The story of firefighters in Chicago.
Surprisingly this series is interesting and exciting. It's a nice change from cop dramas and their sick and perverted murder and rape stories which just give crazy people ideas. I thought it might have been voyeuristic and depressing to watch accidents and fires as entertainment but it actually is quite interesting.
The series shows the work of EMTs and firemen. It really opened my eyes to how much more EMTs and Firemen have to do besides put out fires. All the accident rescues (buildings, construction, cars etc). The characters are generally likable and human. Yes some of them are unrealistically attractive but it is a TV show not a reality show so who cares.
May not have been necessary to spin it off though. May dilute the viewership. Overall worth a watch.
