Rambo: Last Blood (2019)

This is not a Rambo movie. This is a really bad action movie with a old sly.

Didn't expect anything else, cause this is nowadays Hollywoods mediocre bs. Just as worse as all remakes and nonsens 30th years after sequels. No spirit and soul in movies nowadays, just clickbait.

Really tried, but not so good.

Only Mads is a character that starts out with some charisma and interest. Later on it becomes shallow.

The villains and support are so cartoonish that the power rangers bad guys has more depth into them. It annoyed me so much. I know that the movie what to do a cartoonish style, but do it with some level of maturity. The movie feels like a raded R child's Movie.

Eventually I fast forward to the action/shoot 'm up scènes. They are the best of the movie, but eventually I quit on the movie cause it's not enough to waste my time.

Archive 81 (2022)

Very good first 6 episodes!

I was blow away and intrigued with this serie.

Orginal and in its own style of storytelling. Creepy, mistif and surprising through every episode.

I binged the first 6 episodes and was I ready the next day for the final 2.

But noticed that episode 7 was completely irrelavant to the series. It fill up a gap, but inmiddely insults its viewers. So, that felt as a waste of film and my time. After that tone the series became from a intelligent view to a mediocre, archetypal plot. The ending makes a complete story. But it's not what it deserves.

Still recommend this series, it's not bad and maybe alot of people like this approach of ending storytelling.

Free Guy (2021)

Free guy is so good.

Watch it for the second time and it's even better. Great movie that hits it on all levels.

A movie that is lighthearted with a heavy true concept that is to be found in all of us.

Ryan Reynolds is perfect in this role and still he flows as himself naturally.

He has humor as well as character.

Movie respect the gaming world viewers as well as the broader audience.

All those Easter eggs are so well placed and it never feels as a gimmick.

The movie shines naturally, noting feels cheap and a cliche ending in a different suit makes it perfect.

Highly recommended!

The Vast of Night (2019)

Very surprised and enjoyed this movie!

The movie is labeled as horror and it scores a 6.7 here on Imdb. So, I thought that's really high for a horror movie. So, let give it a try.

This movie was a surprise for me and I really enjoyed it.

The opening scene is so well executed, it introduce inmiddely the 2 main characters flawlessly. Create the tone and atmosphere and all in a movie that set up in for the minimalistic way. Superb!

By minimalistic I don't mean bad, if well executed it mostly works better than maximized over the top high budget movies with over the top soulless CGI. And they nailed it in this one.

The movie is not a horror movie, let's get that straight. It's a sort of adventure/triller in the style of the sifi 80's movie area that take place in the 50's.

The acting is great.

Pacing and the length of the movie is well balanced.

Acurate setup.

Personally I would prefer that the movie had a little more minimalistic moments at the end. And this type story is used alot the last 4 decades.

That's why it loses some points.

But, it's fine for what it is and it's definitely worth your time of this style intrest you.

The Theory of Everything (2014)

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones set up a great performance with the story written from Steven Hawkins wife.

Don't espect a inside the mind of Steven story.

I was hoping that too. Little bit more thought processing into the universe of the man himself. They choose for the drama storytelling and keep it simpler for a broader audience.

If you want more in the mind stuff, just buy the books.

It's a film based on a book that Steven's wife has written. It involves the love and passion story from there lifes. And it's very well executed.

It's a good movie, but because it's only based on the drama, eventually over its long screentime it becomes a little overstretched.

Definitely worth watching tho.

Photocopier (2021)

Because Hollywood mess up alot lately with all the remakes and clickbait alike movies, I surge up alot of movies from everywhere but America. And this Indonesia movie hold up very well.

Great and believable cast.

Good story Trilling suspense Amazing production Respect it's viewer And a great ending, it's very strong in the concept of yang- yin on ironi itself.

Highly recommended!

The Witches (1990)

A classic that still holds up.

First saw this movie when I was the same age as the children in the movie. And seen it today (again) in 2022.

Still like it.

It's quick, gritty, funny and scary.

In 93 minutes they achieve alot, especially the world building.

Luke is a great kid Granny is amazing And the great witch is always the first reason why I jump into this movie. Still enjoy Anjelica Hutson performance in this one.

The supporting cast does great too.

The movie is also very respectful to the book itself.

Still, the movie is scary(especially now, because movies in 80's and 90's where far more brutal then now. Even children movies) What I like now and also then as a child. The movie still has a warm feeling and it's protective tone. Very well exuted, props for that.

8 out 10.

Antlers (2021)

Slow and it diminish the only strength of the movie.

Really was looking forward to this movie. Trailer looked good, production looked smooth. But it's a let down. Have seen many bad/worse movies lately, it's a shame.

The acting is not bad, especially the children are very good in there characters.

The movie first act has alot of opportunities for great misery and story telling. But, it is slow, really slow.

Second act is boring and nothing really happens. It's just the same thing as act 1. We get some gore and deaths. The gore is not bad but nothing is scary. Then they tell what the monster is and that the suspension killer.

Act 3 is really disappointing. Nothing is scary.

The beast kill some goons and then a 100 pound borderline woman kills it with ease and everyone lives happily and ever.

Not recommended.

Ghosts of War (2020)

Saw the rating of this movie and it's a ghost movie, I prepared myself for it. Just a good haunted movie and nothing complicated, let's go.

So...... Sadly it's not so good as the trailer what you think it is.

The movie is slow and when the action happens it's only jump scare after jump scare.

After 3 of them you're pretty inmune for them at that point.

The soldiers has almost no depth in character.

Only one soldier got some depth, and that was for me the best scene of the movie.

The movie also use alot of lights and makes it less scarier.

Cool idea, but boring execution.

3 out of 10.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)

Brilliant movie/game.

Like Stefan said : you think you have a choice, but it's what I choose you to do.

In your first noob run you try to play it in run and you have control over Stefan.

But, if you're curious you play more after a game over. Finally you try te get all the endings and then you realize.... Damn Iam in black Mirror mind game.

Played the movie after 3 years and I did the same again haha. That's what I like about Black Mirror. They play with concepts of mind games that are very related to modern or close to past and future time. This movie is a great game to play.

Wish there where even more choices and endings.

Definitely a recommendation for people that love the series.

Don't Look Up (2021)

Don't like modern society. So, this movie makes sick and irritated.

If the world in real life reacts like this, just let the asteroïde come and be done with it.

Turned the move off after 45 minutes Not for me I suppose.....

The Platform (2019)

Would rate it a 9 if the ending was better.

Great movie!! Dark, gritty and psycho.

Set up like Cube and circle.

The tone and levels changes are great.

Acting is top.

The ending is not really bad, it's a director choise. But, damn if they got that nailed, it would almost be a perfect movie. Even if they cut of the last 15 minutes it would be a great cliffhanger ending.

There are some debatable topic about the physics in the movie. Especially about the platform itself. But I just take it for what it is, because the concept of the movie is strong and drives the tone.

Still worth watching if you have a strong stomach.

She and the supporting cast hold up this drama very strong.

Not a complicated story, but a good realistic drama.

Love Korean movies. The are in my opinion doing well what Hollywood doesn't the last decades. That's have a good scrip well exuted with good acting and nows what it is.

The movie makes second guessing very quickly and keep jou on trilled all the way, until the middle of the movie.

They reveal the plot to soon, in my opinion. Personally would like to hold on the mystery a bit more. But, still the movie holds a good story and that's what they where going for.

Not bad, because it's good executed.

Definitely watch this one.

The Call (2020)

Really enjoyed this movie on multiple levels.

On psychology level, it's in the beginning a little questionable, but give it a chance. Because the intire movie will crack your brain. Even to the last second.

On a triller level it's scary as hell. Not only by the atmosphere, but the 2 main actors give it alot of depth.

The Rated R is good and it will not hold itself down. Because that's what rated R is.

Long time I've seen and experienced a good movie like this.

A solid 8 out of 10.

Death Proof (2007)

This movie has 95% dialog and 5% action. Normally the most films oof Tarantino does. But, mostly 95% dialog in his films are great and the action is the foam on the glass. In this movie, eeeh the dialog is boring and annoying. Only liked the dialog pieces with Kurt Russell and all the other r is just jobber jabber. The movie repeat itself halfway through. If you're still interested halfway through then jou gonna have a good time. For me it was fast forward to the action and finished just for the climax.

This movie is a joke. Felt like a stupid parody.

The movie is so weak they trow in on every 30 sec a flashback of the orginal trilogy. Frustrating as hell. Almost everything is copy paste from the orginal. Due now that they try to use that as a story thing, but it's weak and has no identity. They treat the audience as dumb and this whole movie is a insult to a very epic trilogy. Iam not a hater or try to talk bad. But, damn..... Mediocre is now the standard combined with constant failure of remakes. Movie is really bad.

This movie was terrible,predictable, no chemistry and doesn't now what it's has to be.

The psychological aspect in the movie is dull and childish. It's not accurate. They try to be also a horror movie or some. But that is badly executed. Once the movie was over had a feeling of wasting my time for more than 90 min. Trailer en scrip looked promising, but we get a very bad movie. Shame on you Netflix lol.

Cowboy Bebop (2021)

Don't know the anime original, so jump into the dark. I like it. The borderlands in combo with funny jazz touch is sweet. No modern politics BS or feminism nonsens is present. Good gore and not ashamed for what it is.

Simple and fun. But, last decades it's full of nonsens and bad execution. This movie nows what it is and I like it. Good protagonist, dog is amazing, side characters and phasing.

They try very hard to get you in this movie and try to let you think. I was thinking alot, because I enjoy psychology movies and crack my head. But, quickly drop the bar, because it's felt slow and not rewarding. The movie Shutter Island executed this type of story perfect, this is a bad version of it.
