Calling All Units, the second paid expansion for The Crew, is now available across consoles and PC, and the electrifying launch trailer is here to prove it.
Priced at $25 as a standalone purchase – a price that also includes the racer’s first Dlc, Wild Run – the add-on brings with it a new storyline in which players take control of Clara Washington, an elite enforcer tasked with chasing down illegal street racers nationwide. Should you choose to venture over onto the other side of the law, Calling All Units also heralds the option to “go on the run from the cops in a huge selection of new heavily modified street rides.”
Speaking of which, The Crew‘s second slice of content will open up more than a dozen new vehicles – such as the Nissan Gt-r and Jeep Wrangler, to name but two – while users can look forward to a handful of...

Whenever a collection of classic games is released, I always find myself picking it up. Despite not usually having nostalgia for these retro packages (as my first console was the Genesis), I love learning more about the medium that I love, and it’s typically a good way to experience games that I missed out on. Typically this experience is hit-or-miss as for every one game I end up loving, there are usually a handful of titles that are only interesting to look at through a historical lens.
The latest retro video game collection comes in the form of Atari Flashback Classics Volume 2. This $20 package features 50 games in total, with 9 being arcade games, and 41 Atari 2600-era titles. Since the games are the main reason why anyone would pick this up, and there are way too many of them to touch on individually, here’s the full list of arcade titles: Asteroids,...

The Microsoft unveiling is still another 12 days away, though details have been seeping out regarding what might be showing up at the widely-anticipated reveal on May 21st. Regardless of what might appear, here’s what we want to show up on the release slate for October or November (or whenever the damn thing ends up coming out!) Naturally, a lot of the games are sequels, but I’m also counting on a few surprises; perhaps a few games we thought were dead, and some that we wouldn’t expect to be showing up on a next-generation console.
As always, a next-gen console launch is an extremely exciting time to be a gamer. How’s about Microsoft really gives us something to be excited about and delivers these 10 games I am crossing my fingers for. Here are 10 launch titles we want announced for the Xbox 720 (or Durango, or Fusion, or whatever...

Square Enix has announced that the first October Dlc pack for Sleeping Dogs will launch next week on October 16th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

In addition to the new races, the Dlc will give players a new Sting superbike in their garage and add the Dragon outfit with racing jacket/helmet (which reduces damage from both accidents and gunfire) to the safehouse’s wardrobe.
Sleeping Dogs‘ Street Racer Dlc pack launches on October 16th on Xbox Live (320 Microsoft Bucks), Psn ($3.99/ €2.99 / £2.39), and Steam ($3.99 / €2.99 / £2.39).

A 1999 demo promoting the ruinously expensive Shenmue (called “What’s Shenmue?”) featured an exclusive scene in which then company president Yukawa-san could be seen slumped at his desk, head in hands, surrounded by piles of unsold consoles (above). Deep down, Sega must have known the Dreamcast didn’t stand a chance even before they axed it two years later.
Even though the Sega Dreamcast enjoyed a relatively short lifespan (officially somewhere between its 1998 Japanese launch and late 2002 termination) and wasn’t supported at all by the most powerful publisher of the day (Electronic Arts) the well-loved machine still boasts an impressive library of titles.
Even extending this “best of” list, from the originally planned 10 to a whopping 30 games, has seen me leave out such gems as cult top-down shooter Ikaruga, well-regarded sports sim NHL 2K2, online deathmatch game Outtrigger, stylish BioWare-made shooter MDK2 and Street Fighter III: Double Impact (to...

Recent releases by The Asylum have left me debating their oddly fascinating approach, praising when they very occasionally get things right and finding myself more than a little annoyed with their gimmicks. So when four Asylum flicks landed on my doorstep for review I approached with caution but also with as much of an open mind as I could manage, as I try to with any new release.
That said the hit to miss ratio with The Asylum swings rather strongly to the miss side so in an effort to rip the plaster off quickly, if this turned out to indeed be necessary, I settled down to watch all four films in a row. A mistake you might think but contained within were some pleasures, but unfortunately a whole lot of messy half-arsed filmmaking too. Like a moth to a flame…
