Fantastic Four's Human Torch Actor Opens Up about His Intense Transformation ahead of the 2025 Movie - Main Image
With filming for The Fantastic Four slated to begin next month, this generation’s Human Torch shares an update on what preparations are underway for his biggest role yet.
In an interview with British GQ, Joseph Quinn reveals that he has finished costume fitting and is undergoing physical training by “eating stuff and lifting things. I’m working with someone great—if you’d cast someone as a personal trainer, you’d cast him, he’s a rhinoceros of a man,” he says.
While his character is not expected to have a Thor-like build, Quinn confirms that he will don a "skin-tight suit" in the movie.
He also expressed his excitement to work with John Malkovich, who has been added to the movie in an undisclosed role. “He’s one of my all-timers,...

Ridley Scott has never been a filmmaker afraid of an epic scale, but according to actor Joseph Quinn, he may have outdone himself on “Gladiator 2.” IndieWire reports (via GQ) that Quinn often filmed sequences of the upcoming sequel with eight cameras, sometimes even on single scenes. Scott would then piece together camera shots to get what he wanted.

While there are directors with strong opinions on comic book films, often targeting the face of it all, Marvel Studios, there is no shortage of impressive actors who have starred in these superhero films. You have actors like Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Josh Brolin, Michael B. Jordan, Scarlett Johansson and more who have proven their abilities in more dramatic fares. There are even some older iconic actors that have dabbled in the genre, like Robert Redford, Michael Douglas, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Costner and Michelle Pfeiffer. And let’s not forget names like Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson starring in the ones that legitimized the genre.
Russell Crowe is also someone who lent his talents to multiple superhero films. He was Jor-El in Man of Steel, Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder and he will be seen in the upcoming Spider-Man Sonyverse film Kraven The Hunter as Kraven’s bad dad.

Russell Crowe has been chatting about Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2, and has admitted he has a concern or two about the film.
Spoilers for Gladiator lie ahead.
Currently undergoing additional photography work in the UK is this winter’s belated sequel to Gladiator, which we’re cunning calling Gladiator 2. Whether it’ll end up being called Gladiator 2 is still unclear, but let’s go with it.
It’s 24 years since the original film, which won Russell Crowe an Academy Award for Best Actor, and there’s been no shortage of talk since of a possible follow-up. Yet for, well, reasons, the follow-up hasn’t happened. It’s only now that Ridley Scott is back on set, shooting a new movie, this time with with Paul Mescal donning the armour instead of Russell Crowe.

Currently presiding over Gladiator 2 reshoots, 86 year-old director Ridley Scott has confirmed that he’s got his next three films lined up and ready to go.
Eighty-six years old. Eight cameras at a time. Three films lined up. At this point in his career, numbers don’t seem to mean a thing to Sir Ridley Scott – and why should they? Scott is still making major moves, with the legendary filmmaker revealing to the Financial Times that he already knows “what my next three films will be”.
But we’ll return to that in a moment. FIrstly, let’s talk about those eight cameras. Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn, one of the stars of the upcoming Gladiator 2 has told GQ that Scott was sometimes using up to eight cameras at a time on the set of the film, shooting the action from multiple angles and then figuring out how to assemble it later.

Ridley Scott has been busy working on the sequel to his critically and commercially acclaimed hit, Gladiator. Coming more than two decades after the first film starring Russell Crowe was released, it stars Paul Mescal in the lead as Commodus’ (Joaquin Phoenix) nephew, Lucius.

Russell Crowe is sharing his thoughts on the Gladiator sequel, which will drop in theaters later this year.
The actor starred in the 2000 Ridley Scott film but is not part of the sequel as his character, the Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius, died. Crowe doesn’t seem particularly thrilled that the film is getting a sequel 24 years later.
“I’m slightly uncomfortable with the fact they’re making another one — because, of course, I’m dead and I have no say in what gets done,” Crowe said on the Kyle Meredith With… podcast. “But a couple of the things I’ve heard I’m like — no, no, no, that’s not in the moral journey of that particular character. But I can’t say anything, it’s not my place, I’m six foot under. So we’ll see what that is like.”

“Gladiator” changed Russell Crowe’s life. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance as Maximus in Ridley Scott’s Roman Empire epic and spent a few years as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The film means a lot to him personally. So he’s having some mixed feelings about “Gladiator II,” Scott’s upcoming sequel starring Denzel Washington and Paul Mescal as Maximus’ son, Lucius.
Spoiler alert for a 24-year-old movie: Maximus dies at the end of “Gladiator.” So Crowe is not in “Gladiator II,” and he’s not involved with the production. In an interview with radio host Kyle Meredith, Crowe admitted to being “slightly uncomfortable” with the fact that they’re making another “Gladiator” film.

Ridley Scott wanted to tell the story of “Gladiator 2” with as many cameras as possible, according to actor Joseph Quinn.
The “Stranger Things” star told GQ that Scott would film with eight cameras at once for even just a single scene. Scott would then piece together the desired shots.
“I was like, ‘Eight cameras?’ and he’s like ‘You gotta know where to fucking put ’em,'” Quinn said. “Clearly he does. Watching that puzzle, watching him harness all those pieces and put them together was fascinating, truly.”
“Gladiator 2” stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, the nephew of since-deceased Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) who was killed by Russell Crowe’s Maximus. Lucius is the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and grandson of Marcus Aurelius, and originally played by Spencer Treat Clark in the 2000 feature.

There are many examples of sequels that proceed without the original film’s star. Gladiator II will obviously not be able to feature Maximus Decimus Meridius after his arc ended in the first film. However, that will not stop attention being paid to Russell Crowe for the upcoming sequel despite the fact that he has no involvement. Last year, Crowe joked that he should be reimbursed for all the Gladiator II questions he’s fielded, “They should be f*cking paying me for the amount of questions I get asked about the f*cking film that I am not even in,” adding, “in that world, I’m dead, six feet under. And that’s that.” However, he also thinks the movie is bound to be extraordinary. “If Ridley has decided to do a second part … he will have really strong reasons…I couldn’t think of that movie being less than absolutely spectacular.

The first Gladiator film starring Russell Crowe was a seminal film that ushered in the beginning of the new century. The film showcased Crowe at his best as an actor, while also reminding audiences of the brilliance of Ridley Scott as a director. The film went on to win Best Picture and Best Actor for Crowe. Many still rewatch the film and celebrate its narrative triumph.

Russell Crowe has admitted that he’s “slightly uncomfortable” with the fact that Ridley Scott is making a sequel to “Gladiator.”
Crowe played the lead character, Maximus Decimus Meridius, in Scott’s 2000 epic, which won him an Oscar for best actor and launched him to worldwide fame. Now, “Normal People” breakout Paul Mescal is starring in “Gladiator II” as Lucius Verus, the grandson of former Emperor Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris). The movie not only earned him an Academy Award, but it became a classic historical drama and was loosely based on actual happenings around Ad 180 in the Roman Empire.

Russell Crowe is sharing his thoughts on Ridley Scott‘s Gladiator sequel, admitting that he’s “slightly uncomfortable” that it’s being made.
During a recent interview with Kyle Meredith, the Oscar-winning actor said, “I’m slightly uncomfortable with the fact they’re making another one — because, of course, [my character is] dead and I have no say in what gets done. Paul Mescal has been seen for the first time in character on the set of Gladiator II. The actor was caught on camera as Lucius Verus, the grown-up son of Lucilla and nephew of Commodus. The Irish actor, best known for his role in Normal People, was spotted in full armor during a fight scene in East Sussex, according to photos published by MailOnline. Filming Resumes After Morocco Schedule Filming recently resumed in East Sussex for reshoots after the initial production wrapped up in Morocco. Ridley Scott’s sword-and-sandal sequel Gladiator 2 is out in November, but is now undergoing reshoots in Sussex. Paul Mescal’s been photographed in his Roman garb.
Filming on Ridley Scott’s belated sword-and-sandal sequel Gladiator 2 wrapped in January this year, and the reports from test screenings was highly positive. More recently, however, came news that the production would be gearing back up again for a round of reshoots – and judging by some recent photographs, they’re fairly extensive.
Star Paul Mescal has been captured in his full Roman warrior costume, while other candid photos from the set show a huge army of extras and horses in formation – it looks as though what’s being filmed in a field somewhere in Sussex is some sort of battle sequence.
The images from the reshoots were spotted by World of Reel, and originally published in a British newspaper whose name rhymes with Hazy Jail.

Russell Crowe is "slightly uncomfortable" that 'Gladiator 2' is being made. The 60-year-old star played Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius in Sir Ridley Scott's original historical epic and admits that it is disconcerting to see the story revisited with Paul Mescal in the lead role.Speaking on the Kyle Meredith With... podcast, Russell said: "I'm slightly uncomfortable with the fact they're making another one – because, of course, I'm dead and I have no say in what gets done. "But a couple of things I've heard I'm like, 'No, no, no, that's not in the moral journey of that particular character.' But I can't say anything, it's not my place, I'm six foot under. So we'll see what that is like."Crowe won the Best Actor Oscar for his work on 'Gladiator' and admits that seeing the sequel – which is set to be released later...

If we wanted to be frank, Gladiator II, when originally confirmed, was among the more unexpected sequels we got. It’s not that we did not want it… but there was a feeling that we did not want it 20+ years later and in a phase when Hollywood was scraping off the success of previous movies and franchises. Sure, the history of Roman gladiators is a rich one, but when Scott’s original film first aired, especially with what happened to the main character, no one really wanted a sequel more than two decades later. But, here we are… we’re back in Ancient Rome, and the movie is, if everything goes according to plan, going to come out on November 22, 2024, and will star Oscar-nominee Paul Mescal as Lucius Verus, a character from the first movie.

Russell Crowe has admitted that he’s “slightly uncomfortable” with the idea of upcoming sequel to Gladiator that’s currently in production.
Crowe famously starred in the 2000 historic epic, winning an Academy Award for his performance as the Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius. Now some 24 years later, director Ridley Scott is putting the finishing touches on a sequel film centered around the character of Lucius, the nephew of Joaquin Phoenix’s Commodus who was saved by Crowe’s Maximus in the original movie.
As Crowe’s character dies at the end of Gladiator, he will not appear in the upcoming Gladiator 2. He nonetheless had some a few thoughts on the sequel in a recent interview on Kyle Meredith With…

Das Original: Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, und George Harrison in „The Beatles: Get Back“ (Credit: Apple Corps Ltd.)

Writer, director, and producer Zack Snyder has become forever entwined with comic book cinema, with many devoted fans knowing him best for his work with the DC universe, but once upon a time he directed a very different kind of comic book movie. Nearly 20 years ago, back in 2006, a little movie called "300" blew everyone's minds and kicked itself into the pop culture consciousness, teaching us all about the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and his 300 Spartans held off a massive Persian army under King Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). Sure, it wasn't super historically accurate because it was based on the graphic novel by "Sin City" artist and scribe Frank Miller (with colors by Lynn Varley), but it was impossibly cool. It inspired all kinds of tributes and spoofs and even a spin-off film, "300: Rise of an Empire," which showed the naval side of the battle,...

An interesting development arises in the ongoing return of Alien to our screens: series regular, Ridley Scott is said to be developing his own long-form story.
Ever since the release of Alien: Covenant in 2017, the Alien franchise has been absent from our screens. Although it’s been clear that work has been going on in the background, things have taken their time, not least because the last few years have been rather tumultuous for in-development projects.
Considering that Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant remains largely unloved, there also seems to be a concerted effort to make sure that the next wave of Alien stories land with audiences, not least because the property is one of the undoubted jewels in the 20th Century Fox crown. You know, the one that Disney paid a whopping $71.3bn for back in 2019.
There are two Alien projects that we know of to date.

Life’s a (permanent) beach for Pedro Pascal in a new Corona commercial titled “La Vida Más Fina (The Finest Life),” a play on the beer’s tagline “La Cerveza Más Fina.”
“I, Tonya” filmmaker Craig Gillespie directs the outrageous short film that captures Pascal wandering through bars, restaurants, and town centers as sand, flora, and fauna beckon him back to the beach. It’s very much a fantasy sequence considering the busy actor has no actual time to vacation.
Pascal will appear in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II,” Ari Aster’s “Eddington,” and soon make his Marvel debut in the new “Fantastic Four.” Plus, he’s back for “The Last of Us” Season 2 — find a first look here. Exclusive: Paramount Pictures has launched development on What Kids Want, a new feature scripted by the Like a Boss duo of Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly, sources tell Deadline.
The film follows up the high concept comedies What Women Want (2000), starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt, and What Men Want (2019), starring Taraji P. Henson and Tracy Morgan, both of which were distributed by Paramount. While the former centered on a man suddenly gifted (or cursed?) with the ability to hear the thoughts of women, the latter reversed the equation. The new film will, of course, involve a look into the minds of children.
Todd Garner will produce for Broken Road Productions, alongside Gina Mathews and Grant Scharbo for Little Engine Entertainmemt. Matthews comes to the project after producing What Women Want, along with such rom-coms as 13 Going on 30, All My Life (alongside Garner) and Isn’t It Romantic?...

Denzel Washington is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors who has graced the silver screen with many acclaimed performances to his credit. The actor has played heroic characters for most of his career in impressive films such as Mo’ Better Blues, Philadelphia, Courage Under Fire, and Glory winning an Oscar for the latter.
Denzel Washington as Easy Rawlins in Devil in a Blue Dress
His second Oscar win for Best Actor came with his antagonistic turn as Alonzo in Antoine Fuqua’s Training Day. Washington had never played a sleazy and morally complicated character like Alonzo before. However, he was vying to play one much before that film and one such antagonistic performance that he was envious of was of Don Cheadle in Devil in a Blue Dress.

The first trailer for Thelma, the June Squibb-starring comedy about a grandma going John Wick on senior scammers, has arrived.
Thelma follows Squibb as 93-year-old Thelma Post, who is duped out of $10,000 by phone scammers pretending to be her grandson (Fred Hechinger). After the police say they can’t help her, she enlists the help of her friend Ben (Richard Roundtree), and sets out for revenge. Filling out the cast will be Parker Posey, Clark Gregg, Malcolm McDowell, and more.
The film is due in theaters on June 21st, released via Magnolia Pictures. Watch the trailer below.
Thelma first premiered this past January at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. In her review, Consequence’s Liz Shannon Miller praised the film’s mixture of comedy and genuine depth of feeling, calling it a “love letter to grandmas.”
This is just the latest project for a still-quite-active Squibb, who appeared in Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead...

We’re mere weeks away from A Quiet Place: Day One premiering in cinemas this June and Paramount have released a new trailer for the horror prequel.
Take a look at the new A Quiet Place: Day One trailer below:
The new trailer shows a lot more chaos as the aliens land on Earth and hunt by sound. Lupita Nyong’o’s character teams up with Joseph Quinn to escape the city of New York and hopefully find safety. Something tells us that’ll be somewhat difficult to do when you’ve got aliens crawling up and down New York skyscrapers.
A Quiet Place: Day One is hitting cinemas 28th June.
Our original story follows:

We can’t stop here! This is Bear Country! While Russell Crowe passes the Gladiator torch to Paul Mescal for Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, the Oscar-winning actor is getting behind the bar for Derrick Borte’s upcoming action-thriller Bear Country. The project marks another collaboration between Crowe and Borte after teaming up for Unhinged, a thriller starring Crowe as an unstable man obsessed with a woman after a spat of road rage.
According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, Bear Country finds Crowe playing an aging but redoubtable club owner, Manco Kapak, whom a masked gunman robs. When the robbery sidelines his retirement plans and his girlfriend grows distant, his aspirations to live a quiet life shatter like glass breaking against a hardwood floor. As cartel bosses harass Manco and a young status seeker aims to purchase the club, Kapak must decide how to show them who the boss is.

Strikes and delays have reportedly seen the budget on Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski’s Formula 1 movie race past the $300m mark.
If a new report’s accurate, then Apple Studios is in the process of spending a quite sinister amount of money on its forthcoming Formula 1 movie.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, the film doesn’t currently have an official title – the word was that it was called Apex, also the name of a 2021 Bruce Willis action flick, though that hasn’t been confirmed so far.
What it does have, though, is an absolutely enormous budget; according to Puck, as picked up by World of Reel, the spend so far has breached the $300m mark.
The distribution rights to the movie were snapped up by Apple in 2022, with the company no doubt attracted by the pairing of producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Kosinski, who’d...

The first reviews for the Gladiator 2 trailer footage have been released online after critics reacted to footage shown at CinemaCon.
Fans are highly anticipating the release of Ridley Scott's Roman epic later this year, starring Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Pedro Pascal. Scott is back to direct the sequel following 2000's Gladiator, led by Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix.
After initially being announced in 2018, filming took place in 2023 and was interrupted by the writers' and actors' strikes, but is now fully complete and ready to be released.

The 28th annual American Black Film Festival will feature a first-of-its-kind retrospective celebrating the career of double Oscar winner Denzel Washington, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Retrospective: Celebrating the Legacy of Denzel Washington program will “take attendees on a journey through Academy Award-winning actor and director Denzel Washington’s cinematic legacy, showcasing his extraordinary talent and enduring impact on the film industry,” a release reads. “The program will feature themed activations and screenings throughout the festival of some of his most iconic films.”
Washington will appear onstage for the festival’s final night, in a conversation celebrating “his achievements on screen but also his significant cultural impact off-screen as a director, producer, humanitarian, husband and father.”
Washington will star opposite Paul Mescal in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 in November, and is producing the adaption of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson for Netflix. It stars son John David Washington...

It is said that good things come to those who wait. After making audiences wait for 24 years following his blockbuster Gladiator in 2000, Ridley Scott is back with a much awaited sequel to his Oscar-winning film which will release at the end of year in November 2024. A star-studded cast featuring Pedro Pascal, Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Joseph Quinn is adding further hype.
Russell Crowe in Gladiator
The film which was test-screened in Las Vegas, is already attracting a lot of attention and praise for Scott’s work. While a few significant scenes and the production design are predicted to leave audiences awestruck, there were three actors whose performances in the film were lauded according to initial rumors from the screening.

Reactions from an early test screening reveal that Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 is 160 minutes long, and suggest that it’s thankfully rather good.
A difficult production reportedly led Gladiator 2's budget to balloon to as much as $310m – a figure that Paramount has since disputed. All the same, there’s a lot riding on Ridley Scott’s expensive, highly-anticipated sequel to his own 2000 historical epic – we’ve been particularly looking forward to it since we learned that Paul Mescal will at some point fight a pack of baboons. More on that shortly.
Ahead of its release towards the end of the year, Gladiator 2 has been test-screened to a select audience in Las Vegas. That’s according to World of Reel’s Jordan Ruimy, who’s rather good at getting the inside word on early screenings such as this.

Deemed one of the greatest actors in Hollywood, Denzel Washington exudes a classic movie star aura. Renowned for his enduring charm and the seamless blend of irony and sincerity in his iconic roles, Washington embodies the timeless essence of a Hollywood legend. He is also known for avoiding the franchise films, with the notable exception of The Equalizer trilogy.
A still from The Equalizer trilogy | Sony Pictures
He has also been commended for the same by being named the second-highest-grossing actor to not star in a franchise, following the Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio. However, Washington did not seem to mind the ranking, as he responded with a touch of wit.
Denzel Washington Has no Issues Losing to Leonardo DiCaprio
In a conversation with ScreenRant, Denzel Washington expressed his disinterest in sequels and potential franchise films, as he highlighted his approach of focusing on each film individually rather than considering potential sequels.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson will star in Hell Or High Water director David Mackenzie’s British thriller Fuze, due to start filming in June.
As we reported in February, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is going to be leading the cast of a new British-set action thriller titled Fuze. While rumours regarding the actor’s chances of being the next 007 refuse to go away, Taylor-Johnson looks to have secured himself another chance to build on his excellent action credentials.
The film is being directed by David Mackenzie, the filmmaker behind 2016’s hugely underrated Hell Or High Water, a Texan bank heist drama starring Chris Pine that is well worth seeking out if you haven’t seen it yet. Following that, Mackenzie collaborated with Pine again on 2018’s Outlaw King, although that film released to a more muted reception.

How Politics Affects Superhero Flicks: ‘Venom 3’ Changed Release Dates Due to Elections, Reports Say

A few weeks ago, it was announced that the latest Ssu entry, ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will be released on October 25, which is quite a shift from its previous release date, scheduled on November 8, 2024.
Shifting release dates are nothing new for movies but in most cases, the movies in question get delayed and not advanced, which was quite a surprise. Fans did not however question at the time, and now the latest report from Variety, points in the direction that the movie shifted its release date due to upcoming US elections.
During election seasons, particularly around major elections like presidential elections, media coverage can dominate public attention. Movies may choose to avoid releasing during this time to ensure they don’t compete for audience attention with election-related news and events. Marketing costs a pretty penny, sometimes further bloating the development costs, so it doesn’t make all that much sense...

Several weeks ago, it was revealed that the newest Ssu installment, ‘Venom: The Last Dance,’ would hit theaters on October 25, a notable change from its original November 8, 2024 release date.
While changes in release dates are common for movies, they typically involve delays rather than advances, making this shift quite unexpected. Fans didn’t raise questions initially, but a recent report from Variety suggests that the movie’s change in release date is due to the upcoming US elections.

After reaping the rewards of a protracted growth spurt, Italy’s film industry is facing a forced slowdown as the country’s right-wing government dithers with modifications they plan to make to several key regulations, most significantly to the country’s now stalled tax incentives for film and TV production.
At a packed protest event held earlier this month in Rome’s Cinema Adriano multiplex, industry figures from all sectors – including producers, writers, actors and big-name directors such as Paolo Sorrentino and Marco Bellocchio – lashed out against having to wait endlessly for the government to approve new guidelines so production companies can apply for the 40% tax credits that basically drive the business. Some are also concerned that their projects might end up not complying with still murky new eligibility criteria.

I get to write about movies for a living. That is both odd and wonderful. It's something I don't take for granted. Even my worst day doing this is so much better than my best day working customer service. That, to me, is "the dream." But there are things I look forward to in this odd line of work that are awesome well beyond my day-to-day. Specifically, getting to cover big events such as San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars Celebration, among others. These are truly remarkable experiences I wouldn't trade for the world. Last week, I had the pleasure of crossing a big one off of my bucket list: CinemaCon.
Those who don't obsess over the movie industry would be forgiven for not even knowing what CinemaCon is. It's an industry trade show and a gathering of theater owners in Las Vegas where all of the major studios show...

We’re leaving Las Vegas.
CinemaCon 2024 is over — time for studios to go out and prove their pitches at the box office. Based on what we saw, or really what we didn’t see, that will be an uphill battle.
First, let’s take a moment to appreciate the folks and films that showed up. Arguably, the biggest star to attend CinemaCon was Kevin Costner. The cynical point of view? He was pitching not one but two “Horizon” films to theater owners — and simultaneously pitching third and fourth installments to Warner Bros. Plus, Costner received a trophy (the CinemaCon Visionary Award), for which WB execs shooed him offstage just to call him back up. Kinda silly. Speaking of WB execs and no-shows, if David Zaslav was in town, he didn’t come on stage.
Jeff Goldblum did, as did his fellow “Wicked” co-stars Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Michelle Yeoh.

Fans of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator franchise must be rejoicing after the first footage from the much-anticipated sequel to the 2000 blockbuster was screened for CinemaCon goers last Thursday. An introduction from the director all the way from London was shown at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Russell Crowe in Gladiator (2000)
With Paul Mescal in the lead, the movie promises to be “possibly more extraordinary than the first” as the veteran filmmaker pledges the second installment is worth the twenty-four years of waiting.
Gladiator 2’s First Footage Introduces Paul Mescal On The Lead
The footage exhibited the first look at Paul Mescal as Lucius, the nephew of Commodus and the son of Lucilla. The figure appeared astoundingly fit and fighting inside the arena against a man carried by a rhino and a herd of baboons. The character says:
“I remember that day. I never forgot it. That a slave could take revenge against an emperor.
