ICM Partners has promoted a clutch of business affairs executives. Expanded responsibilities for the group reflect the agency’s growth and the changing nature of employment for artists and others across the entertainment landscape.
Alexandra Kopp has been named VP of business affairs. Amanda Kowal and Olivia Trikilis were upped to senior managers. Nada Bariche, Christine Krikorian and Amy Mellman have advanced from entry-level positions to a business affairs focus. Hope Driskill has joined the agency’s legal affairs team to focus on business and corporate affairs.
“All of these talented women have proven themselves to be exactly the type of top caliber legal and business affairs executives we have long been fortunate to count as colleagues in these departments, and we are pleased to recognize their contributions with these promotions,” said Rick Levy, ICM Partners’ general counsel.
Kopp has been with ICM Partners since 2014, signing on in business affairs.

ICM Partners has promotions of seven executives in its Business and Legal Affairs groups.
Alexandra Kopp was promoted to VP Business Affairs; Amanda Kowal and Olivia Trikilis to senior manager business affairs posts. Nada Bariche, Christine Krikorian and Amy Mellman to business affairs executives; and Hope Driskill joins the legal affairs team as an attorney who also will handle business and corporate affairs duties. All will work from ICM’s Los Angeles headquarters except Mellman, who is based in New York.
Each of the seven will work across multiple disciplines, rather than the only one specific area as agency business affairs executives traditionally have done. This broadening of core areas of competency reflects trends in the business requiring talent representatives to be fluent in multi-hyphenate disciplines, ICM Partners said.

Just days earlier, Ashley Nolan's immunity necklace was as good as Devon's, but on Wednesday's episode of Survivor, their alliance went kaput.
The 26-year-old lifeguard definitely proved that she had the strength to win challenges and the smarts to create strong alliances, but those alliances clearly weren't as strong as she thought.
"When [Devon and Chrissy] picked Ryan for the reward is when it first struck me as odd. I was like, 'Ok. There's a good chance that I just lost him,' but I was trying to be optimistic, and in my head, I was like, 'Maybe he's going to work for both of us. Maybe he's going to make some moves for both of us against Ben or against Mike,'" Ashley told Et over the phone on Thursday. "But when they got back, everything seemed different."

Fans weren't the only ones shaking their heads at Lauren Rimmer for being eliminated on Wednesday's episode of Survivor with (half) an idol and an advantage in her pocket.
"[My sister has] cussed me out two or three times," Lauren told Et over the phone on Thursday. "She's called me a dummy and a few other things."
The North Carolina native's sister, Sunny, had been her No. 1 supporter throughout the game, and even dragged her to the open casting call that led to her joining the game. While Sunny didn't make the cut, Lauren promised that she would "share every minute that I could with her, and that I would do my best to get her to the family visit." Lauren made good on that promise, and Sunny was flown out to Fiji to reunite with her sister just in time for her torch to be snuffed.

Viewers finally saw some moves being made on Wednesday's episode of Survivor -- but don't call it a blindside.
After seemingly being on the bottom since the merge, Joe Mena and Dr. Mike were finally able to turn the vote, sending Jp Hilsabeck home. It was a huge victory for the Coconuts, as they called themselves, but Mena, who was sent home in Wednesday's second episode, isn't exactly happy about it.
"It wasn't a blindside. It was Jp!" he told Et on Thursday. "A blindside would have been Chrissy and Ben, and that's what I was going after. After two weeks of me yelling, [threatening that I won't vote for] any of the seven if no one makes a move... they came up with Jp."
"Jp is the person you actually keep in the game.... I don't think he knew what was going on," he continued. "Once Jp was gone, I was really trying to flip the script and take Devon out. But they...

The seventh episode of Survivor: Game Changers took a shocking turn on Wednesday night. During one of the show's heated tribal councils, castaway Jeff Varner chose to out fellow contestant and tribe member Zeke Smith as transgender as a way to convince the rest of the group that he's "deceptive." "There is deception here. Deception on levels, Jeff, that these guys don't even understand," he told everyone, before turning to Zeke. "Why haven't you told anyone here you're transgender?" Naturally the other members of the tribe responded with outrage at Jeff's malicious speech and immediately began defending Zeke. When it was clear who would be going home, the long-running reality show's host, Jeff Probst, also took a stand, telling the castaway he was done. "We don't need to vote," he said. "Just grab your torch." Shortly after the show aired, The Hollywood Reporter published a guest column written by Zeke about his experience,...

Zeke Smith admits there were some things he wanted to keep to himself when he signed up for not one, but two seasons of Survivor.
That all changed on Wednesday's episode of Survivor: Game Changer when fellow castaway, Jeff Varner, outed him as being transgender during the tribal council portion of the show. Varner was promptly voted off the island, unanimously.
"I’m not wild about you knowing that I’m trans. An odd sentiment, I realize, for someone who signed up for two seasons of the CBS reality giant, Survivor," Smith admits in an op-ed for The Hollywood Reporter. "See, when I got on a plane to Fiji last March, I expected to get voted out third. I’d return home, laugh at my misadventure, and go about my life, casually trans in the same way that Zac Efron is casually Jewish."

The middle of Spring actually means a new selection of summer blockbusters to look forward to, and with a ton of big-budget films slated to come out within the next few months and beyond, the summer of 2015 looks like one to remember.
From the new Mad Max (which is already on our end-of -year top ten list event though we haven’t yet seen it) to Avengers, Poltergeists, male strippers, talking teddy bears, and a reboot of the Jurassic Park franchise, this summer’s trips to the theaters will be jam-packed with sequels and new tales. From May 1st right through to the end of August, some of the movies on our list could wind up on year-end “best of” lists or even receive some Oscar talk by December.

If you’re a horror game fan, this fall is going to be hotter than a Sumerian summer. Two massive titles are set to hit console in the pre-Christmas season, and one of them, Alien: Isolation, just released a new video.
Instead of game footage, this video shows some behind-the-scenes moments with the cast of the original Alien and some of their thoughts on video games and the enduring quality of the film. Everyone from Sigourney Weaver to Harry Dean Stanton makes a quick appearance.
This was no doubt done to encourage people to pre-order Alien: Isolation, which comes with the Crew Expendable and Last Survivor Dlc featuring the cast of the original film. Both Dlc packs recreate scenes from Alien and should be a big enough incentive for any horror fan to pre-order the upcoming game.

Sega’s forthcoming Alien: Isolation tells an original story about Amanda Ripley (briefly mentioned in Aliens) set 15 years after the first film. Sega has unveiled the inevitable pre-order Dlc deal for Alien: Isolation, and it takes players back to the original 1979 movie, Alien, giving us a chance to play out two scenes from the film.
Pre-orders in the UK (and presumably other regions) will all receive an upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which will include the Dlc, Crew Expendable. This Dlc lets players pick one of the original crew, including Dallas, Parker, and, of course, Ellen Ripley. That's not all, though. Those who buy the game from select retailers will also get access to the Last Survivor Dlc. This sees Ellen Ripley alone on the Nostromo,...

Sigourney Weaver will voice Ellen Ripley in a new Alien video game.
She will be joined by Veronica Cartwright, Tom Skerritt, Yaphet Kotto and Harry Dean-Stanton on the voice cast of Alien: Isolation's Dlc Last Survivor and Crew Expendable packs, reports IGN.
Crew Expendable puts players in control of Ripley, Dallas (Skerritt) or Parker (Kotto) in the aftermath of the death of Stanton's Brett at the hands of the xenomorph.
Each character offers a slightly different perspective of the events.

Why does Chris Harrison call this a "very special edition" of "The Bachelorette"? They do one of these every season. A "very special" tell-all episode would be if they let the guys jello wrestle.
The Fans
Harrison and Desiree crash some of the "Bachelorette" viewing parties. If this happened to me (not that I have viewing parties, this is just me and my wine), I'd be knocking Desiree into the bushes to get to Chris Harrison. And you know what I'd shout at him?
"I Need To Talk To Chris Harrison!"
Also, Desiree, let's not pretend these people watch the show to get together and swoon over the fairytale. These viewing parties are to drink and watch "The Bachelorette" MST3K-style.
Weirdly, they up the stakes for one viewing party by bringing approximately 42 former "Bachelor" franchise stars (and a couple "Bachelor" spawn). Then they kidnap the unsuspecting viewers onto the party bus.

Quickest Turnaround: Lifetime will air “Jodi Arias: Dirty Little Secret” — a movie covering the titular character’s murder of Travis Alexander — on June 22, just a month after her conviction.
Biggest Surprise: Elementary opted not to end their first season on a cliffhanger.
Unhappiest Fans: Despite early buzz that Happy Endings would be picked up by another outlet if ABC axed the series, it’s now looking as if the show might be dead in the water.
Unkindest Cut: Only two weeks after All My Children and One Life To Live hit Hulu with new episodes airing four days a week, production company Prospect Park announced that starting Monday, the soaps will only air twice a week.
Best Showdown: Literally an entire season in the making, Calzona’s Greys Anatomy blowout was a stunner.
Worst Trend: Brian Grazer indicated that producers of the Friday Night Lights movie might ask fans to help fund the movie.

Weeks of intense competition, alliances, betrayal, and elaborate mind games on Survivor all boiled down to one night, as the twenty-sixth Sole Survivor and $1 million prize winner was announced on Sunday.
After over a month in the Philippines' scenic Caramoan Islands, the competition, which began with ten fans and ten returning players, was reduced to five players: Sherri Biethman, John Cochran, Eddie Fox, Dawn Meehan, and Erik Reichenbach.
Pics: Exclusive: 'Survivor' Challenge
The returning players outnumbered the newcomers by one heading into the series finale, but that margin was soon evened when Erik, who originally appeared on Survivor: Micronesia, was forced to withdraw from the competition for medical reasons.
That left two males and two females remaining in the game. After reacting to the shocking news of Erik's late-competition departure, the final four reflected on the remainder of their sixteen departed fellow contestants.

The second of the Three Amigos was voted off "Survivor: Caramoan" when Reynold Toepfer was the first of two eliminations on Wednesday's (May 1) episode. He tells Zap2it he sees himself as a big underdog of the season.
Are you glad you went on "Survivor"? Was it everything you expected or hoped it would be?
"It was an incredible experience. On the episodes, you get to see a lot of the drama and the struggle, but there's also a lot of wonderful moments out there, where you're not tied down ... by regular life. You reflect in a beautiful setting, while you're totally pure because you're not really eating. It's a really shaping experience for sure, in a positive way."
You had kind of a volatile season on "Survivor." Did you see yourself as more of a hero or a villain during your time out there?"
"I would more say underdog.

Survivor: Caramoan Review, Season 26, Episode 4
“Kill or Be Killed”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
In the past 25 seasons of Survivor, there are several prime examples of hapless tribes. Last season’s Matsing lost the first four challenges and was quickly absorbed into the other two groups. Back in Palau, Ulong never won immunity and remains the standard for the worst pre-merge tribe. They may not be in that company, but the fans are making a bid to enter the conversation. Their only challenge victory was a fluke when Reynold soared past Malcolm at the last minute. This week, they strive mightily to change their fate, but the favorites are a stellar bunch and grab both wins. After Shamar meekly exits with an eye injury, it seems like Reynold or Eddie is heading out. Although they haven’t always shined, keeping them around makes sense. Survivor 26,Fans Vs Favorites eliminated Laura Alexander in episode 4 tonight. Tonight's show ,kicked off with more conversation footage after Hope got voted off in the last tribal counsel. Then it quickly moved ahead to rewards challenge footage, which involved the tribes having to balance their whole group on a very space-limited platform in the water. The favorites won that challenge, which gave them a big meal as a reward. After that, Reynold changed his focus from getting Shamar voted off to getting Laura voted off, claiming she's too weak and they need to win challenges. After a break, they showed more conversation footage. Both Eddie and Reynold went back to complaining about Shamar not doing anything around the camp as he just laid in the shelter all day while everyone else worked. Everyone else appeared to join Reynold and Eddie in their Shamar complaints. At one point, Shamar had ran...

After Tribal, Eddie and Reynold are ... basically mad that they got played. Their argument about Laura vs. Hope is valid -- Laura is pretty weak. But the other people have an alliance and you aren't a part of it. Which is mostly your own fault. You guys made your Cool Kids alliance on day one and failed to count that four people is not a majority on a tribe of 10. Yes, Eddie, you are screwed. Stop being such a sore loser. You got played.
