[This story contains spoilers from the first three episodes of season four of The Boys.]
In the great nation of the United States of America — in The Boys‘ parallel universe where satirical humans and superhero characters coincide — the most powerful “supe” in the world, Homelander, is on trial.
In season four’s three-episode opener, Homelander, played by Antony Starr, is facing 12 jurors of his peers for actually doing something a former president bragged he could do over in our real universe: commit a crime in public and get away with it. Alas, such bragging rights prove more favorable in getting a “not guilty” verdict when jurors are mere mortals who the defendant could laser to death with the blink of his eyes, or snap in two with the flick of his wrist. Of course, Homelander is found not guilty.
Season four of The Boys — as creator/showrunner Eric Kripke has explained — reflects even more of the political chaos going on in real U.

Behind a heavy steel door, inside the Los Angeles headquarters of the sixth-largest company in the world, television’s most terrifying villain is wincing and shifting in his chair. His ass hurts. During a trip to Mexico last week, Antony Starr, the New Zealand-born actor who plays Homelander on Prime’s The Boys, sat on a box that turned out to be a thin piece of cardboard covering a portable generator. “The handle went flush up my backside onto my tailbone,” he says, adjusting his position again. “So I’m...

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) compared former President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ at a Las Vegas rally on Sunday. Greene drew a comparison between Trump’s recent hush money conviction and the persecution of Jesus. In May, a jury found Trump guilty of all 34 counts of fraud related to the alleged affair with Stormy Daniels.
“The Democrats and the fake news media want to constantly talk about, ‘Oh, President Trump is a convicted felon,'” Greene said. “Well, you want to know something? The man that I worship is also a convicted felon, and he was murdered on a Roman cross.”
In March, Trump also compared himself to Jesus on Truth Social after a supporter sent him a message with a Bible verse: “Let his days be few; and let another take his office,” a possible reference to the upcoming election.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has triggered online controversy by once again comparing former President Donald Trump to Jesus Christ at a recent Maga rally.
Her statements generated a lot of criticism online, especially from X, with many comparing the Maga group to a cult. Nevada Republican Party Chair Michael McDonald also made statements comparing Trump to a god-like figure.
Marjorie Taylor Greene previously compared Donald Trump to Jesus, and the billionaire mogul has also said he's similar to Christ and the late Nelson Mandela.

The Maga speakers who preceded Donald Trump at his Las Vegas rally evoked religious language to describe their leader. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene compared Trump to Jesus, saying that the messiah was also “a convicted felon.”

Conservative commentator Meghan McCain invoked a famous quote from the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain while criticizing her former co-hosts on The View.
McCain, daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, took aim at Sara Haines in a tweet Thursday. It came after a fan posted a clip of Haines referencing an unnamed past View personality who got “mad about Dr. Fauci” during a discussion about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s criticism of the former Covid-19 adviser.
In the clip, Haines and current View cohosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin reacted to Greene’s criticism of Fauci during a chat about decorum in domestic politics.
“It started, I remember, here, with someone here, getting so mad about Dr. Fauci. It felt like it happened overnight. We went from a pandemic…” Haines said, without explicitly using McCain’s name, later trailing off to address Behar’s apparent confusion over the reference,...

Meghan McCain called out her former co-hosts at The View after Sara Haines alluded to her during the “Hot Topics” segments.
The ABC morning talk show discussed Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene refusing to address Dr. Fauci by Doctor. Haines brought up the point that the villainization of Dr. Fauci had started on the show.
“It started, I remember, here, with someone here getting so mad about Dr. Fauci and it felt like it happened overnight,” Haines said on The View earlier this week.
One of the co-hosts asks, “Someone here?”
The clip of the show was shared on social media, and McCain happened to come across it and reshared it, adding, “This is hilarious.”
“Imagine still being shocked people didn’t want their kids masked, vaccinated with an untested vaccine or to have our families isolated in one state while other states were open for no other reason than politics.

Controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) was rebuked by Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) for refusing to call Dr. Anthony Fauci by his title at this week’s committee hearing.
Greene is a vocal critic of Fauci, the former head of the Cdd, and began a controversial line of questioning during the House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing regarding the origins of Covid-19 and the federal response to the pandemic.
She angered her Democratic colleagues by frequently referring to the president’s chief medical adviser as “Mr.” and saying he was not a doctor.
“Do the American people deserve to be abused like that Mr. Fauci,” she asked Fauci. “Because you’re not a doctor, you’re Mr. Fauci in my few minutes.”
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland) then chimed in to offer an objection to Greene’s remarks.

Congressman Jamie Raskin’s office is busy. It’s the summer interns’ first day, one staffer explains. Constituents and aides flutter in and out of the small lobby, somehow still spacious considering the generally cramped conditions the House’s quarters are renowned for. Everyone is watching the clock, everything is running a little behind schedule.
Raskin himself seems unfazed. The four-term Democratic representative from Maryland has seen it all before. When we sit down in the comparatively quiet sanctum of his office — which doubles as a central meeting room — he’s the picture of relaxation.

Controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) said she wants to “defund” the state of New York state for convicting former President Donald Trump.
Greene proposed cutting the state off from federal funding in an attempt to punish residents after 12 jurors convicted Trump on May 30.
The proposal would cut off access to federal resources for education, housing, law enforcement and veterans’ benefits.
Greene commented during an interview with former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon on the TV channel Real America’s Voice.
“And I think the American people have turned a corner after they watched that conviction come down in New York, to the point where it’s like, you know what? Screw New York,” the Georgia representative stated. “New York doesn’t deserve a damn penny. We shouldn’t fund them one single dime. Not a dime.”

A hearing in the House Oversight Committee once again devolved into chaos as Republican lawmakers attempted to pillory former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci over his involvement in the response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fauci was summoned before the committee on Monday, where Republicans grilled him over the effectiveness of social distancing measures, his relationship with major pharmaceutical companies, and a slew of pandemic-era conspiracies.

Republican lawmakers were apoplectic about the Trump verdict Thursday, with many joining the Maga chorus in declaring it a political, sham trial, in an effort to delegitimize the jury’s decision.

As the GOP struggles to maintain its slim majority ahead of the pivotal November elections, House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office is reeling from the sudden departure of its top staff members.
Raj Shah, Johnson’s well-connected communications director and a former White House deputy press secretary under Donald Trump, is the latest high-profile departure. Shah’s impending exit comes just a day after the resignations of three top policy staff members who had worked for the previous speaker, Kevin McCarthy (R-California).
McCarthy was ousted in an internal party coup last October, but Johnson retained Brittan Specht, Jason Yaworske and Preston Hill, all respected policy experts. It was reported that they all committed to working for Johnson for six months, providing valuable experience and continuity during the transition of power within the Republican caucus. All three will depart at the end of May.

GOP Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) wrote in a social media post that the Biden Administration’s Justice Department tried to “assassinate” former President Donald Trump in a new social media post that shows an escalation in her use of radical language.
The post seems to have started with a statement Trump made on Truth Social, where he claimed without evidence that the Department of Justice “Authorized The FBI To Use Deadly (Lethal) Force” during the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago in August 2022. The search found scores of boxes of classified documents illegally stored at the residence.
Greene went with the former president’s baseless accusation.

Donald Trump’s attorneys discovered four documents marked “classified” in his bedroom four months after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago estate. The new revelation is among those in a new filing by a federal judge in the case.
In the spring of 2022, the Justice Department subpoenaed Trump and directed him to return the classified documents he had taken. However, in June that year, Trump’s attorneys falsely insisted to law enforcement that there were no such materials at Mar-a-Lago. When Trump subsequently refused to comply with the subpoena, the FBI executed the search warrant in August 2022 to retrieve the classified documents.
In December 2022, Trump’s legal team swept his properties and found even more classified documents – this time in the former president’s bedroom. U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell expressed bewilderment at this. “Notably, no excuse is provided as to how the former president could miss the classified-marked documents...

In December 2022, Trump’s legal team swept his properties and found even more classified documents – this time in the former president’s bedroom. U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell expressed bewilderment at this. “Notably, no excuse is provided as to how the former president could miss the classified-marked documents...

Donald Trump’s attorneys recently argued in court that the former president should be shielded from all criminal prosecution — even if they order the assassination of a political opponent. While no president has yet to test that bold legal theory, Trump and his Maga allies are now baselessly attempting to accuse Joe Biden of authorizing the assassination of Trump during the FBI’s 2022 raid of Mar-a-Lago.
Documents unsealed Tuesday revealed that more classified material was found at the former president’s Palm Beach estate after the FBI’s August 2022 raid.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) and Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) got into a heated exchange at Thursday’s House Oversight meeting. The meeting focused on GOP efforts to hold U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress. Garland refuses to release audio recordings of President Joe Biden‘s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.
The conversation veered when Greene tried to connect Democrats to Judge Juan Merchan overseeing former President Donald Trump‘s hush-money trial. Greene also asked if any Democrats employed Merchan’s daughter, a specific attack that led to Trump’s gag order. Trump previously took to Truth Social to insult Merchan’s daughter, claiming she worked for “Crooked Joe Biden.”
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) jumped in on Greene’s rant. “Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland?” Crockett questioned. “Do you know what we’re here for? You know we’re here about Ag Garland?...

Rep. Jasmine Crockett has zero regrets about her heated exchange with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene during a House committee hearing last week, telling CNN that Greene’s insult about Crockett’s appearance was “absolutely” racist.
“Do you think her going after your eyelashes, that that, in itself, is racist?” State of the Union host Jake Tapper asked Crockett on Sunday.
“I think her specifically doing it to me, yes, that was the intent,” Crockett said. “Women wear makeup, we wear lashes, we wear all types of things to beautify ourselves.

Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update reacted to the planned presidential debates between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, as well as an especially viral exchange in the House of Representatives this week involving Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-ga).

“I’m not afraid to testify at all, I’m just not going to out of fear,” said James Austin Johnson ‘s Donald Trump from the hall of a Manhattan courthouse in the cold open tonight of the final show of SNL’s 49th season.
Set to pick up with the defense’s case on May 20, Trump’s hush money trial is never short of providing laughs as much as it is tears. However, while the courthouse was the backdrop, the focus of the beginning of tonight’s show was a potential Vice President. Sen, Tim Scott, played by Devon Walker, and dog-killing South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, portrayed by Heidi Gardner, both got a cameo, but there was only one true contender – at least according to Trump.

On Thursday, a hearing of the Congressional Oversight Committee descended into chaos after repeated outbursts from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.). Tensions throughout the proceeding reached a tipping point in a heated exchange between Greene, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-n.Y.) after Greene made a comment attacking Crockett’s appearance.

C-span coverage of Congress turned into a Jerry Springer-like spectacle of name-calling and insults on Thursday, as a verbal jab lobbed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-ga) triggered an extended period of outcry from several Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.
The purpose of the hearing was to consider whether to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt, a polarizing proposal that quickly made the proceedings raucous. But things got especially chaotic after Greene took a swipe at Rep. Jasmine Crockett over her “fake eyelashes.”
Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-ny) then stepped in to protest Greene’s remarks, telling her, “How dare you attack the physical appearance of another person.”
Greene responded, “Are your feelings hurt?”
“Oh, girl. Baby girl. Don’t even play,” Ocasio-Cortez responded.
Greene said that she would strike her words, but she declined to apologize.

GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Accuses House Speaker Mike Johnson Of Being ‘Owned By The Democrats’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) has accused House Speaker Mike Johnson of being “owned by the Democrats” in a new interview.
Greene’s allegations come as a response to Johnson’s perceived unwillingness to “defund Jack Smith,” the special counsel who has brought two indictments against former President Donald Trump.
“Mike Johnson is owned by the Democrats, and that proved to me to be right again,” Greene stated in an interview on Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo. She went on to claim that it was not Republicans who saved Johnson from her “motion to vacate” his position, but instead Democrats, such as former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) and former House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler (D-New York).
“When you have Nancy Pelosi, who was Speaker of the House when they impeached President Trump twice, and you have Jerry Nadler, who was chairman of the Judiciary Committee that led the impeachment against President Trump,...

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker kicked the hornet’s nest last weekend when he encouraged the women of Benedictine College’s 2024 graduate class to embrace their roles as wives and homemakers rather than putting their degrees to use. While the speech drew widespread criticism for his characterization of women and LGBTQ+ people, Butker also promoted an insidious piece of antisemitic misinformation pertaining to legislation in Congress.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said he is backing the former naval pilot Aaron Dimmock as a primary opponent against his nemesis, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida).
Gaetz is one of the eight Republicans responsible for his being ousted as House speaker.
“Gaetz is the Hunter Biden of the Republican Party,” the ex-House Speaker stated during an interview with Politico. “He’s got an opponent who is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, trained at Pensacola, went to the Naval Academy and flew jets to defend us while Gaetz was getting kicked out of high school, buying coke and paying minors for sex.”
McCarthy was speaking about the House Ethics Committee investigation, which began in 2021, over allegation the Florida representative had breached sex trafficking laws and had relations with a 17-year-old girl.
Gaetz replied to McCarthy’s support of the ex-naval aviator on the platform X.

Marjorie Taylor Greene forced a vote to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday evening, a move her colleagues in Congress quickly voted to kill.
The House voted 359-43 to table the motion, with 193 Republicans siding with 163 Democrats in striking it down.
Greene has been teasing that she will force a vote to oust Johnson despite garnering virtually no support for the move, and former President Donald Trump reportedly telling her over the weekend to drop the stunt. She seemed ready to do so yesterday, but went ahead and forced the vote on Wednesday.

Update: The House of Representatives overwhelmingly rejected Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s effort to oust Speaker Mike Johnson, a move that would have sent the chamber into another round of chaos.
Greene’s motion to oust Johnson was tabled 359-43, with seven members voting present. Eleven Republicans and 32 Democrats voted against sidelining the motion.
The vote was a resounding defeat for Greene, who had insisted that she had substantial support for her effort.
CNN and MSNBC did extensive coverage of the vote, but Fox News largely stuck with The Five, doing a more complete update on Special Report at 6 p.m. Et.
That’s quite a contrast to October, when the House rejected efforts to table a resolution to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy. He then was removed as speaker, with 208 Democrats joining with eight Republicans.
That led to a protracted effort to find a successor who could amass a majority to become the next speaker.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) shot back at Fox News after columnist Liz Peek wrote an op-ed in which she called the Georgia representative an “idiot.”
“It’s high time someone in the Republican Party told Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to turn all that bombastic self-serving showmanship and drama queen energy on Democrats and stop trying to defeat her own party,” Peek wrote in her op-ed, which was titled, “Marjorie Taylor Greene is an idiot. She is trying to wreck the GOP.”
Peek noted that the representative “would rather burn down the House, metaphorically speaking, than work towards the greater good.”
She added, “The greater good, unless she and her fellow discontents in Congress have forgotten, is defeating Joe Biden in November.”
She later mentioned in her op-ed that “the internal squabbles of the party” must end.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed a ban on lab-grown meat to “save our beef” from the “global elite” and its “authoritarian plans.”
The newly enacted law is the first of its kind in the nation and prohibits the sale and distribution of lab-grown meat in Florida. Similar initiatives are also being implemented in Alabama, Arizona and Tennessee.
DeSantis declared, “Florida is fighting back against the global elite’s plan to force the world to eat meat grown in a petri dish or bugs.”
Lab-grown, or “cultivated,” meat was approved for consumption in the United States in 2022. The production process involves extracting cells from an animal and nourishing them with essential nutrients like proteins, sugars, and fats. The final product is genetically identical to conventionally sourced meat. Various studies indicate that consumption of cultivated meat can significantly benefit the environment, reducing carbon emissions, water usage and land requirements compared to conventionally produced meat.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina) lashed out at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia), stating that she is “bringing down brand of the Republican Party” and is placing the Republican Senate majority at risk.
“I think she’s uninformed,” Tillis stated in a clip played on CNN news anchor Erin Burnett.
“She is a total waste of time,” he added. “She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down. She – not the Democrats – are the biggest risks to us getting back to a majority.”
The North Carolina senator’s comments came after Greene criticized the GOP’s move to pass a $95 billion foreign aid bill.
This bill, passed by the Senate on April 23 and signed by President Joe Biden the next day, includes aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan and provisions that might lead to a national ban on TikTok.

In 2022, the fall of Roe v. Wade ignited concerns that access to contraception may be the next target. Legislative records of many Republican lawmakers reveal that these fears are not baseless.
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas advocated for a reconsideration of long-standing precedents, such as the landmark 1965 Griswold v. Connecticut decision, which granted married couples the right to use contraceptives without government interference. Thomas’s opinion poses a direct threat to contraception rights.
President Joe Biden recently announced measures aimed at reducing barriers to contraceptive access. On Twitter, Biden accused “Maga Republicans” of attempting to restrict women in America from safe and Fda-approved contraception, even in states where women’s healthcare choices remain protected.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) challenged the president’s statement and asserted that “Maga Republicans” are not trying to obstruct women’s access to contraceptives and that Biden shouldn’t mislead women by suggesting that...

The former GOP speaker, Newt Gingrich, offered advice for House Speaker Mike Johnson on how he can deal with the “narcissists” in the GOP.
Gingrich attacked hard-right disrupters, calling them “narcissists” and “selfish idiots” while also praising the way Johnson handled an unmanageable caucus.
“[Johnson] has the narrowest majority in modern times, and it’s not a true majority because he’s got six or eight narcissists – people who think that they individually get to screw up everything,” the former GOP speaker told Politico.
He also called out Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) during this interview.
“I think they self-define,” he said of the GOP members. “I’d start with Gaetz, but I would say the list goes on. He’s the super narcissist.”
Gingrich attacked Gaetz for ousting former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on October 3, 2023, and the continued dysfunction.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has not given up her quest to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, demanding he either “resign” or “be vacated” after ushering through legislation to send military aid to Ukraine on Saturday.
“Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” Greene told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.

In a demonstration of her opposition to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s proposed foreign aid package, controversial Rep.Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) presented a series of amendments to the bills on Wednesday. Among these amendments was a peculiar suggestion to allocate funds for the “development of space laser technology on the southwest border.”
Greene, whose political reputation was tarnished in the early stages of her congressional term when Media Matters exposed her claim in a social media post that “Jewish space lasers” were responsible for a wildfire in California, proposed a plan to utilize such space lasers to safeguard the southern border of the United States.
On Wednesday, Greene posted to X, “I’ve previously voted to fund space lasers for Israel’s defense. America needs to take our national security seriously and deserves the same type of defense for our border that Israel has and proudly uses.”

After months of delays, the House of Representatives passed a foreign aid package that would send funding to Ukraine and Israel — and encompassed a ban on TikTok — in a Saturday vote, despite the vocal opposition from some far-right members of Congress to the former.
All 210 Democrats present for the vote sided in favor of the Ukraine aid bill to help the beleaguered nation currently at war with Russia, while 112 Republicans voted against it. The vote comes after intense pressure on Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana), who faces threats of being removed...

As the House moves to vote on Ukraine aid this weekend, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) suggested, without any evidence, that House Speaker Mike Johnson might be being “blackmailed.”
“Mike Johnson has made a complete departure of who he is and what he stands for,” Greene told conservative commentator Tucker Carlson during an interview on his show, Tucker Carlson Uncensored. “And to the point where people are literally asking — is he being blackmailed? What is wrong with him? Because he’s completely disconnected with what we want.”
Carlson asked her if she believed that Johnson was being blackmailed.
“I have no idea,” the Georgia Representative responded. “I can’t comprehend, Tucker.”
During the interview, Greene listed off more policy areas she feels that Johnson has not paid attention to, such as border security, anti-abortion and anti-trans legislation.
“I mean, what in the world happened?” she asked. “And you can’t help but wonder,...

For all the time Republicans spend complaining about the economic struggles faced by everyday Americans, they remain steadfast in their commitment to ensuring major corporations can continue squeezing their customers.
Late Wednesday afternoon, the GOP-controlled House Financial Services Committee voted to advance a bill that would repeal a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Cfpb) rule that drastically reduces the caps on credit card late fees — from $30-$41 to $8. The legislation would also repeal the Cfpb’s ban on automatic adjustment of late fees due to inflation. In the Democratic-controlled Senate,...

The Senate has voted to dismiss the primary articles of impeachment leveled against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Senators voted to dismiss the charges against Mayorkas after just a few hours of contentious procedural discussion on the Senate floor, rebuking GOP efforts to make an immigration scapegoat of the secretary despite their own repeated obstruction of legislation aimed at quelling undocumented immigration at the southern border.
In a historic vote, the Senate voted 51-49 to dismiss the first article against Mayrokas, accusing him of “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has gained an ally in her crusade to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson from his position as head of the Republican caucus. On Tuesday, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) announced that he has signed on to co-sponsor Greene’s motion to vacate against Johnson.
“I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by [Greene]. He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker,” Massie wrote on X.

Former GOP Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colorado) slammed GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for getting talking points from Russian President Vladimir Putin while threatening to remove House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Now that Congress has returned from recess, Johnson has to figure out how he can pass new aid for Ukraine, something that far-right Republicans such as Greene oppose.
Greene slammed Johnson for holding a vote to fund Ukraine, saying it was one of the most “egregious things” he could do.
“Moscow Marjorie is focused now on this Ukraine issue, getting her talking points from the Kremlin, making sure she is popular, and getting a lot of coverage,’ Buck told CNN’s Erin Burnett Outfront.
Buck, one of the eight Republicans who voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, accused the Georgia representative of always focusing on her social media account instead of the national interest.

Donald Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) have endorsed a bill that would ban non-citizens from voting in federal elections — a thing that is already illegal.
If you haven’t already guessed, the legislation is a brazen stunt intended to gin up public support for a former president campaigning on an anti-immigration platform and a house speaker on the brink of being ousted by extremists in his caucus.

The campaign of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that a fundraising email labeling the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot defendants as “activists” was a mistake.
These emails, which were sent to Kennedy’s supporters last week, called WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange a “political prisoner” and suggested that he and Capitol rioters were victims of an “outrageous miscarriage of justice.”
“Rarely do opposites attract, especially in Washington,” the email stated. “Yet regarding the case of Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder who is facing extradition to the U.S., both hard-right Marjorie Taylor Greene and hard-left Ilhan Omar Agree: We Must Free Assange Now!”
“The Brits want to make sure our government doesn’t kill Assange,” the letter claimed. “This is the reality that every American Citizen faces – from [Edward] Snowden to Julian Assange to the J6 activists sitting in a Washington D.C. jail cell stripped of their Constitutional liberties.”

Welcome to ElectionLine’s A View From Abroad series, in which we speak with media figures who don’t live in America but keep a close eye on its politics. Every few weeks, these smart observers will provide a unique perspective on what promises to be a fraught and unpredictable campaign for the White House. This week, our interview is with Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel, the former BBC presenters who now host podcast The News Agents – USA.
Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel beat the UK’s major news networks in gaining access to Mar-a-Lago on Super Tuesday. They entered Donald Trump’s Florida estate with a simple ambition to test the mood inside the ex-president’s camp, but ended up being told to “f*** off” by one of his most fanatical supporters.

It’s eclipse day in America, and if you thought Fox News was going to act normal about it, you were wrong.
The right-wing news network wasted no time on Monday attempting to link the moon’s brief blotting out of the sun to migrant crossings at the Mexico border.
“Fox News alert! A rare celestial event collides with a policy failure on the ground. The southern border is directly in the path of totality today when the moon covers the sun,” host Dana Perino said during Monday’s broadcast of America’s Newsroom.
