“The Deed,” which starred real-estate developer Sidney Torres and filmed in New Orleans, has been canceled by CNBC, TheWrap has learned exclusively. The original series’ spinoff “The Deed: Chicago,” which stars Sean Conlon as host, lender and mentor, continues its sophomore season tonight with Episode 202.
Torres’ O.G. “Deed” aired its final episode on July 25, 2018. Its fate was never announced, but we now officially know there will be no third season of that version.
CNBC did not respond to TheWrap’s request for comment on this story. “The Deed” still has a presence (separate from “The Deed: Chicago”) on CNBC.com’s landing page for its primetime series.

On Wednesday’s “The Deed: Chicago,” star Sean Conlon lends another couple several hundred-thousand dollars at an interest rate of 15%. For the privilege, the CNBC primetime episode’s subjects also coughed up 30% of their profit to the real-estate mogul — but they gain one hell of a house-flipping partner.
Those pricey-looking terms are the same as last week’s season premiere (but they are not the same in all episodes). They’re also a bargain, Conlon told TheWrap.
“That 15% figures in a lot of things going wrong,” he said of tonight’s loan, which goes to up-and-coming flipper and ex-con Marcello. “It’s actually not that expensive.”

“[Marcello] got a cheaper rate than he would have if he walked into the office,” Conlon said, referring to that 15% number as “the benefit of being on television.

Look out, Hgtv: CNBC is programming “Real Estate Thursdays” into its primetime lineup. The cable channel has ordered three new real estate series — including one from “Bachelorette” couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers — and renewed “The Deed: Chicago” for Season 2.
Also greenlit to series are the multimillion-dollar estate-sale show “Listing Impossible” and the fairly self-explanatory “Five Day Business Flip.” Finally, CNBC has placed “Simonsen Says,” which follows top real estate broker Lisa Simonsen, into development, the net announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association press tour.
“Whether it’s investing or building or selling, real estate remains one of the best and fastest ways to build wealth,” said Jim Ackerman, executive vice president of CNBC’s primetime alternative programming. “These new shows and our returning series, ‘The Deed: Chicago,’ are a perfect fit for our primetime slate.”

CNBC is focusing on real estate as a programming growth area, with three new original series on that theme joining the primetime lineup in May.
The business network made the announcement during NBCUniversal’s day of cable network presentations at TCA winter press tour.
Listing Impossible follows superstar real estate agent Aaron Kirman and his team as they work to sell multi-million dollar estates that have languished on the market. Cash Pad (working title) is a home renovation series in which Bachelorette couple-turned-home flippers JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers transform ordinary homes and apartments into lucrative short-term rental properties. Five Day Business Flip (working title) features a husband-and-wife design duo who remodel small businesses by creating additional money-making operations for them and do it all in five days.

Jessica Jones, Season 1
Created by Melissa Rosenberg
Released November 20th, 2015 by Netflix
Five episodes watched for review
Is there more to say about gritty, troubled superheroes? Yes, according to Jessica Jones, the latest Netflix entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After this year’s Daredevil, a show following the modern trend of dark comic book characters kickstarted by Christopher Nolan’s Batman films but dating back at least to the work of Frank Miller and Alan Moore, the thought of the style being passé seemed more than plausible. Especially in light of sharing a distribution platform with Daredevil, creator Melissa Rosenberg appeared to have her work cut out for her in making Jessica Jones stand out.
And to a certain extent, the series is of a kind with its moody forbears. The voice-over narration and shadowy city streets establish a strong linkage to film noir, revisiting ground well trodden by...

Ok, things are getting real on NBC's The Voice tonight. Five artists will compete in the Semifinals hoping to secure a spot in next week's Season Seven finale. If last season is any indication, two of the semifinalists will be eliminated on Tuesday, but with The Voice's track-record of mixing up their format, you can never quite be sure. Case and point, on Tuesday's Results Show, eliminated contestants will have a chance to sing and earn another chance at the title. Will it be just the seven singers eliminated since Week 1's mass elimination of eight Hopefully we will get some clarification during tonight's episode.

5ive have hit back at Nick Lachey after he called their group the worst boyband of all time.
The 98 Degrees singer initially called his former pop rivals "the worst boyband of the '90s", prompting 5ive's Abz to say that Lachey's group "sucked ass".
Lachey later 'apologised' and clarified his comments, adding: "When asked who the worst band of the '90s was I said 5ive and that's absolutely not true.

"I'm 33 this year, I've got a kid. I was 16, 17 years of age the first time around in the '90s, I'm kind of over it. He should be as well! Grow up a little bit, relax, take a chill pill.

The Big Reunion is on tour again, but this time it's a lads only affair, with 5ive, Blue, 911, Damage, 5th Story, 3T and A1 heading to an arena near you in October.
Digital Spy got on the phone with 5ive's Sean Conlon and Scott Robinson, and Anthony Costa, Simon Webbe and Lee Ryan of Blue, and quizzed them all about it.
"On the first tour there was a little bit of healthy competition, a little bit of banter. Who's going to play where... who's going to open, who's going to close," Conlon said when asked if there had been a running order squabble fest.
"But we never expected to play arenas again, so this is just a bonus really. I think nobody's bothered anymore, we just want to get on tour, have some fun and just have a great laugh.

From the 5:2 diet to Tiger Mothers and the furore over skivers-and-strivers, discipline has become the guiding principle that informs our lives. But is it a step too far when having Ocd and increased workloads become a badge of honour?
We have reached the end game of have-it-all culture. Because I'm Worth It has had its day, and discipline is the new decadence. The Nike Fuel Band, which tracks your calorie expenditure and praises you for an active lifestyle, has more smug-factor than a Rolex right now. The dominant meme of annoying Facebook behaviour has segued from the posting of party photos to "inspirational" quotes (American men – Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, Ralph Waldo Emerson – are especially hot right now). Meanwhile, the narrative of reality TV has changed: bad behaviour in the hot tub, à la early Big Brother, has been replaced, from The Voice to The Apprentice, by Saturday-night preaching...

Well done, “Elizabeth” and “Phillip” — you’ve played the part of average American citizens well enough to help your FX drama snag three Television Critics Association Awards nominations.
You might want to call the Kgb for reinforcements, though — The Americans will face stiff competition from the likes of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and The Walking Dead, all of which are also up for Program of the Year. AMC’s drug drama, which begins its final run of episodes Aug. 11, also won three nominations overall — in the same three categories as The Americans.
This year’s TCA Awards will be presented Aug.

The dust is settling on the 2013 upfronts for the broadcast networks, and as of this moment all 26 new series on the board for fall are potential breakout hits.
Not all 26 will be, of course. The networks will be lucky if two or three of their new shows draw really big viewer numbers. Some will do Ok, some just won't work and some could fall victim to a tough timeslot, of which there are several.
The viewing landscape has changed immensely in the past 10 years, but scheduling does still matter. With that in mind, here's an early line on which time periods on the broadcast networks could be the most competitive in the fall (all times Et/Pt).

Question: Why is the cast of NBC’s Parenthood jumping for joy? Answer: Well, it probably has a little something to do with today’s announcement on behalf of NBC by President of Entertainment Jennifer Salke that the best show you’re probably not watching has just been renewed for a full twenty-two episode season in 2013-14. What’s more, the cast of Parenthood isn’t the only one who has reason to be celebrating today. For joining one of the small screen’s best dramas is Revolution, Chicago Fire, Grimm and Law & Order: Svu. Full press release of which can be found after the jump.

Big Reunion stars 5ive have issued a strong warning to Simon Cowell's latest boyband One Direction about the perils of fame.
Watch 5ive issuing a warning to One Direction below:
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Sean Conlon, Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville and Abz Love argued that One Direction needed "protection" and said that they would inevitably "lose their marbles" eventually.
"They're little kids. When they go to bed at night, there's no way the phenomenon isn't messing with their heads," said Conlon.
5ive will appear in the final episode of Big Reunion on ITV2 at 9pm tonight (March 28).
The Big Reunion Live is released on DVD on April 1.

A Mobo award-nominated soul singer has been tipped as 'one to watch' on The Voice UK.
Nate James, who was nominated for two Mobo awards for his 2005 debut album, joined popstars such as Kavana, Hear'Say's Danny Foster and Cleo Higgins of '90s pop group Cleopatra in auditioning for the second series of the BBC talent show.
"Nate will be a revelation. The future is massive for him and he is a cut above the others with careers behind them," a production insider told The Mirror.
The source hinted that there may be more auditionees with a pop history, but not all of them make it past the first round, adding: "There are over a hundred people in the live auditions and only a handful with careers behind them – and not all of those get through."

ITV2's Big Reunion has been the best TV show of 2013 so far. Full stop. Every 'serious' drama, oh-so-dull crime procedural and glossy Us import has paled in comparison to the explosive fall-outs and grisly secrets of the British pop industry of the '90s.
The stars of the show have been '90s bad boys of pop 5ive. A group who imploded so dramatically that they now only have four members. But we don't talk about that.
Watch 5ive playing 'High Fives or Bunch of Fives' and the 'Lyrics Game':

911 have predicted that Jason 'J' Brown will regret snubbing The Big Reunion.
The 'Bodyshakin' boyband have made a comeback on the ITV2 show, along with Brown's former band 5ive, B*Witched, Atomic Kitten, Honeyz, Liberty X and Blue.
Brown decided not to join up with his former bandmates Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville, Abz Love and Scott Robinson on the show.
"I tell you what, he might regret it," 911's Lee Brennan told Heat. "He's obviously got his personal reasons for doing it, but maybe after he's seen this show."
Spike Dawbarn revealed that Brown was never a fan of being part of 5ive, and even turned down the chance to join 911 in the mid-1990s.
He said: "Jay never wanted to do it the first time. My cousin used to go out with him, so we know each other and I was asking her about it and she said, 'I've spoke to him.

5ive, Atomic Kitten, B*Witched, Liberty X, 911 and Honeyz have been confirmed for The Big Reunion arena tour.
The announcement follows the popularity of ITV2 series The Big Reunion, which has just shown its second episode.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 15 at 9am and are priced at £30 and £35/£32.50 for London.
"The Big Reunion follows their every step, as their worlds are turned upside down after years away from the spotlight," promoters Live Nation said of the show.
"For some it's the chance to relive their dream, for others it may open old wounds as they prepare to face demons they thought they had buried forever."
They added: "Each band will have just two weeks of intense rehearsals before they step back onto the stage to perform once again in front of thousands of fans at London's Hammersmith Apollo, tickets for which sold out almost as soon as they went on sale.
