Ancient Aliens is an American television series that premiered on April 20, 2010 on the History channel. Produced by Prometheus Entertainment, the program presents hypotheses of ancient astronauts and proposes that historical texts, archaeology and legends contain evidence of past human-extraterrestrial contact. The series' pilot was a TV special of the same name that aired on March 8, 2009. The second season began on October 28, 2010, and the third season began airing July 28, 2011. Season four premiered on February 17, 2012 but on H2 instead of the History channel. In June 2012, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos announced on Coast to Coast AM that the series has been renewed for a fifth season. Season 5 premiered on December 21, 2012.

Ancient Mysteries is a television series originally broadcast on A&E between 1994 and 1998 with reruns airing until 2000. Reruns were also re-broadcast on The Biography Channel during the 2000s. The series deals with historical mysteries and is mostly hosted by Leonard Nimoy (unless otherwise noted) which recalls the late-1970s TV Series "In Search Of." As of December 2011, some episodes of this series were available on Netflix instant streaming.

Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction is a television anthology series created by Lynn Lehmann, presented by Dick Clark Productions, and produced and aired by the Fox network from 1997 to 2002. The series interviews various celebrities who have witnessed paranormal events at certain points in their lives. A spin-off, The Haunting Of, features footage from this series as celebrities go back to the places of their haunted experiences and find out the truth behind the haunting. The Show features personal, first-person accounts by notable actors, musicians and models. Celebrity Ghost Stories delivers a compelling, surprising and downright chilling look into the world of the paranormal by those who believe they have experienced the other side.

The show consists of five celebrity participants who are taken to a reported haunted location during the night and left until sunrise with the task of identifying paranormal activity. Upon arrival they are given a brief history of the location as well as other background information on past ghost sightings. The celebrities are left with specialist equipment such as infrared cameras and EMF meters. Surveillance cameras are set up all around to record what happens in the building that is to be investigated.

From 1999 to 2004, Edward was the producer and host of the show Crossing Over with John Edward, which has been syndicated and was broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel in the United States and on Living TV in the UK. In Crossing Over, Edward gave readings to audience members. Readings in the show involve Edward questioning audience members with what is presented to him as information being communicated by their deceased friends and relatives. Edward receives images and clues from the Other Side which the audience must assist him in interpreting. The audience is asked not to supply Edward with any prior information about themselves, their family or whom they are trying to connect with. Audience members respond to Edward's statements and questions, adding any details they feel are appropriate. Edward also conducted private sessions away from the studio audience. The subjects of these segments later talked in greater detail about the situation that led to their reading with Edward and the effect the reading had on their lives. Periodically, segments revisit people who have previously appeared on the show.

Encounters: The Hidden Truth was an hour-long TV series that featured real-life stories of paranormal phenomena. The format featured a host (John Marshall) and a team of reporters presenting 3 or 4 stories per episode dealing with UFOs, crop circles, exorcism, prophets, psychics, reincarnation, and other supernatural phenomena, in a news/documentary style. The stories unfolded through witness interviews and reenactments of the events. The host and reporters discussed their reactions to some of the stories.

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files revolutionizes paranormal programming by uncovering the truth behind supernatural and unexplained occurrences that have been caught on camera. In each episode, the team searches for the most intriguing images, videos and unnatural phenomenon found online and around the world. Future Fantastic was a British documentary television series which premiered in 1996. This show looked at the how science and science fiction complement each other, and how ideas and technologies from the past are helping to shape our future. The series was narrated by Gillian Anderson and co-produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation, The Learning Channel and Pro Sieben.

Ghost Lab is a weekly paranormal television series that premiered on October 6, 2009, on the Discovery Channel. The program is narrated by Mike Rowe and it follows ghost-hunting brothers Brad and Barry Klinge, who founded Everyday Paranormal (EP) in October 2007. Everyday Paranormal is a paranormal investigation team whose stated mission is to "visit the most haunted places in America, find evidence, and test new theories to probe the existence of the afterlife" using a fringe-scientific approach.

Ghost Stories is a paranormal television series that premiered on October 16, 2009 on the Travel Channel. Each episode showcases stories, legends and tales of different reportedly haunted locations in the United States. The series is narrated by Jay Thomas, a television and film actor best known for his Emmy-award winning role as Jerry Gold on Murphy Brown. Each episode combines historical footage, re-enactments, and interviews with eyewitnesses and local historians to tell ghost stories from personal experiences, encounters and paranormal activity in a haunted location.
