Beloved ‘90s teen drama Dawson’s Creek is coming to Netflix in November and all is right with the world. Except for…well, this one thing. Netflix announced Dawson’s Creek’s arrival via its Twitter account and tried to get ahead of some bad news.

Yes, unfortunately none of the 128 episodes of Dawson’s Creek coming to Netflix will be accompanied by the show’s absolutely iconic theme song: Paula Cole’s “I Don’t Wanna Wait.” To the properly ‘90sified brain, even the mention of the words “Dawson’s” and/or “Creek” will trigger the opening bars of that song as a Pavlovian response. “I don’t wanna wait. “Dawson’s Creek” is set to stream on Netflix next month, and long-suffering fans will not be surprised to hear that the streaming version show will continue to exist without Paula Cole’s iconic theme song.
Cole’s”I Don’t Want to Wait” was the instantly memorable theme song across all six seasons of the WB teen drama, but the song was replaced for the home video and streaming release due to rights issues, much to the chagrin of fans who grew up watching the show’s original run.
Instead, newcomers to the series in the streaming era have been greeted by Canadian musician Jann Arden’s “Run Like Mad.” (The song was actually recorded as the original theme song for the show and was used as such in international markets where Sony didn’t have the rights to “I Don’t Want to Wait.”)

It’s probably both surprising and old news to long-time readers (because I write snooty reviews, and talk about ABC Family a fair amount), but I’m simply a huge fan of ABC Family. I can’t really say why, and it isn’t exactly that I’m the world’s biggest Pretty Little Liars fan (though I was Aria once), but there’s something about the network and the show’s it delivers that, fan of any particular title or no, makes me happy they exist.
Even shows like Melissa & Joey, which seem to shut me right out on paper, have won me over as not only some of the coolest shows on TV (given sufficient demographic caveats), but moreover as strong arguments that television isn’t just about rotting your brain (though who would think I would be on the wrong side of that argument?). Look no further...

ABC Family's "Switched at Birth" is pretty much what it sounds like - the tale of two teenage girls who discover that the hospital swapped up their ID tags when they were born.
One of them, Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) drives a BMW, lives in a mansion, and attends a fancy private school. The other, Daphne Vasquez (Katie LeClerc), went deaf after an illness in infancy, and has grown up in a less desirable neighborhood with her single mother.
While Marano is recognizable, particularly to "Gilmore Girls" fans, LeClerc is a newer face. She's has had small roles on "Veronica Mars" and "Hard Times of Rj Berger," but "Switched at Birth" is her first high-profile gig.

Pen Densham is the director behind The Kiss starring exotic beauty Joanna Pacula, ever so wholesome teen superstar Meredith Salenger, the legendary Jan Rubes and feature directing superstar Shawn Levy (Cheaper by the Dozen, Night at the Museum, and Date Night to name a few). The Kiss deals with the title smooch being passed down from one generation to the next. Unfortunately, for poor little Meredith Salenger she is next in line to receive this deadly kiss from her aunt, Joanna Pacula. Initially a flop when it first came out, The Kiss has found an ever growing following over the past few years due to the film being released at the height of the DVD craze. We had the chance to ask Pen Densham a few questions about The Kiss. Here is what he had to say.
So who is Pen Densham and what are you all about?
Wow – Not an easy question.

Chicago – “In Plain Sight” has not really built the loyal following of other basic cable shows like “Burn Notice” or “The Closer” and I wish the show would try harder to live up to its potential but it’s still wildy entertaining and features one of the better TV actress performances from Mary McCormack.
DVD Rating: 3.5/5.0
The opening narration of “In Plain Sight” sets the stage better than I possibly could - “Since 1970, the Federal Witness Protection Program has relocated thousands of witnesses - some criminal, some not - to neighborhoods all across the country. Every one of those individuals shares a unique attribute, distinguishing them from the rest of the general population. And that is, somebody wants them dead.”
In Plain Sight: Season Two was released on DVD on May 9th, 2010.

McCormack, star of “Private Parts, “1408,” and a Tony nominee, is perfectly cast as U.

Yet another teenage based tale of terror is coming to the CW television network, and we're starting to wonder ... doesn't scary shit happen to adults anymore? Or maybe we're just a little wiser and don't find ourselves in the stupid situations that today's youth do. One thing's for certain ... we won't be banging any sparkling vampires any time soon, that's for sure.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the CW has just greenlit a live action adaptation of Tara Bray Smith's novel Betwixt. Feature writer Elizabeth Chandler (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) has penned the script for the full film pilot and is executive producing with Paul Stupin (Make It or Break It).

"Betwixt" (CBS TV Studio/Wbtv)
Writer/Ep: Elizabeth Chandler
Ep: Paul Stupin
Logline: Based on novel of the same name, “changelings” in an urban setting are responsible for saving humans from evil.

The CW went for star power behind the camera in its latest round of pilot pickups, ordering dramas produced by "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere and "Smallville" leading man Tom Welling.
The network on Tuesday greenlighted "HMS," "Hellcats" and "Betwixt," all from WBTV and CBS Studios.
"HMS" and "Hellcats" received presentation orders, while "Betwixt" will film a full pilot.
"HMS" is about the exploits of the sexy freshmen class at Harvard Medical School through the eyes of a young female student. "Mystic Pizza" writer Amy Holden Jones penned the script and is exec producing, with Panettiere serving as co-exec producer.
"Hellcats," an ensemble show set in world of competitive college cheerleading described as "Election" meets "Bring It On," was penned by Kevin Murphy who is exec producing with Welling.

Welcome to your Monday morning television briefing. Torchwood star John Barrowman has told BBC1 Radio host Chris Moyle that he is meeting with the producers of ABC's Desperate Housewives about a possible role on the series next season. "I'm off to Los Angeles on Sunday again," said Barrowman on the air. "I probably shouldn't say this but I've got a meeting with the execs of Desperate Housewives; can you believe it, I'm going to be a Desperate Housewife!" No word yet on what role Barrowman could be playing or if a deal is in place for the actor to come on board the long-running drama. (Guardian's Media Monkey) The Chicago Tribune's Maureen Ryan is reporting that former Battlestar Galactica co-star Michael Hogan will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of Fox's Dollhouse this fall. Hogan, set to appear in the second episode of the sophomore season, will play "a...

USA Network has renewed sophomore drama "In Plain Sight" for a third season.
Additionally, the network is finalizing a deal to renew the show's companion on Sunday nights, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."
That, combined with last week's orders for the red-hot Thursday duo of "Burn Notice" and "Royal Pains," means that USA has picked up all of its series that were up for renewal; that is an impossible feat for a broadcast network and very rare for a cable net.
But USA is completely dominating the cable ratings with big help from its slate of six original series: the newly picked up quartet and hits "Monk" and "Psych."
"It's a great run," president of original programming Jeff Wachtel said. "We have an incredible team, and we also have gotten a little lucky."

"Make It or Break It" is making it at ABC Family.
Halfway through its 10-episode freshman run, the drama series set in the world of competitive gymnastics has received an additional 10-episode order.
The second batch of 10 segments is slated to air in the first quarter of 2010.
Airing behind ABC Family's top-rated series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," "Make It" ranks as the network's second-highest rated series ever.
Holly Sorensen created the drama, starring Peri Gilpin and Candace Cameron Bure, and is executive producing with Paul Stupin.
"Make It" was the first of three new series ABC Family launched this summer.
A decision on the other two, comedies "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Ruby & the Rockits," is not expected until September.
