Every Halloween, Heidi Klum can be counted on to debut the year’s most talked-about costume, and 2022 was no exception. Last Halloween, Klum rolled down the red carpet in an enormous worm costume. It was as challenging to move in as it was to put together. The costume required two years of preparation and took 10 hours to complete ahead of Klum’s Halloween party.
Heidi Klum’s 2022 Halloween costume was difficult to pull off
After a two-year break from her Halloween parties because of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Klum brought her event back in 2022. She’d spent two years brainstorming and landed on a worm costume.
“I like to do something unexpected, so I tried to think of a costume that is super absurd, but also very familiar,” she told Vogue. “Because it is Halloween, you need the creepy factor, also a bit gross and disgusting.”

The Pitch: Full disclosure, I don't like "Shrek." The original 2001 film just never did it for me. Maybe it was the animation, maybe it was the aggressively anti-Disney overtones, maybe both. We're here for "Shrek the Musical," a stage production that has no right being as good as it is, and how it got me invested in a smelly ogre's origin. You’re going to be hearing a lot of a certain John Williams movie score in weeks to come, but if Star Wars fatigue is setting in already, here’s a different one of his – like you’ve never heard it before. Spielberg’s stirring sci-fi tale of Americans providing a safe haven for a vulnerable immigrant has lost none of its heart-rending power, despite the decidedly old-school animatronics. To transport you even further, it’s showing here for the first time in the UK with a full symphony orchestra playing along to the movie. In a similar vein, the Barbican (EC2) has a double bill of orchestral movie events (just music, no film): The Best Of Bond, presented by Fiona Fullerton (28 Dec), and, inevitably, Star Wars And Beyond (30 Dec), which takes in such other cosmic classical scores as Star Trek and Thunderbirds.

Fiona Fullerton has criticised fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestant Susanna Reid over her stint on the BBC One show.
Former Bond girl Fullerton claimed that Reid lacked charm and had expected to win the competition in her column for The Telegraph.
Fullerton - who was the seventh celebrity to be voted out this year - explained that she felt Reid had alienated other contestants with her "PR campaign".
She wrote: "All those votes from Grimsby couldn't save Susanna Reid, who approached this competition with a PR campaign driven with military precision.
"There was definitely an Obama-style use of social media and a lack of charm that left most of us bewildered.
"Every time she entered Tess [Daly]'s room there were uncomfortable mutterings. It seemed she'd convinced the media she was the outright winner."
However, Fullerton was more supportive of Reid's fellow finalists. Speaking about fourth-placed Sophie Ellis-Bextor, she said: "We...

Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli has suggested that Graham Norton would be a good host if Sir Bruce Forsyth decides to step down.
Rumours about Forsyth's future on the show have been swirling for some time and the 85-year-old was forced to pull out of the show last month after being taken ill with the flu.
Tonioli has now hinted that Norton would be a good successor if Forsyth were to leave the role, telling The Sun: "The hardest thing to do is to find the right balance of characters and the person that can lead that, like Graham Norton. There are people out there that are very good at the BBC that could do a great job.
"When the time comes, the great powers above will make the decision and we subjects will have to obey."

We're heading to Blackpool, the home of Latin and Ballroom dancing, for an extra special edition of Strictly Come Dancing this weekend.
It's one of the toughest ever years to pick a winner of the BBC One reality show, with the Battle of the Girls particularly fierce. Digital Spy caught up with new Strictly pro Janette Manrara to find out her verdict on the Top 5 females.
Abbey Clancy
"My very biased opinion is that I want Aljaz and Abbey to win. But seriously, I think Abbey is someone who has come into this show with no knowledge of dancing and even she is shocked at her ability to pick up choreography and make it look as beautiful as it does. I think she's a really strong contender in the show."
Natalie Gumede
"Natalie has had some dance training, but she hasn't had proper Latin and Ballroom training. And she hasn't danced like that in years.

The drama has started before a dance step has even been pranced on this week's Strictly Come Dancing as Bruce Forsyth, at the grand old age of 85, has been forced to pull out of filming with flu.
Get well soon Brucie! Nice to sneeze you, to sneeze you... not nice.
Cometh the hour, cometh the Winkleman. Claudia will make her Strictly debut slightly earlier this year, pairing up with Tess tonight and on Sunday's results show.
Aside from the hosting merry-go-round, we'll get to see every single celebrity dance for the second time tonight. Can Abbey Clancy be as sexy in Latin as she was elegant in ballroom? Can Dave Myers possibly top week one? And is there any hope for poor Tony Jacklin? Let us know your thoughts on Twitter (@dsrealitybites) and at the bottom of the page.
Join Digital Spy at 6.20pm when we'll be live blogging all the action from the dancefloor.

If Friday night's Strictly was a tasty starter, then this evening's extended edition is a mouth-watering main course, brimming with glitter, tassels and the slightly scary prospect of a Vanessa Feltz cha cha cha.
Eight fresh celebrities will be hitting the dancefloor for the first time this evening. We can probably expect some early signs of brilliance from a couple of twinkle-toed celebrities, but we should probably also brace ourselves to watch through our fingers as some famous faces display their two left feet.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight (September 28) at 7pm on BBC One. Join Digital Spy for all the action as it happens.
20:26We'll be back here for more live-blogging next Saturday and the first celebrity will get the boot next weekend as well. Julien, Vanessa and Tony could all be in trouble. Abbey, Natalie, Patrick and Susanna look like the early frontrunners. But that could easily change fast.

Ashley Taylor Dawson picks... Ricky Whittle
"Obviously Ricky Whittle was fantastic when he did it. He has real rhythm, and that's something hopefully I can learn, because you're sort of born with it, aren't you? I think he's one to look up to for me. He is one who led the field."
Fiona Fullerton picks.... Kara Tointon
"I absolutely loved Kara Tointon. I thought she was wonderful. She had such grace and was really the epitome of Strictly. I think she was probably one of the loveliest contestants."
Natalie Gumede picks... Jill Halfpenny
"I think Jill Halfpenny from series two was the first time we really saw somebody who had that passion and style in them, and it was wonderful to see. It was joyous."
Patrick Robinson picks... Mark Ramprakash
"I just have to say Mark Ramprakash, because he was so fabulous, and I played football with him for the Arsenal ex-professional and celebrity team.

Strictly Come Dancing cha-cha-chas back into your Saturday nights this weekend, offering a glittery and ever-so-slightly-camp alternative to the sobbing and warbling of ITV's The X Factor.
After ruling the ratings roost in 2012, the X Factor team and ITV will have been waiting nervously to find out who their competition is this year, but following the unveiling of the lineup on The One Show tonight, Simon Cowell and co will probably be sleeping a little bit more easily.
The biggest names on the lineup are probably Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden, BBC Breakfast's Susanna Reid, rugby play Ben Cohen and Wag Abbey Clancy. It's hardly a selection of names to get your pulse racing.
Of course Strictly lineups have never been exactly brimming with A-listers. From orange-faced antiques babbler David Dickinson and Celebrity Big Brother reject Claire Sweeney in series one to the likes of bland acting bore Colin Salmon...

Bond alumni were out in force as many faces from in front and behind the camera attended the Leicester Square screening. The film was followed by a fascinating Q&A with Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Steven Saltzman and Hilary Saltzman. They spoke affectionately about growing up together on the set of the early Bond movies, as well as the challenges faced by their fathers Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman in bringing and keeping James Bond on the screen. They were joined by director Stevan Riley who discussed the daunting task of navigating a story through 60 years of Bond heritage.

To mark the 50th Anniversary of one of the most successful movie franchises of all time and with filming complete on James Bond’s 23rd official outing in Skyfall due for release later this year, I have been tasked with taking a retrospective look at the films that turned author Ian Fleming’s creation into one of the most recognised and iconic characters in film history.
Having created James Bond in 1953, Ian Fleming went on to write a total of 14 books featuring the character before his death in 1964. The Eon produced series of films had been using the novels for inspiration since Dr. No in 1962 but as the series approached its fourteenth film, it was running out of original Fleming novels to adapt. Much like previous Bond film Octopussy, the latest film from Albert R. Broccoli’s Eon Productions, A View To A Kill, took its title from one of...

Actually, it’s a still we don’t love– but we do love the movie!
Just look:
This rather fuzzy, poorly printed still is typical of the shabby treatment accorded (in the Us at least) to producer Josef Shaftel’s 1972 attempt to make the definitive Alice movie to mark the centeniary of Lewis Carroll’s completion of both Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Although it premiered at Hollywood’s Grauman’s Chinese Theater, none of the major studios were interested in picking it up and this Veddy British film went out play largely at kiddie matinees courtesy of American National Pictures, which specialized in “family” nature films. It’s been on Us tv but over the years has become increasingly obscure despite entering the public domain.

Mark charts the cinematic history of Lewis Carroll’s Alice, from the earliest days of the moving image to the present day…
With a new interpretation of the Lewis Carroll classic on DVD and Blu-ray, I thought it might be an interesting diversion to look at the history of Alice In Wonderland in cinema and TV. However, that blew all the budget, so the cast is mostly the crew, including 'Alice' Mabel Clark who was also the studio secretary. When this came out it was the...

We decided to start our little research of immortal young lady Alice in Wonderland, that still, after exactly 145 years, has a power to inspire directors all over the world.
You all guess that the main reason for this certainly is the latest, Tim Burton’s new incarnation of this story.
But let’s start from a beginning. We were all young, we all liked fairy-tales (well, some of us still do), and enjoyed so many characters, we all had our special heroes. Then, what’s so magical about this story, when it still manages to stay on the top of the list?
Ok, we all know the facts, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is written by the English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, who used a pseudonym Lewis Carroll. The story tells what happens to a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit-hole into a fantasy world which is populated...

Fall down the rabbit hole and discover – or rediscover – wondrous adventures with the Alice in Wonderland: Classic Film Collection,a special collector’s set onDVD March 30 from Infinity Entertainment Group.
Lewis Carroll’s whimsical 1865 novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, was a cinematic favorite long before Johnny Depp “went Mad.” The first film (just eight minutes) was produced in 1903. With dozens of versions since for stage, film and TV, its beloved characters have been played by some of Hollywood’s most legendary actors.
Special collector’s set, with rare film, includes:
Alice in Wonderland (1915) — The first version near to the novel, this silent movie starred Viola Savoy. Though many believe the film to be lost in its entirety, includes all 52 minutes. Produced long before CGI, the creatures are costumed actors and the absence of dialogue creates a surreal, dreamlike quality. Also stars Elmo Lincoln, who went on to fame as the original Tarzan.

Yesterday I took you on a tour through Johnny Depp’s long and storied film collaborations with director Tim Burton. Why? Because new images from Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” popped up online, including a clear look at Depp in full costume as the Mad Hatter. I didn’t sleep last night, thanks to that image.
Now I want to give you something a little bit different. Burton’s “Alice” is hardly the first one. There have been no less than 20(!) film adaptations of Lewis Carroll’s story, including several foreign versions, an anime reinterpretation and a porno. After the jump I’ve inserted a bunch of images from “Alice” across the years. Is the porno in there, you ask? You’ll have to click to find out (it isn’t).
This isn’t the first “Alice in Wonderland,” but it’s the earliest still I could find. This 1933 version...
