Some actors are so good they can consistently draw attention without even trying. But Carol Burnett might be the only living legend who can literally steal scenes in her sleep. The 91-year-old actor just received her 23rd Primetime Emmy nomination for her supporting work in the satirical comedy “Palm Royale” — for playing a character who spends a good part of the season in a coma.
Created by Abe Sylvia and set in 1969, “Palm Royale” casts Burnett as Norma Dellacorte, a beloved and feared grand dame of Florida society who has been bedridden since a pulmonary episode. Her caretaker becomes Maxine Simmons-Dellacorte (played by fellow Emmy nominee Kristen Wiig), the wife of Norma’s nephew, but can only communicate her disdain through a series or groans and gibberish. Yet Burnett makes her limited capacities a master class in acting.
While that might sound difficult, Burnett dismisses such ideas. “It wasn’t a challenge at all,...

It is Stussy who first breaks the news to Sentomaru and the One Piece audience, informing us that Kizaru is on route with over 100 ships at his command, and that all signs point toward an approaching reprise of the destruction of Ohara. Once more, a treasure trove of forbidden knowledge and rebellious curiosity will be obliterated by the unflinching World Government. Once more, humanity will be plunged back into the darkness of ignorance, with only a smoking ruin left where a monument to greater understanding once stood. Telling his compatriots to flee the island, Sentomaru prepares for the worst, knowing well just how cruel and dispassionate the Five Elders can be. Of course, this is not the first time Egghead has raised the specter of Ohara. Through reuniting Ohara’s sole survivor Robin with its inheritor Vegapunk, Egghead has for some time been serving as a reprise of that dark history,...

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more impressive TV resumé than Melissa Bernstein’s since 2008.
The four-time Emmy-winning producer was right by Vince Gilligan’s side when he got Breaking Bad’s pilot off the ground in 2007 and together with Mark Johnson and Gran Via Productions she helped turn the idiosyncratic crime drama about a high school chemistry teacher-turned-meth kingpin into its own empire. Immediately following the staggering success of the Bryan Cranston-led Breaking Bad, Gilligan, Bernstein, Peter Gould and the rest of Gilligan’s brain trust spun the series off into the Bob Odenkirk vehicle Better Call Saul, which is now considered to be one of the most acclaimed prequels in any medium. Then came 2019’s well-received sequel movie El Camino, chronicling Jesse Pinkman’s (Aaron Paul) quest for freedom.

Aokiji Kuzan has often been a neutral character in One Piece. Despite his overwhelming powers, he often does not interrupt the activities of pirates and even spares by going against direct orders from his superiors.
In the latest episode of One Piece, his conversation with Blackbeard raised even more suspicions. For the first time, Kuzan seems perplexed at a sudden change of plans. Fans suspect that there may be more to him than what meets the eye.

The currently serving 46th President of the United States of America, Joe Biden has been making a lot of headlines lately. While his uncannily changed behavior in public, with him making unbelievable mistakes out loud, was one thing, his withdrawing from the 2024 U.S. presidential race and endorsing Kamala Harris instead further has him under the brightest limelight of this season.

But while people can’t really make out what is actually going on out there, a lot of old clips of Biden have also been resurfacing lately, mostly from when he served on the County Council and continued his private law practice at the same time. And, surprisingly enough, one of these old unearthed clips from him in court is giving the Breaking Bad fans some serious Saul Goodman vibes.

In the future Saul hitches a ride with Anna and Vadim, a young couple on their way off planet for a vacation. Saul requests that they simply drop him off at the nearest uninhabited planet. He says he's done with human nature, and people. When they touch down they discover a handful of bodies outside their ship, frozen to death. This planet is inhabited and a large number of the humanoids here are being held against their will. When Steven Soderbergh remade ratpack favourite Ocean’s 11 in the early 2000s, he not only assembled one of the all-time-great ensemble casts – he reinvigorated the heist movie in the process. First, in 2001, came Ocean’s Eleven, with all its swaggering Vegas charm. Then came Ocean’s Twelve in 2004, bringing greater ambition with multiple European heists. And then, capping it all off in 2007, was the all-glam Ocean’s Thirteen, dialling up the star power even further to deliver one last great score.
With the entire legendary Ocean’s trilogy now available on 4K, it’s the ideal time to revisit the legendary filmsat home – here’s every crew member you need to pull off the ultimate heist.

Much of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is centered on Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Pirate crew going on a fantastical adventure on the Grand Line. However, the Shonen series does not focus primarily on its main characters, as over its long run, Oda-Sensei has featured several mysteries around its characters.

One of the most sought-after mysteries revolving around the anime and manga series is The Will of D. The characters with these initials are notorious figures tirelessly hunted by the Marines. While characters like Ace, Dragon, Garp, Saul, and many more flaunt the letter in their names, Trafalgar D. Water Law prefers to hide the letter from his name.
Though fans initially assumed that he preferred to have negligent attention and did not want the Marine on his tail, it turns out that he prefers to hide the letter for a very different reason.

"Star Trek" fans are a notoriously finicky and aggressively opinionated lot, but I don't think it's terribly controversial to suggest that, of the six films featuring "The Original Series" cast, the majority of Trekkers hold the two directed by Nicholas Meyer, "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" and "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country," to be the best of the bunch.
Made for $32 million less than Robert Wise's "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," Meyer, who'd never seen a single episode of the show, got the franchise's big-screen iteration back on track by dispensing with the previous film's occasionally draggy reverence. Though he inherited the notion of calling back to Tos' "Space Seed" episode, Meyer placed his stamp on the film by imbuing the tale with evocative literary allusions to Herman Melville's "Moby-Dick" and Charles Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities." TV's best and most passionate breakdowns are occasionally subtle and often legendary.
They're the culmination of the negative, the positive, or simply the need for upheaval in an otherwise flat character arc -- a self-destruction so piteous as to seem irredeemable.
Sometimes, this act affects others as well.
Naturally, the on-screen breakdown is the culmination of psychological stressors, whether self-induced or brought on by binge-watching The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.
It's often difficult to watch without empathy, especially in characters we've grown to love and even in some we love to hate.
After all, the most intense breakdowns are all too often close to home and personal to the viewers.
It's easier to empathize with Walter White's failure to find the money to pay Saul in Breaking Bad if you've ever misplaced a hundred-dollar bill in the couch cushions.
The closer a TV series parallels real life, the more we can empathize with the characters.

Milos Forman’s multi-Oscar-winning epic “Amadeus” has received a major 40th anniversary present thanks to the Academy Film Archive: a 4k digital restoration which will be unveiled May 31st at the Academy Museum. There’s major anticipation for this new restoration; the event is sold out with stand-by tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The restoration by the archive and the Saul Zaentz Co. with funding provided by Teatro Della Pace Film marks the first time the original theatrical release has been available in over two decades.
“Amadeus,” produced by Saul Zaentz and adapted by Peter Shaffer from his Tony Award-winning Broadway play, revolves around the rivalry in last half of the 18th century Vienna between the mediocre court composer Antonio Salieri (F. Murray Abraham) and his rival, the brilliant young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Tom Hulce). Shot on location in Prague, the film was a homecoming for Forman who...

Jorge Gil’s statement in the first episode of Who Killed Him? made sure that Mario Rodriguez, Paco’s longtime sidekick and best friend, got arrested. The second chapter of the show focuses on Mario and how his life has been since meeting Paco.
Spoilers Ahead
Why did Mario get arrested?
Mario seems pretty certain that he’s innocent, and he even reassures Brenda that there’s nothing to be worried about. Brenda insists that he should take a lawyer with him before he makes the statement to the police, but Mario feels that innocent people don’t need lawyers to protect them. Just when he’s finished talking with Brenda, police surround his house and arrest him for murdering Paco Stanley. When he asks the reason for his arrest, Saul says they got a tip from Foreign Affairs that Mario and Brenda tried to renew their passports and flee from Mexico.

Based on the assassination of the celebrated Mexican TV personality Paco Stanley, Prime Video’s Who Killed Him? tells the story of what led to this assassination. Dr. Vegapunk’s recent ongoing message to the One Piece world is the biggest revelation that Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus has ever seen. Not only is Vegapunk spilling out the secrets of the World Government, but he is also revealing information about important mysteries like the Ancient Kingdom, Joy Boy, and Ancient weapons.
Dr. Vegapunk’s Message in One Piece | Viz Media
However, knowing Oda and his incredible talent for foreshadowing Vegapunk’s message might also contain some hidden encryptions that might be more valuable than the message that he is delivering to the One Piece world. This message could very well contain some more valuable information that fans might not have noticed.
According to a One Piece theory, the important thing to focus on is not what’s being said in the messages but what’s been intentionally or unintentionally left out. The things that are left out...

Although the first arc of the finale saga of One Piece, Egghead, disclosed many facts, revealed the mysterious Five Elders, and provided many exciting fights, the main plot of the Egghead Island arc centered around the World Government attempting to assassinate Dr. Vegapunk and his Satellites. And his message that is being delivered to the world is proof that they succeeded in killing him.
Dr. Vegapunk in One Piece
It was revealed at the beginning of the story that Dr. Vegapunk was conducting research that went against the policies of the World Government, which is why they decided to kill their biggest technological ally. However, this might not be the only reason why Dr. Vegapunk was given the status of the most wanted person in One Piece.
The recent events in One Piece Chapter 1114 revealed that Dr. Vegapunk was conducting research on the Poneglyphs. This meant that he, just like Nico Robin,...

We promise that this Better Call Saul list is all good, man.
First introduced late in Season 2 of Breaking Bad, Bob Odenkirk’s sleazy criminal lawyer extraordinaire, Saul Goodman, immediately became a scene-stealing fan favorite — and then grabbed the spotlight again in Better Call Saul when it premiered in 2015. Co-created by Breaking Bad mastermind Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould (the writer-director of Saul’s first Bad appearance), Better Call Saul serves as both a prequel and sequel to its predecessor. The series covers the years before the man known as Jimmy McGill becomes Saul Goodman, and, ultimately, Omaha Cinnabon manager Gene Takavic, the identity he takes on following the events of Breaking Bad.
Better Call Saul starts off as more of a courtroom and family drama, but the eventual emergence of Breaking Bad power players like Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) help raise the stakes...

Most filmmakers who want to unsettle you in a horror movie will reach for a familiar set of tools: slashers, demons, shock cuts, soundtracks that go boom! in the night. But in “Crimes of the Future,” the writer-director David Cronenberg is out to provoke and disturb us with something far more traumatic than mere monsters.
Am I talking about the fact that in the distant future where the film is set, human beings grow mysterious new organs in their bodies? Or that having those organs removed through surgery has become, for a creepy rebel aesthete named Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), a species of performance art? Or that people no longer experience physical pain, and will therefore stand in the street late at night cutting each other for cheap thrills, as if they were shooting heroin in a back alley? Or that surgery itself, as someone puts it, has become “the...
