Here's what actually happened to the dream house the 'Lost Boy' built for himself.
Hollywood Bandit's Bank Heist Birthed the True Crime Series
Netflix's How to Rob a Bank documentary series follows the story of "Hollywood's" infamous bank heists and how he had successfully evaded the police by disguising himself like the actors in movies such as Point Break.
Scott Scurlock managed to get away with the grand theft total of 19 banks, snatching a bigger sum than $2 million while working alongside his cohorts, Steve Meyers and Mark Biggins.
Unfortunately, before Scurlock could get arrested for pulling off his bank heists,...

It is 2023, and streaming services are constantly in our faces and on our TVs and devices. Whether it be Max (or The Artist Formerly Known As HBO Max), Apple TV+, Disney+, Paramount+, or old stalwarts like Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, it seems like we have unlimited options for content.
But even with genre-specific services like Shudder and Screambox, free-services full of movies like Tubi, or deep cut catalogs like The Criterion Channel or Arrow Player, there are still many movies which are not currently available on any service, so we have to call physical media in for the rescue.
Here are 5 excellent horror movies that are not available to stream, rent, or buy on any digital service, but do have excellent physical media Blu-ray and 4K Uhd releases.

Review: In their seemingly neverending quest to refresh their animated IP with live-action remakes, Disney thought they would find luck by bringing auteur David Lowery back after his updated take of Pete’s Dragon to tackle a new Peter Pan feature film. We have sad news to report this afternoon, as it has been announced that author Peter Straub – whose best known works include the 1979 novel Ghost Story (which served as the basis for the 1981 film of the same name) and his Stephen King collaborations The Talisman and Black House – has passed away at the age of 79.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in March of 1943, Straub was a voracious reader as a child and said he became aware of his own mortality at an early age, as he survived being hit by a car when he was just seven years old. Although his father wanted him to be a professional athlete and his mother was hoping he would become a Lutheran minister, Straub was more interested in becoming a writer – and after earning an Ma degree in English and working as an English teacher for a while, he began his professional writing career with the novel Marriages,...

It’s fitting that a song about doing it yourself is the only track in Rolling Stone‘s year-end Top 50 chart to be penned by a single writer. The song in question, Tones and I’s “Dance Monkey,” was inspired by busking, which is exactly what the Australian artist — born Toni Watson — quit her job to do for the sake of following her dream.

When actress Leven Rambin and director Ramaa Mosley say their film, “Lost Child,” was a passion project, they don’t mean it lightly. It’s been a struggle, from getting financing and distribution, to the filming process, which involved trekking through Ozark forests and mud in the punishing summer heat. It was only through the “willpower and determination” of the all-female creative team that the thriller about a woman (Rambin) discovering an abandoned boy in the woods and searching for his identity, was able to be made and screened. Mosley and Rambin, who plays young veteran Fern in the film, speaks with Variety ahead of their film’s Friday release.
How did you get inspired to make “Lost Boy”?
Ramaa Mosley: We crafted a story that was built around personal experiences that both my co-writer [Tim Macy] and myself had been through with family and issues that were important to us,...

Though DC’s Shazam! is still more than 8 months away, Marvel has already given us at least one superhero who looks like an adult but is really a kid at heart.
Climaxing his first movie with an impromptu dance-off, Guardians of the Galaxy leader Peter Quill is every bit the man-child that Chris Pratt’s character in Parks and Recreation was, albeit a man-child that shows undeniable skill with a ship and a blaster. But as silly as this figure can sometimes get, the creative team behind Avengers: Infinity War are quick to point out that there are darker components to the character of Star-Lord which hark back to another Peter who never grew up.

Foley artists are doing god’s work. Essentially, their job is to reproduce the most minute and ambient of sounds in film, such as the click of a lock or the rustle of clothing. If they’re doing it right, you’ll barely notice. If they’re doing it wrong, it’s all you’ll be able to focus on.
Instagram account Bad Foley is interested in the latter. With each post, Bad Foley derails intense, emotional film scenes with wildly inappropriate sounds that make a mockery out of the action unfolding. Just listen to the plasticky squeaks as this Lost Boy rubs Robin Williams’ face in Hook:

Now That was an ending.
For some reason, that ending didn't even cross my mind while watching Colony Season 2 Episode 11, but now I fear for the lives of Will, Katie, Gracie and Charlie.
A "Lost Boy" with that much emptiness in his eyes won't have much care for his blood relatives in the long run. He's on a new, exciting path.
At this point in the story, I don't even know where I stand anymore. Everything has become so confusing.
Not confusing as to the need to fight against the Raps, that's a given. What's become confusing is the how. During Colony Season 1 when Katie and Will were on different pages, it genuinely seemed like a moral dilemma.
But now that we know a couple new things, such as the colony being marked for extinction and the ease in which the entire thing can go up in a puff of smoke,...

Ruffffiiooooo!
Earlier this week, “Hook” actor Dante Basco (best known for his turn as fan favorite Lost Boy Rufio in the 1991 new classic from director Steven Spielberg), launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of funding a short fan film about his character’s pre-“Hook” life, entitled “Bangarang.” The campaign is currently asking for $30,000 to fund the story of the orphaned “Roofus,” long before he added a kicky mohawk and headed off to Neverland. Added bonus? If the campaign hits its stretch goal of $200,000, Basco (who is serving as an executive producer on the project), along with writer and director Jonah Feingold, executive producer Rawn Erickson III and the rest of the “Bangarang” team, would set to work on a full feature.
IndieWire spoke with Basco, Feingold and Erickson just as the campaign was really taking off (as of this writing, the campaign has made over $23,000, and seems well on...
