Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton took the stage together again, this time for her NBC Christmas special.
The couple performed their holiday hit, “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” during Stefani’s one-hour holiday program by the same name, which aired on Tuesday evening.
Though the pair only shared a sweet hug following their duet, the mother of three, 48, and this year’s Sexiest Man Alive, 41, couldn’t take their eyes off each other.
Stefani called herself a “lucky girl” on Twitter, writing, “It was incredible to write with @BlakeShelton & share the stage for a song that is so joyful & Christmas-y!

There’s no doubt in Gwen Stefani‘s mind that boyfriend Blake Shelton is the Sexiest Man Alive!
The 48-year-old “Hollaback Girl” singer swung by The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday, where she gushed about Shelton’s People honor.
“For me, it’s just that big ol’ heart and that sense of humor,” Stefani said, describing why she finds Shelton sexy. “He doesn’t even take himself seriously and he’s just such an incredible person. And that’s sexy to me.”

Well I don’t know about you but considering that the Kardashian and Jenner clan are kind of, well, off, I don’t pay that much attention to them. But hey, if you want to feel marginalized there’s now a way to do it even more efficiently. Those at the UK clothing line Missy Empire have been “kind” enough to create something called the Kardashian Income Calculator, an app that actually lets you see just how much you earn, or in fact don’t earn, when compared to the Kardashian/Jenner family. It’s no secret that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are crazy about each other. There’s never a shortage of adorable photos of the two of them, and they’re well into the closet-sharing phase of their relationship. The couple’s been dating for nearly two years at this point and the Pda only continues to get more adorable – and more elaborate.
Yesterday, the couple stepped out in Beverly Hills looking casual in denim, but there was one very extra thing about Gwen’s outfit: a special someone featured on the star’s classic checkerboard Vans.

Make no mistake about it, the competition on The Voice is steep. And we’re not just talking about the rivalry amongst the show’s many contestants who are all working tirelessly with their mentors, honing their craft, and singing their hearts out every week, but the antagonism between the all-star coaches is also nothing to scoff at. While it’s Blake Shelton and Adam Levine who have the show’s most pronounced conflict, albeit all in good fun, regularly making jokes at one another’s expense, Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys aren’t exactly pushovers either. British up-and-comer Bel Powley is outstanding as a girl who comes of age in mid-70s San Francisco in Marielle Heller’s striking debut
Be warned: The Diary of a Teenage Girl is not nearly as jolly as its poster suggests. It features young lead Bel Powley, who plays 15-year-old Minnie Goetz, sitting on a sofa flanked by Kristen Wiig and Alexander Skarsgård, all looking faintly stunned, with cartoon flowers unfurling behind them. You may expect a brittle, slightly goofy comedy of family tensions along the lines of Juno – and Diary has something of that – but this is altogether a more confrontational, melancholic affair.
In the UK, the film has received an 18 certificate for “strong sex”, which means that viewers of Minnie’s age won’t officially be able to go and see it (yes, an 18 is really going to dissuade them). For the benefit of the faint-hearted, the rubric...

Confession time: I watched "The Bachelor" ... and I liked it. I've been hopelessly and unfortunately trapped in the series' web of tears, overly-earnest declarations of love and tacky dresses -- and I'm far from alone.
I'm a relatively new devotee to this cultural phenomenon, which first hit the small screen in 2002, and has spanned spin-offs "The Bachelorette" (2003) and "Bachelor Pad" (2010). After avoiding the franchise successfully for nine years, I was invited to a viewing party by some women that I worked with during Ashley Hebert's season of "The Bachelorette," last May. I was officially hooked, following Ashley through her engagement to Jp Rosenbaum, watching all 18 "Bachelor Pad" contestants simultaneously self-destruct and now I'm knee deep in white wine tears on "The Bachelor" -- despite the glaring fact that each of the three series is objectively horrendous. (If you look up "trash television" in the dictionary, you'll probably find former...

When Bands Attack Bands sounds like such a natural TV show for the outer edges of the cableverse that it's a miracle no one has yet made it. If any programmers are reading, might I suggest you take a look at the thread beneath Bob Stanley's article last week, in which he mulled over musicians rowing over who owns the band's name. Honestly, you'll find enough material for a whole series.
An award for conspicuous devotion to duty in the face of multiple groups all claiming to be the real thing (not the Real Thing) goes to Kalyr: "There are currently two Wishbone Ashes and two Barclay James Harvests on the live circuit, each with one surviving original member. Having seen all four live, I would say the better live bands are versions that aren't the legal owners...

A great song is a gift to the world. And if, through luck and skill, it becomes well known, it takes on a life of its own. Past a certain level of fame, it comes to seem less like a created artifact than a given, a product of the natural world that’s always been part of the landscape -- an effect I first consciously experienced back in June of 1989 when I went to hear Ashford & Simpson at Radio City Music Hall and they performed some of the Motown hits they’d written for other artists before the duo’s own recording career took off. I was well aware of the fact that the writing credits on "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough," "Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing," etc. were theirs, but hearing them perform the songs really drove home the point that these two flesh-and-blood people standing...

New York - Motown star Nick Ashford, who co-wrote some of the stand-out soul songs of the 1970s and '80s, has died at age 69 after a battle with throat cancer, Us media reported Tuesday. Ashford died Monday in a New York hospital. With his wife, Valerie Simpson, the Ashford and Simpson duo wrote hits such as Ain't No Mountain High Enough, You're All I Need to Get By, Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing, and Solid (As a Rock). Along with songwriting, the pair produced Diana Ross' first three solo albums and the 1968 hit I'm Gonna Make You Love Me.

Catwoman's suit in "The Dark Knight Rises" might not look like much on the surface, but apparently it has a violent streak.
The images of Anne Hathaway that hit the web last week showed her riding an all-terrain bike down a set of stairs, and according to reports things went a bit awry during the stunt. When Hathaway's stunt double was performing that scene, the bike ended up running into one of the production's IMAX cameras. Apparently neither the camera nor the cameraman were injured in the crash, but we're hoping that wasn't the extra 90 percent Hathaway was talking about in her recent MTV interview:

There was a rumor that Bruce Springsteen would make a special appearance at the latest stop on U2’s 360º tour, New Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., but it didn’t happen. No matter. U2 electrified the massive, sold-out venue on its own.

Over the course of two hours at U2′s 360 Tour show last night in Philadelphia, Bono mentioned Burma, the Middle East and AIDS in Africa. He devoted songs to Gabrielle Giffords (her husband Mark Kelly made a taped appearance from space) and Nelson Mandela. Amnesty International members brought lanterns out on the stage and Burmese political prisoner (released last November) Aung San Suu Kyi made a videotaped impassioned plea.

Rumors first surfaced about Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio being an item last month when they were both at the Cannes Film Festival. It was just a few weeks after his split from Bar Refaeli was confirmed, while Blake has been single for months since breaking up with Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley. Blake and Leonardo have taken their new romance on a European tour for the last few weeks, moving between France and Italy. She and Leonardo were on a boat in Venice just yesterday, evidently not letting Blake's nude photos scandal get in the way of their blossoming connection. It's quite early to know what's up with these two, but tell us what you think about Blake and Leo's Summer connection - fling or possible real thing? Blake and Leo's Summer Romance - Fling or Real Thing? Fling - They're both too fresh from long-term romances to commit again.

Poor Emily! She feels so alone when Brad fails to stay in touch and backs out of plans to visit — it was finally too much for her to take!
Bachelor Brad Womack doesn’t know how to treat a woman. Over the past few weeks, he’s reportedly been neglecting his fiancee Emily Maynard, not calling for days — to the point that she had to call it quits.
“Brad would go days without calling Emily or responding to her,” a friend tells Life & Style magazine. “Emily has spent nights alone in bed crying, waiting for Brad to call her back or pick up the phone when she’s called him.”
Brad even skipped out on trips to go visit Emily in Charlotte. “He’s backed out of plans to come and visit her,” says the friend.
“He’s even gotten drunk and canceled a flight at last minute,” adds the friend.

Ira Glass and crew have caused quite a stir with a radio show in which they rediscover what may have been an early formula for Coca-Cola. The one my father, Charles Salter, found in 1979.
Maybe you heard the story that went viral today about how the original recipe for Coke may have been revealed after being closely guarded by the company for 125 years. ABC, CBS, NPR, Time, USAToday, Al Jazeera English--everybody’s on the case. Maybe you’ve seen the photo of the hand-written recipe in question (above). My dad, Charles Salter, took that photograph 32 years ago as a columnist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The column was called the "Georgia Rambler." He’d travel the state looking for colorful people and places, often stories with a historical bent. One of his best sources was the late Everett Beal, a fishing buddy of his who worked as a pharmacist in Griffin,...

As soon as we thought we could predict the outcome of the Oscars, here comes another surprise! This one's brought to you by the Writers Guild of America. Picked for Best Original Screenplay was Christopher Nolan's "Inception." The director, famously dissed for not getting a Best Director Oscar nomination, may just win the Best Original Screenplay come Oscar night. Oscar front-runner, "The King's Speech" was not nominated because it didn't quality under union rules which prompted Nolan to say during his WGA acceptance award that he looked forward to a time when he could accept the award "without qualification."
That could be the beginning of a great script Mr. Nolan, go write it :happy
For adapted screenplay, I'm happy to report that Aaron Sorkin's fantastic script won! Based on "The Accidental Billionaires" by Ben Mezrich, "The Social Network" was the only film last year that I predicted to win this very category.

With the help of MTV and its heavy rotation of the video for "Epic," Faith No More rose to prominence in the late 1980s. The band’s third album, and first with its new lead singer Mike Patton, Real Thing was an instant classic and made heroes of its makers. What do you think of her latest shoot?
Madonna is back as the face of Dolce & Gabbana for the fall/winter 2011 campaign where the star showed off a more domestic side in the black and white shoot, inspired by Italian actress Anna Magnani and the Italian masterpieces of cinematography. Shot by Steven Klein in Harlem, the Material Girl is seen shopping in a street market with her son, enjoying Sunday dinner with the family, and with a grandmother who’s sewing her skirt seam.
I have to admit — Madonna is looking prettier than ever in the latest shoot, and I really like the softer side she’s showing off. What do you think? Do you like Madonna better when she’s so sexed up or when she’s playing a housewife?

Eva Mendes, the star of the upcoming action-comedy, The Other Guys, is no stranger to stripping down for nude and teensy, weensy Calvin Klein underwear shoots.
But now the 36 year-old admits that going naked is still “scary.” She even has to give herself pep talks when she’s on one of those sexy shoots — “If a negative thought pops into my head, I talk to the voice within me and say, ‘I know you want to tell me that I’m less than desirable, but not now. You can come back in a couple of days and cut me down when I’m done with this shoot.’”
Well, glad to hear you’re human, Eva. And that you’re not one of those catty girls that doesn’t like other women. “You know those girls who say they don’t have any girlfriends? I always say, run for the hills when you hear that!
