Since premiering on Netflix back in 2018, Elite has introduced a new crop of talented young actors to the world.
Over the years, many of the original cast members have left the smash hit behind to explore different projects, but Elite keeps coming back with new stars to fill its roster. That very much includes Alex Pastrana!
Alex, who you might also recognize from Netflix’s series Welcome to Eden, made his debut in the show’s sixth season playing Raul, an influencer with a dark side and an unhealthy relationship with Sara (Carmen Arrufat). The couple ended the season with a cliffhanger and will be back in action when the forthcoming seventh season premieres later this month.
Ahead of that, we caught up with Alex via email to learn more about his experience on the show.

"You don't have as much control as you think you have!" Amazon's Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for a Spanish mystery fantasy action thriller titled Awareness, a film by Spanish filmmaker Daniel Benmayor. This premiered in Spain earlier this year, and will be available for streaming worldwide in October. A teenager lives with his father on the outskirts of modern society and runs small scams with his ability to generate visual illusions upon unsuspecting victims. Things get complicated when his powers get out of control in public, with a mysterious agency coming after him. As he tries to evade capture, Ian discovers he's not the only person with these powers and that his whole life has been a lie. This sounds like a very similar premise to Freaks (2018). Awareness stars Carlos Scholz, Pedro Alonso, María Pedraza, Óscar Jaenada, and Lela Loren. This one also reminds me of Hypnotic,...

Additionally, Zoa’s link, Nico, and Saul got into a fight, which resulted in Nico’s passing. Joel killed Saul, but we later learned that Saul was the one who threatened Astrid with death and even attacked Erick. In the meantime, we learned what Astrid’s true motivation was for establishing the cult. Astrid and Erick were both interacting with alternative universes, and they discovered a “New Eden” in a separate galaxy where environmental issues like pollution and global warming hadn’t yet taken hold. Astrid’s ambition is to relocate to “New Eden” and bring her followers with her. Previously, in “Welcome to Eden,” Episode 3, Nico learned that Saul had threatened Astrid with death. Saul was the one who’d even attacked Erick and stabbed him. Saul, however, had to kill Nico by stabbing a knife into his neck while he was on his way to hand himself in. After Nico vanished, Eden implemented a voting system, and it was agreed that senior staff would determine who would survive and who would die. Saul, meanwhile, was planning a follow-up assault on Astrid while revealing his identity as the assailant who stabbed Erick. Furthermore, Mayka assisted Charly and Africa in escaping the cell, yet, Africa struck Saul in the head to protect Astrid. Though Africa had a chance to survive as she saved Astrid’s life, Charly was able to get out of the cell in the interim. Let’s see what decision Astrid would take against Charly.

Previously, in episode 2 of “Welcome to Eden,” Nico conducted a search around Saul’s module and discovered a note from his mentor implying that Saul was the one who issued death threats to Astrid. Nico intended to turn him in to advance his position in Eden, but Saul didn’t let that happen. He stabbed Nico in the neck and fled, abandoning him to die. As Nico took his final breath, Zoa stayed by his side. Meanwhile, Charly and Africa were still in prison. Astrid was going to decide who to execute first, but Erick considered that Astrid would not be the one to decide anyone’s life or death in Eden, so a voting system among Eden’s top-ranking personnel would be implemented to make the appropriate decision.

Previously in Episode 1 of “Welcome To Eden” Season 2, we saw Africa being captured by Astrid after discovering the transmission room. Though Astrid planned to kill her later, Erick, who had recently recovered from his injury, wanted to protect Africa. He informed Africa of their interplanetary endeavor to discover a new Eden and relocate there. Africa didn’t buy it, but Erick appeared to be telling the truth. It could have been a fervent belief or the final truth that Astrid’s cult was working towards. However, Zoa and Gabi met in Eden and chose to keep their relationship a secret. Following Ulises’ death, level-two guards were instructed to identify the murderer, and Eva assisted them by claiming that Eloy had killed Ulises. Welcome to Eden is a Spanish series for Netflix created by Joaquín Gorriz and Guillermo López Sánchez starring Amaia Aberasturi, Amaia Salamanca and Belinda.
The second season of this series of beautiful people, framed in an idyllic landscape, takes us to this plot of crimes, ambitions and lots of unleashed hormones.
It may not have pleased the critics, but the formula has worked for them in terms of audience, so we won’t get too much into it, because the audience is the harshest critic and this industry, after all, is here to entertain the public.
Welcome to Eden gives what the public wants from it, and its success speaks for itself.

Despite a ton of new streaming titles last month, nothing could touch “Ozark.” However, it was Hulu’s “Candy” that managed to catch a ton of attention in its release week — marking the streamer’s most successful original launch in nearly a year.
The final episodes of “Ozark” easily secured the No. 1 spot on Nielsen’s Top 10 list for the week of May 9-15. According to Nielsen, the drama series netted more than 1.7 billion minutes viewed, which was a nearly 50 decrease from the week prior but still almost a billion minutes ahead of “The Lincoln Lawyer” — the second series on the list.
“The Lincoln Lawyer,” also a Netflix series, debuted on May 13. In its first few days, it drew 884 million viewing minutes. The audience for the adaptation of Michael Connelly’s novel “The Brass Verdict” was over two-thirds 50 and older, per Nielsen.

After almost three absurdly long years, “Stranger Things” Season 4 is just around the corner. A tentpole series for Netflix — at a whopping production cost of reportedly 30 million per episode — the fan-favorite sci-fi show that launched its young adult cast, led by Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard, into superstardom will be dropping new episodes May 27.
And, according to the Emmy-winning series’ executive producer Shawn Levy, it’s going to be “harrowing,” “cinematic” and “epic.” He told TheWrap in a recent interview, “This is so much more story and runtime than ever before, not by a little. By a lot.”
The last month of spring will also see the return of reality series titles like “The Circle” — a social media-driven competition series where players catfish, befriend and flirt with each other with the aim of winning a grand cash prize — and “Bling Empire” — which centers on a group of uber-wealthy Asian American friends in Beverly Hills.
