Scream (1996)
It's a scream
If your looking for great entertainment look no further.
Scream is a wonderful horror movie spoof. It has
some great things going for it, namely:
1) excellent main characters
2) a very funny script
3) a very good who dunit storyline that runs through
the whole movie
By the way, I did NOT figure out whodunit. I was too
busy enjoying the movie.
Don't Look Now (1973)
An Excellent thriller
This is one of the best movies i have ever seen.
The story is very good. The two leads are great.
The action is well paced. And it all ends with a
spine chilling finale.
Degrassi Junior High: The Big Dance (1987)
excellent
This is the best episode of DJH(along with best laid plans)
When Stephanie gets drunk and goes to the dance the
results are hilarious.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
didnt like it
The GMOAT?????? LMAO
Prison dramas are a dime a dozen
what makes this different from any other prison drama?
It is unoriginal and cliched.
And I dont like Stephen King.
He wrote a horrible little story called IT.
Risky Business (1983)
loved it
Words cannot describe how much I loved this movie.
Watching Lana walk around Joels house without any
pants on really made my day.
The Exorcist (1973)
horrible
Vulgar, obscene. And not the least bit scary
the movie should have been banned
the book should have been banned
the movie is a travest.
Scream 3 (2000)
horrible
Horror sequels suck.....and this is no exception. the screenwriter did
nothing new here. He just took the ideas of the first movie and rehashed
them. The new characters were cardboard. there were plenty of needless
chase scenes. when the killer is revealed I was like WHO CARES?
They could have livened things up by having Sydney be one of the
victims. But no they played it by the book.
Scream has turned into the movie that it used to make fun of.
Rounders (1998)
Not accurate
What this film fails to point out is that texas holdem
is 95% luck. You can do everything right in a hand,
and still lose. In the real world this guy would get his
ass kicked at the poker table. I used to have dreams
like this guy had. In the real world the only winner
is the casino.
Psycho (1960)
Terrific
I loved this movie since the first time I saw it. Great script, great acting, great music, and some great plot twists.
The acting was outstanding, even by the minor characters.
Hitchcock proved that you can build suspense without resorting to blood and guts.
And the shower scene is actually quite tame compared to what you see today.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
awful
This is the worst movie i have ever seen.
I will never understand why people like these
ultraviolent movies. Tarantino thinks that
violence and entertainment are the same thing
Well They are not. Violence is usually used to
cover up a weak script, like in this movie.
It's because of movies like this that I thank God
I was NOT born an american.
There's Something About Mary (1998)
worst
This has got to be the worst movie I have ever seen.
The jokes were not the least bit funny. Instead they
were just vulgar. I dont understand the appeal of
Cameron Diaz. Yes she has a pretty face, but thats
all she has.
If I had my way I would round up every copy of this
movie and turn it into a big bonfire.
JFK (1991)
boring
This movie was so boring i couldnt believe it.
why cant everyone let JFK RIP? Why do they
have to bombard us with these crazy theories.
Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
dreadful
George lucas really fumbled the ball on this movie.
he has darth vader turning into a good guy! how
ridiculous is that? the story was bad, the acting bad,
the dialogue atrocious. Its hard to believe that lucas
who created a wonderful movie like star wars could
have written such a terrible screenplay as this. and
he has the stormtroopers defeated by a bunch of
furry ewoks.good grief. it would have been better
if they never made a 3rd installment at all.
Goodfellas (1990)
terrible
This movie is the biggest pile of crap that i have
ever seen. Gratuitous violence, unlikeable
characters, and a boring storyline make this
movie a major bomb. I cant believe all the rave
reviews it has gotten. Crap - pure crap.
Total Recall (1990)
garbage
Arnold may have had a great body(a long time ago),
but he has no acting skill whatsoever. This movie
is filled with mindless violence, silly chase scenes,
and plot twists which make no sense. Its an insult
to the Sci Fi world.
Braveheart (1995)
Awful
This must be the worst movie I have ever seen.
Three hours of senseless battle scenes. I have
a question for Mel Gibson. If this guy William
Wallace was such a great warrior then how
come no one ever heard of him until this movie
came out? Only in America would they allow
such crap to be aired.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
A Work of Art
This is the most incredible movie I have ever seen. It chronicles the
evolution of man, starting from primitive ape and ending with superhuman. The first great scene was when the apes discovered the monolith. Every scene
in this movie is a work of art. The best scene of all is the stargate
sequence. I have never seen a more brilliant scene than this. The only
other movie as good as 2001 is Star Wars.
Two big thumbs up
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986)
bad
Sequels suck. and horror sequels really suck
and this is no exception.
Star Wars (1977)
An Epic Adventure
Star Wars is the ultimate film going experience. An epic
tale of good versus evil. All taking place in outerspace.
It features:
A long and engaging screenplay
Well developed characters
Non stop action
It is a movie classic to be sure.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
I LOVED IT!
This is the most horrifying movie that you will ever see. It's a blueprint on the right way to make a horror film. Well directed, well acted, and scary as hell. The movie starts off slowly. In fact there are no scares at all for the first 35 minutes. But once Leatherface shows up, all hell breaks loose. The movie turns into a wild roller coaster ride. Horror has never been done better.
The Shining (1980)
Not as Good as the Book
This is a terrible adaptation of the book. They left out large
sections of text. I bet Stanley Kubrick didnt even bother to
read the book. And Jack Nicholsons portrayal of Jack was
awful. In the book, Jack makes a slow descension into madness
due to his isolation and drinking problem. But in the movie
Jack was crazy right from the start. And he was treating his
wife like crap right from the start.
To be fair the movie does have some good scenes and it has
an exciting ending. But it still falls far short of the book
