Publicist Nadia Ali has left Island Records to venture out on her own with Nadia Ali PR. The boutique agency will create, she says, “out-of-the-box and strategic press campaigns.”
Ali will continue to work with Island artists Mike Posner — the Grammy-nominated “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” singer-songwriter—and soul-pop singer Bishop Briggs, who dropped her debut album, “Church of Scars” (featuring hit single “River”) last month.
Ali will also represent up-and-coming Swedish pop artists Seinabo Sey (signed to Virgin Records) and Lova (Universal Music), as well as the L.A.-based indie pop duo Chaos Chaos.
Ali spent four years at Island, where she also represented Tove Lo and Sigrid. Previous to that, she worked under music-vet Liz Rosenberg (at both Warner Bros. Records and Liz Rosenberg Media) on album and tour campaigns for Madonna, Cher, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, and Chris Isaak.

Madonna‘s longtime publicist Liz Rosenberg will retire after two decades with the Queen of Pop. “I think two centuries is long enough, don’t you?” Rosenberg told the New York Post. The PR guru, known for her vibrant personality — which included wearing bunny ears on red carpets — won’t be heading to a permanent beach vacation. “I’m going to consult, advise and protect my peeps from the likes of Page Six forever. I love them too much to do otherwise,” she said. “On a serious note, these people are part of my family. I could never step away completely.

Madge’s mistake or massive misunderstanding? On Saturday, April 18, Madonna attended a performance of the latest off-Broadway sensation, Hamilton, written by Tony-winning composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda. According to a report from Playbill.com, Miranda tweeted, “Tonight was the first time I asked stage management Not to allow a celebrity (who was texting all through Act 2) backstage. #noselfieforyou" before later deleting the tweet, which many presumed to be about that pop star. Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg addressed the incident in a statement to Us Weekly, saying, “It's not [...]...

After a 15 year separation, and months of speculation, singer/songwriter McVie has returned to the band she helped make a worldwide sensation. A new tour is also in the works with an announcement pending later this year. Last September the 70-year-old singer appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac to perform 'Don't Stop' for several shows in London which ignited curiosity as to whether a reunion was in the cards. Mack Fleetwood made the news official at a concert in Hawaii over this past weekend, calling it "the worst kept secret there is," and it's since been confirmed by band publicist Liz Rosenberg: "[Christine McVie] has indeed re-joined Fleetwood Mac and we are hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour for the full tilt Macsters some time in 2014." New York, Oct 30: Madonna's "not ashamed" of nude images from her teenage years that recently surfaced online, her representative Liz Rosenberg has said.
The photos taken by photographer Herman Kulkens in 1977, shows the then 18-year-old University of Michigan student posing fully naked both on her own and with another female model, the New York Daily News reported.
The pop diva was paid just 10-dollars-an hour for the photo shoot, and some of the images were published by adult magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse in the 1980s.
The full set, currently owned by American financier Jeremy Frommer, is set to go under.

The designer, who was fired from Dior after an anti-Semitic rant back in 2011, made his return to the fashion community with a new post at Oscar de la Renta — but based on his Hasidic-looking outfit, has he learned anything from his offensive ways?
Disgraced designer John Galliano sent a strong message when he stepped out for the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 Fashion Show in NYC on Feb. 12, when he dressed in a Hasidic-inspired outfit. Wearing a hat, (which appears to be from the fall 2013 Galliano menswear collection), and long jacket with his hair curled in what looks like peyos, (or sidelocks), the designer’s outfit resembles traditional, Orthodox Jewish dress. Although he was just given a second chance and welcomed back into the fashion community by Oscar de la Renta, we have to question whether or not he has learned anything from the racist rant that cost him his...

Apparently, Madonna is not so similar to the "Material Girl" she sang about in 1984. The pop star is embracing her altruistic side by holding an auction to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Madonna will auction off gear from her Mdna tour to benefit Sandy victims, the New York Post reports. She may offer up the famous red and white majorette costume along with some props from the set (but not the fake gun that caused some major controversy).
Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed to E! News that the 54-year-old singer has agreed to donate items from her record-breaking Mdna tour to support the effort.
This is not the only time the "Like a Virgin" singer has attempted to help.

St. Petersburg, Russia — A Russian court on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit that sought millions of dollars in damages from Madonna for allegedly traumatizing minors by speaking up for gay rights during a concert in St. Petersburg.
The ruling came after a one-day hearing that bordered on the farcical. During it, plaintiffs claimed that Madonna's so-called "propaganda of perversion" would negatively affect Russia's birthrate and erode the nation's defense capability by depriving the country of future soldiers. At one point, the judge threatened to expel journalists from the courtroom if they laughed too much.
In the end, the Moskovsky district court in St. Petersburg threw out the Trade Union of Russian Citizens' lawsuit and the 333 million rubles ($10.7 million) it sought from the singer for allegedly exposing youths to "homosexual propaganda."
Madonna did not attend the trial, and her publicist Liz Rosenberg said Thursday the star wouldn't comment about it.

As any Madonna fan could tell you, the Queen of Pop is in the middle of the U.S. leg of her Mdna trek and just played—and offended—Denver last night. Madonna had an extra special surprise for one of her biggest (and most famous) fans as her Mdna Tour rolled into Chicago this week.
The Queen of Pop singled out Shaun Sperling, best known as the "Bar Mitzvah Boy" after a 1992 video of him "Vogue"-ing his way into Jewish manhood went viral last month, as she performed "Like a Prayer."
As seen in this exclusive footage above, Madonna leans down from the stage with her microphone, allowing the now 33-year-old Sperling to sing a few lines from her 1989 classic.
Publicist Liz Rosenberg told HuffPost Gay Voices that the pop superstar was unaware of Sperling's YouTube fame. "Madonna never goes to that area of the stage to get people to sing along with her, but clearly she was being spiritually guided to the one person out of 20,000 who deserved to sing along," Rosenberg said.

Madonna's press representative has issued a statement praising her controversial Paris show. According to MTV, Liz Rosenberg claimed that the concert - where Madonna was booed and called a "sl*t" - was planned as a "heartfelt thank you to France". "Despite a grueling concert tour, [Madonna] desperately wanted to perform for her fans in an intimate setting at the historic Olympia as a means to honour her love for French artists, French cinema and a tribute to France's long history of welcoming and inspiring artists, authors, painters, poets and minorities from other countries over the years," said Rosenberg. "The show was not billed as her full Mdna concert and tremendous effort was made to keep the ticket prices reasonable ($$100/£63.50 for 2,000 floor seats) and keep them strictly for her fans." It feels like the perfect time for iconic diva Cher to get her own Broadway musical! Thankfully, one is currently in development, according to the singer. The process is moving along slowly but surely and producers have “been working on it quite a while now," her publicist, Liz Rosenberg, corroborated to Billboard.
On top of the planned musical, Cher has been working on a new studio album with a tour expected to follow. (So much for that three-year, hugely successful "Living Proof: The Farewell Tour.")
The musical is expected to be divided into three segments, with three different actresses portraying Cher in various stages of her life. In an interesting stage experiment, the trio will also reportedly interact with one another through dialog and song.

Madonna's "Mdna" sales may have plummeted in the new record's second week of release, but the singer's friends say it would be foolish to count the material girl out just yet.
"Can't deny that there [was] a drop on the second week of sales, and a significant one, but I would not say the CD tanked," Madonna's longtime publicist, Liz Rosenberg, tells me, responding to reports that "Mdna" has crashed and burned. "It still has had the highest debut of 2012 and was number one in many countries. And the game ain't over."
"Mdna" sold a massive 359,000 copies when it debuted at number one, before sales fell 88 percent to a mere 46,000 copies in its second week.
"This is Madonna's 12th album in a 30-year career," a friend of Madonna's tells me. "She just beat Elvis' record for number ones in the UK. That's a career that anyone in the music business would kill to have.

New York – On Saturday night at the Roseland Ballroom, the Queen of Pop held court with some of her biggest fans and ten of the world's best dancers for the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange's Dance 4 Madonna competition, with one lucky dancer chosen to join Madonna's dance crew.

Madonna may be "very upset" over the premature leak of a demo track from her forthcoming album, but the pop diva was all smiles as she held court Saturday night at New York's Roseland Ballroom, where she handpicked a new dancer for her next tour as part of the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project.
The Material Girl made an appropriately regal entrance, rising from beneath the stage amid a dramatic flood of spotlights to the crowd's delight. Clad in a skintight black bustier, white blouse and her now-trademark Miu Miu boots, she quickly made her way to an adjacent stage where daughter Lourdes Leon, boyfriend Brahim Zaibat, manager Guy Oseary, publicist Liz Rosenberg and a handful of choreographers all awaited her -- no hydrangeas in sight.
Though rumors circulated through the crowd that Madonna would offer up a sneak preview of her highly-anticipated album (set for a tentative spring release), there...

A representative for Madonna has shot down claims that the singer asked volunteers at the Toronto International Film Festival to not look at her. A recent report alleged that the 53-year-old requested that volunteers at the film festival "turn their faces to a wall" so that they would not look at her as she headed to a press conference for her directorial debut W.E.. However, Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg has denied these claims, saying that the singer actually thanked the volunteers for their work. Looks like we aren’t the only ones blasting “Ray of Light” at eardrum-shattering levels 24/7. Just as yesterday’s Madonna Lady Gaga beef gets resolved (‘This is not true. Madonna did not say anything negative about Lady Gaga during her press conference,” Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg has since claimed), Madonna gets sued by her upstairs neighbor over excessive noise complaints. Madge apparently uses the apartment in question as a rehearsal studio, which means her neighbors are lucky this isn’t still 1998. Anyone remember any songs off her Hard Candy album? Imagine hearing those blaring up through the floor boards, if you can.
Reportedly a judge turned down Madonna‘s request to dismiss the suit on August 24, probably because he prefers Gaga. The suit claims Madge’s neighbors are subjected to up to “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls” up to three hours a day, the minimum Madonna is required to gyrate sinuously per diem.

Girrrrrl! If this Madonna Lady Gaga quote is for real, we are now approaching Mean Girls-level cattitude between our two best blonds. “As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment to make about her obsessions having to do with me because I don’t know whether her behavior is rooted in something deep and meaningful, or superficial,” Madonna allegedly told French paper Le Soir. Well, looks like furiously denying ripping off Madonna and swapping your gender wasn’t enough to distinguish yourself, Gaga. Plan C: letting your upper arms get ever so slightly less chiseled than hers.
Before you chalk up Madge’s burn to a mistranslation and burn some sage to get rid of the negative energy in hee, Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg has apparently considering the quote important enough to merit a response, telling E! Online “I do know that [Madonna] has said many supportive things about Gaga over the years.

Madonna is in mourning following the death of her beloved grandmother on Thursday, March 10. The pop legend's maternal grandmother Elsie Mae Fortin passed away at a care home in Bay City, Michigan - just three months shy of her 100th birthday.

A statement from Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg reads, "I'm sorry, but Madonna will not be issuing any statements or conversing with the media regarding her grandmother. It is a totally personal matter to her."

Despite of this a particular reporter from ‘The Insider’ asked a personal question regarding the breakup of Ashton and Demi Moore. This wasn’t expected and thus she was obviously taught a lesson.
