After over a year hiatus, Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 has begun production in Montana, as earlier promised and then revealed by Paramount Network Monday. The Western drama series approaches its close with the final episodes predicted to land in November later this year.
Four and a half seasons of the Taylor Sheridan series have followed the Dutton Family, led by patriarch Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, who oversees the largest cattle ranch in the modern-day United States. The Dutton family faces constant challenges from those at its borders — the growing Bozeman, Montana, the fictional Indian reservation of Broken Rock and America’s first national park.
With several prequel series and a contemporary spinoff in the works, the original installment was originally set to conclude at the end of 2023, but the WGA and SAG strikes delayed production on the final episodes.

Paramount+ was called, by some, the Star Trek channel when it first launched, but it rapidly was changed to the Taylor Sheridan channel, as his various series fuel their original programming slate. Thankfully, they are different and distinct, each with its own genre.

Kiefer Sutherland shared a post on Instagram to honor Canto and shared that he was “heartbroken” by his loss and for his family.
“It seems lately I have had to make too many posts like this one, but I am heartbroken by the loss of Adan Canto,” Sutherland shared. “He was such a wonderful spirit. As an actor his desire to do well, to be great, and then do better, was truly impressive and he will be greatly missed. I am also heartbroken for his wife, Steph and his two young children. Adan, may you rest in peace.”

Following the success of chaotic cowboy drama Yellowstone, co-creator Taylor Sheridan has been given an entire book of blank checks, and has cashed as many as he could manage in just five years. While his involvement in these TV projects wavers, sometimes drastically, his brand has always been on point.
With over half a dozen shows now within the House of Sheridan, let’s take a look at how each program measures up against the rest of the catalog.
7. Lawmen: Bass Reeves
The story of real life American folk legend Bass Reeves (David Oyelowo) was originally supposed to be a larger cog in the Yellowstone prequel machine, but as it continued to evolve, it became its own standalone project, which works both for and against the show. Part of the charm of the Yellowstone prequels for any Sheridan fan is getting to search for connections between the different generations of the Dutton family.

“Special Ops: Lioness” is one of the most intense shows currently streaming and this exclusive clip, which you can watch above, is no different.
The moment comes from Sunday’s upcoming episode (streaming exclusively on Paramount+), “Wish the Fight Away,” and sees Cruz Manuelos (Laysla De Oliveira), a former fry cook turned Marine who is recruited for the Lioness program to help infiltrate a terrorist network (by befriending the terrorist’s young daughter), interrogated by her superiors, who just so happen to be played by Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman. Saldaña and Kidman are trying to figure out if Cruz’s cover has been blown and things get … heated. Has Cruz gotten too close to her target? And will she be able to successfully carry out her mission?

Prolific creator Taylor Sheridan has a ton of projects out, and more on the way. He's responsible for the juggernaut Paramount series "Yellowstone," as well as its spin-off/prequels "1883" and "1923," plus "Lawmen: Bass Reeves" coming soon. Outside of that franchise, he's got "Mayor of Kingstown," "Tulsa King," and "Special Ops: Lioness." He's able to make a phone call to Harrison Ford (Jacob Dutton) and Helen Mirren (Cara Dutton) to cast them in "1923," and can pull names like Nicole Kidman and Sylvester Stallone. It feels like his shows are responsible for most of Paramount+'s original library, and while that may not be completely true, it's not far off.
When "1883" was in development, Sheridan got a call that Paramount had a new streaming service on the way, and since "Yellowstone" was streaming over at Peacock due to a previous deal, the studio wanted "1883" for its own new service,...

"Be careful poking that bear. Or the target will be on you." Paramount Plus unveiled an official trailer for the action thriller undercover agent series called Special Ops: Lioness, originally known as just Lioness. A young Marine is recruited by the CIA to befriend the daughter of a terrorist group in order to bring down the organization from within. Inspired by an actual US Military program, this is yet another series created by the gritty crime writer Taylor Sheridan, known for the "Yellowstone" series & spin-offs, as well as Sicario, Hell or High Water, Wind River, and many others. It's not directed by Sheridan, but it is written by him and produced. The series stars Zoe Saldaña as Joe, Laysla De Oliveria, Michael Kelly, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, Lamonica Garrett, with Morgan Freeman, and Nicole Kidman. After the first teaser, I wasn't so sure about this, but all the new footage in here looks damn good.
