TNT Sports went live on Tuesday across the U.K. and Ireland, replacing BT Sport.
The rebrand was revealed earlier this year as part of the Warner Bros. Discovery joint venture. TNT Sports is already used as Wbd’s sports brand in Latin America and the U.S.
TNT Sports will present the premium live sports rights previously carried by BT Sport including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, Gallagher Premiership Rugby, Heineken Champions Cup, Epcr Challenge Cup, MotoGP, cricket, UFC, Boxing and WWE. In addition, the Olympic Games Paris 2024, grand slam tennis tournaments, including the Australian Open and Roland-Garros and cycling grand tours, including the Tour de France, will be available.
Discovery+ is the U.K. home for TNT Sports. It will be available under a premium plan, priced at £29.99 ($39.25) per month, which is the same price as was previously charged for a BT sport monthly Pass.

Amazon has announced that more than 40 presenters and former professionals will be part of its English Premier League lineup, with its coverage of the soccer competition kicking-off in December.
Amazon secured rights to show the Premier League in the UK last year, and will air 20 matches a season. Coverage will launch on December 3 with mid-week fixtures, before it shows 10 matches on December 26-27.
BBC presenter Gabby Logan will anchor the Sunset+Vine-produced action, alongside Eilidh Barbour — a BBC and Sky broadcaster — and Jim Rosenthal, a veteran who has covered the world’s biggest sporting events for major UK broadcasters.
Logan is already hosting weekly Amazon soccer show Back of the Net, but her presence on live coverage is still a coup for the Jeff Bezos-owned streamer. Logan is one of the BBC’s highest-profile presenters, taking home a salary of more than £290,000 and hosting shows including Sports Personality of the Year.

We’ve taken a pen to the UK Christmas TV and radio schedules and circled the shows we’re looking forward to. Add yours below!
Amid the cosy repeats, big movies and inescapable cranberry-stuffed cookery shows on TV this month are a few original gems. Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s Inside No. 9 festive special The Devil Of Christmas (Tuesday the 27th of December, 10pm, BBC Two) is top of our must-watch list. Hot on its heels is Yonderland’s family friendly Yonder Yuletide (Saturday the 24th of December, 6.30pm, Sky One). Another for families on Sky is the Christmas Day Jasper Fforde adaptation The Last Dragonslayer, while Channel 4 has the non-festive-but-essential-for-fans-of smart-sci-fi Humans series two finale (Sunday the 18th of December, 9pm).

Newcastle United have received backing from an unlikely source – with former Magpies striker Michael Owen predicting they could achieve a “top-10 placing” in the Barclays Premier League this season.
Robbie Savage claimed earlier in the week that he “feared” for the Magpies and expects them to “struggle” under McClaren, but Newcastle’s record signing – and now BT Sport pundit – disagrees.
Describing McClaren as “one of the best coaches” he ever worked with, former Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Owen believes the ex-England boss could “do well” during the 2015-16 campaign.

In particular, Owen seems impressed by Newcastle’s acquisitions of Georginio Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba.
Speaking to Colossus Bets, Owen said:

Newcastle United boss John Carver has found time to relax despite the club’s perilous position – by attending a charity golf day, despite claiming the club would attempt to stay out of the media glare this week.
The Magpies interim head coach may have led his side to nine losses out of the last 10 but, due to Newcastle’s pivotal showdown with West Ham United not being until Sunday, Carver decided to visit Close House Golf Course on Monday.
His Newcastle side meekly surrendered a one-goal lead to succumb to a 2-1 defeat at already-relegated Queens Park Rangers on Saturday and Carver was left frustrated by his side’s inability to gain a first victory since February 28th.

The transition from football into punditry is no easy task. Just ask Phil Neville.
Still, Paul Scholes has been with BT Sport for half a season now and you'd think he'd have learned that there's a camera in front of him recording whatever he says.
However, the former Manchester United midfielder must have had a momentary lapse on Tuesday night - when Robbie Savage was being Robbie Savage and winding Scholesy up about United's Class of 92.
Watch the funny video below as Scholes muttered under his breath exactly what he thought of Savage:

Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole has said that pressures of the show "can tell on some couples".
The dancer, who is partnered with actress Sunetra Sarker for this series, added that they had not experienced any tension between them.
Speaking to Digital Spy and others, Cole said: "It's a funny one this show, because it's a very intense relationship that you're thrust into with no option.
"There are no choices. It was like Sunetra was just given me whether she liked it or not. And she has to make every situation work. But under the pressure, it can tell on some couples.
"Luckily, it hasn't really got to us and we just crack on and get the job done that we need to do and hopefully support each other as much as we can."
There have been rumours on the show that Steve Backshall was being bullied by partner...

Digital Spy caught up with the sporting star for a quick chat before his jungle entry to find out exactly what viewers can expect from his unexpected jungle antics…
What's going through your mind as you prepare for your jungle adventure, Jimmy?
"Right now, I can't wait to get into the jungle. I've had enough of this hotel. I just want to get in there and get on with the show."
Is the hotel not very nice?
"It's a lovely hotel. Sorry, that come out all wrong! It's a great hotel. I'm just bored. I need stuff to do because I get bored very easy, but there's not much to do here. I've watched about 20 films, so I could work for Film4 now.

While the world of Newcastle United has fallen apart in the past couple weeks, Roy Keane has entertained everyone with snippets from his new book in which he attempts to break down every past relationship he’s ever had. A significant portion of the media focus in the North East for the book has fallen on his choice assessment of Newcastle United as an arrogant club who have no right to think they’re very good at all, and his all-encompassing love of Sunderland, including the people and the place.
The book – with its hilarious revelations about Robbie Savage and savage verbal take-downs of Rob Lee, Alan Shearer, Ellis Short and pretty much anyone Keane ever met is out now and one Tesco store has used one of Keane’s own infamous quotes – this time not from his book – as a means to merchandise the inflammatory autobiography.

It's not quite time for Ant & Dec to start packing up their golf clubs, but the early rumours on who might be taking part in I'm a Celebrity 2014 have already started flooding in.

Savage is not a stranger to reality TV. He appeared on Strictly Come Dancing three years ago and finished sixth in the dancing contest.
The 2014 I'm a Celebrity line-up could, however, star singer Tulisa Contostavlos, magician Dynamo, diver Tom Daley and Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan.
Model and TV presenter Melanie Sykes was also recently rumoured to feature in this year's series.

No, it wasn't Adrian Chiles's turn to do the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The ITV anchorman and his co-hosts had an unexpected shower when Swiss officials decided to turn on the sprinklers prior to tonight's (September 8) game between Switzerland and England.
In Defence Of... ITV Sport's World Cup coverage
Chiles was joined by Glenn Hoddle, Lee Dixon and Ian Wright to discuss England's chances going into their first Euro 2016 qualifier, when he realised that they were about to get a soaking.
The group unsuccessfully attempted to avoid the sprinklers, and Chiles signalled for a break soon after the incident.

Earlier this year, Chiles and Robbie Savage were voted among the most gaffe-prone football pundits.
The ITV anchorman and his co-hosts had an unexpected shower when Swiss officials decided to turn on the sprinklers prior to tonight's (September 8) game between Switzerland and England.

One of the most obvious lessons from Newcastle’s goalless draw against Aston Villa was that Newcastle probably need something more up front. There is no question that Riviere has his value – and it will probably come when he is paired with someone else to take advantage of his good hold-up play – but he is not the experienced player needed.
So it’s good news that it looks like Newcastle might be about to announce their tenth signing of the summer – even if the source of that announcement is a bit odd. Speaking before the game at Villa Park, Neil Warnock told fellow self-promotionalist Robbie Savage and Darren Fletcher on BT Sport that Newcastle are going to make their next signing tomorrow.

Match of the Day celebrates its 50th anniversary this week, after launching back in August 1964 with a game between Arsenal and Liverpool.
Half a century later, after five decades of triumph and tragedy for football fans across the country, the UK's flagship football programme is still going strong and remains as iconic as ever.
To celebrate this, Digital Spy has collated its own Premier League table of Motd icons from past and present. Using a (likely contentious) points system based around football knowledge, longevity on the show and a certain 'magic factor' that makes them a warm presence on our screens, this is our just-for-fun chart of the biggest names in its history.

Despite uttering the infamous line "you can't win anything with kids", Alan Hansen went on to become one of the longest-running and most well-respected football pundits in the UK.
After 22 years, Hansen has appeared on his final edition of Match of the Day on BBC One, leaving Alan Shearer as the only regular pundit alongside Gary Lineker on the flagship football show.
With a place to fill, Digital Spy has selected 11 potential candidates to replace Hansen as the next full-time pundit from the 2014/15 season onwards.
1. Gary Neville
The BBC may be tempted to sensationally poach arguably the best pundit working today in Gary Neville. Sky are highly unlikely to let the older Neville leave, but he would bring a modern, technology-filled touch to proceedings. Despite only working on TV for a couple of seasons, he has already built a reputation as an intelligent expert, rather than just an ex-player saying a few words on screen.

The battle of the pundits between the BBC and ITV at recent major tournaments has been something of a one-sided competition.
Poor old ITV. A bit like watching England taking part in a penalty shoot-out - no matter who they tried giving the ball to, they always ended up fluffing it on the big occasion. However, in 2014, something seems to have changed.

I never thought I'd ever say this, but ITV aren't as bad as everyone makes out when it comes to live football. Hear me out - it's not as crazy as it may first sound.
For years, I've been baffled that anyone would choose to watch ITV over BBC One if given the choice. However, as this year's World Cup has proved so far, both channels have had their fair share of gaffes and errors.
The BBC is pretty stellar when it comes to live tennis, snooker, athletics and many other sports, and Match of the Day is clearly light years ahead of ITV's The Premiership, but has ITV suddenly gained back some ground this year?
There's probably two words that you're thinking which throws out my argument: Adrian Chiles. The former BBC man has become the face of ITV football, possibly because they're stuck with him and don't know where to plonk him.

Have you heard the one about Phil Neville's World Cup commentary. I Said Have You Heard The One About Phil Neville'S World Cup Commentary!
The BBC's World Cup coverage launched in full over the weekend and despite having approximately 456 pundits flown out to Brazil, somebody, somewhere thought it was a smart idea to give Phil Neville his first big co-commentary gig in the England v Italy game.
Don't worry, Phil, there's only 15 million people watching. Nobody will notice if you get off to a shaky start. Oh, hang on.
Barely registering above a whisper, Neville sounded like he'd come straight off the set of Jamaica Inn. Throw in a staccato presentation manner, which meant that he barely broke into sentences longer than half a dozen lines long (Was he actually being really smart and speaking in Haikus?), and you've got a recipe for one the most simultaneously snooze-inducing...

Alan Hansen bid farewell to the Match of the Day studio last night as he called time on the 2013/14 Premier League season and also his own career at the BBC.
Hansen has been one of the key faces of BBC Football for 22 years, but after one more World Cup in Brazil, the former Liverpool captain will be hanging up his punditry boots for good.
He managed to turn "shocking defending" into a catchphrase and his line, "you can't win anything with kids" - referring to a Manchester United team who went on to win the double in 1995 - still haunts him to this day.
But Hansen hasn't been universally liked as a pundit for many years. From criticisms about his hefty pay packet, to his partnership on the Match of the Day panel with Alan Shearer, there are plenty of football fans who consider him a crossed-legged cliché machine and uninspiring.

Director: Ben Turner, Gabe Turner; Starring: David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes; Running time: 99 minutes; Certificate: 12A
It feels like yesterday that Alan Hansen famously wrote off Manchester United's young side at the beginning of the 1995/96 Premier League season, insisting that "you'll never win anything with kids". Yet, here we are over 18 years later, still talking about that very team, enough to warrant a much-anticipated documentary.
The Class of 92 centres around six members of that season's winning side, who rose from the ranks of United's youth team to become some of the most celebrated players in the history of the game. On paper, one may feel this would be aimed purely at Manchester United fans, but soon after the initial introductions, this clearly isn't the case.

The Class of 92 is a splendid film about six Manchester United friends living their (and our) dreams
Who knew? It is difficult to imagine a feature-length film charting the rise of six Manchester United footballers from Fa Youth Cup to Champions League winners being so laugh-out-loud funny. The Class of 92 is no comedy but it expertly and easily aces the six-guffaw test by which such movies stand or fall in the world of the Observer film critic, Mark Kermode.
Football, friendship and fame are the prevailing themes of a splendid documentary made by the film-making brothers Gabe and Ben Turner, but there is no shortage of funny either. Reunited for just one day last summer, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Phil and Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes clearly revelled in recalling their seven-year ascent through the United ranks, from put-upon first year apprentices to treble-winning kings of Europe.

Ian Wright has been appointed co-host of BBC Radio 5 live's 606 programme for the 2013/14 season.
The former Arsenal striker will present the live football phone-in show with Kelly Cates on Sundays.
Wright - who previously worked as a pundit on Match of the Day - said he was pleased to be back on the BBC.
"There will be lots to talk about and a lot of divided opinion," he said. "For me, it's all about the fans and what the fans think. I like to hear all sorts of opinions, everyone is entitled to one."
Cates - daughter of Liverpool icon Kenny Dalglish - said of Wright: "As well as having been a brilliant footballer, he's a real fan of the game."
"You don't know what somebody's going to ask," she continued, "what point somebody's going to make, which way the conversation is going to go.

Or at least that’s the view of Mirror Sport columnist Robbie Savage, who puts the prodigiously talented Welshman in a group of players including Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez and Radamel Falcao who are close to being the best in the world. He says Messi and Ronaldo are the top two, but the four others aren’t far behind.
And crucially, former Welsh team-mate Savage says Bale needs to move on to realise to full potential, even though Spurs are a “massive club with a huge fan-base [who] are going to be contenders for a Champions League place this season.”
The trouble for Savage is that Bale is a potential Champions League winner, and unfortunately for Spurs, the pinnacle of their achievements at the minute would be to qualify. With teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in there, there’s not a hope in hell of Tottenham winning the competition.

Robbie Savage has been photographed entering Michelle Mone's apartment in the early hours earlier this week. The former footballer was allegedly seen arriving with the lingerie tycoon at her home in London after a party at around 2.30am, before eventually leaving at around 6am, according to The Sun. The pair had earlier attended the Pride of Britain Awards at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday. A source had claimed: "They went in together and I saw them at the window of the first-floor flat before Michelle closed the front room curtains. "Minutes later the lights went out." However, Savage has denied the tabloid allegations, tweeting: "Can't believe the rubbish they write in the papers (more)...

Robbie Savage has declared that he rejected an offer to appear on Celebrity Big Brother. The former Welsh international footballer, currently a pundit on BBC Radio 5Live and BBC Sport, described the reality show as "desperate". "I was offered Big Brother, yeah," he told Female First.
