (John Dutton)? Well, Costner’s former co-stars from the series are reportedly unhappy about his departure and the fallout from it, according to a report from Life & Style.

Everyday we draw nearer to the release of the second part of “Yellowstone’s” 5th season feels more surreal. Yes I know there are spinoffs in the works – and I know fans plan to immerse themselves in that world as well – but we’ll still miss “Yellowstone.”
Luke Grimes Calls “Yellowstone” Character His Dream Role
“If I could have figured out my dream role at the age that I got that job, it would have been Kayce,” the star, who once lost the “Twilight” role to Edward Cullen, told UK’s Independent.
Awww… It feels nice to hear Luke Grimes say that because I know many “Yellowstone” fans are absolutely in love with his character, Kayce.
However, becoming Kayce wasn’t as easy as all that as he admitted he did have a hard time filming the first season for this reason.

Miranda Lambert Has Been Keeping Herself Busy
It wasn’t all that long ago that Miranda Lambert officially wrapped her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas. No one would blame her for taking a break to enjoy her successful run. However, since the Velvet Rodeo wrapped, Lambert hasn’t slowed down one bit.
Lambert has scattered tour dates from now all the way up to September. In addition, she even teased her brand-new single, Wranglers, which has an official release date of May 3. There are a lot of new things to be excited about if you’re a Miranda Lambert fan, with plenty more on the way.

It's been a full year since Paramount announced that Kevin Costner was leaving Yellowstone. With the second half of Season 5 being the final one, the news was incredibly disappointing for fans of one of the most important Westerns of the 21st century.
Moreover, the mere fact of Costner's departure has caused an incredible amount of controversy and speculation around the already cult series: is Taylor Sheridan or Costner himself to blame, how does the former intend to deal with John Dutton without his actor, how much will all this affect the quality of the finale?
All in all, even now, in 2024, it's causing quite a few controversies, as the ongoing drama behind the scenes is still shrouded in mystery. Kevin Costner’s tenure as John Dutton in Yellowstone came to an abrupt end last year due to creative differences with series creator Taylor Sheridan. After a successful four-and-a-half season run, the show is now at a standstill with Costner’s departure causing a huge problem for its continuity. Filming for the second half of the fifth season has not begun yet.

Luke Grimes isn’t mad at his Yellowstone costar Kevin Costner for exiting the hit show.
Grimes plays the youngest son of Costner’s character, John Dutton III, and addressed Costner’s departure in a recent interview with The Independent.
“Whatever happened there is unfortunate if it’s changed anything about how the show was going to unfold,” Grimes said. He added that he knew Costner had become “busy” with his “passion projects,” like his upcoming film, Horizon: An American Saga.
“At a certain point, you gotta do what you gotta do, man,” Grimes said. “You gotta do what you love.”
Paramount announced last June that it would be ending Yellowstone after five seasons. The decision came just a few months after Deadline reported that the network was trying to end the hit Western because Costner wanted to spend less time filming.
Costner hasn’t completely closed the door on a return.

Today, many people are making everything about politics: from the most mundane activities to art, there’s nothing that won’t get attributed to the left or the right or whatever else. Artists themselves don’t like that, especially when they’re giving their all to their job only to meet online backlash because of some bizarre reason.
Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes has long been frustrated with how his favorite show is being politicized, and recently, the actor spoke up against it and addressed the issue.
Luke Grimes Slams Yellowstone Politicization
The entire genre of Western has long been labeled as a “conservative fantasy” by many, and it can indeed be one: there, you have guns, horses, and fighting for your land. All is good, but the situation gets out of hand when actors don’t mean any political statements by starring in a Western TV show but get treated as if they do.

As Yellowstone prepares for its final season, the show’s star, Luke Grimes, has opened up about landing his dream role, the hypocrisy of the show’s critics, and his thoughts on Kevin Costner‘s acrimonious exit. Speaking to the U.K.’s Independent, Grimes admitted it took a little while for him to grow into his role as ranch hand Kayce Dutton, the son of Costner’s John Dutton in the hit neo-Western drama. “I felt like an idiot for the first year of Yellowstone wearing a cowboy hat,” he confessed. “It takes a while before that doesn’t feel ridiculous. Now, I barely notice it.” Despite his awkwardness with his outfit, Grimes, who once lost out on the part of Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, described his Yellowstone part as his “dream role.” “If I could have figured out my dream role at the age that I got that job,...

When describing a big star’s new release, two clichés are frequently used: it is highly anticipated and long-awaited. Well, the 11th studio album by pop sensation Taylor Swift can’t exactly be called ‘long awaited’—just 18 months have passed since the release of her previous album, Midnights. The Grammy winner made her ‘highly anticipated’ 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, available on Friday, April 19, 2024.
The 16-track album is peaceful and enjoyable to listen to, but if you read the lyrics carefully—as most Swift fans do—you will discover a convoluted and disorganized stream of thought where Swift swings between waves of introspection, rage, longing, and grief.

The Western revival is underway. After a decade of bro-country sounds and style, where 808s and baseball caps outnumbered steel guitars and Stetsons, country is looking west for a refresh. Record labels are signing artists like Ian Munsick, Catie Offerman, and Tyler Halverson, who grew up around horses and cattle. Festivals are being held on actual ranches. And stars are stepping out, hats to boots, in fresh-off-the-runway Western wear. Even songwriters who play cowboys on TV, like Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes, are dropping country albums.

Kevin Costner has been at an impasse with the producers of “Yellowstone” for over a year about whether or not he’ll return for the hit Paramount Network drama’s final season. In a nutshell, Costner wanted his shooting schedule and his character John Dutton’s exit to be on his own terms, and showrunner Taylor Sheridan does not agree. As of now, “Yellowstone” Season 5 is slated to shoot this spring and summer, without Costner.
But Costner says he’s still open to returning to wrap up Dutton’s storyline – with conditions.

After the Kevin Costner exit drama in Yellowstone, Matthew McConaughey is no closer to signing the deal for a new spin-off series. While the actor’s involvement was reported a few months back, one issue stopped him from closing the deal. McConaughey will only agree to the series if he sees a script for the same from Taylor Sheridan. The same script issue was one of the reasons that drove Costner away from Yellowstone.

Interestingly, Paramount+ has roped in another star to helm a spinoff series from the Western drama. Michelle Pfeiffer of Ant-Man fame is reportedly close to striking a deal with the studio and Sheridan may shift his focus to this female-led series.

Post Malone has made himself an indispensable guest vocalist lately. The Texas musician, who released his own album Austin last year, is showing up on the two biggest LPs of the year. In May, he’ll appear on “Fortnight,” the opening track of Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poet’s Department, and now fans can hear him dueting with Beyoncé on “Levii’s Jeans.”
The song, off her new album Cowboy Carter, sees the Texas natives joining forces to pay tribute to Levi’s, a denim brand made famous by cowboys.

Austin Butler is continuing his auteur collaborations, this time partnering up with Darren Aronofsky.
Butler, who was Oscar-nominated for his breakout transformative “Elvis” role, is set to lead Aronofsky’s upcoming feature “Caught Stealing.” Novelist Charlie Huston will adapt his own work for the screen. Protozoa is producing the Sony crime thriller. The novel is the first installment of Huston’s Henry Thompson trilogy series.
“Caught Stealing” was originally set for an adaptation in 2013 with Patrick Wilson cast in the lead role, now occupied by Butler. The story follows Hank Thompson, a former high school baseball prospect turned alcoholic bartender who gets caught up in a treasure hunt through New York City. A sadistic police officer tries to outrun Thompson, hitmen, and mobsters to find the treasure. Alec Baldwin was cast as the cop in the 2013 iteration that was slated to be written by David Hayter and directed by Wayne Kramer.

"American Sniper," a dramatized look at the life of the late Navy Seal sniper Chris Kyle (whose real-life actions have been called into question), was a huge hit. In fact, it's the biggest hit of Clint Eastwood's directing career, hauling in $547 million worldwide, a feat that made it the 13th highest-grossing film of 2014, and the highest-grossing wide-release film that opened in the month of January. it also received six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.
And now, it's coming to 4K for the first time.
Bradley Cooper stars as Kyle, and the film follows him throughout his life and military career as he becomes a deadly sniper and then struggles to maintain any semblance of a normal life at home. For some, this is a controversial film due to the actions surrounding the real Kyle, who was killed shortly before the movie opened. Some would even say the film is...

As Yellowstone gears up for its final-ever episodes, one of its most beloved stars is speaking out about the media attention surrounding a planned offshoot.
Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes were all reportedly lined up to star in 2024, the Matthew McConaughey-led sequel.
However, recent reports suggested that the three original cast members are at an impasse with producers over salary demands.
Reilly, who has portrayed Beth Dutton since the series premiere, said in a new interview with Radio Times that people should not believe everything they read.
“I just care about finishing [the main show] with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it,” the actress told the outlet.
“That’s what I care about. I’m sort of prepping for that now [and] that’s my tunnel vision thing that I care about most,” she added.
“And what goes on beyond that?...

Time will tell all about the future of Yellowstone. In the meantime, Kelly Reilly wants fans to focus on her main goal: ending the flagship series with “as much care and as much passion” as possible. Yellowstone is meant to return for Season 5 Part 2, its final episodes, in November 2024. It’s still unclear if leading man Kevin Costner (John Dutton) will return for those episodes amid reported contract disputes between the Oscar winner and series creator/writer Taylor Sheridan. Yellowstone will reportedly continue after Season 5 Part 2 without Costner and with Matthew McConaughey as the series lead. According to industry newsletter Puck, Reilly (Beth Dutton) and co-stars Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Luke Grimes (Kayce Dutton) are negotiating increased pay before officially signing on for the Yellowstone spinoff. Writer and director Ari Aster has begun production on his newest film, “Eddington,” and he has assembled quite a cast.
Now boasting two Oscars, Emma Stone will appear in the film, as will Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix, marking his second collaboration with Aster after last year’s love-it-or-hate-it-but-definitely-respect-it “Beau is Afraid.” Oscar-nominee and current Harkonnen meme king Austin Butler, Marvel’s future Reed Richards Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Tony winner Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. round out the incredibly stacked cast.
A24, which has released all of Aster’s features (“Hereditary” and “Midsommar” before “Beau”) announced the “contemporary western” that is “coming soon” via Instagram. Aster has parted ways with his usual cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski and is working with the legendary Persian-French lenser Darius Khondji, whose credits include “Uncut Gems,” “The Lost City of Z,” “Midnight in Paris,” “Stealing Beauty,” “Seven,” and “ The City of Lost Children.

Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler are among the performers set to star in the feature that A24 will finance and produce. Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr. are also set to appear in the movie that does not yet have a release date.
Aster is directing Eddington from his own script that centers on a small-town New Mexico sheriff with lofty aspirations. Two-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer Darius Khondji will lens the title that Aster and Lars Knudsen are producing through their company Square Peg.

Ari Aster has assembled an all-star cast for his next film, “Eddington,” recruiting Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr.
A24 is financing and producing the movie, which — based on Aster’s track record — we can only assume will give us nightmares. Plot details are kept under wraps besides the fact that the film “follows a small-town New Mexico sheriff with higher aspirations.”
“Eddington” starts production this week, with Aster writing, directing and producing alongside Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg banner. Two-time Academy Award nominee Darius Khondji is the director of photography.
“Eddington” marks the sixth collaboration between Square Peg and A24, which produced and distributed Aster’s previous three films — “Hereditary,” “Midsommar” and “Beau Is Afraid” — as well as “Dream Scenario” and the upcoming “Death of a Unicorn.”
