Ed Balls does “Gangnam Style”
When Ed Balls of “tweeting his own name” fame was announced as a contestant, it was assumed that he would be a joke act eliminated in one of the first weeks.

Craig Revel Horwood has sung the praises of Peter Andre on this series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking on Absolute Radio's Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show, the BBC judge also called Helen George an "amazing dancer".
Andre, partnered with Janette Manrara, topped the first week, while George has been one of the best performers according to the judges' scores as well.
"We're loving it," said Horwood. "It's really great this year - we've got some amazing people. Peter Andre is standing out as one of them.
"Peter is very, very good. Helen is also an amazing dancer.
"When you consider how long they actually have to learn to dance - they have three weeks - it's incredible how quickly everyone's picked it up."
Horwood also called 2006 winner Mark Ramprakash his most memorable contestant.

After all the excitement about the Strictly Come Dancing launch last weekend, we've now got to wait a couple of weeks to discover who can dance and who can... waddle around a floor, badly (We're looking at you, Gregg Wallace).
In the meantime, we've had the ultimate Strictly pub debate - yes, we talk about Strictly in the pub - who is the greatest champion of all time. Here is the Definitive* ranking of the 11 Glitterball Champions from Worst to the Best.
*Actually just our opinion.
11. Chris Hollins
You can't win Strictly Come Dancing and be a bad dancer. However, Chris Hollins would have struggled to reach the final in any other series and it was only really his partnership with Ola 'Chops' Jordan and the dull competition that allowed him to stroll (or should that be Charleston?) to victory.
10. Tom Chambers
Were Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup the best dancers in 2008? Probably not.

It's a bold claim to make after only five weeks of the competition, but there's quite a strong argument to suggest that Natalie Gumede is the strongest ever celebrity dancer in Strictly Come Dancing history.
The Coronation Street star has barely had a misplaced step in the early weeks of the competition and despite a painful back injury that nearly ruled her out of the Quickstep, she's never fallen below the score of 31 that she collected back in week one.
Her scores of 31, 34, 36, and two 35s aren't just consistent, they're flipping brilliant. The stats are even more impressive when you consider that the 36 came in the notoriously tricky rumba.
Gumede's previous dance experience has been well documented and she isn't ashamed to admit that she had training as a youngster. However, plenty of other former Strictly stars have had the standard acting and dance classes in their youth, but we...

Strictly Come Dancing co-host Tess Daly has spoken about the show's continuing popularity.
The BBC One competition returns for an 11th series later this month, with Vanessa Feltz and Sophie Ellis-Bextor among the contestants.
However, Daly admitted that the show will soon start running out of top celebrities after so many series.
"We never thought it would last this long and I don't want it ever to end, but the celebrity pool is getting smaller," she told Radio Times.
"We must have gone through 150 and we pride ourselves on a higher class of contestant. We have standards to maintain."
Daly also revealed that the celebrities' background can affect how they deal with the stresses of the competition.
"Sports stars are difficult as they're not used to talking about their feelings," she said. "Mark Ramprakash could barely make eye contact, he was so crippled by nerves.

Red or Black? will reportedly not be aired live when it returns for a second series. The chance-based game show was renewed for a second outing earlier this year by ITV1, despite underwhelming ratings and controversial contestants. Simon Cowell's creation will now air pre-recorded episodes each week rather than the nightly live shows of its first series, according to The Sun. The move is said to allow producers to fully investigate the winners, after Nathan Hageman was later discovered to have served a prison sentence for GBH, and two other contestants were also axed. Ant & Dec will start filming the new series next week at the Hertfordshire studios recently used by The Voice UK. Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie and England cricketers Kevin Pietersen and Mark Ramprakash will be among the sports stars that will appear. Meanwhile, the giant roulette wheel (more)...

The 27-year-old actress -who won the show when she took part in a special version for Sport Relief with former winner Mark Ramprakash in 2008 - was given the ban by show bosses to prevent arguments over fairness.
