Los Angeles, Nov 8: Caffeine found in coffee leads to an increased production of adrenaline which stimulates energy production and improves blood flow to the muscles and the heart, says an expert.
According to John Stanley, lecturer in biochemistry, Trinity College, caffeine could modulate fatigue and influence ratings of exertion, perceived pain and energy levels, all of which are likely to lead to improvement in performance.
"The ability of caffeine in coffee to improve physical performance during aerobic exercise and to restore mental performance when it has been impaired by fatigue deserves wider recognition," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Stanley as saying.
Drinking a cup of coffee about 20-30 minutes before you.

It used to be, when I was about to go home from the San Diego Comic-Con or some other show that required a stupidly long plane ride, I’d drop by the dealer’s area (you know, that ever-shrinking portion of the main floor where people would actually sell comic books at a “comic book convention”) and I’d blow about twenty bucks on stuff to read on the return trip. These purchases were almost exclusively of “funny” comic books.
Sadly, we have come to the point where, in the world of contemporary comics, the phrase “funny comic books” has evolved from a redundancy to an oxymoron and the funniest comic around these days is Deadpool – a title with a death count high on the Tarantino scale.

2012 will be the first year that GeekTrant will invade WonderCon, mostly due to the fact that it was moved down to Anaheim, CA this year which is right in our backyard. We're all pretty excited about attending this year, as we've heard it's a much smaller more intimate version of San Diego Comic Con.
WonderCon is set to open on Friday, March 16th and run through Sunday, March 18th at the Anaheim Convention Center. If you plan on attending let us know, and maybe we can meet up and hang out for a bit!
I've put stars next to the panels we are interested in attending. Check out the schedule, and let us know what you are looking forward to seeing most!

The Champagne must surely be flowing at Warner Bros which, for the second consecutive year, has been named the UK's leading studio, with record box office earnings.
Fuelled by the box office performances of such releases as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 (£73.1m), The Hangover Part II (£32.8m), Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (£20.7m to date), Horrible Bosses (£10.5m), Yogi Bear (£9m), Contagion (£5.5m) and Midnight in Paris (£2.6m), Warner Bros outperformed its previous record year of 2010 with a gross of £205.8 million - some 2 per cent up on last year - to claim top spot in the UK theatrical distributor rankings and an 18.04 per cent market share.
Making a considerable contribution to the company's 2011 success was the eighth and final movie in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. The film's July premiere was the biggest the UK has ever seen,...

Veteran actress Faye Dunaway has been ordered to bring her rent payments up to date as she continues to fight eviction from her New York apartment.
The Bonnie and Clyde star leases a one-bedroom, rent-stabilised property in Manhattan's Upper East Side for just over $1,000 (£625)-a-month - almost half the going rate for the area.
Her landlord Henry Moses, Jr. filed suit against the actress in August in a bid to have her evicted, claiming she's not eligible for rent regulation as she spends most of her time in Los Angeles. State laws require tenants to use rent-controlled properties as their primary residence.
The star hit back by alleging the apartment was in a state of disrepair and offered up her keys to the landlord, insisting she had moved out in May.
The two parties have been disputing the matter in court and Dunaway appeared in person for a hearing on Thursday to try and settle the matter in closed quarters with Judge John Stanley. Dunaway's attorney, Steve Ginsberg, Moses, Jr. and his lawyer Craig S. Charlie, were also present for the discussions.
After the meeting, Charlie claimed Dunaway, who stopped paying rent when the lawsuit was filed, was ordered to hand over the outstanding money, while his client had agreed to carry out the required repairs.
The case is due to return to court in March.

Last Seven UK Art*Here be spoilers.
Director: Imran Naqvi.
Writer: John Stanley.
The Last Seven is a London shot film from a series of production companies including: Goliath Productions, Nightshade Productions, Press on Features, and Vesuvius Film Partners. The film was released in the United Kingdom August 27th, with a DVD/Blu-Ray release August 30th. Starring are the usual Brit' suspects: Tamer Hassan, Simon Phillips, Danny Dyer and others, with the film delving into the spiritual realm through graphic character flashbacks. The Last Seven is a slow paced thriller without an initial hook, which left this viewer slightly unsatisfied. On the plus side, there is beautiful cinematography and solid acting from the core group of actors and the film does take on some interesting existential themes. Plus Danny Dyer is in one of his first serious roles.
The film involves seven strangers waking up at the same time in a deserted London.

London Population: 7 Million. Until Today. I've never heard of this film before today, but it doesn't actually look that bad, although I will admit that I think we're starting to see a little too many of these "a few people are left alive" post-apocalyptic thrillers these days. Film School Rejects recently featured the trailer for The Last Seven, a straight-to-dvd film directed by Imran Naqvi about seven people in London who find out they're apparently the last seven people in existence. What happened? And what's going to happen next? I really like the vibe in this, I'm surprised it's just a DVD release, but I guess not everything can be theatrical. t the official UK trailer for Imran Naqvi's The Last Seven: The Last Seven is directed by Pakistani filmmaker Imran Naqvi, a former steadicam operator who's making his feature directing debut. The screenplay was by written by newcomer John Stanley.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the fastest-selling DVD of the year. The movie is the sixth in the series of the popular franchise, which is based on the books by British author Jk Rowling. Figures show that 840,000 copies of the flick, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, were sold in just a few hours. Publisher Drawn and Quarterly has compiled the work of parody cartoonist Robert Sikoryak in a single volume titled Masterpiece Comics. The satirical artist made a name for himself in the 1990s with his comedic crossover projects. Some of his notable strips have combined Batman with Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, John Stanley's Little Lulu with The Scarlet Letter and Ziggy with Voltaire's Candide.
