Prince Harry is going to be clocking his milestone 40th birthday this month, and he’s going to be a bit richer just for it. The sizable sum will come from a trust fund that the late Queen Mother started in 1994 when Harry was just 10 years old.
How the Late Queen Mother Set Up A Fund To Benefit Great-grandchildren
Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother put aside a generous tax-free £19 million when she was aged 94, which will be inherited by her great-grandchildren.
A former Palace aide told The Times: “There was a trust fund set up at the time. It was a way in which the Queen Mother could set aside money for when her great-grandchildren were older and a way of passing a slice of her estate down in a tax-efficient way.”
“It was a way in which some of her estate could be ring-fenced for them.”

Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles tied the knot more than four decades ago in what was described as a fairy tale wedding. However, their marriage didn’t mirror a storybook about princes and princesses who live happily ever after.
When Diana found out that her husband was still seeing his mistress, formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles, the princess tried turning to others for help. She wrote letters to her husband’s father, Prince Philip, and eventually went to Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, for guidance. But as a royal expert has revealed, the queen really “dreaded” those conversations with her daughter-in-law.

Royal family followers know King Charles III and Prince Harry have had their ups and downs. And their relationship seems more strained than ever in 2023. Harry and Meghan Markle have discussed in interviews how everything went south when they stepped away from royal family duties. And now, it seems King Charles has a new “trusted conduit” he sees often.
King Charles has a ‘trusted’ friend he sees often in light of his strained relationship with Prince Harry
Royal family followers would love to see King Charles and Prince Harry repair their fractured father-son relationship. But King Charles and Prince William remain on excellent terms. Aside from family, King Charles has someone else in his corner — and that’s his cousin David Armstrong-Jones, the Earl of Snowdon.

Turns out there were some downsides to attending the coronation concert. Ok, maybe just one, according to Mike Tindall. The husband of Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, revealed what wasn’t the greatest about going to the coronation concert after King Charles’ crowning.

Coronation weekend included a star-studded line-up of performances and celebrity appearances at Windsor Castle on May 7. There for the coronation concert were, of course, many British royals with Tindall among them. He and Zara sat in the royal box alongside other royals such as King Charles, Queen Camilla, Kate Middleton, and Prince William, just to name a few.
Downton Abbey and Paddington star Hugh Bonneville hosted the concert. The night included performances by Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, Take That, and more.

King Charles has been officially crowned.
As important as who came to the coronation ceremony, however, is where they were seated.
People reports that while Charles and Queen Camilla were given the seats of honour in Westminster Abbey, his son Prince William and his family were seated in the front row.
5-year-old Prince Louis, his 8-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte, and then Kate Middleton were seated beside him. 9-year-old Prince George wasn’t with his family as he was attending the ceremony as a Page of Honour.

Prince Harry is returning to the U.K. for King Charles’ coronation on May 6 and many are wondering what kind of reception he’ll get from the rest of the royal family. It’s been reported that his brother, Prince William, is very upset with him so no one expects the Duke of Sussex to be seen with or seated anywhere near the Prince and Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton). But what about Harry’s uncles, aunts, and cousins who have now had months to digest what the prince said about the family in his Netflix docuseries and memoir Spare?
Well, one royal will likely treat Harry the same way he did during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee festivities and he wasn’t warm or welcoming.

Over the course of her 70-year reign, Queen Elizabeth II met political figures, actors, artists, and musicians. She knighted some of these people and simply offered a handshake to others. Here are eight musicians who met Queen Elizabeth II during her lifetime.

In 1965, The Beatles were at the height of their popularity, and Buckingham Palace awarded them MBEs. The decision was a bit controversial; even the band members were a bit surprised by it.

“I didn’t think you got that sort of thing, just for playing rock ‘n’ roll music,” George Harrison said at a press conference, per the Liverpool Echo.
Still, they decided to accept the honor. John Lennon later returned his MBE as a form of political protest.

Prince Harry and Princess Margaret friends? It’s what the Duke of Sussex thought should’ve happened because, as he shared in Spare, they’d had “so much in common.” Ahead, what Harry knew about Queen Elizabeth II’s younger sister (spoiler: not much) and why he thought of her before proposing to Meghan Markle.

Harry might’ve spent holidays with her and the rest of the British royal family, but the now-38-year-old admittedly didn’t know his great-aunt, the Countess of Snowdon, well.
“I didn’t know Princess Margaret, whom I called Aunt Margo,” Harry wrote in Spare (via Town & Country). “She was my great-aunt, yes, we shared 12.5 percent of our DNA, we spent the bigger holidays together, and yet she was almost a total stranger.
