IN SEARCH OF was a show which was ahead of it's time. A well produced show which used investigative style reporting and hosting by LEONARD NIMOY, the show catered to both naysayers and believers. Comprised of current (then) tv footage and old stock film footage, IN SEARCH OF prospered in a era in which it's subject matter found a audience. The early and mid 1970's saw a increase in NEW AGE, missing persons and bermuda triangle, paranormal and UFO interest. Documentaries flooded movie theatres and on tv. IN SEARCH OF offered as much specualtion as it did proof and sometimes lack of the later. The show and it's host fit like a glove and the concept with neither pretentious or overblown. The show did not degrade itself, but never pretended to be anymore than what it was. (fun entertainment) A syndication money maker for years (even in first run) it ran for years on tv stations across the country. A great old series which can now be seen on the history channel.
