Every year, there's the common refrain 'Is X award show even worth watching this year?' To be fair, for certain lovers of TV, movies, and music, the days of these lauded events being must-watch are bygone. There's a belief that they're stale, the hosts aren't funny, and they drag on. And, honestly, that's a fair assessment But there are definitely years that you should sit down or at least DVR the ceremony. For the Emmys, that's the case for the 2024 event.

Who else is ready for one of the biggest nights in television? I sure am! Awards shows are a pretty big deal for the industry. There's many shows, actors, and creatives behind-the-scenes who are recognized for the hard work they do. It's almost time for the 2024 Emmys! We've got a full watch guide for you so you know everything you need to know before the ceremony begins.
Emmys 2024 airs live Sunday, Sept. 15, 2024 from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. One of the reasons I'm so excited is because of the co-hosts this year. And that would be father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy! This is the first time either of them take on Mc duties for the awards show. I just know it's going to be great. Schitt's Creek was, and is, one of my favorite comedies.
So how exactly can you tune in? Where can you watch?...

Every few years, people all across the globe unite for their love of sport and country as they cheer on the world’s best athletes in the Summer and Winter Olympics.
In the 2024 Paris Games, more than 10,000 Olympians competed for hundreds of medals but only about a third of those athletes will receive the highest honor: a gold medal.
There have been some questions about the gold medals and what they’re really made of. Here’s the surprising answer to that and why biting the medal (as many athletes do in photos) is not a good idea.

Even Beyoncé is impressed with Simone Biles after her record-breaking performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics this week. In a new tribute video posted to NBC, the singer celebrates Biles’ physical and mental prowess.
The clip opens with Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter song “Just for Fun,” which features Willie Jones, as she narrates footage of Biles during the Olympic games and in practice. “Let’s talk about power because, really, that’s what this story is about,” Beyoncé says. “Physical power, its beauty, its wonder, the way it never stops amazing you.

Snoop Dogg‘s Olympic broadcasting journey is proving to be a standout experience, thanks to his unique and vibrant presence. As NBC’s Paris 2024 Olympic special correspondent, the 52-year-old rapper brought his signature flair to the games.
During a “Primetime in Paris” segment on Monday night, Snoop humorously dismissed the need for swim goggles while taking a pool lesson with 23-time gold medalist Michael Phelps. “Hell no, I see really good without them,” he declared.
The moment was highlighted by Snoop’s playful act of revealing his bathing trunks and stepping into the water with a dramatic flair.
Snoop Dogg’s – Unique Commentary Style
Snoop’s commentary has already made waves, especially with his unforgettable description of a badminton match between the USA and China. On July 28, his vivid play-by-play captured the intensity of the game:
“As you see, it don’t stop ’til the casket drop. They rocking and rolling.

The opening ceremony of the Paris Games is barely over, and already its starting to look a lot like the #Beylympics, at least to Team USA.
Having given Vice President Kamala Harris permission to use her ‘Freedom’ tune for her newly launched Potus campaign, Beyoncé is now flying the flag for Simon Biles, LeBrone James, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, Katie Ledecky and all other American athletes competing in France over the next 16 days.
In a video that dropped during NBC and Peacock’s primetime replay of Friday’s Opening Ceremony, the hatted and booted Cowboy Carter superstar gave her ‘YA YA’ hit a revamp for the hometown team. “Get a look at America, y’all,” Beyoncé declared as Biles, Men’s Gymnasts Fredrick Richard and Asher Hong, and others appeared on screen. “These hopes and dreams, these superstars that represent us.”

The Tokyo Olympics came one year late, but at least they happened. And they just so happened to be watched by 42% fewer viewers than the Rio Games in 2016, according to total audience delivery (Tad) tallies. The all-in number of 15.5 million average viewers across the Tokyo Games includes NBC, its cable channels and digital properties — including Peacock. The numbers come from a combination of Nielsen and Adobe data, and combined are down from the 26.7 million total viewers, per night, from Rio. We should note that the final Nielsen numbers for NBC’s primetime coverage of the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday and the Closing Ceremony on Sunday will be in Tuesday. Earning gold, silver and bronze, respectively, were the first Sunday of competition (20 million viewers), the first Thursday (19.5 million) and the second Tuesday (17.4 million). On the No. 1 night, NBC aired the women’s gymnastics team’s — including Simons Biles — qualifying round during that Sunday primetime broadcast.

As for Caeleb Dressel, we're still in awe with how fast he swam to secure multiple gold medals. And while the United States athletes gave viewers plenty of...

All that shines eventually loses its luster over time and viewership for NBC’s coverage of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is no exception. Wednesday evening continued a downward trend in primetime ratings for the global sporting event on NBC, airing to 12.5 million viewers and earning a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demo, per overnight numbers. Viewership fell 16% in viewers and six tenths in rating from Tuesday.
NBC’s Olympics coverage has dominated primetime since the opening ceremony on Friday, but this year’s games are no match for the viewership of the Rio Olympics, which drew in more than 26 million viewers for the corresponding night in 2016 for more than a 50% decline.
Last evening saw U.S. swimmer Caeleb Dressel take gold for the men’s 100m freestyle race. The night also consisted of the women’s table tennis semifinal, men’s BMX Racing quarterfinals and more.

Not to mention, fans everywhere are swooning over the 6-foot-3, tattooed athlete. With the victory and attention, many are hailing him as the next Michael Phelps. Move aside Michael Phelps, because Caeleb Dressel has entered the pool. The 24-year old swimmer is the fastest swimmer in the world and has the potential to be the fourth swimmer in history to earn seven medals in a single Olympic Games. Does his name sound a bit familiar? Well, that's because the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be the second time Caeleb swims for Team USA. At the 2016 Games, he won two gold medals. And now, this summer, he will be swimming alongside 52 teammates, including Katie Ledecky and Ryan Murphy, in events such as the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly. Not to mention, he holds multiple world records plus seven gold medals from the 2017 World Championships and eight...

NBCUniversal said Monday that it will present an unprecedented 7,000 hours of coverage of the Tokyo Olympics this summer on two broadcast networks, six cable networks and multiple digital platforms serving both English- and Spanish-language viewers.
The Games, postponed from last summer, will unspool July 23-August 8 in Tokyo, the company said, dispelling rumors to the contrary that have been percolating given local discontent tied to low Covid vaccination rates in Japan. There will be no foreign visitors and may not be any live fans. But this will be the first major global gathering since the pandemic began.
