Take another look @ DC Comics' 'Starfire' from"Injustice 2" as the super-powered female alien, motivated to action by the death of 'Dick Grayson', aka 'Nightwing', shows off her deadly energy beams, celestial projectiles and a whole lot more:
'Starfire', aka 'Koriand'r, debuted in "DC Comics Presents" #26 (October 1980), created by writer Marv Wolfman and illustrator George Pérez, as an alien 'Tamaranean', with a physiology designed to absorb ultraviolet radiation, that allows her to fly at supersonic speeds.
This energy also provides her with superhuman strength and durability. She also has the ability to release her absorbed energy into powerful blasts.
Starfire is also proficient in hand-to-hand combat, trained by the 'Warlords of Okaara'. She also doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep and doesn't require an atmosphere to breathe.
All Tamaraneans assimilate languages through physical contact.

The music video for "Despacito" is not just the all-time most-viewed clip in YouTube history and the first upload to ever reach three billion views; it's also the official "song of the summer." According to YouTube data, Luis Fonsi's Latin megahit drew more viewership between Memorial Day and Labor Day than any other music video on the site.
"Despacito" was driven by its own infectious rhythms as well as the rising popularity of Latin music on YouTube. The video site split its "song of the summer" data into global and domestic divisions, and on the former list, which was shared by Billboard and others, 15 of the top 25 most-viewed music videos come from Latin America. Among Us viewers, "Despacito" was one of the only songs from that region to reach the top 25, but it held on to the top spot, ahead of Top 40 staples like Bruno Mars' "That's What...

The final launch trailer for Injustice 2 has arrived looking suitably epic. The sequel developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by WB Games continues the story that began in Injustice: Gods Among Us (2013).
Set within a fractured universe where bonds are broken and alliances thrown into war, Batman and his allies attempt to repair society, but comes up against those who would restore Superman’s regime. However, in the midst of this chaos a new threat appears putting Earth’s very existence at risk.
Injustice 2 features dozens of playable DC characters each with their own unique play style and roster of special moves. Players will also have the ability to personalise characters with powerful gear earned throughout the game.
Injustice 2 smashes onto Playstation4 and Xbox One 19th May.

I have no doubt that this is a marketing ploy by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau for season 7 of Game of Thrones, but because it’s Game of Thrones you know that everyone under the sun is going to take this quote and basically rip the internet apart for clues. Recently the actor was interviewed for The Observer and he made a stunning admission. He said that all of the biggest spoilers for the upcoming season are already out there. According to Nz Herald “If you go online you can definitely read every plot point that’s going to happen,” he told the publication.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Daniel. For those unfamiliar with New York City’s Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival, can you discuss how this year’s events will honor the late, great author Philip K. Dick?

The Shattered Alliances trailers continue to roll in and it's starting to get a little hairy! Gorilla Grodd is forming a new alliance in the 4th trailer, called the Society! Check it out below!
First, we got to witness how Superman has become the world's greatest threat. Then, Batman began forming a new alliance of heroes. Last week, Supergirl became the new face of hope for humanity. Finally, today we see Grodd forming an alliance of villains in the upcoming WB sequel, Injustice 2!
Superman's fall from grace really seems to have caused a power struggle between the forces of good and evil. That seems to be the major theme within each of these story trailers. Personally, I love them. It makes the well-done story mode in Injustice: Gods Among Us seem small-time by comparison.
We'll see where the chips fall when Injustice 2 finally makes its debut on May 16, 2017!

The second of the 2-part Shattered Alliances trailer for Injustice 2 is out! Find out what's happened to Superman and who Batman brings in to his inner circle!
In the first part of the Shattered Alliances trailer showed the fall of the World's Greatest Hero, Superman. DC, Warner Bros. Interactive, and NetherRealm Studios continue the Injustice 2 story with Superman now in prison and Batman beginning to recruit new allies in Shattered Alliances - Part 2.
Injustice: Gods Among Us was highly touted for having intense, fun combat, along with a compelling storyline. So far, it doesn't look like NetherRealm has strayed far away from that recipe with Injustice 2. The introduction of Green Arrow, Robin, Green Lantern, Doctor Fate, and the glimpses of other well-known characters, like Grodd's army, give the idea that Injustice 2 could surpass what Gods Among Us accomplished.
We'll find out when Injustice 2 arrives on May 16, 2017!

The roster for Injustice 2 just keeps getting bigger and more awesome. And now the armored spell caster Doctor Fate is joining the fight.
So far we have 23 characters confirmed for Injustice 2 but now here comes a new challenger, I know that’s a Street Fighter thing but work with me here. So we still have over two months for them to reveal more characters and the first game had 36 of them. I do love the look of Fate’s fighting style and think it fits the character. So who else do you want to see in Injustice 2 because I’m hoping this roster dwarfs the old one. I’m not seeing Lobo here people, let’s get on that. Injustice 2 releases for PS4 and Xbox May 16th 2017.

The World's Greatest Boy Scout has fallen from grace and now we see why in the latest trailer for Injustice 2! Watch it below!
Injustice: Gods Among Us wowed the gaming world with their incredible balance of story-telling within the fighting game genre. Injustice 2 will be much of the same, as the latest story trailer shows how Superman and his crew become the greatest threat to mankind.
As you can see, the symbol for the house of El is beginning to represent fear, not hope. It's going to take a whole lot of kryptonite to take him down too. Especially seeing as he just ripped through those kryptonite cuffs like they were nothing.
Injustice 2 is being developed by NetherRealm Studios and will feature a cavalcade of DC Superheroes and Supervillains that will become increasingly harder to fight with each loss to them. This new method of fighting makes every fight a must-win bout.

It’s quite pleasing to see that the legacy of legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby lives on. In addition to DC’s in progress maxiseries, The Kamandi Challenge, and Greater Creators devoting an episode of their web series to “The King,” Idw has partnered with Marvel in order to bring yet another special reprinting to consumers in the form of Jack Kirby’s Fantastic Four World’s Greatest Artist’s Edition.
Despite them unfortunately not currently having a place in the Marvel Universe (the finer points of Disney and Fox not getting along is a discussion for another day), it’s important to realize none of what we have today would’ve existed without the publisher’s “First Family.” In short, Kirby and Stan Lee’s enduring classic revolutionized an industry as a whole, a notion thankfully not lost on Marvel Svp Sales & Marketing, David Gabriel:

With the release of the video game Injustice 2 being right around the corner, it comes as no surprise that DC is rolling out a prequel comic series to coincide. And knowing how wildly popular anything having to due with this franchise is, you’ll definitely want to take note of what we’ve learned today.
Usually, tie-in comics can go either way when it comes to quality and sales. But when the books serving as lead-ins to the first game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, proved to be highly successful, they ended up completely detailing the five years preceding the events of the console experience. Given that, it still came as a surprise that the follow-up will do something very similar.

When Injustice: Gods Among Us arrived on the scene several years ago, it not only astonished video game lovers with its Mortal Kombat inspired gameplay that came courtesy of NetherRealm Studios, but it also provided a fresh alternative to the usual Justice League stories one would expect to find in comics.
What perhaps nobody foresaw was the tie-in series set five years before the events of the first game being received so well that it spawned four follow-ups that completely filled in the blanks, and now said first game is currently receiving an adaptation of its own told from Harley Quinn’s point of view in the form of Injustice: Ground Zero. But, if you’re looking for a true breath of fresh air, you won’t want to miss the upcoming Injustice 2 series.

Saviour or monster? Guardian or vigilante? These are just some of the questions raised in the inspired story trailer for Injustice 2, NetherRealm’s superhero brawler pegged for release in May.
Entitled “The Lines are Redrawn,” the video showcases the fallout from Gods Among Us, when a grief-crazed Superman brought society to its knees. Leave it to the Caped Crusader, then, to restore some semblance of order to the world. Standing in his way are those costumed heroes who swore allegiance to the Man of Steel and his tyrannical regime in the first place, which essentially opens up a power vacuum for the interstellar nightmare known to you, I and the DC faithful as Brainiac. You’ll be able to get a glimpse of the iconic big bad in action via the trailer above, which also confirms that Darkseid – arguably one of the biggest villains in the DC vault – will be...

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have released a brand new trailer for Injustice 2, putting the focus on the story in the sequel as well as showing off some of the new characters joining the fight. Come inside to check it out!
If you've been anxious to see more of the upcoming fighting game, Injustice 2, today brings about a pretty glorious looking story trailer for fans to enjoy. Considering how things wrapped up in the previous game in terms of the story, I was curious to see what would bring everyone to blows this time around:
Frankly...I'm still not sure why they're fighting each other this time around, aside from the idea that this is still taking place in an altrernate world. Either way, it looks super impressive, and having Brainiac around to pull the strings this time opens up some fun ideas.

After a tease by NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon on Friday, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced when Injustice 2 will launch, revealing that the highly-anticipated sequel will land on May 16, 2017.
Ed Boon, a notorious showman, originally posted the Tweet seen below on Friday.

To most eyes, it seemingly confirmed the May 16 launch date for the sequel. However, if you’ve followed Boon during the production of past NetherRealm Studios’ projects, sometimes things are not as obvious as they appear. Thankfully, Warner Bros. PR quickly came out and confirmed the date.
The follow-up to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, Injustice 2 was originally announced just prior to E3 2016. While the sequel will retain many of the same gameplay concepts from its predecessor, the title does bring some new features to the game. Start your countdown clocks because we finally have a confirmed release date! Just moments ago, NetherRealm Studios' creative director Ed Boon officially announced on his personal Twitter account that Injustice 2 will arrive in stores for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017, just in time for summer. The game, which is a sequel to their 2013 smash hit Injustice: Gods Among Us, is expected to continue the original game's story as Batman and his team of superheroes attempt to piece together society while once again coming into conflict with those that want to restore Superman's evil regime. Meanwhile, a major new threat rises and puts Earth's future in imminent danger. The new roster of heroes will feature DC mainstays, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Aquaman while also introducing a plethora of other DC favorites like Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot. “The boat can leave now. Tell the crew.” With these words, a horror classic was born. Zombie (1979) was the first Lucio Fulci film that assaulted my eyeballs, And it was the first zombie flick I ever saw. Heady stuff for a quivering ten-year-old, but it proved to be the perfect gateway to the splattery splendors of Italian terror, a door that will forever remain ajar.
Let me be as straightforward as I can: if you’re a fan of Fulci but haven’t caught this yet, you can forget about the surrealism of The Beyond (1981) or the Lovecraftian flourishes of City of the Living Dead (1980). This is Fulci driving a simple narrative right through the hearts of horror lovers everywhere, coming out the back bloodied and unbound, unapologetic in its mission statement to horrify and repulse. Mission accomplished.

Power Rangers teaming up with the Justice League? That would never happen in my wildest dreams....right? Guess we'll have to file that thought under things I would have said yesterday.
Well it looks like Boom Studios and DC Comics will be teaming up to combine the Justice League and the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team. Scheduled for January of 2016 these two teams will unite for a six issue mini series written by Tom Taylor (Injustice: Gods Among Us, Superior Iron Man) and drawn by Stephen Byrne (Green Arrow, Serenity). As the story will go a teleporter accident transports our Black Ranger Zack to an alternate world where the DC heroes reside.
No more of the story has been revealed but you know how these stories go, misunderstanding between heroes, fight begins, common threat forces them to team up for the greater good. But hey would you care if...

Adam Smith’s debut film could be an evocative slice of life about Irish travellers in the west country – in fact it’s an indulgent, arm’s-length muddle that fails to convince you its leading men are sympathetic
The suspension of disbelief is key to watching films, but at some point you have to have to put your foot down. No one as beautiful as Michael Fassbender would be living in such squalor.

Injustice 2 the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us still has yet to give us a release date but they have these great character profiles to keep our interest. So adding to the already the already impressive roster coming off the Suicide Squad movie are Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Check out the trailer below.
So now we have confirmed for the game.
Batman
Aquaman
Atrocitus
Black Manta
Blue Beetle
Deadshot
Flash
Gorilla Grodd
Harley Quinn
Supergirl
Superman
Wonder Woman
Now we don’t know what the overall story is going to be except that society is trying to be rebuilt when a new threat rears its head. With a team that worked on the original Mortal Kombat the previous game was a huge hit and the sequel looks promising.

One of the great things about creating a shared universe is the fact that DC and Marvel can now mix and match their villains. While Marvel has done a stellar job of somehow keeping many of their villains cleanly consolidated within each of their respective superhero films, DC seems like they're okay with mixing in matching. Take Batman v Superman for instance. Yes, Superman was in the film, but Batman took a decidedly more central role -- so much so that it almost felt like Lex Luthor was more of a villain to Batman than he was to Superman. In a roundabout way, I'm saying the DC world doesn't seem to concerned with keeping their own villains closed off from interacting with other superheroes.

It wasn't too long ago that the idea of a Man Of Steel 2 wouldn't be a big surprise. In fact, if you'll recall, that was the idea filmmaker Zack Snyder was actively pursuing after the first Man Of Steel was released. We now know that one thing led to another, and eventually, fans were instead treated to the divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, a movie that brought together the trinity that is Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
Many joked that Superman got usurped from his own sequel, and some even lamented that Superman would likely never get another standalone film in the DC Extended Universe. To their credit, Warner Bros. announced a hefty slate of film back in October 2014 that consisted of nine films through 2020, and not one of them was slated as a Man Of Steel sequel. However, if a new report from TheWrap is to be believed,...

It’s Monday morning and the numbers are in: Suicide Squad dominated its opening weekend. The film did especially well with women. Almost as if ladies have been waiting for a female superhero/antihero character to be given top billing. Yes, Will Smith’s Deadshot is the main character of Suicide Squad, but you’d never know it from the Harley Quinn-centric trailers. Margot Robbie’s performance was one the film’s highlights for me. The actress was committed to showing Harley as a complex, damaged human being. It’s not her fault the script was written in six weeks and therefore both incoherent and gave Harley absolutely nothing in the way of a character arc. I thoroughly believe that in more capable hands, a Harley Quinn solo film could be fantastic and poignant. Warning: Suicide Squad Spoilers Beyond This Point. There are hints of Harley’s ongoing tragic entanglement with her abusive boyfriend,...

Tara Strong has become synonymous with Harley Quinn in recent years, voicing the character in everything from the Arkham video games to Injustice: Gods Among Us, Lego Dimensions, and even Arrow! At Comic-Con this weekend, the actress actually suited up as Harley, and it's fair to say that she could give Suicide Squad's big sceen version - played by Margot Robbie - a real run for her money! Strong has dressed up as Harley before of course, but here she's wearing the costume from Batman: Arkham Knight. It's a great look, and one which would clearly work in live-action based on these photos. The actress was in San Diego to promote the release of Batman: The Killing Joke (in which she voices Batgirl), and you can read our spoiler-filled breakdown of that movie by clicking here. Wonder Woman, Gorilla Grodd and Blue Beetle battle it out in the new trailer for Injustice 2, the sequel to Gods Among Us...
Warner Bros' 2013 game Injustice: Gods Among Us proved to be a sizeable hit, which isn't a huge surprise when you consider how it mashed two bastions of pop culture - DC Comics and Mortal Kombat - together, and added an intriguing story to the mix as well. (If you're unfamiliar, it saw Superman adopting the position of an evil despot after the Joker killed Lois Lane, with Batman leading the charge against him.)
It's also not a big shock that, in 2017, a sequel to Gods Among Us will hit shop shelves and digital retailers. It's going by the streamlined title Injustice 2, and a new trailer was released at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday.
Here it is, featuring Wonder Woman, Gorilla Grodd and Blue Beetle...

It would be an understatement to say WB Games and NetherRealm struck gold with the first Injustice: Gods Among Us game. At Injustice 2's Sdcc panel, NetherRealm's Ed Boon cited a desire to work on something a little less brutal than Mortal Kombat as the genesis of the entire project, "At some point we really wanted to do a fighting game that didn't involve cutting people's heads off and doing weird things to them." For the sequel, the development team took the game in a different direction, introducing upgradeable armor and gear that will affect the abilities and stats of your selected character. While disusing these features, it was also revealed that Wonder Woman would be returning along with the Jaime Reyes version of Blue Beetle. Check out the first look at Beetle' armor and Wonder Woman's redesign below. For more hints as to who's next in line to join the roster,...

NetherRealm Studios will be trading skeletal spectres, wise-cracking film stars and bicycle kicks for eye lasers, Batarangs and heavily-armored superheroes come 2017 with Injustice 2, but the characters themselves aren’t the only feature that the developer wants to make bigger and better in every conceivable way over what’s come before.
Speaking to IGN in an interview (via VideoGamer), NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon told the site that one of the main aims of the sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us is to “support it for a longer period of time”, continuing to state that with each new beat ’em up that the studio has released, they’ve tried “to do more and more” in regards to additional content.
