There have been a whole host of movies featuring Frankenstein’s monster. The first appeared in 1910 and the most famous and best is still 1931’s Frankenstein. Its sequel in 1935 – Bride of Frankenstein – is another classic but there’s been probably more misses than hits since then. In 2013 Frankenstein’s Army had some cool ideas but didn’t hit the heights it perhaps should have while the following year’s I, Frankenstein was a fun, if throwaway, action horror. Bernard Rose directed 2015’s Frankenstein and I wish more people would check that out because it’s great. While this year brings Lisa Frankenstein and this, co-writer/director Paul Dudbridge’s Frankenstein’s Legacy.

Valentine's Day is supposed to be a celebration of love, but more often than not, it's a cheesy day full of flowers and chocolates with no real thought or emotion behind it.
And if you're a soap character, it's as likely that you'll get your heart broken as you'll be invited to a Valentine's Day wedding.
We've still got eight days to go, but Days of Our Lives during the week of 2-06-23 promises equal measures of heartbreak and romance. Don't forget that three people are stuck in the afterlife, dealing with the Devil again.
Jennifer will make another appearance in town to surprise Jack for Valentine's Day, but will things go smoothly?
Gwen and Xander have agreed to embrace being bad, which means Gwen is likely to cause trouble for her estranged father and his wife. Let's not forget Gwen knows that a high Jennifer ran her over last year!

When the banshees of the past come calling in Jez Butterworth’s fearsome The Ferryman, you can bet their shrieking will be blood curdling. Directed by Sam Mendes (Skyfall) and opening tonight on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, the Olivier-award-winning play is a stunner, stitching familiar elements of Irish pastoral drama, The Troubles history and Butterworth’s magical, myth-tapping touches into something as powerful as anything on today’s stage.
If nothing else – and, believe me, there is much, much else – The Ferryman cements the playwright’s status as an unrivaled ending-writer, as this tale of a sprawling Irish family reckoning with decades, even centuries, of violence and division spirals to a conclusion that recalls, in its own way, those earth-pounding, theater-shaking footsteps of unseen Giants that closed Butterworth’s transcendent Jerusalem in 2009.
Not that you’ll want to rush a moment of the three hours and 15 minutes...

After commenting - and some might say quite extensively! - on a few recent Digital Spy articles about the future of the BBC and the TV licence, I was asked if I would like to write a guest piece on "the pros and cons of keeping a licence fee".
Well, I was flattered as I've never been asked to do anything like that before, but it is something I feel rather strongly about and so I thought it might be a good idea - if only to try to counter some of the misinformed and not-very-well-thought-out "opinions" that seem to keep cropping up in the comments section of said articles.
In the modern era, when we have so many alternative sources of "television", the licence fee is thought to be archaic, outdated and anachronistic. But is it really?
We do have another public service that was brought in some 20 years...

It’s a well known fact that many of Hollywood’s Aussie actors have appear in the likes of Home and Away and Neighbours during their rise to the big leagues. Much like every British Actor has at some point cut their teeth on Eastenders, Coronation Street, Casualty or The Bill, it’s a rite of passage for all Aussie mega-stars to, at some point appear in one of the big two Channel 5 Aussie dramas. That said, on doing research for this article, it would appear that half the people in this list were actually born in the UK or Us, but we’ll push that aside for now and focus on their accents!
