The handgun authorities allege a man used to injure an Alaska police officer this weekend has been linked to five unsolved homicides — potentially revealing the identity of a suspected serial killer, police announced Tuesday.
James Dale Ritchie, 40, was killed in a shootout with police in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday after allegedly shooting officer Arn Salao several times, NBC News reports. Now, police say they have linked Ritchie’s weapon to five killings in the city, whose residents have reportedly been on edge for months about a possible serial killer.

Long before Tim Burton's movie, a Mars Attacks screenplay written by Alex Cox lists Donald Trump as an ex-us president...
Mars Attacks! is likely remembered by most as a Tim Burton joint. Released in 1996, the alien invasion comedy featured an eclectic cast - Danny DeVito, Michael J Fox, Tom Jones and Jack Nicholson to name a few - and stood as a macabre counterpoint to that year's other big invasion flick, Independence Day.
Mars Attacks had a long half-life in Hollywood before Burton even got involved, however. The project was originally dreamed up by Repo Man director Alex Cox, who'd collected the infamous trading cards of the same name when he was a child. Cox first proposed an adaptation for Mars Attacks to Orion Pictures in 1985, and wrote three drafts of a screenplay over the course of four years. You can read drafts two and three...

Those of you who are fans of “Iron Man 3′s” Facebook page already knows that they’ve been revealing the new many armors in ol Shellhead’s repertoire for his latest adventure over the last few days, and now all six have been revealed. Will we see all six armors in the movie? That’s probably a given, since one of the most recent “Iron Man 3″ trailer showed a hell of a lot of armor in use by the superhero. In “Iron Man 3″, Tony Stark’s world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, forcing Stark to start on an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution. I know, it sounds very depressing and dark, but let’s face it, this is “Iron Man”, it’s not going to be that dark. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall,...

So there’s a Potential Spoiler in this new International TV spot for director Shane Black’s upcoming “Iron Man 3″, which comes on the heels of that Kids Choice Awards TV spot. It seems to take place early in the film, so in my mind it’s not much of a spoiler, but just in case some of you would rather see this for yourself in the big screen, you should avoid the new spot below. You have been warned. In Marvel’s “Iron Man 3″, Robert Downey Jr. suits back up as Tony Stark, whose world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin (played by a very non-Asian-ish Ben Kingsley), forcing Stark to go on an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution and good ol fashion revenging. Hey, sometimes you just gotta take this stuff personally, ya know? The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle,...

Disney recently released their 2013 movie slate, including official synopsis and all that good stuff. The release also included images, and one of them is a new shot of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man from Shane Black’s “Iron Man 3″, looking like he’s seen way, way better days. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? “Iron Man 3″ also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley,...

Frankly, I’m sure 99% of moviegoers won’t care or won’t know that Iron Man’s new swanky armor in Shane Black’s upcoming “Iron Man 3″ is called the Mark Xlvii. But, you know, it is, and here’s a new look at it jumping into action. Granted, it’s just an artistic pic of the armor in battle, but it’s a nice looking one, isn’t it? “Iron Man 3″, starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, James Dale Badge, Jon Favreau, and Ashley Hamilton, finds the armored Avenger battling terrorists and a scientist who has invented a new, dangerous nanotechnology capable of creating supersoldiers. We’re told that the film’s first teaser trailer and official poster are due by next week, with the film itself hitting screens next year on May 3, 2013. Until then, check out the Mark...

What's Jack Nicholson's secret? Maybe it's the eyebrows, hovering like ironic quotation marks over every line reading. Maybe it's the hooded eyes, which hold the threat of danger or the promise of joviality -- you're never sure which. Same with that sharklike grin. Or maybe it's the voice, which has evolved over the years from a thin sneer to a deep rumble, but is always precisely calibrated to provoke a reaction. Put them all together, and they say: "I am a man to be reckoned with. Ignore me at your peril." Nicholson, who turns 75 on April 22, is often criticized for relying on his bag of tricks, for just showing up and doing Jack Nicholson (though indeed, he often seems to have been hired precisely for that purpose). But he's also capable of burrowing deep into a character, finding his wounded heart, and revealing the ugly truth without fear or vanity.

The summer of 1996 saw two alien invasion flicks, Independence Day and Mars Attacks!, dueling for clout at the box office. Independence Day would be out of the gate first and dominated the box office. Mars would be second out of the gate and suffer for it, although it was a burning cow of a different color. The red planet Mars has sent an invasion force of little green men. In Washington, D.C., President James Dale (Jack Nicholson) and his administration, lecherous press secretary Jerry Ross (Martin Short), scientific advisor Professor Donald Kessler (Pierce Brosnan), and meek Lt. General Casey (Paul Winfield), want to make some positive press thinking that the Martians come in peace. Hawkish General...

Tonight, President Barack Obama will deliver a highly anticipated address on the matter of national health care reform. The speech, undoubtedly one of the most important of Obama's career, has been described by insiders as a "game-changer" regarding his position on health care. Still, while Obama is an indisputably gifted orator and his speech tonight is of paramount importance to the people of America, can he measure up to some other famous Presidential addresses -- particularly on the subjects of alien invasions and imminent, Gary Oldman-led terrorist attacks?
If these five fictional Presidential speeches are any indicator, President Obama has his work cut out for him when speaking to the nation tonight.
Air Force One: President James Marshall, played note-perfect by Harrison Ford, will not negotiate with terrorists. Instead, he'll systematically execute them in the midst of a mile-high plane hijacking. But Marshall's handiness with a firearm is second...
