Kelsey Asbille learns the hard way not to trust strangers in the woods in the trailer for Netflix’s thriller feature Don’t Move.
The streamer released the promo during its Geeked Week fan event in Atlanta on Thursday ahead of the movie debuting Oct. 25. Finn Wittrock, Moray Treadwell and Daniel Francis round out the cast for the film from directors Adam Schindler and Brian Netto that counts Sam Raimi as a producer.
Don’t Move centers on a woman who is grieving in an isolated forest when she meets a stranger. The man ends up injecting her with a paralytic agent, giving her limited time to seek help before her entire nervous system completely shuts down.
“At minute one, your fine motor skills will start to go,” a mysterious voice says in the trailer. “At minute 10, your legs will begin tingling. At minute 15, your legs will give out altogether. At minute 18, your breathing will become labored.

Paramount Pictures is crawling back for more.
The studio is deep in development on a sequel to Crawl, its gator-gnashing horror movie released in 2019, and is eyeing a fall shoot in Europe.
Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, known for penning horror flick Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and time-travel romp Project Almanac, are writing the script.
French-born horror fiend Alexandre Aja, who directed the initial movie, will be back in the director’s chair. Aja is also producing as well as Craig Flores and horror master Sam Raimi, all of whom produced the original.
Crawl, written by Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, starred Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper as a daughter and father duo who find themselves trapped in a Florida home and hunted by a gator (or three) during a Category 5 hurricane. The movie proved profitable for Paramount, generating $91.5 million on a budget of under $14 million.

Sam Raimi is reportedly set to direct his first feature film since helming the Marvel sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022. His next film, titled Send Help, is being described as a story that falls "somewhere between Rob Reiner's Stephen King adaptation Misery and Robert Zemeckis' classic Castaway," says Deadline.
It should be noted that Send Help, which is in development at 20th Century Studios, has not been officially greenlit yet. Raimi's last original horror movie was the 2009 film Drag Me to Hell, which he also wrote the screenplay for with his brother Ivan Raimi. Since then, he's also continued working on the super successful Evil Dead franchise, which he jumpstarted with the original 1981 film.
Decades later, and Evil Dead is still going strong, with the latest entry Evil Dead Rise raking in over $147 million at the box office. Raimi also developed the spinoff television series Ash vs.

In other Raimi news, there were the ever-present rumors and hopes for a fourth “Spider-Man” film from Raimi. There was even a plan for one, but in 2010, Sony Pictures, Raimi and Tobey Maguire all parted ways over creative differences and instead the studio rebooted the franchise with “The Amazing Spider-Man” starring Andrew Garfield.

Back in 2007, it was rumored that Sam Raimi would be producing a fantasy film with a screenplay written by Freddy vs. Jason and Friday the 13th 2009 writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. That didn’t pan out, but a decade later Raimi considered directing a Bermuda Triangle project that once had Shannon and Swift working on the script. Again, that didn’t pan out, with Scott Derrickson and more recently Marc Webb picking up the project after Raimi dropped it. In 2019, it was announced that Raimi would be directing an untitled island horror thriller, working from a script by Shannon and Swift. Then the pandemic hit and Raimi went on to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness… but now he has circled back to the island horror thriller, which is going by the title Send Help. This one was once set up at Columbia Pictures, but Deadline reports...

Famke Janssen is not sure what Marvel has planned for the X-Men saga but doesn’t shut the door on the idea of reprising her role of Jean Grey / Phoenix.
Janssen originated the X-Men role in the 2000 film and would go on to play the mutant in 2003’s X2 and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand. The actress also made cameos in 2013’s The Wolverine and 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Back in September, the first image from the horror film Don’t Move was unveiled. That’s the image above, which doesn’t show us anything other than the fact that the movie stars Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more about Don’t Move soon, though, because Variety reports that the worldwide distribution rights to the film have been acquired by the Netflix streaming service. A release date has not yet been announced.
Don’t Move is being produced by genre legend Sam Raimi. Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, who directed episodes of the Raimi-produced anthology series 50 States of Fright, directed the film from a screenplay written by T.J. Cimfel and David White, who previously wrote the 2015 home invasion movie Intruders and the recent creepy kid movie There’s Something Wrong with the Children. This film follows a seasoned killer who injects a grieving woman with a paralytic agent.

Bill Skarsgard stars as a deaf-mute fighting machine out for revenge in Roadside Attractions’ crazy trailer for Boy Kills World. The trailer’s loaded with action but also conveys the film’s twisted humor, captured in a clip showing a Hunger Games-ish battle to the death via breakfast cereal mascots.
In addition to Bill Skarsgard, the action comedy stars Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Andrew Koji, Sharlto Copley, and Famke Janssen. Bob’s Burgers‘ H. Jon Benjamin provides the inner voice of Skarsgard’s character.
“Skarsgård stars as ‘Boy’ who vows revenge after his family is murdered by Hilda Van Der Koy (Janssen), the deranged matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that left the boy orphaned, deaf and voiceless,” reads Roadside’s synopsis. “Driven by his inner voice, one which he co-opted from his favorite childhood video game, Boy trains with a mysterious shaman...

In 2019, it was announced that Raimi would be directing an untitled island horror thriller for Columbia Pictures, working from a script by Shannon and Swift. Then the pandemic hit and Raimi went on to direct Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness… but after spending some time in the Marvel universe, the Evil Dead creator has circled back to horror. Film scooper Daniel Richtman has revealed that the “untitled island...

Paramount Network’s Yellowstone is the most-watched show across all of television, so it makes sense that the first image from the horror film Don’t Move promotes the fact that Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille is in the movie. Actually, that’s pretty much all it promotes, because the image (which was first seen on Variety) just shows a close-up of Asbille’s face. You can take a look at it at the bottom of this article.

Daniel Francis, who starred in Steve McQueen’s Small Axe anthology series and is among the new faces joining the third season of Netflix hit Bridgerton, has been cast in upcoming horror thriller film Don’t Move from Sam Raimi’s Raimi Productions, Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios and Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios.

We’re waiting to hear news of a release date for director Moritz Mohr’s dystopian action thriller Boy Kills World, which stars Bill Skarsgard (It) and Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day)… and it looks like that news might not be too far off at this point. Scott Beck and Bryan Woods made quite the name for themselves when "A Quiet Place" hit theaters in 2018. As the writers of the film, they had a massive hit on their hands, and one that has gone on to spawn an entire franchise. But they've since moved on to directing as well, with their latest movie an equally ambitious sci-fi feature in the form of "65." Starring Adam Driver in the lead role, the duo finally gave modern audiences a big dinosaur movie that was divorced from the "Jurassic Park" franchise (read our review here). And for those who would like to see that action unfold on their TV from the comfort of home, we've got some good news for you.

Adam Driver-starring sci-fi adventure film “65” has been approved for theatrical release in mainland China. It will hit cinemas on March 31, some three weeks after the film began to release in other international territories.
The film is branded as a Columbia Pictures title and will be released by the Sony label in most territories. In China, however, all revenue-sharing import titles are officially handled by a state-owned enterprise. The Hollywood studio’s Chinese office theoretically operates in an advisory capacity, though in practice it is likely to be involved in marketing strategy and p&a decisions.
The film has a survival-quest narrative. After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth some 65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain...

One of the trailers that seemingly went under the radar during this year's Super Bowl commercial slot is the upcoming sci-fi film starring Adam Driver, 65.
Here's everything you need to know:
What Is It about?
Following a devastating crash on a seemingly unfamiliar planet, pilot Mills finds himself stranded on Earth during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 65 million years in the past. With little hope of rescue but one last opportunity, Mills and Koa, the only other survivor, embark on a treacherous journey across an unfamiliar landscape teeming with dangerous prehistoric beasts (dinosaurs!), as they fight to stay alive. This epic tale chronicles their desperate struggle to survive in a time long before humanity, and the incredible obstacles they must overcome to stay alive.

In years past, you would have to actually tune in and sit through the Super Bowl in order to see the new movie trailers and TV spots that were going to be shown during the Big Game’s commercial breaks. But these days most of those trailers and TV spots show up online before the game even starts. For example, this year we have Fast X, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Scream 6, among others. The latest Super Bowl spot to show up online, two days before the Super Bowl, is one for the sci-fi thriller 65, and you can check it out in the embed above.
Coming to us from producer Sam Raimi and A Quiet Place (watch that one Here) screenwriters Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, 65 is set to reach theatres on March 10.

65 million years ago, Big Game meant something very different. 65 hours before kickoff, Sony has released the Super Bowl spot for 65, which is coming to theaters on March 10.
Sam Raimi joined forces with A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods for 65, who directed the high concept genre film from their own original screenplay.
The original movie from Columbia Pictures stars Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt, and Chloe Coleman, and we had no idea what the movie was about until the first trailer hit. Turns out, it’s a survival horror experience set on Earth in the distant past, inhabited by dinosaurs. Adam Driver is tasked with blasting them away with futuristic video game weapons.

The 2023 Super Bowl is still over two days away, but Sony Pictures has decided to give us an "early look" at a new (wordless) teaser trailer for the Adam Driver-led sci-fi thriller "65." It was appropriately released 65 hours ahead of Sunday's football kick-off. Sony is also indulging in some clever wordplay with the words "big game." It has two meanings, as you can tell. On one hand, it refers to the 2023 Super Bowl as the big football game — and also dinosaurs, in that Adam Driver is hunting some very big game.
In "65," as with HBO's excellent ongoing "The Last of Us," the male protagonist Mills (Driver) must keep a young girl called Koa (Ariana Greenblatt) safe from all kinds of monsters. The two are the only survivors of a crashlanding, one that has somehow taken Mills and his futuristic gun 65 million years into Earth's past. That's why there are so many dinosaurs around.
