The short film that introduced Mickey Mouse to the world, 1928’s Steamboat Willie entered the public domain this year, and a handful of Mickey Mouse-themed horror projects have already been announced. One of those films is titled Screamboat, and Bloody Disgusting has learned that the filmmakers are teaming with Iconic Events Releasing for a theatrical release.
From the production teams behind Terrifier 2 and The Mean One, Screamboat is coming to theaters in 2025 via Iconic Events Releasing, we have been informed this afternoon.
In Screamboat, “A mischievous mouse stalks a group of New Yorkers on a late night ferry ride, unleashing murderous mayhem on a relaxing commute. Can the ship’s motley crew of travelers find a way to stop a killer creature who has developed a taste for tourists?”
“Iconic Events couldn’t be more excited to get in on the ground floor of what is going to be a fun and terror-filled ride,...

Some great new concept art has surfaced online for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The art offers us a look at some of the alternate character designs that were done for several of the characters. Those characters include Ego, Mantis, Star-Lord, Gamora, Nebula, Rocket Raccoon, and more. It's pretty cool to see what some of these characters could've looked like in the movie. Ultimately, I loved what the final designs ended up being. I actually really dig some of these designs!
The first set of art that you see above of Ego and Mantis were created by Costume illustrator Christian Cordella (via Sr). The second series of art below comes from artist Andy Park. Check out all the designs and let us know what you think of the alternate designs.
This is one of the 1st versions of Mantis that I designed when starting the project.

We’ve had an adorable raft of concept art for little Baby Groot (see above) and chatter of a sixth, mysterious post-credits scene, but the latest Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 tidbit circles back to the sequel’s genesis to reveal an alternate design for Mantis, Pom Klementieff’s socially oblivious clairvoyant.
Raised under the looming shadow of Ego, the Living Planet – Kurt Russell plays the humanoid version of said deity – Mantis turns out to be a welcome addition to the fold, and her dynamic with Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista) is arguably one of the film’s many highlights.
But now that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is playing in theaters across the globe (our review), Screen Rant has uncovered a new piece of concept...

Some more concept art for James Mangold's Logan has surfaced, and this time it features some of the early character designs that were created for the film. The art was created by Christian Cordella and highlights the mutant characters in the film including Wolverine, X-23, Professor X, and Caliban. As you'll see, some of these designs actually ended up in the film.
If you haven't seen Logan yet, you need to get yourself to the theater and watch it! It's my favorite film of the year. Mangold and his team did such an amazing job with this movie, and I'm curious if we'll see them return for an X-23 film. The character definitely deserves a solo movie, but the story has to at least be as good as Logan.
The creator of X-23, Craig Kyle, recently shared his thoughts on what an X-23 movie should focus on, and I...

Even all these months after its release, Captain America: Civil War still finds itself in the news every now and then. Granted, a lot of the focus has shifted away from Marvel’s massive threequel and towards some of their upcoming efforts like Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, but Joe and Anthony Russo’s tremendously successful blockbuster is still on the minds of many.
Helping keep it there now is some brand new concept art, which has surfaced on the official website of artist Christian Cordella. If you’re unfamiliar with the name, he’s a notable costume concept artist who’s worked on projects like Star Trek: Beyond, Jurassic World and The Jungle Book. Was the original plan to have Enchantress in Kenneth Branagh's Thor? That's news to me. I've be scouring the internet, but I can't seem to find any mention of this being a possibility, yet as you can see below it clearly must've been. The Enchantress is a powerful sorceress and seductress. She is one of Thor's most troublesome antagonists. She is known for having a bouquet of blonde hair and wears an emerald green colored costume decorated with golden rings. Which looks a lot like the image below. Don't-cha think? Costume Illustrations by Christian Cordella The Enchantress' parentage is unknown, though it is known she has a sister by the name of Lorelei. In time, Amora became one of the more powerful magic-wielders in Asgard, with her magical arsenal focused on (but not limited to) charming and mind-controlling people. Her by now well renowned beauty did not hinder in this.

There may only be a few things officially lined up for "The Hunger Games" at this year's Comic-Con event (we can probably — hopefully! — count on a proper "Catching Fire" cast and filmmaker panel next summer), but there's still some real potential for the annual shindig-o-geekery to make us feel like we're living right there in Victor's Village.
Dig into our menu of tasty dishes we hope to see served up in San Diego this week!
New Details, Please
Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen) — whose character will return for the sequels — will join her "Hunger Games" co-stars Alexander Ludwig (Cato), Amandla Stenberg (Rue), Jack Quaid (Marvel), Isabelle Fuhrman (Clove) and Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh) for a special Lionsgate booth signing on Saturday, July 14.
With "Catching Fire" filming expected to begin next month, we're hoping Shields will shell out some need-to-knows about what's to come — like whether a Finnick Odair has been chosen...

Although the next "Hunger Games" movie doesn't start shooting until later in 2012, stars of the hit franchise movie will be at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego to promote the film. Sadly, it won't be any of the trinity -- Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson or Liam Hemsworth. The good news -- some of your favorite (but deceased) tributes will be there.
Lionsgate has lined up Alexander Ludwig (Cato), Amandla Stenberg (Rue), Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh), Isabelle Fuhrman (Clove), Jack Quaid (Marvel) and Willow Shields (Prim) for an autograph signing at its booth. If you stop by #4035 on Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., you could get the signatures of some of the stars in honor of "The Hunger Games" release on DVD and Blu-ray August 18.

Another day, another schedule for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. Next up is Day 3 - Saturday, July 14th - which is just about as chock-full of events for the horror crowd as Friday the 13th!
As always, our focus is the horror panels, but included are a few others that we think will be of interest as well. Remember that times and participants are subject to change so keep your eyes on the official Sdcc site for updates. And hopefully they'll provide a fix soon for the Sdcc smartphone app - in years past it's been extremely helpful.
