The Dullventures of Percy Jackson
5 August 2022
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Lighting Thief is based on a novel series by Rick Riordan and the director of the film is by Chris Columbus.

The plot tells of our main character Percy Jackson (played by Logan Lerman) who has ADHD and Dyslexia and is about to discover that he is half-blood meaning he's half mortal and half god with his father Poseidon (god of the sea). His mother is being held by Hades (god of the underworld) and he tells Percy that he'll bring his mother back if he brings Zeus lighting bolt, thus his adventure starts with him and his two friends Grover Underwood (played by Brandon T. Jackson) who's a satyr and protector of Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase (played by Alexandra Daddario) who's also half-blood with her mother being Athena (goddess of wisdom).

I have to say it's a shame that the director of this film has brought us two Harry Potter movies such as Sorcerer Stone and Chamber of Secrets, because everything about this movie feels dull. That's not to say that there was some small laugh I got out of it, decent CGI and everybody did they're acting good, but they did not live up material. Fans of the book series will be disappointed by the movie not living up to its source material or having it altered, movie fans who want to watch the wide-eyed youth being tossed into a world of wonder and/or threat (like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.) would probably gain nothing from this movie, it's not the worst, but it is a dull film I wouldn't waste my time seeing it.

Re-Animated (2006 TV Movie)

Back when Cartoon Network tried Live-Action
9 March 2022
Re-Animated is a tv movie that was released on Cartoon Network in 2006, the plot tells about a kid that either everyone ignore or uses named Jimmy. One day he ends up in a accident that resulted in him getting a brain transplant from the brain of Milt Appleday the cartoon creator and because of this, Jimmy is now able to see cartoon characters come to life.

This movie stands as an example of how the movie is trying, but how it's also not trying, the reason I say this it's because the movie is trying to have all of the live-action actors acting like cartoon characters, all the while putting actual cartoon characters in the real world, but at the same time it's not trying because there's no effort put into this movie.

Overall, the characters are either annoying, boring, or cruel, and the comedy is just random.

A Sloppy Massacre
28 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The Netflix adoption of Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a direct sequel based on the original movie by Tobe Hooper and two anyone who is reading this and saying "hey, but Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013) was supposed to be a direct sequel" well not anymore according to the movie.

The plot is that it's been 50 years since the first massacre and now a group of Generation Z goes to an abandoned town to auction on a utopia town free from violence, but an old lady who owns an orphan home, not only does she refuse to leave her home, but when she dies the grown orphan boy Leather Face becomes mad and decide to kill everyone in town.

Aside from that, Sally Hardesty returns from the first except it is not the original actress who played (R. I. P Marilyn Burns), but instead Olwen Fouéré and she becomes the Laurie Strode from Halloween 2018. But unlike Halloween 2018, where Laurie was the main focus of the movie, here her character was just nothing but an afterthought.

Overall, the story is bad, the characters are either unlikable or forgettable but they all get slaughtered in the end. Leatherface feels more like Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees than being human, and bad writing, the good thing I can say about the movie is that does have good Gore.

Forrest Gump (1994)
10/10
I adore this movie
26 February 2022
Forrest Gump was directed by Robert Zemeckis and is based on the book of the same name. Tom Hanks plays Forrest Gump, who is a kind-hearted man from Alabama with a low IQ, but that doesn't stop him from accomplishing many great things in his journey, where we see him going to a college football team, a soldier in Vietnam, a pin pong champion, and the creator of the Bubba Gump shrimp.

Robin Wright plays Jenny Curran, who is Forrest's love interest but sadly she doesn't feel the same way as we see her struggle life. As much as I both feel sorry for her from her father who physically and sexually abused her as a child and hate her making poor choices I still want both of them to become a happy couple.

Gary Sinise plays Lt. Dan, he hates Forrest for saving his life from the battlefield and resulting in him from losing his legs, but after he gave him a job working on a shrimp boat and Forrest never judging him he managed to tell Forrest that he thank him.

Overall Forrest Gump is an inspirational film that has good writing with its humor and drama, tear-jerking moments, and memorable character all tied into a simple-minded but good-hearted person who becomes involved in historically significant events by chance.

High School Musical (2006 TV Movie)

A REVOLUTIONARY MUSICAL, for a 5th grader
22 February 2022
High School Musical tells a story about popular high school basketball players named Troy Bolton and the smart student girl named Gabriella Montez and how both of them got into the role of a school musical which creates a problem to the social orders of high school, there's also competition for the school musical as they're going up against Sharply Evans who is the school drama queen and her Ryan Evans who is the co-captain of the drama department and both of them want to sabotage their chances to becoming stars.

I kid you not I remember when this movie was out, it was like the biggest thing that kids back in my school years would not stop talking about it, having two sequels (with the third one being released to movie theaters), selling a hit soundtrack and few school plays based on this movie. I remember the first time I watched my thought was it was average and even to this day I still average. Mainly because I thought the plot itself was stupid, but playful way; like your not support to take it seriously. There's even a song in here about sticking with the status quo, like no high schoolers has that exact mindset.

Overall: I don't think this film aged that well, it's a cheesy high school teen drama with an okay song and weak writing, I don't hate this movie, but I just don't think it was that great for me.

Holy Bloody Nose, Batman
4 November 2021
Batman: Returns is a sequel based on the first movie Batman '89 and once again Tim Burton sits in the director's chair. The new villain of the movie is The Penguin (played by Danny DeVito) who's fooling the people to vote for him as Mayor of Gotham, along with Max Shreck (played by Christopher Walken) who's helping him and Selina Kyle (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) who's the Catwoman and her goal is to seek her revenge on the man who did her wrong.

While the set design look good, Danny Elfman once again does a great job in composing the songs, and everyone is well-acted. The film still carries its flaws, that of course being the Penguin; watching his character you can clearly tell he's a monster, but the direction wants us to feel some sympathy for him, I'm not judging DeVito about it and he can clearly preform a good job at it, but it's like taking a disgusting villain like Freddy Kruger and we're supposed to feel sympathy like Joaquin Phoenix Jokers. If you ask me I think it would have been better if the film started with him just wanting to belong to society and then the corruption of society doomed him to go bad.

Overall: If you can look pass that the film is another blank check that's giving to Tim Burton to do whatever he wants, it still has its joyful moments, if your into seeing a twisted Christmas film weather your a Batman fan or not, then this film is my personal request in seeing.

Foolish Movie
29 September 2020
Haunted Mansion is based on the famous theme park ride in Disneyland and it's also the fifth theme park based movie.

The opening plot tells us that over one hundred years ago, a wealthy landowner named Edward Gracey falls in love with a woman named Elizabeth. But when he receive a letter informing him that she rejected his love, she poison herself to death which cause him to hang himself in despair. Moving forward to the present day (of 2003) Jim Evers and his wife Sarah Evers are both realtors with two children and are being called in to the mansion to what it's supposed to be a deal of selling the house, turns into a journey of unsolving a mystery while surviving from the supernatural.

If you rode the Haunted Mansion, then you'll know that the ride has a balance of being both horror and comedy, but the movie tends to focus more of the comedy than the horror and all that is because Eddie Murphy is the main star of the film and if wondering does he deliver his funny material in the movie; I think you should know the answer to the question since his last film he did before this was "Pluto Nash". Everybody's acting was average, Terence Stamp as Ramsley sounded silly, Jennifer Tilly to me feels like a miscast to me. The only good things I can say about the movie is that it has a descent set design of the mansion and the zombies scene I did find interesting, basically because Rick Baker also helped designed the zombies. But sadly those two aren't enough for me to rate the film with an above average score.

Overall: While the film is the worst I've ever seen, it is uninspiring, not well written, and a unfunny mess that doesn't feel like it deserve the PG-13 rating. It's a shame because there is a lot of ways you can create out of the Haunted Mansion, theirs even character on the rides that his interesting story's to tell than this film.

Daredevil (2003)
6/10
Justice is Blind
14 November 2019
Daredevil is based on a Marvel comic book character, who has gotten himself blind from a chemical spill in his eye and he is now starting to discover that losing his ability to see somehow increased his other 4 senses. But when his father dies in the alley from an unknown gang, Matt Murdock avenges his father's death by becoming "The Man Without Fear" himself Daredevil.

Ben Affleck is the main protagonist of the movie and me personality while I don't think he's a good impression as Daredevil, he does do a good job as Matt Murdock, the Kingpin is played by Michael Clarke Duncan who also did a good job of his performance, Jon Favreau as Foggy is the typical comic relief, and as for Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell they were both not the right casting for their characters, I never believed that Jennifer fits perfectly for the role of Electra and Colin as Bullseye is just over the top to me.

If you watch the Theatrical version of the film you'll basically get nothing but a bland and brainless action comic book film of the early 2000s (which I give it 4/10 stars), but the Director's Cut is the one that I'm reviewing because I felt it does help with the story. I wouldn't spoil all the details of what it is, but simply put is that some of the cuts makes the film like a crime drama than the typical good versus evil. There are other cut clips in the first that are nice to see, while some of them I personally felt doesn't necessarily need to be seen on the director's cut.

Overall: Other than the cut clips that does help stand the movie up a little, there are few things of the movie I enjoyed seeing, like the blind scenes and some of the fight scenes were nice, but I still have some downside about the film such as the effect isn't all that good and at times the film tends to have its corny moment, but while the movie does has that early 2000s cliche, I still gave it a chance and I would recommend only the Director's Cut and not the Theatrical version.

Watchmen (2009)
5/10
Watchmen Without the Depth
8 November 2019
Watchmen is based on a graphic novel and it's written by the comic book legend Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbson. For 20 years, Watchmen has been going through constant development, Terry Gilliam himself who worked and failed to bring Watchmen to the big screen, claiming the novel to be unfilmable. Until Warner Bros gave the rights to Zack Snyder, after the studio became impressed with his work on 300.

The story takes place in 1985 when one of the old and crime-fighting member named "The Comedian" was murdered by an unknown killer; when another member of the team named "Rorshach" discover this, he warns them and tells them that it could be a killer who's plotting revenge against them. The remaining members of the group are Nite Owl, Silk Spectre, Dr. Manhattan, and Ozymandias.

Some of the cast did a alright job of their performance such as Jeffrey Dean Morgan as "The Comedian", Jackie Earle Haley as "Rorshach" I though the did a good betrayal of the character (even if he is edgy in this film), Patrick Wilson as "Nite Owl" was okay, and Billy Crudup as "Dr. Manhattan" which most found him boring, but to me, I felt that for the most part, it fits well to a character who's supposed to be stoic. Malin Akerman as Silk Spectre I felt her performance shallow and Matthew Goode as "Ozymandias" basically channeling his performance like Vincent Price.

The film has a dark, moody, & lofty weight to it that makes it feel unrealistic and the dialogue that is being used in the movie tends to sound like a speech rather than a conversation. The fight sequence that Snyder beings in the world of Watchmen are that not only do they know how to do kung-fu, but they also have super strength, mediocre CGI, bad aging makeup, and consent slow-motion that are being used without any epic weight that help carries the film.

Going through the whole movie (and yes I did watch the Director's Cut) I felt that the execution did not deliver the same way that the graphic novel did. I know that Snyder's plan was to make sure that the adoption stuck to the comic as possible. But even that can be the problem; because not only did Snyder represented Watchmen in this a hammy and pompous, but Snyder also doesn't get the idea of what Watchmen is about, actually bringing superheroes in the real world that has subversion and satire. So not only does the movie fail because it's inaccurate, it failed because it isolated the story of the novel and take off the depth that made the novel Watchmen so memorable back then and today.

Joker (I) (2019)
9/10
The Killing Joke (Non-Animated/Great Edition)
7 October 2019
Joker one of the greatest, psychotic and the most memorable villains of the comic book world has managed to have his own movie and this time Joaquin Phoenix who will be playing the "Clown Prince of Crime" (and not Jared Leto).

The plot tells the origin of a man named Arthur Fleck who feels disregard by everyone around him, he works as a clown who's waving a sign for store sells and entertaining kids at a children's hospital and he has a passion to become a comedian. The downside is that he lives with his sick mother in an old ratty apartment and he's been beaten up on the streets and because of this, his world slowly crumbs and starts to turn himself towards violent.

When I first heard about this movie being made, I wasn't expecting myself to become all hyped up with joy, simply because I've seen other comic book films that has the antagonist starting in the main role (such as Catwoman, Suicide Squad, and Venom) and if you seen them, than you would know that the antagonist starts as bad at first, then becomes a hero at the end. But when early reviews came in before the film came out, I decided to take my interest on it and to my surprise, I was very pleased.

Joaquin Phoenix gives an amazing performance for a character who is going downhill with his life, it makes me feel the sorrow of him because of how bad his life is treating him and that can be a dangerous thing too because with whatever emotion one person has in life and if that emotion isn't good, then that same person could go crazy because of it. So in a nutshell, not only did I feel sorry for him, but I was also feeling scared of him too. Another new thing about this Joker from previous ones is that he also has PBA (Pseudobulbar affect) which I felt that it was a great idea and interesting thing to see in this movie. The cinematography is also well done too as the movie feels more like a drama than a comic book.

Overall: Some people will either choose to have Joker with or without an origin, me personally I don't mind having both. While I can still buy the whole falling into a pool of Ace Chemical story, I can also still have an origin of how the Joker became crazy and this movie did an amazing job of it. And yes while Alan Moore was the first to tell the Joker's origin in "The Killing Joke", but I felt like the director and the writer was inspired by the novel and manage to create an origin their own while keeping the idea from the novel as well and because of it, Joker is the movie I recommend to anyone who is interested in seeing it.

Drácula (1931)
8/10
The Latino Vampire
4 October 2019
Dracula (1931) is considered to be the crowning jewel of classic horror and Bela Lugosi will always be remembered as the definitive actor who played the undead & sophisticated man who craves for blood known as Dracula. While the US audience has the English version of the film, their is a Spanish version of the film for the Latin audience.

The plot tells the same way the English version did. A man named Renfield who is travelling to Transylvania to have a business meeting with Count Dracula in his castle. The villagers try to stop him, but he refused to listen, Dracula welcomes Renfield to his castle as they discuss Dracula's intention to lease Carfax Abbey in London. After hypnotizing Renfield to become his mindless slave, they travel to London on the ship and Dracula has come to seek out fresh living blood in the streets of London.

When I first heard about this film, I literally thought it was the same Dracula movie that was translated into Spanish, but it turns out to be more than what I expected. All the cast are completely different; instead of Bela Lugosi, this time it's Carlos Villarias who plays Dracula and he did a great job of performance as he and all the casts was told after watching English version to based their performances like them, but greater. I've also find that Lupita Tovar did a great performance than Helen Chandler as Mina; although in this movie, her name is Eva. But one of my favorite actors in this movie who did a great job as Renfield is Pablo Rubio, every moment you see him on screen going crazy made me believed that he is truly a madman.

The film also has good camera works than the English version. For example; in the English version where Renfield meets Dracula the camera stay in place while following Dracula down the stairs. But the Spanish version: the camera moves up to stairs, while Dracula is standing still making the scene more dramatic. Theirs also new scene into this movie that you won't see in the English, which does help me with the one complaint I had with the English version didn't show.

Overall: When comparing both the English and Spanish versions of the film, it made me wish that Lugosi was in this movie instead. Dracula (1931) will always be a beloved classic every time I watch it, so with me being familiar with the English version, it makes the Spanish version even more fascinating, because it's like seeing the same movie in the new and different way and because of that, this movie really a treat for me and everybody to watch.

Dracula (1931)

The Legendary Dracula
3 October 2019
One of the most well-known films of the Universal Horror, the epitome of classic horror, and the definition icon of the popular vampire, Dracula

The plot tells that a man named Renfield who is traveling to Transylvania to have a business meeting with Count Dracula in his castle. The villagers try to stop him, but he refused to listen, Dracula welcomes Renfield to the castle as they discuss Dracula's intention to lease Carfax Abbey in London. After hypnotizing Renfield to become his mindless slave, they travel to London on the ship and now Dracula has come to seek out fresh living blood in the streets of London.

While it not the very first Dracula film in the theater (if anyone is familiar with either Dracula's Death 1921 & Nosferatu); but it is the first film to gain popularity from the public and main actor himself Bela Lugosi who started the folklore of the character that will become the best Dracula of all time, Lugosi has that evil presence whenever he starts to stare at you, giving you both a chill and terror that made him steal the show whenever he's on-screen. Dwight Frye as Renfield is also gives a good performance as Dracula's slave. The movie also has a slow and creepy dreamlike atmosphere to it; since this was the first sound horror movie, they didn't add any music to the film (not counting the opening) and because of that, when there's no dialogue in the scene, theirs hardly any audio to it, but that does help to add to the creepy atmosphere which makes this film the definitive chiller and the best Dracula movie.

There are only two downsides that I can give to the movie that is personally my opinion. The first one is that the actress Helen Chandler playing as Mina Seward, I felt like her performance was stiff and the second downside is that while Lucy has become a vampire as it being read and told from a newspaper, her character is now gone from the film and never explained what happened to her, because in the book, Van Helsing was suppose to drive a wooden stake to her heart to free her soul.

Overall: Dracula is a wonderful classic with its good writing, good performance (especially with Bela Lugosi) great atmosphere that makes this movie a beloved classic by all horror fans including myself.

Dick Tracy (1990)
6/10
Film Noir, but with Color
24 September 2019
Dick Tracy is based on the comic strip of the 1930's and both the director & the main character who plays yellow trench coat detective is Warren Beatty.

The story tells that Tracy is a hard-boiled detective and his goal is to take down the massive crime of the city and his arch-nemesis named Big Boy wants to take out Tracy, Tracy then comes across a kid simply named... Kid, an attractive singer named Breathless Mahoney, and all sorts of weird and colorful characters, such as Flat Top, Babyface, the Blank & they want to take Tracy out.

The story is pretty basic with the good guy going against the bad guy, kid sidekick, femme fatale and all the stuff you've seen in the classic film noir. But you're expecting any well-done execution from our characters, then you may want to look past this; everybody has that one personality and doesn't add much to it, Tracy is the tough cop and that's it, Breathless Mahoney is the attractive hot singer and that's it, and the wisecracking kid is just a wisecracking kid and I hope you understand where I'm going with this, the only actor that's given good performances with his character is Al Piceno. The only thing I do have fun seeing from the movie is that it has a colorful visual style and how the makeup effect looks cool and that it.

Overall: While the movie can impress you with its art style and makeup, the story isn't interesting and the characters look like their distinct but never act like their district, if you just want to see the movie because of its style and you enjoy seeing the standard trench coat cop fighting bad guys, than you be glad you saw it, but if not, then their's no shame to skip this movie.

My favorite Star Wars movie of all time
24 September 2019
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is a sequel based on Star Wars: The New Hope and many people say that this film is known to be one of the best Star Wars sequel and one of the best of the Star Wars Trilogy.

The plot tells that Rebels are hiding from the Empires and once again their leader is Darth Vader, meanwhile Obi-Wan tells Luke to find a Jedi Master named Yoda and he will teach Luke how to become strong with force. When the Empires finds the Rebels, they attack the base and Luke is now separate from Han & Leia as they both hide and run from the Empire.

As I mention, many people calls this movie one of best Star Wars sequels and one of the best Star Wars trilogy of all time and understandable why it is. A side from have great effects, music score, and the greatest plot twist that no one saw it coming; it has good drama that is portraying well to our characters, a romance connection between Han & Leia, Luke trying to understand how the force works which does help built more to understand of how it works to those who are become a Jedi, and as for Darth Vader was started as a cool bad guy, it's this movie that turns him into one of the greatest villains of all time. He can be both patient & intelligent and both powerful & merciless killer and it fits perfectly on why we should both love & be afraid of this character all in once.

Overall: It's a well done sequel, that is well pacing and focus and that's why this movie is my all time favorite Star Wars film

A classic sci-fi movie loved by all
23 September 2019
Star Wars is arguably the most beloved film for many generations to come and it's because of this movie to help turn it into a franchise.

The story is about an evil empire that has taken over the galaxy along with their leader named Darth Vader and wants to finish off the Rebellion and one of the rebel spy named Princess Leia not only has the plans to destroy the empire newest weapon known as the Death Star, but she hides the plans in her two droids named R2D2 & C3PO. They soon come across to meet a farm boy named Luke Skywalker and they also come across to meet an old & wise man named Obi-Wan. When they discovered that the Princess is in danger, they go and find a pilot named Han Solo & his a companion named Chewbacca and go rescue her while destroying the Death Star before it's too late.

While the plot uses the same storytelling about the main character started from a no-one to a hero, the execution is really what makes the film shine. With good memorable and relatable characters, an epic battle scene, great effects, memorable songs, and good performances.

It goes without saying how much we praise this movie so many times, going into this movie for the first time and you can clearly see why it's fun to watch and analyze it.

How the cartoon is superior than the live action version
1 September 2019
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is based on both the book and the short cartoon under the same name, by the author named Dr Seuss. Now If anyone who either read the book or watch the cartoon you'll know that both of them are completely under 1 hour, you can easily go through the story from beginning to the end around under 30 minutes, But how can an hour and 44 minute film do both the book and cartoon justice? (Spoiler: It doesn't)

The jokes are both unfunny and awkward, the town known as Whoville looks cloudy and feels like the colors are muted almost if the camera lens has been wiped down by vaseline, the Whos looks weird and are competitive about Christmas and while the rest of the characters are uninteresting; Jim Carrey I can give him some credit for adding energy while wearing green latex, but for performance he's annoying.

Overall I felt the movie was disimproving not only the book, but to the cartoon also, it felt unnecessary to add extra time to a simple short story that didn't have to be shown on a silver screen and that's why I consider the cartoon to be better.

Goosebumps for Adult
25 August 2019
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is based on a book Alvin Schwartz and illustrated by Stephen Gammell. In this adoption; the plot tells a group of teens in the late 60's on Halloween, visiting an abandoned house were they come across a book written by a little girl and the stories themselves become real.

The director of this film is done by Andre Ovredal and he's good at building tension like the one scene in a crow field with Harold the Scarecrow for example. The creatures from the book and has been brought to the big screen has been well faithful and a lot of practical makeup are impressive to watch and even when there's CGI being used in this movie, it can blends well. And while the story is like Goosebumps, it still try to be it's own thing and I enjoyed it.

The downside I have about the film is that while the cast did good job of performance, the character had little to no develop in this movie, some lines are cheesy and while the CGI can blend well for the creatures, that doesn't mean it's anything groundbreaking.

Overall I still enjoyed the movie, it was faithful from the book, the performances was good, it was well shot, and the tension scene was palpable.

Spider-Man's Next Stop
16 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Spider-Man: Far From Home not takes place after Avengers: Endgame, but it's also the final film to close Phase 3 of the MCU.

Peter Parker take a school field trip across Europe to not only to share his feelings to MJ, but he wants to take a break from hero work after being distraught from Tony Stark's death. But Parker's vacation gets hi jacked by Nick Fury and Maria Hill and he tells Peter to help them to fight against the Elementals and along side Peter is Mysterio who is from an alternate universe.

Far From Home is the Spider-Man sequel I enjoyed the most, all the cast did a good job of performance, especially from Jack Gyllenhaal playing the obvious villain and I also enjoyed seeing Peter journey his path from teenage superhero to Tony's new successor; the action is great (my favorite was Mysterio doing the Illusion on Spider-Man), the effects were great, good humor and it was well placing.

Mind Bogglingly Insane (not in a fun or scary way)
29 April 2019
Many people have a debate weather or not the Blair Witch Project was a masterpiece, but regardless of what people thoughts was on the first film, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 is were everyone can agree it's horrible.

A group of five exploring members goes into the same location of were the first film took place to document the supernatural as they believe the Blair Witch Project holds something true in real life.

There's a lot of problems that is going on into the movie. a side with the other problems the film has like laughable characters, bizarre editing, ridiculous visuals, the biggest problem with the movie is that the uncountable amount of story goes nowhere and not one of them are explain.

Not only is it amazing that film doesn't follow any continuity of the first film, but if it was a stand alone film, it would never holds up.

My favorite MCU movie of all time
28 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
For the past 11 years The Infinity Saga has closed its chapter with the Avengers: Endgame. After following the continuity of Avengers: Infinity War, our heroes comes once again to avenge both the previous characters who turned to dust and the other half of the universe who also turned to dust.

Before going into this movie I was curious of why the movie was 3 hours long and answers are told literally in the first act of the film. After the Avengers discovered that Thanos destroyed the Infinity Stones, five years later we see what our characters are going through with they're loss, especially Hawkeye.

As the film continue with the story, the final act of the movie is really indescribable. After the heroes managed to gather all the Infinity Stones and snapped everybody back alive, the final battle shows Thanos, his army and the Black Order going up against every Avengers team that are in this movie (except for the X-Men & Fantastic Four) and it really does feels like a ultimate fan service that had an amazing execution.

For 11 years, it has been an adventure going into the MCU movies before the Infinity War and the Endgame. We've seen a lot of comic book movie starting with our main hero before we can get the chance of seeing them team up with the other Avengers because we want to feel and relate to these heroes before asking why should we care about the situation they're going through to save the world. So if your like me or everyone who's been following the MCU movies since day one, you will not be disappointed going into this movie.

Beware of ourselves
25 March 2019
Jordan Peele is becoming more than a man with comedy talent, he is now a man with horror talent thanks to two of his amazing films such as Get Out and Us.

The story follows a family of four on a vacation and while on their vacation, they come across an evil family who looks like themselves. The movie at first start as a home invasion movie, then it goes into a slasher movie, then it goes into a horror chase movie and as the plot progresses, it evolves something bigger than you could have imagined.

I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to the end. The cast did a great performance, the writing is well done, and the plot twist from the end of the movie is surprising. As horror fan myself, Jordan Peele has once again surprise me with this movie and I would recommend everyone on watching this movie and even get the movie with it comes out on blu-ray.

They Won't Stay Dead
24 March 2019
While most people will mistaking this movie for being the very first zombie film. Night of the Living Dead was basically the first to start a genre of zombie film.

Writing and directed by George A. Romero, the film starts with Barbara and her brother Johnny pays their last respect at a cemetery, until one of the undead comes out of nowhere and kills Johnny. She runs into the abandoned house and eventually meets up with Ben who too chose to hide in the house and other members who were hiding in the cellar.

Going into the movie from beginning to end the film has a character piece of how does one and the others go through the whole night of surviving the zombie apocalypse and that's one of things I like about this movie and other zombie movies and shows like The Walking Dead. With a good tone and writing Night of the Living Dead still holds up to be an icon classic.

Sho Nuff!
8 February 2019
A martial artist named Leroy Green (or Bruce Leroy, whatever you want to call him) dreams of being the greatest martial artist, just like his idol Bruce Lee. Leroy manage to reach the final level of martial art and his master tells him to find the mystical energy known as "The Glow" in the streets of Harlem in New York City.

While the story is written well and the action is good; the film does has some corny character and cheesy scenes, but maybe that what was the film is suppose to be, so therefore the comedy does help with what the movie is suppose to be. It's not a film that should be taken seriously, but it's still an enjoyable film that I would recommend watching.

Soulless
12 January 2019
This movie not only tells origin story of how the Scooby gang comes together, but it was original aired on Cartoon Network. (Because combining live action with a cartoon channel sounds great, right?)

Theirs nothing great or how terrible the film is other than dull writing, it's bad, but in a soulless way and such it is a kids film, but that doesn't mean kids can't deserve to watch a good children movie or great cartoon. (Seriously who thought of putting life action shows on Cartoon Network)

My favorite Spider-Man movie of all time
19 December 2018
Out of every Spider-Man movie I've seen, this movie is the most satisfying Spider-Man film I've ever watched. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse not only tells the story about Miles Morales becoming Spider-Man, but a machine that has the ability to open the multiverse that holds many Spider-People such as Spider-Gwen, Noir Spider-Man, Spider-Pig, etc.

While the story is both great and fun, the film also has heart added to the film which is great because you really get attach to the character especially Miles who I really feel for throughout the movie. The animation is really like a comic book is coming to life, not only does the animation helps the action sequence looks so awesome, but each Spider-Character has their own animation style that looks good.

With Sony co-owning the Spider-Man rights, along with the MCU, I can see the possibility of this movie having a sequel, they don't need to retell the same story of Peter Parker becoming Spider-Man many times, they can open up the world that is full of Spider-People such as Spider-Man 2099, Scarlet Spider-Man, Cosmic Spider-Man, Spider Carnage, and more.
