In Stephanie Wang Breal’s carefully crafted documentary, the daily rhythms of a Queens County courtroom become as hypnotic as they are chaotic. Intimate in scope and the first of its kind, “Blowin’ Up” takes viewers inside the country’s first courtroom dedicated to those arrested on sex trafficking charges, otherwise known as prostitution. From the Da to the social workers to the defendants, the court (and the film) is almost entirely populated with women; presided over by the Honorable Toko Serita, who rules her roost with a gentle but firm iron fist.
The official synopsis reads: “In 2004, the United States’ first problem-solving court around prostitution was created in Queens County, New York. The court, presided over by the Honorable Toko Serita, attempts to redress the way women and young girls arrested for prostitution are shuffled through the criminal justice system. With unparalleled access to the workings of the court,...

Over the course of their eight-year relationship, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola practically had more breakups and make-ups than Jersey Shore had episodes, and he was usually the one to blame. He made out with random girls in random nightclubs in Season 2, for example, but he also reportedly cheated on Sammi with a fellow reality star: Bad Girls Club star Morgan Osman. We first heard about this alleged affair when Tough Love star Arian Mayer put Ronnie on blast in September 2011, tweeting, "So @MTVsammi I thought you should know that @mtvronnie was f--king my girl @Morganbritt724 last weekend and now they are at Wet. Sorry." Arian elaborated on the situation in a statement to TheDirty.com (per Starcasm): "So the dumbass f--ked my friend a week ago, and she is here in Vegas visiting me. Just when Game of Thrones fans got their hopes up after Kit Harington stepped out at Wimbledon with his Jon Snow curls still intact, Arya Stark is here to burst everyone's bubble. "We saw him get stabbed a lot in the chest, like, I think that’s pretty clear," Maisie Williams told People. In fact, she says the cast has secretly been mourning Kit/Jon's loss since award-show season earlier this year. Her advice on how to cope: "That's what this show does. And if you haven't learned that by now, well then I can't help you ... If it makes you feel better, then yes there's hope but ... [major eye roll]." Tough love. That's the Arya Stark way.

Tough love isn't just tough for the person getting it. Martin Sheen says he was at a loss for how to help his son Charlie Sheen during the latter's very public meltdown back in 2011, which led to him getting fired from his hit CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. "What he was going through at that time, we were powerless to do much," the Grace and Frankie actor, 74, told Radio Times in a new interview, recalling his son's erratic behavior and bizarre Twitter rants. The Voice is not typically known for tough criticism. Golden Bear Winner – “Taxi" by Jafar Panahi. This is funny, subtly political and a pleasure to watch. Panahi’s niece steals the show but other passengers in Panahi’s taxi are also engaging and mysterious as they reveal ever so little, which is still a lot, of their lives during their ride. The job of driving a taxi, a job he took to stay attached within society even though he is not allowed to make movies, gives Panahi a perfect setting for being filmed and for meeting people who represent Iran today. How fitting it was that on my ride home from the airport after Berlin, my Iranian cabdriver knew all the films of Panahi. We had a talk worthy of “Taxi." Isa: Celluloid Dreams. When Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele steam up the big screen next month, they'll be doing it to some very sexy tunes.
Among the standout tracks on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack is UK songstress Jessie Ware's soothing-meets-seductive new song "Meet Me in the Middle," which was actually penned for – and ultimately scrapped from – her sophomore album Tough Love. Luckily for us, Fifty Shades director Sam Taylor-Johnson had the good sense to work the track into her highly-anticipated film.
Watch: Let's Talk About the 'Fifty Shades' Soundtrack
"I'd love it to be in a sex scene," Ware says of the song, "but I don't think it will be. The bassline lends itself to a sex scene, but I don't know if the chorus does." (For the record: we think it'd be right at home during one of Christian and Anastasia's more tender trysts.)

This isn't even a representation of what I listened to the most. Top 10 and Top Albums list at year-end can be a popularity contest. They can be just another way to celebrate singles artists. It could be about enjoying the brand just as much as the album itself. Top 10s can be a metaphor for feelings. Objectively, you can't say there's such thing as a definitive way to go-about making a year-end list. It can waver year to year: last year, I'd say my choices felt like they were all about color and boldness. This year, for me, it felt like it was all about discord. Fka Twigs is not for everybody, but "LP1" simply was one of the most put-together, challenging sets that moved me this year. I can't listen to the damned thing just any time. That wasn't how I marked it. Young Fathers basically made an album...

Jessie Ware's 2012 debut record Devotion was a wonderful, romantic, smooth as hell R&B album; her follow-up, Tough Love, is packed with just as many lovely, dynamic, powerful, restrained, beautiful songs. Vulture spoke to Jessie Ware about the record, working with Miguel, Ed Sheeran, and BenZel, sexy-talking breakdowns, channeling Beyoncé, and how pork buns influence her.How was your wedding? It was wonderful, thank you. It was gorgeous. We really had the best day. It was perfect. What song did you have your first dance to? It was Wayne Wonder, “No Letting Go.” Do you know that song? I probably would if I heard it, but not by name. You know it. When you look it up you'll be like, “Huh?” Basically, we didn’t pick that song. It picked us, shall we say. Why is that? Let's stop pretending you haven't thought of making this exact music video when you went to the Museum of Natural History, and when you heard the lyrics it was like Jessie Ware drilled them directly out of your skull and tried to pass them off as her own? As we previously reported, album sales are at a record all-time low in the U.S. Last week, album sales totaled 3.97 million for the week, marking the first time the tally has dropped below 4 million, unprecedented in the SoundScan era (which kicked off with tracking sales data in 1991). Billboard -- who has a partnership with SoundScan -- is the first to report album and sales news, the good, the bad and the ugly. Today it was reported that sales are slightly up from that grim news last week, 5% only (to 4.2 million), due to Ariana Grande's fresh "My Everything." But still, that makes it trending low, which Ed Christman said is only to be expected. "The weekly average number of album sales fell from 4.75 million units in the first quarter to 4.55 million units in the second quarter. In the first 8 weeks of the third quarter, the average has fallen further to 4.2 million.

Just in the nick of time Dimension gets a rating for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, which I'm actually heading out to see as you are reading this, and to no surprise it gets a strong R-rating while Thomas Vinterberg's Far from the Madding Crowd starring Cary Mulligan and Matthias Schoenaerts gets a PG-13. However, it seems Madding Crowd might not be getting a 2014 release as IMDb has it down for a May 1, 2015 release through Fox Searchlight. That's the first I'm hearing of that date, but for now we'll go with it. The complete bulletin follows including an R-rating for V/H/S: Viral, something called Christian Mingle, The Movie, an extended cut of Melissa McCarthy's Tammy (presumably for DVD and Blu-ray) and a Madea movie Lionsgate doesn't even have listed on their slate of upcoming features. Christian Mingle, The Movie Rated PG For mild thematic elements.

Zoe Saldana and Michael Rooker have left a mark on Chris Pratt, who plays Peter Quill. Pratt admits that he fears Saldana's (who plays assassin Gamora) stunt fighting moves because she leaves a mark, and the "fake fighting" between he and Rooker (alien Yondu) was also more than he anticipated. Check out their conversation during the Guardians of the Galaxy press conference:
Zoe Saldana: Chris was like, "I know that you're very stunty and you're agile and everything so, just be yourself, just go with it, whatever." And I remember, like around the third take, he's like, "No, just take it easy on that. Maybe just, you know, like there's your mark, baby, like just stand on your mark. Chris Pratt: It hurts!

The Other Woman is a movie of montages, music and quite a few well-placed punchlines as it's not exactly a home run comedy, but it's a solid double. Directed by Nick Cassavetes with a screenplay by relative newcomer, Melissa Stack, the film makes good use of its female leads and situations to find comedy in the emotional hurt caused by a cheating husband (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) as his wife (Leslie Mann) ends up teaming with two of his mistresses (Cameron Diaz and Kate Upton) for revenge. If The Other Woman lacks anything it's an editor with any kind of confidence, believing what they have here is actually funny. Not only does the film open with a montage, but it's overloaded with them and when it's not a montage, it's one song after another, several of which having nothing to do with what's going on. In fact, the music is a curious...

Kim married Kris and filed for divorce just to get the Kardashian family name 'in the media headlines,' say relationship experts Steve Ward and his mom JoAnn Ward! Since Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on Oct. 31, just 72 days after they wed, questions have been circling that the marriage was fake from the very beginning. Just in case our Ashton Kutcher-Demi Moore-impending-doom speculation isn't sufficiently satiated, it is time to bring on the psychosis.
What is behind Ashton Kutcher's alleged affairs?
With rumors of Ashton's infidelity running rampant (not one, but possibly Two ladies hot tubbing with the Mr. Moore on their wedding anniversary?! Stop the madness), it's time to take a good hard look at why the Two and a Half Men star would break his marital bond.
Ashton is "acting out," says Tough Love star and relationships expert Steve Ward in Celebuzz. Ashton is upset that Demi won't grant him his own biological family, so he's making her pay.
Ward speculates that the couple probably tried to conceive little Ashtons, but probably realized it wasn't possible and gave up.
Adding insult to injury, their careers are in different places. Ashton has found some unforeseen success (we'll see how long...

Ashton Kutcher, 33, is 15 years younger than his wife Demi Moore, 48 -- and it's their massive age gap that may have lead him to allegedly sleep with 23-year-old Sara Leal. Ashton could be seeking validation from younger women, master matchmaker Steve Ward, host of VH1's Tough Love, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. He may even want to start a family of his own! "The fact that Demi is significantly older than Ashton only contributes to his propensity to or desire to want to get validation from younger women," explains Steve. "My guess is that they [Ashton and Demi] tried having a family together. The tried having children. Her children are Bruce Willis' children. They are not his children. I think he really wants to start a family himself...
