Growing up I remember being told that anime was just a "phase" that we'd all get over. Rappers like Cochise prove that's not the case, making his love for anime known to anyone who listens to his music. "I’m a rapper out of Florida who loves to rap about cool things I experience in life, which makes anime so strong in my music," Cochise said in our interview and boy, did he mean it when he said the anime influence was strong . It seems like the only way for Mangaka Sui Ishida, after working on his superhit manga series Tokyo Ghoul, is up and waaay above others’ expectations, considering how his most recent work is gaining the same acclamation. In fact, after Ken Kaneki’s blockbuster saga from the early 2010s, fans are all set to explore this new work of the mangaka fairly soon.
Sui Ishida’s Tokyo Ghoul.
This comes after the results of the MyAnimeList poll came out for the top 20 manga series that readers most desperately wish to see adapted into animation. When I first listened to Tk from Ling tosite sigure , it was through Tokyo Ghoul ’s Op, “unravel.” I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this was many anime fans’ first exposure to the singer because it’s truly iconic. You hear him sing in that high-pitched voice of his, “Oshiete yo, oshiete yo,” the instrumentals kick in, and then you get goosebumps. I’ve said this about many other anime songs, but this one ends up on my karaoke list if I’m feeling brave or want to damage my vocal cords. Tk, or Toru Kitajima, is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from the band Ling tosite sigure. He started releasing music as a soloist in 2011, and since then, he has left a major mark in the anime scene. His music style is an acquired taste for some, but for me who’s an emo at heart,...

Tk from Ling tosite sigure has quite the legacy of music through his band and solo projects, but you probably know him because he is responsible for one of the most iconic anime OPs of all time: the incomparable "unravel" from Tokyo Ghoul . Tk from Ling tosite sigure left such a mark on anime that his return with Chainsaw Man 's eighth Ed "first death" caused quite the stir amongst fans. Here, Tk from Ling tosite sigure talks about his experiences as a solo artist and being in a band, he shares his thoughts on expressing yourself through art, and more. Can you start by introducing yourself? Tk: My name is Tk. I'm the guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the three-piece band, Ling tosite sigure. For my solo projects, I use the name "Tk from Ling tosite sigure." What is the difference in music style for Ling tosite sigure and Tk from Ling tosite sigure?...

Fans always like crossovers, which – whether they are official or fan-made – show us a hypothetical scenario in which our favorite characters meet our other favorite characters they would usually not meet. And while in-universe crossovers are not that uncommon, inter-universe crossovers rarely happen officially, but fans are often there to create a great crossover event that other fans can enjoy. One such recent event happened when YouTube user 牙牙的包裹 (Xiaozhangdeaoliao) combined two fights from the most recent season of Jujutsu Kaisen with some scenes from the Naruto series, creating a very believable crossover fight which we are going to show you here.
Of course, this is just a fan-made video, as there is really no chance of an official crossover between Akutami’s and Kishimoto’s series, not because the two authors would be against it, but because their universes are completely different and a crossover wouldn’t really make much sense.

The last decade saw anime becoming mainstream, with several popular anime reaching the heights of popularity. One of the anime present during the industry becoming mainstream was Tokyo Ghoul. Tokyo Ghoul becomes a fan-favorite anime after airing season one. The anime was adapted from Sui Ishida’s magnum opus of the same name. But it could not maintain the good name for long.
There were several problems surrounding the anime, and it failed to live up to its hype. The plot changed after a couple of seasons, but the anime failed to depict the entire story. Ken Kaneki’s journey had the fans excited in the initial stage, but it soon turned out to be disappointing. Fans believe a reboot should happen after it should follow Fullmetal Alchemist’s path.

A remake of Tokyo Ghoul anime is something that fans of the series have been clamouring for ever since Studio Pierrot dropped stinkers – the final two seasons that were overly rushed. And thanks to a new info that has surfaced online, the buzz surrounding Tokyo Ghoul anime getting the Brotherhood treatment has reached an all time high.
This buzz was fuelled by a tweet put out by Manga Mogura mentioning that a new 10th anniversary web domain was registered under the series.
While there has been no official confirmation from the studio regarding the anime project, fans are already speculating on the possibility of a Tokyo Ghoul revival anime, with many expressing their desire for a Brotherhood treatment that would faithfully adapt the source manga.
Some fans argue that a complete reboot might be too soon, considering the last anime season aired in 2018.

This Halloween season, you may turn to the classics like “A Nightmare on Elm Street” or even “Hocus Pocus.”
But if your desire is to be scared, startled or completely spooked out, we present some horror anime options. Anime can take thrills, twists and gore to a level that live-action can’t.
Adding to all the witches, ghosts, killer pumpkins and vampires — yes, this list includes vampires — there’s also kid-sized crimefighting detectives, demon slayers and some man-eating giants.
Here’s a list of 13 anime series and films you should check out this spooky season.

Jujutsu Kaisen is an awesome anime that started in 2020. It’s really good and has everything that makes a series great. It has cool action scenes, beautiful art, nice characters, good music, and well-done fight scenes. If you’re a big anime fan, you’ll like it a lot.
The story is about Yuji Itadori, a normal guy whose grandpa is sick. He’s kind of like a typical hero in other anime. Yuji eats a cursed finger, not knowing it’s dangerous. This finger has the spirit of a super strong demon, Sukuna, from long ago. Sukuna takes control of Yuji’s body, but Yuji doesn’t die, which is rare.
A powerful sorcerer named Gojo Satoru helps Yuji. He says there are 20 cursed fingers of Sukuna. Yuji can either eat the other 19 fingers to kill Sukuna or die right away.
Yuji chooses to eat the fingers. Sadly, his grandpa dies.

Chainsaw Man is a really popular manga series made by Tatsuki Fujimoto. Now, it’s been turned into an anime show too. The story is about a young guy named Denji.
He joins together with a chainsaw demon and becomes a hunter of devils. This anime is famous because it’s got lots of fast action, jokes that are a bit dark, and pictures of things that are really violent.
If you really like Chainsaw Man and want more anime shows like it with lots of blood, action, and dark jokes, you’re in luck.
You might really enjoy other anime shows like Attack on Titan, Tokyo Ghoul, and Deadman Wonderland.
These anime shows have characters that are really interesting and stories that are great. They’re just as exciting as Chainsaw Man.

This article contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 part 1.
Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen has been a breakout hit ever since its debut in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2018. In only five years, Jujutsu Kaisen’s manga has sold more than 80 million copies and is currently the 27th-best-selling manga of all-time.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s anime adaptation has proven to be just as popular, with its first season winning several awards, ranking at the top of many lists, and even becoming 2021’s second most discussed TV show on Twitter, anime or otherwise. Not to be outdone, the anime’s first feature film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, is currently the ninth-highest-grossing Japanese movie ever made (beating the likes of Pokémon: The First Movie and Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke). Clearly, excitement for Akutami’s dark signature shonen series isn’t going anywhere. This popularity buys the anime a lot of goodwill and trust with its audience,...

This Chainsaw Man review contains spoilers.
Chainsaw Man Episode 1
Every year it seems like anime gets weirder, wilder, and more creative. There’s a natural tendency to keep moving forward that continues to push the medium to extreme places. This excess can function at the series’ surface level, but it’s also led to a trend where stylized expressions of magic, energy, or even violence can become powerful metaphors for the internal problems that consume us all. A lot of anime have pushed this idea to the extreme, but few are more ridiculous than Chainsaw Man, an anime where a mild-mannered teen named Denji transforms into a chainsaw-limbed God of destruction. In Chainsaw Man, this weapon’s engine revs loudly and body parts and viscera fly with reckless abandon, but the noise of this spectacle doesn’t drown out the heart and soul of the characters underneath.

Walk into most comic shops and indeed Waterstones or Wh Smiths and you are guaranteed to find a selection of Manga on sale. They will be roughly paperback size and won’t look out of place racked with their wordy, image-less cousins but the one striking difference is that you will be reading them the other way round to how you would normally read a comic, graphic novel or paperback

Four years after the first live action Tokyo Ghoul film, a new story based on Sui Ishida's manga comes to screens. This time around, gastronomically restrained half-ghoul hero Ken Kaneki (Masataka Kubota) is no longer wrestling with his conscience, having found a way to live without doing harm, but risks ending up on the menu himself after attracting the attention of the vicious and charismatic Gourmet (Shota Matsuda). Meanwhile, his mentor Tôka (Maika Yamamoto) is trying to persuade him to make more use of his ghoul-based fighting skills, and their friend Shun'ya Shiraishi is caught up in a romance with a human girl (Mai Kiryû). The result is a slice of cannibal horror with a distinctly soapy aftertaste.
If you've left high school and the teen drama that makes up the bulk of this film doesn't do much to hold your interest, what else does it have to offer?...

Sink Your Teeth Into Tokyo Ghoul On Screen Anime
Live-action adaptation of hit manga heads line-up that challenges limits of animation.
Expand the realms of possibility for animation this month with the Screen Anime channel’s latest line-up that celebrates experimental techniques, and anime’s rising influence in other mediums. After 15 years and a humongous impact in the industry, “Naruto” (and Shippuuden) finished in 2017 and with it an era that defined and still continues to define the shonen action genre in anime, a style that begun with “Dragonball” and “One Piece” and was cemented with the adventures of the young ninja and “Bleach”. Many similar, to the point of identical titles were released during and after “Naruto” ended, in essence giving a narrative identity to the category that looked annoyingly like this
Furthermore, after a point, and during a period that the whole anime industry declined, intense elements of fanservice were added to the regular themes of the-underdog-becoming-all-powerful-through-consecutive-level-ups, the training, the tournaments, the rivalry of two very similar characters, slapstick comedy etc to the aforementioned, while all the faults of the category remained. Since 2013 and “Attack on Titan” however, the industry started to become reinvigorated, through a number of titles that entailed new elements,...

The second season of “Tokyo Ghoul” continues directly where the first left off (since the first ended in the middle of a battle). However, as the episodes unfold, the story strays away from the manga, and follows an original script by manga author Sui Ishida. The main arc deals with Kaneki joining Aogiri just after the battle and the Ccg’s efforts to deal with the utterly destructive group.
In that regard, we witness the Ccg taking the role of the hunted, as the Aogiri attack various stations exterminating everyone inside them. As the Antique cafe group and particularly Toka and Hinami try to deal with Kaneki’s exodus, so do his struggles with keeping his sanity intact, which, in combination with the sense of loss and the trauma left by the torturing he succumbed to, have lead to a truly explosive mix. The middle part of...

As we have mentioned before, the Japanese movie industry, at some point, diagnosed that particularly the shonen titles have all been copying “Naruto”, “Bleach”, “One Piece” and other trademark series of the category, to the point that the repetition and the lack of originality had become a problem. Thus, in a process that could be described as self-regulation, a number of titles that transcend the cliches of the genre were produced, particularly during the last decade, with anime like “One Punch Man”, “My Hero Academia” and “Mob Psycho 100%” being among the most prominent samples. “Tokyo Ghoul” may not reach the originality of the aforementioned titles, but also manages to stand out due to the implementation of many exploitation elements and a more adult-oriented approach.
The story takes place in a world infested by Ghouls, vampire-like creatures that look like humans but are actually monsters that feed solely on human flesh.
