Is this true? Are we going to get the sequels of the classics “School Of Rock” and “Pick Of Destiny?”
Well, Jack Black says so. Black recently spoke to Caity Babs of SiriusXM. When asked about the possibility of sequels to “The School of Rock” and “Tenacious D” in the “Pick of Destiny,” Black expressed his desire for more.
“Yep. Both of them. Breaking news. We’re thinking about doing both of those. It’s a hybrid – a school of D.”
Black didn’t go into more information about a timetable or the prospective follow-up movies.
This scene is more revolutionary than I think they even knew and it really stuck with me as a child. Especially the last line. pic.twitter.com/KkhvGicjVZ

Dewey Finn, the fictional substitute teacher played by Black in the movie “School of Rock,” encouraged his students to pick up instruments and pursue careers as musicians.

Photo: ‘Dead End: Paranormal Park’ The Beginning of the (Dead) End: An Introduction Once again, it’s time for me to review a piece of Netflix-exclusive animation based on a comic series. Today I’ll be taking a look at ‘Dead End: Paranormal Park’, based on Hamish Steele’s ‘Deadendia’ graphic novels, which was in turn based on his animated short released on Frederator Studios’ Cartoon Hangover YouTube channel. First published in 2018, ‘DeadEndia’ is the story of two teens who work at a haunted theme park, accompanied by their talking pet pug. While I’ve never read the graphic novels themselves, I have seen the original animated short, and can tell that quite a lot changed between it and the show that I’m about to review. All that being said, I’ve been curious about this show for quite some time. I’m a sucker for sci-fi and fantasy adventure-type stuff,...

In the animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park, vain ghosts, egotistical demons and a hilariously haunted park are no match for human teens Barney and Norma and talking dog Pugsley.
Neither are TV animation’s traditional age demographics. One of the newest entries in the “Netflix School Special” programming block, the show mixes horror and action elements with comedic and heartfelt coming-of-age storylines — led by two Lgbtqia+ identifying teens — in ways that defeat the age-old animation binary that sees content strictly for adults or (younger) kids.
The series exists instead within a space that has more noticeably emerged during the last half-decade: young adult animation. Dead End creator and showrunner Hamish Steele tells The Hollywood Reporter that when they were developing and pitching the show between 2018 and 2019, “there was some stuff like [Cartoon Network’s 2019-21 anthology series] Infinity Train, but that realm didn’t really exist.

Aloha, spooky nerds!
When I set out to collect the week’s best in paranormal pop culture news, I knew ahead of time I wanted to give a shout to Netflix’s Dead End: Paranormal Park. I have been waiting to check it out for some time, and it delivered as an emotionally intelligent, fun show for all ages. And I figured there would be other movie and TV news within the realm of the weird. What I did not expect was the real deal stuff that dropped this week. Not only did China release a report about alien civilizations but the whole dang city of Amarillo, Texas went on record with a video still of… something caught on camera.

In Netflix’s new animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park, Barney — a young teen boy with an electric blue ombre — and his dog Pugsley move into a haunted amusement park where they begin working (and fighting monsters) alongside Norma, a fellow teen-turned-friend.
It sounds typical enough for a genre kids’ cartoon, yet Dead End — a colorful trip into the pains and joys of teenhood as its main trio battles demons, ghosts and their insecurities — isn’t typical for animation.
The 10-episode adventure stars a racially-, gender- and sexuality-diverse cast, with the main ensemble led by voice actors Zach Barack (the MCU’s first openly trans actor) as Barney, Kody Kavitha as Norma, Alex Brightman as Pugsley, Emily Osment as demon Courtney, and Clinton Leupp a.k.a. Hamish Steele, the creator of DeadEndia on Netflix, talks about bringing more LGBTQ+ representation in animation.
“Back in 2014, Dead End, a five-minute cartoon about two friends (Barney and Norma) and a talking dog (Pugsley) who find their house is haunted, debuted on Cartoon Hangover. The cartoon proved but to a one-off, but in 2015, Dead End was reworked into DeadEndia, a comic book self-published by creator Hamish Steele.”

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 may just be this year’s most ambitious video game, and here’s why.
“Video games have always been the vanguard of technological advancement as developers wring hardware performance that no one thought possible. These advances come at no small cost—just look to Star Citizen to see how much time and money can be dropped into one game. This is why Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is so impressive.”
