After nine eventful series, ITV's Dancing on Ice finally hangs up its skates this Sunday (March 9).
Since its launch on January 14, 2006, the show has given us some truly memorable comedic moments - with Todd Carty's stumble off the rink in series four certainly springing to mind.
As ITV prepares to broadcast the last televised Bolero performance from Olympian duo Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and crown its final pair of winners, we present ten facts about Dancing on Ice in celebration of all things icy and sparkly.
1. Since 2006, Torvill and Dean have taught an incredible 111 different celebrities, comprising a total of 700 choreographed routines and a staggering 260 days on the ice. This all amounts to a grand total of 3,432 hours spent coaching. Somebody give them another medal!
2. Alongside all this training and coaching, the Olympic champions have also performed 90 different routines themselves for the show over the nine years.
3. Speaking of figures,...

Sam Attwater has responded to claims that his exit from Dancing on Ice All-Stars was a fix.
There have been suggestions that the EastEnders actor and his partner Vicky Ogden were denied a place in the final because they haven't signed up for the show's forthcoming arena tour.
Attwater and Ogden were eliminated in last night's semi-final after finding themselves in the skate-off with Ray Quinn and Maria Filippov.
Asked about the fix claims on ITV's This Morning, he said: "Yeah, that's what was going around... but it is down to the public so if the people picked up the phones then I would have been in the final.
"There are certain dates of the tour that we can do, so we are trying to work that out and I think there's 20 shows out of the 37 or something that we can do, so hopefully we can work something out and be guest appearances or something.

The Dancing on Ice judges have admitted that they couldn't care less about the contestants' back stories.

Barber also vowed to ignore the All-Star contestants' first series, saying: "You've got to wipe the slate clean, because otherwise that makes it even more difficult, more complicated. You...

"Obviously, I will have to change the names for legal reasons, but it is based on what goes on behind the scenes of these contests. It started as a short story, but now it is at the stage of a novella." Madeley elaborated that (more)...

Fourteen-hour days, the obligatory cast flu, a cast of 40, a flying wombat and a stage diving dwarf later, we have a show! Now, I'll not give too much away as we're gearing up...

A source said to be close to Richard and Judy told the paper that they were keen to meet their daughter’s beau, saying, “They take an avid interest in Chloe’s life and they wanted to get to know the new man in her life…
“They invited him to their home for coffee. Sam was nervous but they made him feel at home, chatting on their sofas.

Chloe Madeley has admitted that she found competing on ITV’s ‘Dancing on Ice’ just like being back at school.
The show’s backstage gossiping and the way judges kept their distance from the contestants reminded the budding TV presenter – who finished third in this year’s competition – of her younger days.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “I don’t know if it’s coincidence or deliberate, but the judges kept their distance from us. They kept themselves pretty separate. It’s a bit like school.
