In 2003, popular character Sandy Harper was intended to take centre stage in a storyline involving murderous nurse "Killer" Kelly Yorke (Rachel Leskovac). However, actress Laura Sadler was killed in an accident at her boyfriend's home in June 2003, meaning that Sandy was immediately written out of the show. Beginning with episode (#11.10)} the credits were redesigned so the actors who played the main characters were listed (though without their character names) before the episode, and the actors and character names for the minor or guest characters were listed at the end. The opening credits were identical for every episode and included actors even if they did not appear in that episode. See more »
'Holby City' has to be one of the most boring TV 'dramas' I have ever had the misfortune of watching. The plots are insipid, tedious, and cliched beyond belief. Does it possibly exist as some sort of retirement home for washed-up soap-opera actors ? Save yourself the pain and go and read a good book.
