A very pleasant surprise from this new spin-off series of TWD. The change of environement has brought a breath of fresh air to this story, and the images of France in a 'end of the world' style are superb. In the first episode, we are treated to beautiful scenes of the South of France, especially the awe-inspiring Pont du Gard aqueduct, a remarkable structure constructed by the Romans in the first century AD. I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing the scenes set in Paris.:The script was also well-executed. In the first episode, the French militia employs very old weapons dating back to the early 19th century, which adds a realistic touch considering that very few people in France have firearms at home. Therefore, in a world descending into chaos, it makes sense for them to utilize any type of weaponry they can find, even if it means raiding military museums. This creates a unique medieval-like atmosphere in the show.
