Jon Bon Jovi is shining more light on his recovery process since undergoing vocal cord surgery in 2022.
The Bon Jovi frontman attended a screening and Q&a for his upcoming docuseries, Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, during which he opened up about whether or not he could still sing following the surgery.
“What you saw on film was shot last March in that scene when I couldn’t sing well, or two years ago when I was on the road,” Bon Jovi said, via People. “I’m well into the recovery. I’m more than capable of singing. It’s just that for me, the bar is two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I say we’re going to go and do any shows.”
He continued, “So I’m well back on the road to recovery — not a day of it’s easy.

The Avett Brothers have announced their first new album in five years. The self-titled LP, produced by Rick Rubin, arrives on May 17th via Ramseur Records/American Recordings/Thirty Tigers. As a preview, the band has unveiled the lead single, “Love of A Girl.”
There’s a hopeful, free, careless energy to “Love of a Girl,” which capitalizes on the band’s ability to mesh their folks roots with rock elements and pop catchiness. The grounded lyrics focus on finding meaning in even the most everyday elements, like a store-bought bouquet of flowers, coffee cups, school buses, and the first introduction to heartbreak.
The forthcoming record was recorded primarily in Malibu’s Shangri-La Studios, with additional recording done in Nashville, Mar Vista, and the band’s hometown of Concord, North Carolina.

The Kansas City Chiefs new post-season promotional trailer spoofs Hallmark rom-coms — but it sneaks in multiple references to the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce romance.
The trailer, called “Falling for Football,” follows a football fan (Hallmark leading man Tyler Hynes) who meets cute with fellow Hallmark mainstay Janel Parrish.
The set-up follows a typical rom-com plot. Parrish, having been left at the altar by a football-loving fiance, has grown to hate the sport. But she falls for a guy who works in a Chiefs merchandise shop, a job he initially keeps secret, until the big reveal. “You’re not just a fan, it’s your livelihood!” she cries, giving Hynes an ultimatum. “It’s the Chiefs or me!” she demands. “I hate football!”
But thanks to some wise advise from Donna Kelce (the mom of a certain Chiefs tight end who dates a pop superstar), Parrish comes around and finds love with Hynes.

Dolly Parton isn’t done rocking yet. After sharing her new album Rockstar last week, our November cover star has returned with two new bonus tracks: Her rendition of the Eddie Money’s “Two Tickets to Paradise,” plus a new version of her classic “Jolene” featuring Måneskin.

Dolly Parton’s favorite word might be “no.”
She turned down Elvis Presley when he wanted to record her hit “I Will Always Love You” after his manager requested half of the song’s publishing rights. She initially declined her invitation to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And she forwent performing at the Super Bowl halftime show — several times.
Most artists wouldn’t pass on those golden opportunities, but this American treasure is unbothered.
“Oh, sure. I’ve been offered that many times,” Parton tells The Hollywood Reporter about the halftime show. “I couldn’t do it because of other things, or I just didn’t think I was big enough to do it — to do that big of a production. When you think about those shows, those are big, big productions. I’ve never done anything with that big of a production. I don’t know if I could have.
