The Playboy Club's Karyn Usher has moved on to another project. Deadline reports that Fox has ordered a pilot for a procedural spy drama she wrote. The thriller centers on "the orphaned 17-year-old daughter of a CIA operative who is recruited to become an operative herself. She encounters a mysterious rogue agent/assassin who serves as both her surrogate father and professional mentor in the spy world."
20th Century Fox TV, Mary Adelstein and Shawn Levy’s studio-based 21 Laps/Adelstein Prods is overseeing the project. Usher, Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Levy are serving as executive producers.
Fox picked up the project in September, and it marks Adelstein and Usher’s third project together. They have previously worked on such shows as Prison Break and the U.S. version of the British show Daylight Robbery. This will be the fourth series pick up for Fox, who already has one spy related project in the works.
