Simone Biles gifted the Internet with a gold medal-worthy video that could give “David After Dentist” a run for his money.
The Olympian, 20, recently had her her wisdom teeth removed and chronicled her post-surgery recovery with a hilarious video of herself still loopy from the anesthesia.
“Wisdom teeth = gone,” Biles wrote along with a selfie with sister Adria. The sibling photo was followed up with a short clip of her waking up, with a caption that read: “after wisdom teeth !! no words haha! Enjoy! hope yall get a good laugh!!”

Most of us know Zach Woods for portraying Gabe Lewis on the HBO hit show Silicon Valley. I was always a fan of his work on The Office. In any event Woods has become a household name and is one of the top actors when it comes to playing, strange, geeky, almost uncomfortably scary roles that aren’t technically supposed to be scary. How much is Woods like the characters he plays? Turns out the way he talks in real life isn’t too far a stretch from some of the characters he plays. Last night Woods stopped by Conan on TBS

What more could we ask for from a Broad City premiere than a “walking around the city” episode? Be it “The Lookout”, “Destination: Wedding”, or “Wisdom Teeth”, episodes where Ilana and Abbi are wandering around NY and experiencing its many quirks are among the best any television show had to offer – so when “Two Chainz” begins (after a hilarious, extended opening montage detailing the bathroom lives of our two stars) with the ladies leaving brunch and beginning to walk down the street, I couldn’t have been more excited. And f***, does “Two Chainz” deliver: it acts as both a welcome return

Broad City, Season 2, Episode 3, “Wisdom Teeth”
Written by Ilana Glazer & Abbi Jacobson
Directed by John Lee
Airs Wednesdays at 10:30pm on Comedy Central
Here’s some personal context: I spent most of my day before watching this episode in a health clinic, dealing with strep throat, waiting, waiting, waiting. It goes without saying that it was a less-than-ideal way to spend my day. I turned on “Wisdom Teeth”, and suddenly all was right in the world. The long day faded away. The pain in my throat faded away. It was almost as if I was high on four Vicodin and some strong weed.
In fact, Abbi is the one dealing with getting her wisdom teeth out, hopped up on drugs, and though not everyone reacts in the same way and this is surely an exaggerated version, many can relate with the fuzzy experience. It turns out to be the...

She’s no stranger to strange situations, so when Lady Gaga found out she needed to have her wisdom teeth extracted, she decided to give her Little Monsters a look.
The “Born This Way” babe tweeted a selfie on Thursday (April 17) following the procedure, and she was admittedly feeling fine thanks to some prescription painkillers.
Gaga wrote, “Wisdom teeth out. P-p-Percocet p-p-p-Percocet,” followed by, “Chipmunk Cheeks… Wisdom Teeth out before tour. I can’t eat. I’m gonna put some meatballs in a blender.”
And given Ariana Grande’s recent dental surgery and Miley Cyrus’ continued hospitalization, it seems many of our favorite singers are laid up as of late!

Ouch! Lady Gaga had her wisdom teeth removed yesterday, and the pop star documented her recovering from the procedure with a makeup-free selfie. Mother Monster wrote, "Chipmunk Cheeks. Wisdom teeth out before tour. I can't eat. I'm gonna put some meatballs in a blender." The "Applause" singer pouted for the camera from her bed and was shown snuggling up to a massive stuffed monkey toy. But even through the discomfort, Gaga had a bit of sense of humor about the whole ordeal. "Wisdom teeth out. P-p-Percocet p-p-Percocet," she tweeted—presumably meant to be tweeted in the same tune as her hit "Poker Face." The 28-year-old only has a...

The 11th annual Lausanne Underground Film Festival is packed to the gills with outrageous cinema from all over the world, featuring several filmmaker retrospectives and movies screening in competition at several locations on Oct. 17-21.
The big guest of honor this year is the legendary John Waters, who will be attending the fest with several of his own classics, such as Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble and Desperate Living, as well as showing some of his favorite B-movie inspirations, such as William Girdler’s blaxploitation demonic possession flick Abby, Armando Bo’s Argentinian sexploitation Fuego, Robinson Devor’s controversial bestiality doc Zoo and more. Plus, Waters will perform his acclaimed “This Filthy World” one-man show.
Other Luff special guests include Christoph Schlingensief, the confrontational German filmmaker of 100 Years of Adolf Hitler, The German Chainsaw Massacre, The 120 Days of Bottrop and more; Richard Stanley, the South African genre filmmaker of the cult...

For their 5th annual event, which is set to run Sept. 8-11, the Sydney Underground Film Festival is looking a little more demented than ever. And that’s saying a lot for this scrappy, still relatively young fest, which typically offers ample twisted cinematic offerings.
The fun kicks off with the Opening Night film, the demented superhero comedy Super, written and directed by former Troma go-to screenwriter James Gunn (Tromeo & Juliet); then ends with the Closing Night wallowing in Sydney’s seedy underbelly, X, by homegrown filmmaker Jon Hewitt.
Crammed between these two excursions into violence and depravity is a lineup filled with perverse visions, scandalous public figures, sickening horror, experimental pop culture remixes and more.
For Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film, the highlight of the fest is Usama Alshaibi‘s Profane, a complex psychological, psychosexual, spiritual morality play about a Muslim sex worker who endures a “reverse...

It’s lucky 13 for the Boston Underground Film Festival as they celebrate their raucous 13th annual edition this year. Opening with the much buzzed about bloody feature film Hobo With a Shotgun starring Rutger Hauer and directed by Jason Eisener, the fest then barrels on for eight wild nights and days from March 24-31.
While there’s plenty of underground goodness from the U.S.A., this year Buff feels like it’s a much more international affair with several sick features from around the globe. There’s gory horror and quirky black comedy from Japan in the guise of Yoshihiro Nishimura’s Helldriver and Sion Sono’s Cold Fish; the Argentinian freak-out Phase7 by Nicolas Goldbart; David Blyth’s Wound is a psychological thriller from New Zealand; and Mark Hartley’s Machete Maidens Unleashed! is a look at Philippine exploitation cinema from the ’70s.

Don Hertzfeldt is a sick genius, I really don’t know any other way to put it. His short film, Rejected, made quite the splash back in 2000 and took the film festival circuit by storm, catapulting him into the spotlight. Since then, he has had a steady flow of work, including his crazy animated Pop Tart commercials.

If you have a high tolerance for stick-figure violence, Wisdom Teeth is today's must-watch video. The latest short from Oscar-Nominated animator Don Hertzfeldt (of Rejected fame) premiered at Sundance and is now part of a Showtime program called Short Stories. Despite Hertzfeldt's excellent track record, I'll admit I had a tough time getting psyched to watch even a slapstick cartoon about dental surgery because well, sometimes the dentist really is that scary. But rest assured, the animator's unmatched knack for comic absurdity makes it completely worthwhile and the ridiculous ending will have you in...stitches. I'm sorry.

Here's a hilarious gut busting animated short directed by Don Hertzfeldt called Wisdom Teeth. Hertzfeldt is known for making whacked out fun and violent stick figure type animated short films.
His newest film recently screened at Fantastic Fest, and the video had me craking up!
Nigel gives in to his friend's innocent request.
Wisdom Teeth is an unnecessary new five minute cartoon that Don drew in between more important things.
I hope you enjoy the video! I've also included one of his previously released films called Rejected Cartoons.

Don Hertzfeldt is a mad genius. Over the course of his career he has raised stick figures to an absurd - and often violent - art form, garnering himself Oscar nominations along the way.
Hertzfeldt's latest completed work - Wisdom Teeth - triggered fits of laughter so hard that I hurt after seeing it screened at Fantastic Fest and it has now arrived online. This is absolutely essential viewing, watch it below.

Cartoon Brew has debuted the list of the thirty-three films up for consideration in the Best Animated Short category for the upcoming 2011 Oscars and I have done my very best to find a video for each and every one. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything for Rao Heidmets's Inherent Obligations or Don Hertzfeldt's Wisdom Teeth so if anyone out there can help find video for those either let me know in the comments or shoot me an email.

Nestled in the foothills of northern California, the Nevada City Film Festival has evolved from a locals-only fest into a four-day international smorgasbord of short films, plus a couple of features thrown in for good measure. There’s also filmmaking panels, award ceremonies, a live comedy show and some very special guests.

You might have noticed the coverage of this years ultra-sized Fantasia film festival in the Reviews and Interviews column of the site from a number of contributors taking in the festival: Mack, Shelagh, Peter, Todd, and myself, as well as a plethora of other Twitch writers hither and yon. Covering a festival of this size is a massive undertaking and I hope you enjoyed all the updates, interviews, and reviews. Rest assured there are still a few more to come. As Fantasia winds down with a screening of Metropolis Extended Edition and full orchestra, it seems to have been a raging success this year across the board. The festival announced its Jury and Audience awards, and they are below. It seems that the Subversive Serbia sidebar was a big hit, with controversial A Serbian Film getting one of the big audience awards.
